Glutinous "Grey Water Millet Cake/Grey Water Cake"
A snack from my hometown, glutinous and delicious. We usually call it "corn rice"

Prepare the required ingredients

Soak the millet in water overnight in advance, drain and set aside.

Add 100 grams of water to make a fine rice milk.

Strain the rice milk 1-2 times

Add glutinous rice flour and cornstarch to the rice milk and stir well

(1) Yellow gardenia, 75 grams of water, alkali sand, add to a small pot and boil, let cool, and set aside.
(2) Add gardenia water to the batter and mix well. -
Add cooking oil and mix well

Pour the rice milk into an oiled container

(1) Shake three or four times to shake out the large bubbles;
(2) Put hot water on the pot, steam on high heat for 15 minutes, then turn to medium heat and steam for 20 minutes. -
"Syrup": Add the ingredients of the syrup together and boil it.
â ï¸ Sweetness is cooked according to personal preference. -
Let the millet cake cool slightly, cut into pieces, and pour an appropriate amount of syrup.
â ï¸ The knife used to cut the millet cake is smeared with some oil, and it will not stick to the knife. -
