Gem Bistro
They have a different cooking style and different dishes than other Chinese restaurants I've been too. I like their fried rice and their spicy noodles soups.
Great taste with good price! It only support picking up though, no dine in. The owner is very friendly and nice! But be aware that there’s no parking spot (you can probably stop temporarily at the front of the restaurant) and driving there in a rich hour is a disaster…
Pinwheel Garden Dumpling and Noodle Bar
I was super excited about the menu but wasn't crazy about my meal and the flavoring. I had the Thai Basil Fried Rice. Perhaps I can give it another try and select something else next time. The ambiance in nice and chill but a bit small with uncomfortable seating. I think it's best for takeout. The staff was friendly and service was quick!
I got the Mushroom Drunken Udon and it was delicious. I debated adding a protein but it was pretty good even without it. They have some outdoor seating while the weather is still nice.
New Yummy Chinese Restaurant
I love the beef mei fun! Egg rolls and spring rolls are super yummy. I’ve been going here for years and they are always great. The portions are generous and the price is more than reasonable!
Generous portions not stingy with the proteins and quick delivery. Best place in the area and have been for a while. We've been saying it's really good lately every time we order. 4.5 stars
Green Shell
SOOO DELICIOUS AND FRESH. This was so excellent. Chicken and garlic sauce with vegetables. I highly recommend it.Thank you for a great dinner! Excellent portion!
I been ordering from this Chinese food place forever Until today . My shrimp fried rice has what looks like a little bug on the shrimp which is totally disgusting. I called and they offered a refund but for me to go pick it up and it’s already 9:36 PM .
China Garden
Best American Chinese I’ve had in years. Great portions—got the combo—hot and sour soup was tangy and spicy, sesame chicken had nice chunks of meats, and the egg roll reminded me of childhood—yum! Felt like an amazing value for what it was plus water was only $1. Highly recommended 👍
If I could give 0 stars I would I got the sesame chicken with fried rice the fried rice tasted like straight old oil and had no flavor and it was nasty. The chicken did not taste good at all I would not recommend this place 0/5 stars.
Sen Hai
a true hole in the wall!!! family owned. food hits every time and is worth every penny. always satisfies my chinese craving!! their lomein is my favorite it’s garlicky and delicious. highly recommend if you’re in the area and need a quick bite or ordering delivery :)
My go to Chinese takeout spot for the past 3 years. Consistently delicious and fresh food, great price and portions. Delivery is quick too.
China Spice
“glad to find indo-chinese food joint within reach...” being an Indian, I always look out for indo-Chinese food and heard about it the lot...glad I tried this y'day (03/09) and apart from food what I found fascinating is, its Price ;) in $5-6, you can have sumptuous appetizers... wallah. we tried 4-5 starters... pan-fried chicken chilli, steam dumplings, chicken lollypop, chicken 65, samosa and everything was good. they allow BYOB too. in the main course, we ordered triple schezwan rice (too spicy), china spice fried rice and Hakka noodles... quantity was as usual too much so we packed the rest. the server was one girl who is full of courtesy... and she was the one who was taking care of all the order from 4-5 tables and delivery too. only con is they don't have too much space but what I saw, people opt for 'to go' over there. bottom line- will go there again for sure :)
Food was excellent specially kai chi drums of heaven, but this time had to wait 45 mins before food arrived, rest of the food Hakka chili chicken and Szechwan triple rice was not that great, will definitely revisit whenever feel like eating indo chinese.
Asian Kitchen
The general tso was terrible. It barely had any sauce and tasted like soft chicken nuggets
Love this place my number 1 place always make my food good
Jade Wok
Best tasting chicken and shrimp lo mein in the heights by far! My overly critical mother is a fan, and that’s saying a lot! They’re generous with the shrimp. Their fried rice looks more like yellow rice, yet it has more flavor than any of the competing Chinese restaurants along Central Ave strip. Their chicken wings dont have the authentic usual Chinese take out taste but it’s juicy and crispy as any good wing spot’s.
Have been coming here for a long time, the owners are the sweetest and the food is really great! I love the fact can get great quality food and sushi so close to home and at a great price!!! Win win for a fast delicious weeknight dinner!
Grand Sichuan
Always passed by this place... what a mistake. I was amazed by the szechuan food!!! The spicy spliced fish // the fish cabbage soup // bokchoy is so flavorful. It's a hole in the wall restaurant, of course service isn't going to be michelin star grade. but the food is authentic flavorful and relatively cheap for the area, and the serving size is impressive. will keep going back, will bring friends.
I had the worst experience in this restaurant. Food was bad and the service was awful. Even they didn't provided proper cutlery for dining, they gave paper cups and plastic spoons and didn't refill the water. But surely they asked for tip in such a rude way.
Chengdu 1
Had a lovely dinner here! The shrimp dumplings soft and tender in a nice sauce. If you like some kick I think you have to ask for extra spice as it was more mild in flavor. The fish we had for dinner was awesome with an incredible presentation making it easy to eat. Meal was: Crispy Whole fish with pine nuts and garlic sauce. If you have a large group they do have a large round table with a sweet Lazy Susan.
Have come here multiple times with my friends. This is a family-run business and all people there are lovely. Food there is good, especially considering its wallet-friendly pricing. I would rate Chengdu 1 as my everyday go-to place for Chinese food in Jersey City (not saying it’s best in food quality, but instead best overall - price+quality).
Fortune
I always get boneless rib tips and shrimp fried rice and chicken wings in garlic sauce from here never had anything else from here but they make this dish so good !!!! Sometimes the chicken wings need a little more crunch to it with the garlic sauce but is so good like I said and only other thing is they need to put more shrimp in there shrimp fried rice . Other than that they are good and decent pricing .
The food was pretty mediocre and we didn't get food poisoning. Sauces were... Not quite right. Was a little surprised with portion sizes being so small, so fyi pint sizes are quite petite. The egg roll was really bad, too much dough, not seasoned well. We did like the lo main and fried rice. Mixed vegetables were decent too. The pork dish we got was 1/2 sauce (see orange sauce picture). The picture of me holding a box of rice is the side of rice, not a pint, those are a bit bigger.
