My Mei Feng Singapore noodles I got delivered. I never review places, but this is a joke. This was boiled spaghetti with zero flavor and zero meat/veggies. Maybe their other food is good but don't order this.

I feel like quality Chinese food is just a memory in NYC. The food arrived warm and tasteless with no flavor at all. I ordered fried chicken wings, beef lo mein , shrimp fried rice, and scallion pancakes. The only thing that might taste good if I reheat it are the scallion pancakes that arrived oily and soggy. Very disappointing I should have ordered something else. I’m honestly surprised they have higher ratings.

Disappointed in this place. Ordered a pork fried rice with chicken wings also a side of French fries. Let me begin by saying the wings tasted bland and not fresh the fried rice had barely any pork in it, and the fries looked like they’ve been expired. This place has become a mess I wouldn’t recommend ordering food from here. Many other options around the neighborhood look elsewhere.

This place use to be good in 2019/2020 but over the past 12 months I've eaten from them twice and both times I got food poisoning and had to call out of work, plus the food was so bland. I'm Never ordering from them again, how hard is it to check the temp and cook the food properly. It's a shame because they use to be really good.

I like Dim Sum Place and I would definitely go again. Reason for the 4 stars was at 2pm and still a line when we were leaving at 3pm they ran out of some food like the egg tart and sweet milk buns. But the food that did come was good. Also the food came at a very slow speed maybe it was made to order. We only waited maybe 15 minutes without a reservation and didn’t have to share tables. The price was okay, not overly expensive.

We checked google and it had 4.3 stars so We went for lunch. The place was packed and big so we thought great we will wait. The lady at the front said it would be 15 minutes but it was more like 30-40 minutes wait. They sat us down and we didn’t have anyone take our order for another 10 minutes at least. We circled what we wanted on the menu and waited. They bring things out as they are made. My friend orders spare ribs which no one liked. We ordered lists of dim sum and buns and a beef noodles dish and for dessert we got the milk bunny’s. Everything needed flavor added to it. It was all bland. They brought tea to the table right away but we had to ask for water. I won’t be going back. I’ve had much better dim sum and service at other restaurants.

A packed restaurant on a Tuesday!!! Wow, this dim sum experience, was absolutely delightful. Everyone was so attentive and made our lunch such a pleasure. The food was fresh and piping hot, and the variety was bountiful. Wait staff and the management were very polite, and hospitable. I really loved this spot.

Stayed at a hotel nearby in Chinatown and the Concierge recommended this place for Dim Sum and it was delicious. It was packed when we got there but the wait wasn't long at all. The items we picked were really good and I recommend the clams. It was so good we went there twice... and will definitely go back when we visit.

Will definitely be returning! Jack O was our server- very personable and guided us with some great selections! Went here for a date night and was not disappointed. Tried the pork soup dumplings, fried beef dumplings, pork ribs, Brussels sprouts, and wagyu fried rice. Dumplings were amazing and was thinking about them days after the visit. Pork truly did fall off the bone- these do have a dry rub on them vs a sauce. Brussels sprouts were fried perfectly- great flavor. The rice was probably our least favorite of the meal. Beef was great, but wanted more flavor in the rice. A chili oil would’ve been nice with that. Very full/lively- and tables are fairly close together in the small space so was quite loud at times.

I had dinner at Pinch Chinese and ordered the beef soup. Unfortunately, it was too fatty for my taste, which detracted from the overall experience. That said, the rest of the food was delicious and well-prepared, and the service and atmosphere were great. I'd recommend the restaurant but might skip the beef soup next time.

I dare say that the Beaver St. Yips is a legend in the Financial District. I think that nearly everyone who works in the area knows about this place. And why not? The food is really good, the portions are generous, and the price is right. What more do you want? I’ve had most things on the menu through the years, and have almost always loved my dishes. The hours are quite short and restrictive, and they could make a lot more money if they stayed open longer. But if you can make it in before 5 PM, then you should check them out. You’ll see why this place is an institution for us native New Yorkers.

Found Yip off of Google Maps because I was craving Chinese food so I decided to give it a try. What you’re seeing is 2.3 pounds of food. Food is priced by the pound and it’s $9.99 a pound. As for the food, this is a pretty good Chinese buffet. As you may or may not know, Chinese buffets are hit or miss. This place is definitely above average for what you’d expect. Teriyaki Shrimp was very solid. BBQ and Sweet chicken was really good as well. The wings are what you’d expect at a typical Chinese restaurant. Plantains were ripe and delicious. Rice wasn’t packing a lot of flavor but it wasn’t bad. It helped offset a lot of the other food. The general tsos is the only thing I’d give a 0/10. Soggy, undercooked, and cold. Would I come back? Yes. Will I come back? I probably will. Hopefully next time around I don’t end up packing my plate with 2.3 pounds of food.

Overall what a terrible experience! Firstly such a stressful experience to even get the food waited for over an hour because delivery driver was not given clear instructions on where the address was. Secondly serious health and safety concern there was a long black hair in the dumplings dish! Pictured below how can you even send someone something like this without checking first ? Absolutely disgusting. Also rude guy on the phone as well. On top of all of this I was overcharged by a significant amount.

The General Tsos chicken was a 10/10, really flavorful. Ordered here a couple of times and have also been there twice. Very friendly people. Once they accidentally delivered noodles instead of fried rice, but overall a very good restaurant with diligent employees. Huge Gluten Free menu, which is great

the dumplings were great, the place is nice but the meats just felt like they had been frozen for a long time and the taste was really lacking as a whole. also, when i looked the restaurant up on here and saw the online menu, everything was way cheaper and that was not case when i got there.

Love this place! I was looking for good Chinese food on the Upper West Side and stumbled upon this restaurant on Seamless. I ordered sesame chicken, steamed dumplings, and pancakes. All were extremely delicious and were delivered promptly. I think the highlight of the three was definitely the dumplings which I would love to order again. Additionally, prompts to the restaurant for putting the two dipping sauces in their own individual bags so that when they exploded…it didn’t go all over the food.

It's a fast food shop. Its environment is like those obsolete restaurants in China town which most Hollywood features. The people are very nice though! And MOST IMPORTANTLY at this price, they serve quick and good Chinese food. It makes me ponder why there are some bad reviews about the place

It's good, respectful people they don't take too long. It's just small and it's hot in summer time. I have order there and their food it's good. They made mistakes with my order a couple of times and their food can be a bit pricy. They don't mind fixing your order they are very quick to fixing it. Recently now I had an egg drop soup with too many spots and this the second time happening. Don't eat their egg drop soup.

I got the spicy beef noodle soup and the dumplings in chili oil. I thought the soup was decent. I would have preferred it spicer and there wasn't a ton of beef in it. The broth wasn't super rich, but still had decent flavors. One of my favorite things about the soup were the pickled(?) bamboo shoots. It was actually probably my favorite thing in the soup! The dumplings were really good! The chili oil was another star of the meal and I ended up added some into my soup for more spice and flavor.

Szechuan Gourmet is a long-standing Sichuan restaurant, and its decor and atmosphere reflect its storied history. Initially, I was concerned it might lean towards Americanized “Sichuan” cuisine, but after tasting the food, I was pleasantly surprised by its authenticity. The presentation of each dish is thoughtful, showing the restaurant’s effort to stay visually appealing and up-to-date. The cold appetizer, Garden Diced Chicken in Spicy Sauce, features tender chicken immersed in rich red oil that enhances the flavor without being overly spicy. However, the chicken itself was a bit loose in texture and could have been firmer. The Beef with Silky Tofu is a bold, spicy hot dish, perfect for pairing with rice. Although the flavors are spot on, the beef itself was rather ordinary. The Trotter Soup, unfortunately, didn’t impress me. The broth lacked depth and authenticity, missing the herbal notes typically associated with traditional Sichuan soups, and the dipping sauce was just basic doubanjiang, adding little to the experience. The biggest highlight was the Roasted Chili Spiced Broth (Mao Xue Wang). This dish stood out due to its impressive variety of ingredients—fish, pork intestine, luncheon meat, beef tripe, and vegetables—all served in a beautifully designed vessel. The sheer diversity of ingredients makes it one of the most abundant versions of Mao Xue Wang I’ve had, and I highly recommend it. Overall, while Szechuan Gourmet has some areas for improvement—such as a more coordinated serving order and slightly higher-quality meats—the flavors are genuine. For a restaurant with such a long history, it’s commendable that they’ve maintained a level of authenticity in their Sichuan dishes. A satisfying experience overall.

My boyfriend and I ate here after the Lunar New Year Parade. They were packed yet accommodating. This was our first time and the food was delicious. I got the beef pan fried noodles and he got the roast pork over rice. We were both glad with the meal and happy we checked out this place.

Traditional Cantonese food, excellent flavors and good portions in this no frills, hole in the wall restaurant. They'll have your typical Chinese American dishes, but the Cantonese tastes from noodles, fish/seafood, and especially the roasted and BBQ meats are delicious. Bring cash, it's Chinatown!

Ambiance (5/5): The interior is beautifully decorated. It was nice and bright, low volume that you could hear each other. The decorations felt immersive and welcoming. Service (5/5): You can tell it’s great service when the wait staff all have walkie talkies! We were seated for our reservation time immediately but right beside the entrance. We asked the hostess if we could move away from the cold draft and she said all the tables were accounted for. However, she offered 1 hand warmer for each of us!! Wow, never had that offered before. Cocktails took more time to arrive than our mains and were super strong! Food: Be warned that the Sichuan food here is extremely spicy, even the mild option! While I was okay, my other guests found it way too spicy for their palate. Swing Pork Belly (3/5): The cold slices were unmarinated and required the dipping sauce for flavor. This was a nice picturesque dish but nothing to write home about. For those that can’t handle spice, this was the only dish that wasn’t spicy that we ordered. Beef slices in hot and sour soup (3/5): This was a unique flavor that I was not expecting. The soup was sour but also reminded me of traditional Chinese medicine or something that my parents made for me when I was sick. Although the beef was tender, I found it a bit too sour for my taste. Mapo Tofu (5/5): The tofu had a nice film of chili oil and the minced beef gave the dish some more flavor. It went lovely when mixed with white rice. Pepper Chicken (4/5): The cubed chicken pieces were all tender. The mild flavor of the hot peppers caused a numbing effect. I thought it tasted great!

Generallly very nice. I enjoyed the food here and the service is pretty nice. We are seated next to the bar table and the bartender guy is so nice and has great services. The food is good as always, spicy and numbing. A bit crowded and the wait time was about 30min. Def recommend!
