Chee Peng Chinese Restaurant
First time ever eating here place a pick up order I thought I called the other place in town but apparently I called this place had no choice but to get the food.. the egg rolls were rubbery not even fried. They gave me crab ragoons which I didn't order it .. I didn't even touch them they were rubbery . I ordered sweet n sour chicken and it tasted like fish and gave off this weird smell that stunk up my car . Also ordered chicken fried rice and it looked definitely different but so hungry I I ate that the rest went into the garbage can . Hopefully I don't get food poisoning. Will never make this mistake again . Oh and the place had a very off off oder inside as well . It felt creepy in there .
Nice older place ran my an older couple. Food, service and value were great. Older building so it a bit dated. Only place in Fremont that has Dine in seating.
Moon Hing
NOPE. Just nope. Not even worth walking in the door anymore. This place has gotten bad with raising their prices and then not changing the menus that they're giving out off the table at the same time. The food is getting worse as well. I won't go here anymore. No thanks! My receipt literally said dept 2 and the outrageous price i paid of 76 dollars (for 2 adults and one child) Not even a single thing about what I ordered as far as how many meals or appetizers; or any individual pricing at all! It was horrible! I was definitely overcharged according to the current menu they were displaying on the front table! Never again will I give money to Moon Hing!
We just ordered soup on a cold winter afternoon. A nice big bowl of hot and sour soup for five dollars. It had pork two types of mushroom water chestnuts other veggies and was very flavorful. A big bowl of egg drop soup included mushrooms, and peas and was delicious. The waiter was very pleasant. Highly recommended. We did laugh about the country music playing in the restaurant.
Asian Express
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE! Literally took my payment before asking my address, then got an attitude with ME because she had the wrong address. Told me she had family problems and do I want the food or not. Def did NOT want the food after her nasty attitude, says she sending my refund and hung up while I was talking. Not sure if it’s her establishment or what but will NEVER eat here again. Very poor customer service. Not the lady with the glasses but the other one. If you having family problems maybe take the day off or come in later but taking it out on your customers is unacceptable. Also refunds take a week apparently. If I could give negative stars I would!!
We order from Asian Express approximately once every three weeks. Every other order it seems we have an issue. Usually, it's just that it takes 1.5h for our order to be ready instead of 45m as promised, so we have started ordering earlier and waiting to pick up the food which has alleviated some of these issues. Most recently - they completely messed up our order. As in- gave us the wrong sushi even though the bag was correctly labeled. When we called to report the issue, they offered to deliver us a new order but this would have taken 45+m. We asked that they credit us on the incorrect order and we assured them we would continue to order from them. She responded she couldn't credit us as it was a big order ($87). She then offered a partial refund and stated it wasn't her fault since she was not present when the order was prepared. We accepted the partial refund. We will not be ordering from them again. She was also quite rude and yelled at us on the phone, even though the mistake was theirs. Wanted to warn others.
Fu Jian Chinese Restaurant
Take out only. No dine in available. Placing the order through the phone. I ordered the boneless spare ribs dinner combination (came with fried rice) and lo mein chicken. Good portion size. The food was decent and pretty typical for takeouts. The spare ribs were quite dry but the fried rice was tasty. Street parking only.
Food was delicious, but I made an error when ordering and the driver was extremely rude & berated me over the phone. I ordered delivery because I was dangerously sick & couldn't really stay in the kitchen to cook due to an extreme fever, but when I placed my order Google accidentally filled in an address about a 4 minute drive from mine. The driver called me and asked if he had the right address. When I checked and then apologized at length for the issue, he began yelling- repeating "You gave me the wrong address! It's so far!" He also continued doing this when the order was dropped off. Quality of the meal was fine, but not worth the customer service. This was definitely also my fault to some extent and I feel terrible, but when you're ill and can barely walk without nearly blacking out you really don't want to deal with that kind of behavior. I don't plan on ordering from here again. If you do- double check everything, or you may have to deal with some attitude.
New China Dragon
If you left a bad review for this place, you probably microwave your rice. This is exactly what good Chinese takeout should be—flavorful, filling, and made fresh. Yes, you might wait a little—it’s because they’re actually busy doing things right in a real kitchen, not some reheated chain nonsense. Super well-run operation
Amazing spot for cheap classic Chinese takeout. Super efficient and nice despite being very busy. Food is fantastic for the price and portions are generous. They even threw in a free orange chicken last time I ordered. Love these guys.
Panda Chinese Restaurant
I will always come back to this place, as long as the current owners are preparing the dishes as this is where you'll get the best Asian cuisine that Rowan County has to offer. I crave this place and refuse to eat anywhere else, because why not just drive here? The receptionist and his wife are very kind people, this is a family owned restaurant. I have never had a complaint, everything is always perfect. The food is full of flavor, sauces are house-made, and the chicken is high quality. I usually get the general tso & shrimp lo mein with a side of shrimp sauce. it is so worth it. prices are fair considering the quality.
I'm new to area so this was the first time ever ordering from here. I called in an order of mooshoo shrimp one of my favorite dishes. I asked that I get an extra side of pancakes and jasmine rice. I specifically asked for jasmine rice because I have gotten it with fried rice before and always preferred it with the jasmine. I am 40 years old I've been ordering this dish for 20 plus years from prob 20 plus establishments, I have never not gotten rice with this meal. It is Chinese tacos it ALWAYS comes with rice plus I specifically asked for jasmine with it when placing the order. All I got was Mooshoo shrimp and a bowl of wonton soup. Grand total $24. I then tipped 3 and some change costing me $28. I get home I got my extra pancakes, my Mooshoo with literally 4 baby shrimp and all cabbage and carrots and NO rice! I called up there to let them know they forgot my rice and the guy told me the dish did not come with it! Like what?! I specifically asked for it and specifically asked you?! First why not?! Every other Chinese establishment known to man does! You only charged me over $20 for a bowl of cabbage and extra pancakes I didn't need because there wasn't enough food to even fill the pancakes I got. I explained to him I was a first time customer and I had asked him for it, I should have got it regardless to whether you are the only Chinese restaurant known to man who does not serve rice with there Mooshoo dishes! They made no effort to make it right just kept arguing with me. Total rip off for you money, terrible customer service and the dinning room when walking in was a complete mess, so bad I almost didn't want to even pick up my food, I wish I hadn't. I would not suggest this place to anyone, there just it to make a dollar... Probably why the place was dead at 6:30 on a Thursday.
New China
Food cooked to order and served hot! Excellent sesame chicken with brocolli and house special lo mein. Order at counter. Dining area is clean, spartan.
What a shame, seasoned with sugar, garlic sauce tastes like sweet and sour red sauce you get at the grocery store, hot and sour soup is nether hot nor sour, also sweet. Just the same flavor profile. Sad, so much potential with great ingredients and fresh vegetables. I had such high hopes.
Peking Restaurant
My delivery experience is GREAT! I get what I order everytime and the food always arrives very hot and has never been late. I cannot recommend enough their online service!
Got food door dashed and I ordered gen tos and got i think orange chicken. Looks like old food not cooked fresh today. First time ordering here ave the last time. Do better!
Gao Thai Kitchen
Since we are avid Thai food fans, we were on a quest like Don Quixote. I read the google tea leaves and we ended up here. Spot on, flavors galore. No doubt this should be your next stop. Staff was lovely, place was clean, platings were beautiful. We will be back. 🤗👍👍
We ate at this place because the restaurant that we wanted to go to had an hour and a half waiting time, in the middle of a thunderstorm, so we had to settle for less. Looking through the windows I didn't think it was an authentic Thai restaurant, but more of the kind that caters to Western palates. Sure enough, both the Som Tum Thai (papaya salad) and the Pad Kee Mao were quite bland. I was especially unimpressed with their substitution of ingredients: e.g. instead of the long string beans, they used normal green beans (much cheaper, too soft for the bite, and the wrong taste), while the usual bamboo shoots etc were all missing. When my husband ordered the Thai Jungle stir fry with shrimp, the waitress asked if he could handle level 4 spiciness ... what spiciness? It was barely a level 2 for our preference. The only redeeming quality of that dish was the generous amount of large shrimps ... worth the price they charge I guess. Service was impeccable, and it was definitely popular with the local crowd, as the take-out orders were pouring in. It may be good enough for people unfamiliar with Southeast Asian cuisines, but it certainly came short for this family of world travelers!
Merengue Restaurante
We tried mofongo and was good, but the service could be better. The girl who answered the phone has no manners in taking customers calls, after I placed my order she just hung up on me. Not even said thank you, I had no time to ask how long to pick up or how much was it.
Love the food, the place and all the staff is very helpful and lovely. I highly recommend to come any day of the week with the whole family. And Saturday/Sunday the grown up vibe is also amazing. 🤩
Goshen Chinese Kitchen
I rarely give out 5 star ratings, but Goshen Chinese Kitchen fits the criteria. First off, the hostess is phenomenal. She is lighting fast with her order intake. What's even more impressive about her is her memory. She remembers her customers & what they usually order. Chef Johnny & his team are great at what they do in the kitchen. The food is on point & it's good. It is the best Chinese food restaurant I have ever eaten at 😋. If you're looking for the best Chinese food in New York state, look no further than Goshen Chinese Kitchen.
Might just be THE premier spot for Chinese food take out in the county.. Food is like everywhere else but clearly you can tell the difference in their care and love by the chef and her approach and her joy when speaking to her. They make their own hot chili sauce which I adore and appreciate and their hot mustard is the only one I’ve come across that rivals YouYou in Middletown. Photo is of my empty plate but seriously, best sweet and sour pork from a take out restaurant I’ve ever had. 🍲
Kiki
Good food, decent price! The food was good and tasted fresh. The restaurant was very clean. I liked that very much. The prices were good. I expected the prices for good food. One hiccup was that my wife ordered sesame shrimp and we got sesame chicken instead! We live in Pennsylvania and I picked up the food on my way home because there is no decent Chinese food near where we live. The four stars is because of the mistake. We wanted shrimp; not chicken. Two of our other dishes were chicken.
We stop by to grab a quick bite. Place is super clean & staff is friendly. We had the spider roll & shrimp tempura roll. Both delicious & crunchy. We’ll be back!!
