Fuqifeipian at Ziyan in Flushing is amazing super tender, flavorful, and fresh. You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and the service is fast. Definitely one of my go-to spots for authentic Chinese comfort food. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!😗

I rushed there early in the morning on the first day of opening🤣 I finally got to taste the taste of my hometown😭 Highly recommend the rattan pepper chicken, husband and wife lung slices, spicy and sour kelp shreds and sweet and spicy duck wings! The rattan pepper chicken is very tender and tasty, refreshing and suitable for summer, not very spicy. Personally, I feel that the Husband and Wife Fei slices should be eaten with rice. It is a domestic taste, but after staying abroad for a long time, the taste seems to have become lighter... There are enough ingredients in it. I love the yellow throat and crunchy texture! Eat the peanuts quickly as they will become soft if soaked for a long time. I chose medium spicy, but I think it could be spicier because I love spicy food! Hot and sour kelp shreds 🤩Jue Juezi! It's sour and spicy. It's perfect to have when you have no appetite in summer. I also love the sweet and spicy duck wings! It's dry, sweet and spicy. I personally don't think it's spicy. It's dry and fragrant. It's suitable for eating slowly when empty. I also ordered a non-spicy version for the kids, five-spice shredded chicken, no bones, the kids liked it, the key is it’s cleaner, don’t worry🥳 Although some details need to be improved, I will repurchase it again. After all, this is not China. Let’s give Chinese restaurants in New York more opportunities to improve! This way I will also have the opportunity to eat more good domestic flavors😋

味道让人想起老家 I got a few breakfast items along with wonton soup and they were delicious. No frills, clean and friendly. Seems like a busy place since lot of the items were sold out. It might be hard for anyone who can’t speak Chinese to communicate but if you want to try anything here are some translations of what I got. You can maybe show the staff the Chinese translations: 扁肉 = wonton soup 豆浆 = soy milk 菜盒子 = pan fried vegetable bun 芋头糕 = deep fried taro cake 蒸小肉包 = small steamed pork buns

Very friendly. Authentic flavors. A lot of food choices. They serve a lot of customers everyday. For those who gave 1 star just because hardworking, first-generation immigrant small business owners are not fluent in English, you are simply entitled and lacking empathy. And this place does have a bilingual menu now. Can you delete your 1-star review?

暖心饭团 Nuan Xin Rice Roll 0

暖心饭团 Nuan Xin Rice Roll

If you like Japanese onigiri or Korean kimbap, I think you'll like these Taiwanese sticky purple rice rolls aka fan tuan 饭团 (stuffed rice rolls). At Nuan Xin Rice Roll, they’re densely packed mini rice burritos, stuffed with sticky purple rice, pork floss, vegetables, and your protein of choice, all held together with a seaweed wrapped around the ingredients. Husband and I got the eel and black pepper beef rice rolls, however there’s a large variety of choices at this stall inside the mini food court. When you order, don't forget to choose a sauce to go with your rice roll! The black pepper beef rice roll already comes with black pepper sauce, however we added mayo to the eel rice roll (delicious, a must get). You actually can taste every single ingredient when you bite in. & Because of the purple rice, the roll is slightly sweet and has a sticky texture. Also, be careful when you eat this because you might have a little bit of seaweed stuck on your teeth after every bite haha What we ordered: 🍚 $6.50 eel rice roll 🍚 $6.25 black pepper beef rice roll 🥛 $3 large soy milk 📍 Nuan Xin Rice Roll 暖心饭团 (136-55 Roosevelt Ave, Flushing, NY 11354) Open daily 8am-8pm

I’m sorry I don’t know what the 5 stars are for, this is very unusual tasting food. I’ve never tried anything like this before and I eat all sorts of food. I ordered crab rice roll and it came with pork floss in it…I can’t eat pork…so that got thrown away. The spicy chicken was okay, it tasted like it was flavored with spicy Korean sauce, which I like, but I thought this was Chinese so was confused(must not be Chinese?). The veggie rice roll came with a little lettuce, a little radish, and a lot of Mayo…they need to change their veggie roll and make it better. Lettuce and Mayo does not suffice. Make a spicy tofu option. The rolls themselves are so unusual. I never had purple rice like this. It’s so thick, must be glutinous purple rice. I was so incredibly full after one roll, and they look small. Small but heavy! The soy milk and fruity sweet drinks are good. I would come back for those. I’m not sure who the target market is for with the food, but probably not me.

Really amazing food here with flavors that leave your taste buds second guessing food! New comers, people who are regulars, really awesome. Only didn't like bottle options and the ones I wanted we not available, but spot is fabulous i will return!

Went to this restaurant with a party of ~15 people, and as expected the cost was high. The waitresses are nice and the food served was good, but with so many people, it was hard to tell what was going on. Overall though, some dishes were amazing and I highly recommend the lamb chops. Beware though, most dishes here are spicy.

Childhood favorite of mine. Classic spot to eat good food for a cheap price. Yes, service isn’t supreme, but it is $10, there isn’t much to expect. That price is nearly unbeatable. They are nice enough, and you really don’t need to talk to them to get your food. I just point. Large selection, though kind of sad there is no more fish. Thanks to the large selection there’s always something there I’ll enjoy. Atmosphere isn’t a 10/10, but I’d love a good dine. Very casual but given the price and food it makes up for the other shortcomings. Love this place

$6 for a meal of rice and four dishes with a soup. They have a good selection of Chinese dishes (approx 20-30 dishes), including vegetables, pork, chicken, tofu, pork and some seafood. Most of the dishes are average tasting. Soup was tofu, egg and seaweed. Overall, good portions at cheap prices. Can’t expect gourmet for this price. 🤷‍♀️

I was excited to try Chef Wong Bistro because of the high rating and reviews found on Google - a 4.5 out of 5 which is rare for a Chinese restaurant. Only a couple of photos posted on google lead me to being slightly skeptical on the high review ratings - namely the photos of the Cantonese fried milk which looked heavily battered and slightly burnt. But I was eager to have a yummy dinner tonight with GF and friend visiting from Tokyo. So we arrived at this Cantonese Restaurant and it was about half full on Christmas eve. I was a bit surprised most of the staff did not speak fluent Cantonese or a dialect of and most of the patrons that were Chinese were not speaking Cantonese either. But the food should speak for itself...onto the food! First dish that arrived was the fried milk. It was just like what others had posted up which made me slightly skeptical of the 4.5 rating - such a disappointment - 6 thickly coated and burnt on the edges odd shaped things on a plate with a spoon. Taste and texture is below average with thick crust and slight burnt edges just as it looks. Then the salt braised half of chicken (which was a special promo if you spend $100 you can order this half chicken for $1!) - a bit overly salty and average tasting/texture. However the ginger scallion oil condiment - one of my fav condiments - was missing one essential element the abundance of oil! It was made and served with barely any oil. Very odd. Next came the clams in black bean ginger sauce - this was the best dish tonight in my opinion. Fresh clams and cooked just right with tasty sauce. Next arrived the snow pea leaves in garlic - average and not overcooked. Last main dish was the large prawns in salted egg yolk - slightly below average as most Cantonese restaurants who offer this dish make it better. The salted egg yolk in my experience should be part of the batter when the shrimp is fried and when done it should light loaded with flavor. Here the dish was made where majority of the salted egg yolk made was like a gooey thick sauce over the fried shrimp. Not what I was expecting at all. The braised mushroom e-fu noodles were lacking mushrooms and supporting veggies compared to others I have had - rating below average. Last was the complimentary 8 slices of orange and tong sui - average. Overall it was average for food, service, and below average for ambiance - the toilets had loose to sink faucets that were dangling, toilet flush buttons that had the covers missing, and a bit unclean. I still disappointed at the 4.5 high rating thus I am writing this review.

We recently went here for a small family wedding reception. There were many dishes including Assorted appetizers platter of jelly fish, crispy pork intestine, fried fish/ribs; King crab cooked in 3 ways (fried, steamed and soup-style), Ginger scallions lobsters, lobster with snow pea leaves, steamed fish, soup, crispy chicken and Fried tofu with beef, mushrooms and snow peas. All the dishes were seasoned well. I personally like more of the assorted appetizers platter (not a fan of the crispy pork intestine because it has a very unique taste to it) and the lobster with snow pea leaves. These two dishes are differently cooked compared to my experience from other restaurants. There were some friendly servers. An unique aspect of this place is there is an inside entrance to Artisan Tea & Coffee shop right next door. So if you want specialty drinks from Artisan but don’t want to walk in the cold then this inside entrance makes it very convenient.

This place exceeded my expectations. I had the pickled vegetables beef noodle dish and it was tasty. Several different noodle dishes and main dishes to choose from. The sweet and sour pork dish was alright. The ambience was clean and inviting, unlike the majority of flushing eateries. The service was friendly and helpful. I would definitely eat here again when I’m in the neighborhood.

❤️❤️❤️ GREAT 👍 The broth is carefully textured. Good use of ingredients without overly doing it. Multiple noodle textures and widths. NO hand pulled noodle option is a minus. Menu is abundant but not huge. Great. Ambience is clean and straightforward. Overall highly recommended for noodle 🍜 soup 🍲 😋

I wasn't really impressed with the food we got. None of them tasted bad, but it was just mid. Service was extremely slow. They were busy, but it took 20 minutes for them to take our order. Probably wouldn't come here again.

the food are tasty, staff are very friendly and sweet, they heard today is my friend’s birthday and the boss cooks a birthday noodle for her, feeling very warm.

If you’re looking for an authentic and flavorful Chinese breakfast experience, Jie Jie Sheng is a must-visit. This unassuming gem delivers a delightful culinary journey that leaves you craving more with every bite. Their hot and sour soup is perfection rich, tangy, and spicy with just the right balance of flavors that warm your soul. It’s a standout dish that sets the tone for the meal. Pair it with their fried dough, which is crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, perfect for dipping into the soup for an extra indulgent bite. The beef pancakes are a true revelation. Tender, flavorful beef is wrapped in a perfectly crisp and flaky shell, creating a handheld delight that bursts with flavor. For vegetarians, the radish pancakes are just as impressive. The filling is light and refreshing, with a satisfying crunch that complements the flaky exterior beautifully. Each dish feels lovingly crafted, and the authenticity shines through. Jie Jie Sheng captures the essence of a traditional Chinese breakfast while delivering flavors that resonate with both locals and newcomers. Highly recommended!

I really enjoy coming here to get fresh, pan fried dumplings. This little hole in the wall has an A rating. If you are making a big order, I definitely recommend that you call your order in! We usually order a tray of dumplings for lunch and it does not disappoint. They also have other goodies, such as: soy bean milk, pan fried pork buns, scallion sesame pancake, and more. I don’t know about the other experiences the negative reviews had here, but the staff is pleasant and always greets me with a smile. If you are looking for quick and delicious dumplings, I highly recommend this spot!! *Note: Cash Only

We found this place last Sunday evening after a day in the city. My girl wanted me to experience more authentic style food than I’m used to in Florida and I’m so glad that we found this restaurant, I always stay in Flushing and she lives very close to this restaurant and it was the perfect place for a second date! The food was absolutely amazing, fresh, well seasoned and enough to share from each dish! The service was great and the place is quite cozy, it was the first time here for both of us and on my next visit to Flushing we will definitely be returning!! I highly recommend Guo Bao Rou!!

The Guo Bao Rou was just as good as when I had it in Jilin! And the shredded dry tofu with spicy oil was excellent!! Definitely recommend for Northeastern style Chinese dishes

As soon as I walked into this restaurant, the extensive menu caught my eye. After tasting, every dish was stunning, with an exceptional flavor. The waitstaff are warm and attentive, responding extremely quickly. The bathroom is spotlessly clean. Every detail of dining here is impeccable. It’s truly amazing

Without a doubt, this is the most genuine restaurant I've dined at during my stay in America. The owner and employees are super approachable and friendly. The dishes are delicious and reasonably priced. A big thumbs - up! I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Hidden down a set of stairs, He Nan Hui Mian is a no-frills local restaurant in Flushing that specializes in traditional Henan-style noodle dishes, with flavors from Northern China, such as fresh hand-pulled noodles, dumplings, and meat-filled burgers. You can see the long noodles being pulled right in front of you by the sweet family and they have a nice bounce & chew to them once cooked. The dumplings are juicy and delicious, with your choice of filling (pork, lamb, or vegetarian). We got the lamb dumplings and they were great topped with some chili oil. Love the cumin lamb burger here as well - it’s filled to the brim lamb in a sesame-filled bun. So flavorful and glistening with fatness. The perfect meal on a cold winter day! He Nan Hui Mian/Henan Feng Wei (136-31 41st Ave, Flushing, NY 11355) Open daily 6:30am-9pm What we ordered: $11 beef brisket hand-pulled noodles (we liked this bowl more) $11 lamb hand-pulled noodles $10 lamb dumplings (15) $7 cumin lamb burger Cash only Can ask for an English menu

After watching a TikTok video, we had to stop by and try their noodles, soup, and dumplings. We spent about 30 bucks and had some leftover food to take home. Had their beef and lamb pulled noodles. Nice brothy flavor for their soup, and the dumplings were fantastic as well. Cash only.
