Based on customer reviews, Ling Long Xuan offers a mixed dining experience. One recent diner described their visit as truly unforgettable, highlighting the warm and inviting atmosphere with elegant and cozy decor suitable for various occasions. They praised the exceptional, attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service. The food was described as beautifully presented and bursting with flavor, with a strong recommendation for the beef with string bean, emphasizing the freshness of the ingredients. The drink menu, including wines and creative cocktails, was also noted as impressive, and the desserts provided a perfect sweet ending to the meal. This customer highly recommends Ling Long Xuan and intends to return.
However, another customer reported a significantly different experience. This reviewer described being seated alone at a table for four in an empty restaurant and subsequently being moved to a corner in the back, with the explanation that the restaurant was expecting a lunch rush. The reviewer questioned why they were not offered a table upfront for two or allowed to remain at their initial choice. They found it particularly inconsiderate as other individuals and pairs were seated at tables meant for four without similar requests. This customer found the treatment rude and, as a paying customer, could not give a higher rating. They also mentioned witnessing the server being rude to another potential customer.
The Chongqing chicken ordered by this reviewer was described as "ehhh," not spicy, and not crispy.
Summary of Observations:

I recently dined at Ling Long Xuan, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The decor is both elegant and cozy, making it the perfect spot for any occasion. The service was exceptional; our server was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Now, let's talk about the food! Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. I highly recommend the beef with string bean, which was a standout. The freshness of the ingredients really shone through. The drink menu was equally impressive, featuring a great selection of wines and creative cocktails. We finished off our meal with desserts, and it was the perfect sweet ending. Overall, I can't recommend Ling Long Xuan enough. I’ll definitely be returning for another amazing meal. Five stars!
I sat at a completely empty table for 4 in an EMPTY RESTAURANT. Was made to sit in a corner in the back. "We're expecting a lot of people for lunch". Why not a table up front for two ? Or just let me sit at the table I picked. Why the back? Seems very weird. Especially since right in front of me, two people sat at tables meant for 4. And then one person, sat at a table meant for 4. Pretty rude, considered they weren't asked repeatedly how many ppl were in their party, or asked to move. Chongqing chicken was "ehhh". Not spicy AT ALL, and not crispy. I can't give a higher rating, based on how I, a PAYING CUSTOMER was treated. She was rude to another potential customer as well.
Forgot to take pictures of the food, but enjoyed my lunch here! We had the Shanghai sui mai ($4.95), beef pan fried noodles ($15.49), and the crab meat pork soup buns ($10.90). All was amazing and flavorful but our favorite was definitely the pan fried noodles. The texture and sauce made it a very enjoyable meal and the soup dumplings were hot and juicy with so much broth. I’m definitely coming here again as the prices are pretty affordable and the food quality is amazing! Plus our waitress was very helpful and introduced us to Wong Lo Kat Herbal Tea which I am now obsessed with.
Service attitudes extremely terrible. We found a “hair” in one of the dishes, the women act like it’s our fault to found that. Tell us we don’t have to pay for that dish and then take that dish right away very arrogantly. Terrible Attitude! Very bad experience!
First time ordering from this restaurant, got a Braised beef brisket with quail eggs (spicy) for $29. However, I was quite disappointed when it arrived. Not sure about other dishes. Compared to the Curry beef brisket at $16 per serving from the Boom Fryer inside Newport Mall, the portion sizes were identical, but the beef from Linglongxuan had fewer tendons and it's kinda of dry although it had lots of sauce, the beef fiber just stuck btw my teeth, have to spend ten minutes on flossing. Additionally, putting chili peppers in the smooth-textured curry beef brisket didn't quite match, and it was overly spicy. People who aren't used to spicy food might find it rather uncomfortable.
