A simple counter-service spot offering rice noodles and rice dishes, though the quality felt a bit off during my visit. The beef noodles were very mild in flavor, while the string beans side dish was overly salty, leading to imbalanced flavors overall. It might have been an off day, but I left feeling underwhelmed.

Fast casual serving authentic chinese food. There is a kiosk or order through the person behind the counter. Then, they give you a number and they call out the food. The wait time was around 10 minutes since it is made to order. I was not expecting to get a lot of meat but for the price it was surprisingly adequate. However, the beef soup was not hot at all. Overall, it is pretty decent food for the amount of you get, but there is still room for improvement. Also, the bathroom could be cleaner.

This location is close to my place and I order takeout from time to time. I placed my order at the kiosk and waited less than 10 minutes for my food to be ready. I ordered the Spicy & Tingly Beef Muscle Hand-Ripped Noodles (extra spicy) and Spicy Asian Cucumber Salad. Both dishes were delicious, and surprisingly, the extra spicy for the noodles weren’t bad at all esp given I have a low tolerance for spice. Pets aren’t allowed but I was able to carry my pup in to order and grab my food.

What a find! Noodles and dumplings were great! If we weren't staying near Central Park we would definitely come here again tomorrow. Great dive place like others have mentioned.

Food here Is very delicious and very affordable. I’ve been going to this particular Chinese Food restaurant for 20 years. I know the people who work there very well and they’ve always treated me but the most respect. Not to mention their food is head and shoulders above other similar restaurants in terms of quality and taste. When I have a cold, I order the chicken soup with rice from this restaurant when I need a late night snack I order the boneless spareribs from this restaurant. When I want to have something healthy I order the Budda delight. This place has something for everyone and every different kind of event.

Been here once like in 2013 and I always remembered how good their chicken wings & French fries were . The best rice rolls I’ve ever had! We initially wanted to go to another popular rice roll spot, but they were closed. This place is a little far away from the hub of Chinatown, but so worth the walk. We’re glad we found it! The dough was light and chewy, and the meat was flavorful. The two people working were also super sweet. There’s a little bar area for you to sit and eat, which we enjoyed. Another great rice roll place for you to stop by when you’re in the area!

If you love fresh, perfectly made rice rolls /cheung fun WEST RICE ROLL KING is a must-visit for a snack attack! 😋 The texture was silky and delicate, and the fillings were flavorful and well-balanced. The service was quick and friendly, and everything tasted incredibly fresh. There’s a small counter like 4 seat long to slurp your rolls down or you can order for take out. Whether you’re a fan of classic rice rolls or want to try something new, this spot delivers. Definitely a gem in NYC!

my friend recommended me this place and it ended up being very good. i had never tried a dim sum place before and i really liked that there was a menu you could check off but also a main menu. the food was absolutely delicious, my sister and i both got the orange chicken and it was nice and crispy with enough sauce, as well as a side of white rice which was fresh. we also got chicken dumplings and the taro dumplings from the dim sum menu. i will definitely be back

I’ve dined here once and have done takeouts plenty of time. This time, I picked up some chicken congee and shrimp dumplings which both were tasty. Also the price for the congee is great cause I thought it would be a pint but ended up being a quart. There’s two entrances and one is for takeout and the other is to dine in. Plenty of dim sum options and their beef chow fun is delicious. Love getting their Portuguese egg tarts as well. It’s great not having to trek all the way to Chinatown to get dim sum.

# Overall: I'll be back at Xi'an to try more items from their menu. If you're not sure about spicy food, I recommend checking out their burgers. # Ambiance This Xi'an's famous foods is one of the smaller franchises that I've visited. There's not too much seating, but it is pretty convenient to order takeout from. There's a self serve kiosk and an area for you to grab your utensils of choice. # Food and Drink Spicy & Tingly Beef Muscle Hand-Ripped Noodles The noodles are the main attraction in the dish. I've had the cumin lamb version before and I prefer that over the beef muscle. The cut of beef here just ends up a little more tough than I'd like to chew. You just can't go wrong with a spicy sauce on some noodles though. Stewed Pork Burger The burger is a great order in its own right. The bun is very dense, but it pairs very nicely with the meat, giving almost and extra level of sweetness to the bite, contrasting with the richness and the saltiness of the pork meat. This burger isn't spicy, but is still a great order whether or not you can handle spice.

Their signature lamb flat noodles are worth the hype. This type of cuisine is unrivaled compared to other parts of the US. Next time, I’ll have to save my appetite to eat more items or take it to-go. There’s only 6 seats at this location. I came right before it got busy with a friend and 2 seats opened up. We ate quickly to be courteous for the line that was beginning to form. Wipe and clean the countertop yourself

I came to the LES location of 3 Times because I had a gift card from an Instagram contest. The space is clean and spacious, and there was no wait time to walk-in. In regards to food, we ordered the following for lunch: Soup dumplings: chewy thick skin Dan dan noodles with minced pork: generally bland, only flavor was chili oil, barely any pork Crunchy pickled persian cucumbers with garlic sauce: only decent dish of our meal Snow pea sprouts and shrimp dumplings (chiu chow dumplings): steamed too long so the skin was soggy, fishy tasting filling We also had a bizarre experience with service. We had ordered pork soup dumplings and the server brought us crab soup dumplings by mistake. When we noted the error, we opted to keep the order to avoid any hassle, to which he responded “these are better any way,” and made no attempt to just charge us for the original pork dumplings ($2 cheaper). They also didn’t know what to do with the gift card, and had me place a duplicate to-go order on their website to pay, which just felt very unprofessional. I would recommend just walking a few more blocks over to Chinatown and getting dim sum/lunch elsewhere.

The decor of 3 Times is simple and the ambiance is cozy. The staff was friendly but too aggressive for us. We ordered 7 dishes for a group of four and we thought it's more than enough. However, she kept recommending us to order more and more. We felt pressured and ended up packing leftover home. Their food was overall delicious and authentic especially the Beef Brisket Stew w/ Potato ($26) and Sautéed Shrimp w/ Salted Egg Yolk ($27). The brisket was well braised, so flavorful and tender. The salted egg yolk sauce was creamy, rich and perfect with fried shrimp. However, we might be hesitant to visit again due to their service or we will consider doing a take out order if we are craving for their food.

I always go to the one on 60th Street and we love it there. Decided to try this location and honestly—it was straight garbage. Everything tasted off, and the presentation was sloppy. I couldn’t believe this was the same Philippe Chow I know. We ordered the molten chocolate cake, and they clearly reheated it in the microwave. It came out solid not how it’s supposed to be. I know because I’ve done it myself before. The only reason this place is getting any stars from me is our waiter, Daniel. He was super attentive and really friendly. Thank you, Daniel, for making the experience a little better. I appreciate you. I won’t be coming back to this location.

My best friend & I visited Philippe Chow Downtown on a rainy, winter Wednesday night. We were greeted with warm smiles & kindly seated. As our dinner progressed, our server made sure we had an enjoyable experience by answering any questions we had concerning the menu items & making sure that we were comfortable & taken care of. I enjoyed everything that we ordered as shown in the pictures & videos below. Ambiance is a must and Philippe Chow Downtown did not disappoint! I will also add that that rest rooms were very clean & the “to-go” bags were very stylish & can be reused. I really enjoyed the time spent at this restaurant & I would definitely return & recommend visiting to others!

Dropped in for a late-ish dinner on a Tuesday night. It was pretty quiet and we got served nice and fast. Good food. Our favorites were the Dan Dan Noodles, Cold Sesame Noodles, String Beans, and the Twice Cooked Pork Belly. I thought the pea shoots needed more seasoning and the Sichuan dumplings were a bit flat and could use more filling. My co diner was very happy to have good new place in her neighborhood.

Had such a great experience here! You have to ask for Mike to be your server when you go! He is so welcoming and a great worker! The food is spicy and delicious. As a spicy lover, I was very pleased with all the dishes. Of course you can ask to modify the spice level if you want more or if you want less or are dining with people who cannot handle spice, there are other dishes that are more mild on the menu. The pricing is great, the food is great and the service was impeccable! Thank you so much! I will definitely be back!

I love Malatang so had to try this place while in the neighborhood. It starts at $15.99 per pound (it adds up real quick so be careful). I chose the ingredients first then my soup base. I got the classic with medium spice (though I wish it was a bit more spicier). I didn’t even realize they had a sauce station right next to the register until I was done. My bowl ended up being $25 which I was really full from. The grade here is still pending and looks like they bring up the ingredients from the basement to refill the station.

Malatang was amazing! They offer a variety of flavorful broths, including: • Beef Bone Broth – Available in mild, medium, and extra spicy. • Tomato Broth – A delicious vegan option. • Spicy Mix – Rich and bold, but contains nuts. • Fish Maw & Chicken Broth – A new addition that’s light and refreshing. Highly recommend!

Have visited this particular location twice now and have also gone to their UWS location. I particularly enjoyed the wontons in chili oil. The best dish on their menu. The Dan Dan noodles were also great but needed spice so we added chili oil to them. The crab rangoons were unfortunately too sweet for me. I’ll definitely go back and try other options next time!

Although the portion is amazing, these dan dan noodles were incredibly dry! I requested them extra spicy, but was slightly disappointed by how mild they were. I loved the atmosphere and the staff, but I will probably try something else next time.

Very good northern Chinese food. Came here as a group of three for Saturday lunch. Not crowded and the service was attentive. We ordered several dishes as the portion isn’t large: Those we like: mutton on the bone and monstrous plate chicken. The mutton was fresh and tasty. Be mindful of the reasoning on the side as it is super salty - a little bit would do. The chicken was great! Greasy, yummy and a little bit spicy. The noodles on the bottom soaked the flavor well! Those are just so-so: Mung Bean noodles and lamb rice pilaf. The rice was very little portion and would fill probably just one person, though the taste was good. The bean noodles was average, nothing special. Price is a little high, but consider their location it is still a fair one. Would recommend this place!

This was recommended by my Chinese friend and the food is authentic and very flavourful. The noodles are especially good and you can even choose the thickness. If you like spicy food, this is a good place to check out! It was interesting that we had to cut the noodles with scissors which I’ve never experienced in other Chinese restaurants. The fried chicken wings are not very good and rather plain. I suggest focusing on their specialities.
