Golden Dragon Chinese
We stumbled across this place while walking around downtown Belleville. When I tell you this might be the best Chinese I have ever had, it’s an understatement. The food was quick to come out, amazing flavors and the PERFECT Crab Rangoon’s. Fully recommend to anyone who wants to have Chinese for lunch or dinner. We will only choose this place from here out! Thank you for the experience and delightful dinner!
The restaurant is under new ownership so give them a try. The food was delicious. Service was ok. Be patient... there was one server taking dine-in orders, handling carryout, and taking phone orders. We waited a while for water, silverware, and grabbed napkins off an adjacent table. The place got pretty busy and the server was overwhelmed and visibly stressed. The food was delivered plate-by-plate. A tray would help them quickly get food out to the tables. They need an extra set of hands to help out in the front. Again, the food was great. Will definitely go back.
Peking Garden
Such a great place! Always fresh and quick for pickup. I come at least here once a week. The inside is very quaint, like you’re invited over for a family dinner.
Food was meh. Decided to try it out since New China is closed on tuesdays… bad idea! Crab Rangoon was so hard looks like it was left over from earlier in the day. The egg fried rice was okay nothing special. We also got pan fried pot stickers/dumplings and they weren’t cooked long enough. Idk where the good reviews are coming from but it wasn’t it for me. Idk how new china has lower ratings and tbh wit food is way better…. Sounds fishy to me.
Golden palace at battle ground
For at least 15 years this is my "go to" Chinese restaurant. I've dined in a couple times but we normally get it to go. Either way it is consistently good food with enormous portions. I love their chicken sub gum, and the broccoli beef is amazing. Chinese is my favorite cuisine and this place is one of the reasons why!
We always order carry out, and it never disappoints. Kind and caring customer service and a clean kitchen putting out delicious lunch and dinner fare
Gourmet Oriental
Very tasty Chinese food. We got the lunch special. Friendly staff and fresh ingredients I came to sit down and rest from walking around town.
Gourmet Oriental is my new favorite Chinese spot in Ventura. Tucked away off the grid in a small corner on Main Street, it’s the kind of place you almost miss if you’re not looking — shhh, it’s a secret local spot! If you're craving authentic Chinese food, this is where you want to be. Their wonton and hot & sour soups are both amazing! I’m hooked on the chicken chow mein soft noodle, Kung Pao chicken, and tangerine chicken. You really can’t go wrong with anything here. The broccoli beef, mu shu pork, Szechuan boiled fish or beef, and Mongolian beef are also fantastic. And if shrimp’s your thing, try the har gow or any of the shrimp dishes, all winners. Everything’s made fresh to order, so I recommend calling ahead. The staff is always friendly, and their prices are the best you’ll find anywhere in Ventura. Great lunch and dinner specials too! Gourmet Oriental is a total hidden gem and now my go-to for Chinese!
Golden Phoenix
Stopped in for a late lunch and got the cashew chicken with wonton soup. My husband got the sweet and sour chicken with sweet and sour soup. There was a lot of celery in my cashew chicken, and I cannot eat celery, plus the taste was bland. However, I would definitely stop in here again. The egg rolls were so good! Some of the best I've eaten. Service is friendly and fast. *To note: there is NO buffet. This place popped up when I searched Chinese buffet, so just a heads up.
The food is decent but the customer service is terrible. The lady at the counter was very rude and cut us off several times while trying to order. The restaurant wasn’t busy and there wasn’t a line which dumbfounds me even more. Better options with courteous service around.
Peking
The worst Chinese restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. The female they have running the front is extremely rude she shouts and yells at you while ordering your food. She has no customer service skills at all. The guy in the back was cleaning shrimp without gloves. I caught him picking in his nose then went right back to touching the shrimp. They have pre made food on the floor open while there’re walking around talking and doing stuff all over your food. I will never spend money here if you love yourself. EAT HERE AT YOU OWN RISK !!!
⚠️ WARNING I WILL NEVER GO HERE AND EAT AGAIN THERE ARE SO MANY REASONS BUT TONIGHT MY FIANCE GOT SO SICK SHE THREW UP THE FOOD AS SOON AS SHE DIGESTED IT WE CALLED THE RESTAURANT ON THE WAY TO THE HOSPITAL AND THE GENTLEMAN ANSWER THE PHONE TOLD ME TO HOLD ON PUT A WOMAN ON THE PHONE SHE HAD THE NERVE TO SAY HOLD ON AND TOOK AN ORDER AS I'M TELLING HER SHE NEEDS TO THROW OUT THE FOOD THAT SHE JUST SOLD US BECAUSE IT HAS MY FIANCE THROWING IT ALL UP IN A PAPER BAG THEY HAD NO CARE FOR THE HARM THAT THEY JUST CALLED HER ON TOP OF IT THE DELIVERY DRIVER DIDN'T EVEN GET OUT THE CAR WE HAD A WALK TO THE CAR HE GAVE US THE FOOD THROUGH THE WINDOW. EAT HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS AGAIN My fiance threw up the orange chicken from this restaurant
King's Chef
This used to be a good restaurant. Now is Low quality food, super grease, no flavor, just oil. Very expensive for what you get. Not amount, i mean quality. I will never coming back to this store. I called them and expressed my opinion. They were thankful.
It annoys me to no end that people in our community will bash a business with a single star for what is frequently a very minor issue. Even worse, is the appalling tendency to be pissed off when there's a language issue. The people at this restaurant are lovely, caring, friendly members of our community. Whether I walk in or answer the door for a delivery, I see the same faces as I have for years. King's Chef has been a trusted, reliable Chinese restaurant in Smithtown for decades. I agree with anyone who scores them low for "atmosphere." But come on, friends, this is a classic "hole in the wall" Chinese restaurant. There is Zero ambience. It's almost exclusively a take out or delivery restaurant. You go to them for their food, not the decor or ambience. With this said, it's kept spotlessly clean and must comply with the town's strict sanitary and building codes, just like any other restaurant. And their food is reliably delicious, at an excellent price. Their lunch and dinner combinations can generally be customized to your preferences (we don't like mushrooms and they gladly leave them out of fried rice or mixed vegetables.) The meat and veggies are always fresh, things like sweet & sour chicken are perfectly fried and served with yummy sauces alongside, and they have fantastic crispy noodles. Their egg drop and won ton soups are family favorites and their fried rice dishes arrive hot and clearly just-made. Outstanding food at an outstanding value - what more can you ask for? In more than 15 years of enjoying their cooking and super-quick delivery, I can count on one hand the number of times the food wasn't exactly as expected. I have never, ever seen or heard of anyone finding poorly or under-prepared meat or shellfish. We would never use them again if this was the case. They instantly resolve any issues, always to our complete satisfaction. We count on King's Chef to make and deliver delicious food. Period. On the occasions I've walked in and ordered on the spot, it's awesome to watch the kitchen staff jump into action and make my food while I watch. Set your expectations properly and you won't regret ordering from a great menu. In return, you will enjoy an excellent, authentic Chinese meal that's both delicious and quickly delivered.
Yong Wang Kitchen
Close to my house and whenever I want quick Asian fast food, this is my go to. They are super fast and quality is good.
UMM. I tried it once but won't make that mistake again. I purchased shrimp egg foo young. The gravy was watery. The food tasted like dish soap. The meal was suppose dinner but it was a lunch size portion for a child but waaaay overpriced.
Yi Hing Restaurants
Wonton soup and egg rolls and pretty much everything we have ever ordered is delicious. Website is easy to use to submit your order for pick up or delivery. Give yourself around 20-30 mins though. Highly recommended.
Don’t know why people are leaving reviews like it’s poison food 😂 it’s salty and slightly greasy which is what I expect from a Chinese food place. Only thing I didn’t like was the egg drop soup it was pretty bland. Did no contact delivery and driver didn’t knock or ring bell or anything so my food sat out there for awhile in the sun before I even knew they had come (at least 15 mins) so that sucks for a 20% tip
New Jade Garden
Great food, love their egg foo young and chicken fried rice. Workers who deliver food should definitely label each container so that its easy to find what you order. Unfortunately, it wasnt implemented this time, hopefully next time? Otherwise great food.
They use to be really good until someone else took it over. Now the rice hardly has veggies in it and barley and pork if you order pork fried rice. The portions are smaller. The original owners or workers from 2023 and below were great. All new faces.
Teriyaki Madness
The food here is absolutely delicious. It's nice and close to the gym for a great post workout meal. I'll always enjoy Teriyaki Madness because they make it fresh!
Came here for lunch on a weekday, got here at 11:30, food came out 12:20. Plan accordingly, maybe order ahead if only out during lunch hour. I had chicken teriyaki with yakisoba, noodles was good but portion is small for $13
Chinese Wok
This is a brilliant business! Very respectful environment. And Great food! I had a cool talk with the gentleman taking orders while fixing phones! That’s insane this place is amazing! I think everyone should try this restaurant today, tomorrow, or soon! 🔥 That rice hitting tho!
I placed an order for pick up through door dash, the food was disgusting and inedible. I have never seen chicken that looks so grey and disgusting. Anything fried was insanely over cooked and nothing had any flavor. I called and told them I had to return atleast 3 of the entrees because they were inedible. They were nice at first and I returned the food. They said they would contact door dash and get me refunded for the 3 entrees over $40 bucks. I get a notification I've been given $3.92 credit for my next door dash order. The whole order was $90 bucks and I returned 3 whole entrees. He says there's nothing they can do about it and agreed I brought the food back for absolutely no reason. Don't waste your money here it's really bad and the service is even worse.
