和順煲仔飯 Harmony Restaurant
We got the buy 2 get 1 free clay pot rice. The chicken was very tender and flavourful. Rice was just perfect with a little bit of the crust. The lamb noodle soup was perfect. Lamb was tender and soup flavour was just right. One of the best I’ve had. Picked raddish is soooo good. My daughter and I finished it all.
December 27, 2024 - Had dinner with some friends (5 in total). We ordered the clay pots buy two get one free (cash only deal), fried dumplings and beef brisket. The food was very good. My friends weren’t a fan of the chicken clay pot as it had bones in it. The bones gives it so much flavour. I liked it. I also liked the 4 kinds of Preserved meat, definitely my favourite. I didn’t get to try the beef clay pot. The brisket was so soft and tender. Servers were nice and the service was good. Definitely a 3.5/4 star restaurant
Tasty House Chinese Restaurant
Great value for the delicious food, we enjoyed our dining experience here. Fast service and just wonderful people. Highly recommend if you like HK cuisine.
PLACE IS LEGIT!!! Food, price, service, cleanliness - all good. 200% recommend. The Cheung Fun is super duper yummy. Really fresh, good texture, good thickness, sweet soy sauce was really yummy. The congee was very smooth and silky, great congee flavour. The stir-fry has good wok-hey. The service was great, well staffed, friendly, and quick. Place was clean and tidy. Washroom was clean. Price for a big big brunch was $29 before tip for 2 people.
China Gourmet Takeout
This is hit or miss. I have had this delivered and they don't give you soya sauce, or enough sauce for egg rolls. When you spend 60 dollars. This should be checked before sending. The delivery is good. Also Shanghai noodles where was the cabbage
The chow mein was extremely bland—no seasoning or flavor at all. While the portions were generous, the taste just wasn’t there. I honestly wouldn’t come back. I’d only recommend this place if you’re desperate for a quick bite and have no other options. Disappointing overall.
Kwan
Y’all have to read this review and understand why I give Kwan restaurant 10 stars if it was possible. What makes an environment is the people who live in that environment, not the price or location or even its status in the society. Food brings people from all cultures and races together as 1 in a happy and memorable environment and that is the outstanding and remarkable thing Dim Sum Kwan brings about. The service is wonderful ✨, the servers are kind, and amicable but most importantly the owner of the restaurant Mr Cheung is a wonderful and special person filled with love, jokes 😂 and hospitality. A lot of places are good but those places those places don’t have people like Mr Cheung. He is so far the best, most humble, kind, loving and respectful person I’ve seen in Toronto. Spending time in this restaurant with my friends was not only a wonderful moment but memorable thanks to Mr Cheung 👊🏼❣️. We are definitely loyal customers to place as from now after the 1st experience we had. This is not a marketing strategy, go check it out for yourself and come give me your feedback. Thank you very much for reading so far💯✨. Make sure you try their fried rice and chicken 😋.
Service, food and ambience were excellent. People are complaining about prices but for the quality of food they serve,it's worth it. We took our mom here for Mother's Day and she loved it,as we all did.
禧宴 Joyous Chinese Cuisine
I came here once of dinner and once for dim sum. I find that dinner service was very good. The lady serving us that evening was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious; we ordered 8 dishes for the 5 of us to share, and we did not even make a dent hahaha... they portions are very big, and we took the rest of the food home. Highly recommend coming here for dinner :) Dim sum was just madness - it was very busy on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30pm, with lots of people standing at the front door. I actually don't like loud and crowded space; we couldn't even speak at the table with just the 4 of us. My voice was completely gone after that. I do not recommend coming here for dim sum, not because the food wasn't good, it was just WAY too loud.
The Chinese dishes and atmosphere at Joyous was great! We celebrated Chinese new year with family here and the food was delicious and the ambiance and service fun and family-oriented :) we loved the variety of dishes, from loved Chinese classics to more fancy Chinese cuisine. One of the dishes featured Chinese spun sugar candy, which was so cool to try!! Definitely a nice Chinese restaurant to try out for your next family gathering!
Dynasty Chinese Cuisine
The food experience was not quite what I had hoped for. The snow pea leaves and mushroom dish was the standout; however, the dressing was a bit overwhelming. We ordered five dim sum dishes, and unfortunately, I was disappointed with the deep-fried items, which were dry and hard. The manager kindly had all the deep-fried dishes remade for us, and they were significantly improved, but by that point, I had lost my appetite and wished they had gotten it right the first time. Additionally, the decor feels outdated; the location on Bloor from 20 years ago was much more appealing.
There were 4 of us today for a 130 PM seating. We were seated right away. The Tea was constantly replenished and the service was very attentive. We ordered several different dim sum and the kitchen and servers timed it perfectly so that we always had food, but were never served too much at once. The food quality was top notch and personal favourite was the Har Gow. As treat we had the Tapioca and cake which a nice touch and not overly sweet. I should have taken more note of the various dishes so that I could comment more but we were enjoying the food. We will be back.
Not Just Noodles
I love this place! Good food, good value & consistently clean. Plus bring a date, one of you is bound to think this place is cute (see pic)
Awful food. Claims multicultural menu but it's gentrified and tastes awful. Had a tom yum noodle soup and it tasted like a slight spicy Campbell's canned tomato soup. Maybe because it's not a Thai place. But it's not a Japanese place either but they also have Japanese menu items. And other cultures. To be fair, there are some good ingredients like a bit of fresh basil and other herbs.. but i believe this place is trying to be too diverse and has a confused identity so it's not particularly great at anything. Also the upstairs bathroom is disgustingly filthy and the seating area looks quite trashy.
Tasty Chinese Food
Visited on a late Friday lunch time avoiding too much of a line up. I went for the large combo special which was around $8.50. A good choice of alternatives and the General Tso chicken was good, the green beans pretty good (a bit salty) coming with a large portion of noodles. Service was efficient and I was quickly served.
Really cheap Chinese food here… Probably the cheapest in the whole area. The food is not bad, not great, but the price is fantastic. I got the one meat one veggie plus noodle combo for $8.68. Hard to beat that. They are very clean and neat here. The lady who served me put the food so nicely in a box and arranged the vegetable so nicely. This place is in a little mall so we won’t see the sign on the street. It’s a little food court in a mall. Quite comfortable here. This is a great place for a cheap eat.
Manchu Wok
The food tasted disgusting. Like honey garlic chicken was cook properly, sweet and sour pork was too chewy and beef and broccoli was burned and they didn't have much food that wasn't cook or that wasn't burn. The only thing that was good is the noodles. Don't eat here. Also got food poisoning from here
The food tasted so bad and it wasn’t fresh at all and the people working here at the bloor subway station location were very rude when I asked them to either replace the food or give me the refund . They don't know how to talk to the customers and were very mean The service was pathetic and the food was really disgusting. The chicken wasn’t fresh and the noodles were very dry and felt like plastic and the rice were smelling bad. The food was gross I would never recommend this place. If there was an option I wouldn’t even give one star to this place.
Hakka Palace
A small dining area with big flavours. This place deserves better than it's aggregate google rating. Friendly and attentive service. Their crispy beef is very good. The hot and sour soup has just the right spice level and consistency. The fish pakora was flaky on the inside and properly fried. The Bombay chicken was tender and flavourful. Will be back.
Hakka Palace have been around since the 1990’s. Most of the time, I do take outs. I usually call it in and pickup about 20 minutes later. Don’t forget to ask for your pickup number at the time of order. Debit or Cash payment only. This is the first time I dined in with my friends. This place is small and cozy. The lady that served us was very attentive and fast. She got it down to a science. She gave us water to drink and our cutleries while we waited for our food. The food came out quickly one by one for our party of four. We were done in less than an hour tops. I remembered our Server came over mid way through our meal with a pitcher of water just in case we needed it. She even gave us our take out containers before we asked for it which was nice as we were tight on timing. You know that crazy Lunch rush. There was a steady stream of customers including a Police Cop picking up his own food. I ordered the Chilli Chicken (dry and mild) with white rice. Perfectly done to my liking. All my friends were happy with their orders too and packed all of their left overs home to eat later.
Duck
The char siu lai fun is a great value at $10. The meat portion is generous and their noodles and soup are fresh and delicious. I have considered trying the braised beef but I'm hooked on the char siu. Please keep in mind that this is a cash only establishment. The woman at the counter (I presume the owner) is friendly and remembers my order after only going a few times. I even got my white friend to order in cantonese all by himself and she was apparently quite encouraging with his attempt. They do seem quite sad and lonely, overshadowed by the other shops in the food court. Please support them as they make good food at a great price!
I always get the $9 BBQ Pork Noodle Soup. Absolutely BEST value for money in downtown Toronto. Delicious and unbeatable $$$ in this economy.
Deer Garden Signatures Toronto
I had egg noodles with pork blood and intestine in parsley and century egg soup, and I was really impressed with this restaurant. The hot and delicious noodle soup was perfect for warming up my freezing ass on such a chilly day. The noodle combo was fantastic; the intestine and beef tongue was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth. I also highly recommend trying their Hainanese chicken rice, it's flavorful and absolutely delicious.
I look forward to dining at Deer Garden after work, alone or with friends. I've also recommended many of my clients to come by after their appointments with me. The food is delicious and affordable. Never have to wait for too long for food and arrives piping hot. The serving size is generous too. The staff are the best! They're always polite, kind, courteous and quick to help you. Even when the place is packed and many customers are impatient and rude to them. They do their utmost to provide impeccable service! Highly recommended!
