Sky Dragon Chinese Restaurant 龍翔酒樓
I always enjoy my visits to Sky Dragon. The food is consistently fresh and tasty. Some highlights are the chives and shrimp pancake (#20) and rice noodle roll w/ pork and green onion (#39). It's one of the least expensive dim sum options in Chinatown, but the quality is still good. Great views of the city from the dining room. It's fun taking the elevator or stairs to the top of the Dragon City mall. Are there better dim sum places in the city? Absolutely. But food/atmosphere/staff are great at Sky Dragon, especially given its price point.
Ordered take out, the siu mai are very small, almost all dumplings were a bit undercooked & grainy, the spare ribs order is also very small. Taste is ok, but inconsistent
Dundas Spring Garden
Ordered on Chinese delivery app last night, noodles tasted off at first but I just thought they didn’t make it properly (also didn’t taste that good but it was cheap) didn’t think it was a safety concern at first. I woke up severely dehydrated and wanting to puke, spent morning and afternoon drinking water and trying not to throw up. Not sure if it was food poisoning but never ordering here again.
Ordered on Skip rice noodles with chicken and veggies. Rice noodles arrived in separate container - completely overcooked. Then I got another container with very weird looking sauce mixed with some veggies and little tiny maybe 5 pieces of something that was supposed to be chicken.. combined everything in a bowl.. awful meal.. just awful.. never again.
Bamboo Buddha Chinese Restaurant
Oh bamboo buddah, you bamboozled your food! Honestly, this would be a 5/5 Chinese food restaurant, but there is next to no protein in any of the dishes. The chicken balls probably have less than 5g of chicken, and the rest is batter. Same goes for the fried food like general tso's chicken and sweet and sour pork. I would so nearly 50% of the pieces don't even have chicken/pork. The shrimp low mein has probably 10 pieces for a 2lb dish. With that said, the batter is delicious and the texture is all there. The staff were friendly too. Just put more protein in and your review ratings would sky rocket!
This used to be my Chinese soul food spot. But quality has gone down hill big time. Pretty much $17 for all carbs and msg.
Chin Chin Street Side Kitchen
Has anyone else received this avocado superfood salad looking like this?! Missing: Kale, spinach, Napa, spiralized zucchini, chickpeas, edamame, marinated tofu, and soy-ginger dressing. What’s there instead are two listed ingredients (avocado, carrot) on what looks like a bagged grocery store coleslaw mix. The other dishes ordered were mediocre but at least the right ones. Won’t be ordering from here again…
Food is surprisingly good and I think I have found a place in the neighborhood I can eat at. Servers a generous and make sure you overload your bowl with all the toppings. Interior looks really good. However, they need to improve a bit on presentation. Overall it's worth going. I'll definitely recommend.
King's Noodle Restaurant
The duck dishes are so nice! It was just $14 each, don’t forget to ask for plum sauce. So juicy duck! Thank U so much for making a delicious one to make your customers happy day :)
The food was ok, typical downtown Chinese food standard, not great but not bad. You can tell the style is more old school which some will like. Average prices average sizes. They open early which is a plus and only reason I would come.
Twilight Family Restaurant and Bar
I ordered chicken in the ruff with veggie fried rice. The chicken was disappointing. The veggie fried rice was good but the chicken was extremely dry and ubsure what batter used for the chicken, it is definitely not the best. I ordered the schezuan shrimp which as good.
Twilight has the best vibe, great food, amazing entertainment and great staff. Love it here. The lunch specials are really affordable as well!! Shrimp chowmein is super tasty. Love the beef soup as well!!!
Tropical Nights Restaurant & Lounge
Went to try their food for the first time. Got chicken fried rice and chicken wings. It was good, the wings were tasty. I feel maybe a bit more seasoning in the wings can go a long way and the fried rice was good but lots of competition there in Toronto. Overall good food will be back friendly staff. It was about $28 for these 2 dishes Good job to the team.
Tried there food for the first time. Chicken fried rice and chicken wings. The pepper sauce is nice and hot great flavor. The wings maybe could use but more seasoning and same woth the fried rice, but non the less good. A bit on the higher end with the prices in comparison to other restaurants. I will be back to try the special chicken fried rice. Check them out.
Spring China House
A hidden gem right in the middle of North York! Delicious food here and very fresh. I got the lunch special combo for one and it was worth it. The chili chicken with steam rice, chicken balls and I added the spring roll was an enjoyable meal. This place is mostly a take out and delivery spot but they have a few tables for you to enjoy your food. Overall it was worth it and would come back again if I’m ever in the area!
Surprised the ratings are not higher. Very tasty, hot fresh, lots of meat and veg. Already ate and feeling full... still tons of meat and food left... not normal these days. Rare to find a good sized serving for a lunch special. I'm impressed... try the Kung pow chicken daily special is big. Worth the money.
Four Four South Village
I was dissapointed by the tomato beef hot pot I ordered - the beef slices were very frozen together and the cut of beef was sub-par quality. Western cabbage was also served; nappa would have been highly preferred. The cold side dish was however really good - the black fungus mushroom in particular was perfectly seasoned.
Very surprised by how cheap and delicious the food was. The prices are relatively low for Toronto and the portions are big. The beef bowl was delicious and I loved the chewiness of the noodle. The snow dessert and skewers were a favourite, everything was seasoned to perfection. Will 100% be back!
Da Fu Seafood Restaurant 大福海鮮酒樓
We came here Saturday around 12:50pm and got seated immediately. The server is very welcoming and foods served fast. It is regular Chinese Cantonese restaurant serving seafood and dim sum . All sizes are the same price at $4.98 for weekend,$4.78for weekdays, which is very reasonable priced. We ordered double lobsters set meal for 4 ppl, and the quality is average: 1. Double lobsters with ginger and green onions-3/5 (portion is very small, double lobsters are the same size as single lobster in other places) 2. Deep fried fish with Egg yolk 5/5 ( generous portion and very tasty) 3. Sour and Sweet pork 3/5 regular quality 4. Stir Fried veggies 4/5 Also ordered rice in the pot and deep fried sesame sticky rice balls, both average. Overall you get what you pay for.
We came here on Sunday around 1:30pm and still very busy at that time. The server is very welcoming and foods served fast. It is regular Chinese restaurant serving seafood and dim sum . Most of sizes are the same price at $4.98 for weekend,$4.78 for weekly and amount of each meal is large. We come here with 4 ppl then chose dimsum & some special week meal. Totally reasonable price

Good people
Chinese Food Gallery
I ordered from this place twice. The first time I ordered Chicken Chop Suey and there was no more than 3 pieces of chicken, there rest of the bowl was packed with bean sprouts. The next time I ordered I got the Kung Po Chicken as shown in the photos below I got 4 pieces of chicken and the rest of it was all vegetables. Don’t order from here total rip off.
In what world does this part of “Crispy Beef” come from?! Ordered tonight from UberEats just now. It’s just not edible .. 😞. Smells great! But beefy jerky just isn’t a thing right now.
