Ling Long Xuan
I recently dined at Ling Long Xuan, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor is both elegant and cozy, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. The service was exceptional; our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the beef with string bean, which was a standout. The freshness of the ingredients really shone through. The drink menu was equally impressive, featuring a great selection of wines and creative cocktails. We finished off our meal with desserts, and it was the perfect sweet ending. Overall, I can't recommend Ling Long Xuan enough. I’ll definitely be returning for another amazing meal. Five stars!
I sat at a completely empty table for 4 in an EMPTY RESTAURANT. Was made to sit in a corner in the back. "We're expecting a lot of people for lunch". Why not a table up front for two ? Or just let me sit at the table I picked. Why the back? Seems very weird. Especially since right in front of me, two people sat at tables meant for 4. And then one person, sat at a table meant for 4. Pretty rude, considered they weren't asked repeatedly how many ppl were in their party, or asked to move. Chongqing chicken was "ehhh". Not spicy AT ALL, and not crispy. I can't give a higher rating, based on how I, a PAYING CUSTOMER was treated. She was rude to another potential customer as well.
Sky Dragon
Just bland unseasoned rice. Rice is Not fried rice. Chicken has no General's seasoning.
Terrible , fries were under cooked and my chicken wings were black. Never again , then they said they had no drivers to come out.
Lin's Gourmet
$30 in the trash. Ordered moo goo gai pan and got chicken and mushrooms in a thick, salty sauce. No carrots, snow peas, or bamboo shoots. The sauce is supposed to be a thin and clear. I’ve ordered from dozens of Chinese restaurants around the country and I don’t know what they gave me. Tried to give it to my dog, who will literally eat her own poop, and apparently she prefers her poop.
I finally learned my lesson with this place. I don't eat Chinese food often but when my co-workers want to grab something together, we take a walk to this place. Twice I've been ripped off. My co-workers and I went at 1pm for lunch. I ordered the boneless spare ribs lunch special. She asked if I wanted the combo, I said yes. The menu said the combo is $9.95. The staff said my total is $11.68. I was confused by the high price. After I paid, I examined the menu being confused why it was high, and what was the difference between lunch special and combo if both come with fried rice and egg roll. She couldn't give me a clear answer other than the lunch special ends at 3:30pm. Ok but it's 1pm. Then said combo is bigger and soda is NOT included. You have to pick between egg roll or soda. But my meal is the same size as my co-workers who also ordered from the lunch menu. So I'm guessing we all paid for the combo instead of lunch special. After I left, I saw on the receipt I was charged $10.95 instead of $9.95 for the "combo". My co-workers also found that they were overcharged when they looked at their receipts. They lost my business with this.
Yoan Fong Chinese
I ordered the General Tao's chicken combination. It was very good. This is basically a strictly takeout
I’ve been eating from here for years and never had one problem.
Neptune Cafe
I recently moved to NYC and got food from a five rated Chinese restaurant. The food was way below what i used to eat almost everyday at Neptune. I am gonna miss it.
Whoever works there is very rude . They could never get anything right. Rude lady!! She repeated the oorfer and still got it wrong.
New Panda House
Actually better than I expected. Ordered some dumplings and they came with lots of soy sauce and sweet chilli. Loved it
The food was amazing. It was warm perfectly cooked the rice was soft the chicken was perfect the shrimp was amazing. It was outstanding for my first time ordering. The employees where very nice.
Dumpling Cafe
A hidden gem in the Newport mall food court serving authentic Chinese/Taiwanese noodles and dumplings. I don’t understand how this place has a rating under 4 stars. 🤷🏻♂️ We ordered the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, chicken “juicy” (soup) dumpling, and spicy wontons. The noodle soup was rich in flavor, the noodles had a lovely chew, and the beef portion was substantial and great texture. I’ll definitely be back!
I didn't expect to find food this good at a food court! The dumplings here are amazing. So hard to decide which I liked more, steamed or pan fired, they were both so good. Pan fried cost a little extra and adds a nice crispy texture but steamed was clean (sans oil) and tasted very fresh. The crispy chicken soup noodle hits the spot on a cold day. It very flavorful and the noodles were served firm (the way I like it!). They give you a very generous portion of chicken. I left stuffed!
New Kellogg Garden
Allergy warning all fried rice dishes are made with egg. I didnt know this when ordering and my son is allergic to eggs. When I called the lady was so kind. She remade his entire order not just the rice. Fried chicken is soggy , crab sticks are soft as well. Egg rolls and shrimp rolls dripping in grease. Egg Foo young sauce was good but the eggs were flavorless.
Finally tried this establishment after hearing good things. Let’s start with the customer service. Terrible. The woman behind the glass is smug, impatient and short with customers. She should find a different job if it drains her so immensely to converse and answer questions regarding the menu. Now, as for the food? Leaves much to be desired. Their version of “fried chicken wings” is 6 party wingettes that they claim are 3 wings cut in half. They also don’t fry them like a typical chinese restaurant, they almost roast them, maybe air fry them. Bland in flavor. Fried are flavorless, soggy and they give you a portion that is child sized. The shrimp roll is a joke. It’s tinier than the egg roll and wrapped in spring roll paper, which is thinner than the usually thick and crunchy egg roll wrapper. I cut it in half to check it out and I kind you not there was ONE tiny shrimp, a massive amount of undercooked cabbage and tiny shreds of white meat chicken. Never ordering here again. Lastly, the environment is dingy, dirty and unwelcoming. Since the start of covid they’ve obviously changed their establishment to make it take out only and that’s cool, but they treat the area for customers like storage where everything is dusty and dank.
May May Kitchen
Its so good its my first time ordering from here i was type nervous to order cause one place I ordered from lo mein was disgusting and pale but i trusted this place 🤟🏾 its BUSSIN REAL GOOD i got vegetable lo mein with broccoli and general TSO’s chicken its the first time I had the vegetables like this some are spicy one looks like a pickle but it’s not, its good though👍🏾 and the customer service was amazing on the phone they we’re patient with my questions and the delivery was on point. By the way those red things on the side in the picture are the things thats spicy but yeah you can’t find good lo mein everywhere but this place definitely has it thank you may may kitchen
DO NOT EAT FROM HERE!!! This place is extremely nasty and they are disrespectful. I made two orders and one of the orders that I received had an eaten bone in the rice! Mind your order was orange chicken which is boneless. I was disgusted, then they gave me a hard time over the phone. 0/10 would never recommend this.
China Fun 88
I ordered chicken wings with pork, fried rice and an eggroll. It was terrible and not worth the price. Disgusting flavors in all of the food. The place was very busy. Everybody seemed to be ordering stirfry. Maybe that’s great but definitely not the place for fried rice, eggrolls, or chicken wings.
I placed 2 orders, chinesee mix veggies with chicken and rice. Veggies, only broccoli and no chicken. And bonless spare ribs. First time o ordered, and last.. worse $ 22 lost. Small portions for price. Not worse it.
No. 1
Best Chinese in Hoboken hands down. Every other place is aggressively mediocre or worse. If you're reading the reviews about them being rude, then you know the food is actually good. Cash only kinda sucks but it's fine.
Saw good reviews and bad reviews, but wanted to come on to kick the nay sayers to the side bc this is REALLY good. The Mei fun noodles were great , Thai Trio was solid - definitely will go back.
New Good Friends
The picture speaks for itself self .. literally disgusted! $40 gone to waste because I couldn’t stomach to eat what I ordered.
If there was less than 1 star, this would get it. I could have had a better meal, quality and size for the price in the hood of the Bronx NY. I ordered vegetable lo mein, mixed vegetables in garlic sauce. It was like the boiled the vegetables in oil then scooped it in a ridiculously small placed container for the price of $8-9. There was no flavor whatsoever, either the mixed vegetables or the lo mein. I paid $20, plus a $5 tip. For garbage. And .... my stomach hurts.
