I love Malatang so had to try this place while in the neighborhood. It starts at $15.99 per pound (it adds up real quick so be careful). I chose the ingredients first then my soup base. I got the classic with medium spice (though I wish it was a bit more spicier). I didn’t even realize they had a sauce station right next to the register until I was done. My bowl ended up being $25 which I was really full from. The grade here is still pending and looks like they bring up the ingredients from the basement to refill the station.

Malatang was amazing! They offer a variety of flavorful broths, including: • Beef Bone Broth – Available in mild, medium, and extra spicy. • Tomato Broth – A delicious vegan option. • Spicy Mix – Rich and bold, but contains nuts. • Fish Maw & Chicken Broth – A new addition that’s light and refreshing. Highly recommend!

Dropped in for a late-ish dinner on a Tuesday night. It was pretty quiet and we got served nice and fast. Good food. Our favorites were the Dan Dan Noodles, Cold Sesame Noodles, String Beans, and the Twice Cooked Pork Belly. I thought the pea shoots needed more seasoning and the Sichuan dumplings were a bit flat and could use more filling. My co diner was very happy to have good new place in her neighborhood.

Had such a great experience here! You have to ask for Mike to be your server when you go! He is so welcoming and a great worker! The food is spicy and delicious. As a spicy lover, I was very pleased with all the dishes. Of course you can ask to modify the spice level if you want more or if you want less or are dining with people who cannot handle spice, there are other dishes that are more mild on the menu. The pricing is great, the food is great and the service was impeccable! Thank you so much! I will definitely be back!

I always go to the one on 60th Street and we love it there. Decided to try this location and honestly—it was straight garbage. Everything tasted off, and the presentation was sloppy. I couldn’t believe this was the same Philippe Chow I know. We ordered the molten chocolate cake, and they clearly reheated it in the microwave. It came out solid not how it’s supposed to be. I know because I’ve done it myself before. The only reason this place is getting any stars from me is our waiter, Daniel. He was super attentive and really friendly. Thank you, Daniel, for making the experience a little better. I appreciate you. I won’t be coming back to this location.

My best friend & I visited Philippe Chow Downtown on a rainy, winter Wednesday night. We were greeted with warm smiles & kindly seated. As our dinner progressed, our server made sure we had an enjoyable experience by answering any questions we had concerning the menu items & making sure that we were comfortable & taken care of. I enjoyed everything that we ordered as shown in the pictures & videos below. Ambiance is a must and Philippe Chow Downtown did not disappoint! I will also add that that rest rooms were very clean & the “to-go” bags were very stylish & can be reused. I really enjoyed the time spent at this restaurant & I would definitely return & recommend visiting to others!

I came to the LES location of 3 Times because I had a gift card from an Instagram contest. The space is clean and spacious, and there was no wait time to walk-in. In regards to food, we ordered the following for lunch: Soup dumplings: chewy thick skin Dan dan noodles with minced pork: generally bland, only flavor was chili oil, barely any pork Crunchy pickled persian cucumbers with garlic sauce: only decent dish of our meal Snow pea sprouts and shrimp dumplings (chiu chow dumplings): steamed too long so the skin was soggy, fishy tasting filling We also had a bizarre experience with service. We had ordered pork soup dumplings and the server brought us crab soup dumplings by mistake. When we noted the error, we opted to keep the order to avoid any hassle, to which he responded “these are better any way,” and made no attempt to just charge us for the original pork dumplings ($2 cheaper). They also didn’t know what to do with the gift card, and had me place a duplicate to-go order on their website to pay, which just felt very unprofessional. I would recommend just walking a few more blocks over to Chinatown and getting dim sum/lunch elsewhere.

The decor of 3 Times is simple and the ambiance is cozy. The staff was friendly but too aggressive for us. We ordered 7 dishes for a group of four and we thought it's more than enough. However, she kept recommending us to order more and more. We felt pressured and ended up packing leftover home. Their food was overall delicious and authentic especially the Beef Brisket Stew w/ Potato ($26) and Sautéed Shrimp w/ Salted Egg Yolk ($27). The brisket was well braised, so flavorful and tender. The salted egg yolk sauce was creamy, rich and perfect with fried shrimp. However, we might be hesitant to visit again due to their service or we will consider doing a take out order if we are craving for their food.

Absolutely delicious signature roll! Will come back to try the other types. Low key and very few seats inside. The food is the main attraction of course.

Not much table service. This location is mostly a pick up/ take out place. Food is good, but very limited in the ordering process. You order by phone, app, or the kiosk. Good food but takes it's time (maybe a good thing). Good location, but limited in seating.

My Mei Feng Singapore noodles I got delivered. I never review places, but this is a joke. This was boiled spaghetti with zero flavor and zero meat/veggies. Maybe their other food is good but don't order this.

I feel like quality Chinese food is just a memory in NYC. The food arrived warm and tasteless with no flavor at all. I ordered fried chicken wings, beef lo mein , shrimp fried rice, and scallion pancakes. The only thing that might taste good if I reheat it are the scallion pancakes that arrived oily and soggy. Very disappointing I should have ordered something else. I’m honestly surprised they have higher ratings.

The lunch here offers great value for money. The food is tasty, the service is excellent. Lunch also comes with soup, which is very flavorful. Highly recommended!

I have nothing good to say. I ordered some food hoping to have a quick meal before resting my head, only to open my bag and find a roach, still squirming around the bottom of my delivery bag. I didn’t try the food, but if roaches are crawling into the plastic togo bags, I don’t want to know what’s crawling into the food. Absolutely disappointed and disgusted.

I just had an unforgettable dining experience at Aves New York and wanted to share it with you. This place is truly amazing! For starters, we had the Clam Steam Pot and Soup Dumplings, which were both packed with flavor. The drinks were not only delicious but also visually stunning. The star of the show was definitely the Peking Duck , it was absolutely mouthwatering and cooked to perfection. For our main course, we enjoyed the Steamed Fish and Shaking Beef, which were also incredibly tasty. And of course, we couldn't resist ending the meal with one of their delicious desserts. The food was a solid 10 out of 10, the service was warm and attentive, and the restaurant itself is simply beautiful. If you're looking for an exceptional Chinese dining experience in NYC, you have to check out Aves New York. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Great food, definitely one of the best (if not the best) Chinese food option on the Upper West Side and a welcome addition to the neighborhood. The portions are on the smaller side, but pricing is reasonable considering the quality of the food. We got the three pepper chicken, the steamed fish, the crispy mushroom rice, and Chinese broccoli, which were all delicious. I know some people complained about slow service (perhaps during their soft opening?) but we didn’t have any issues whatsoever, the staff was fantastic and very attentive. Will definitely be back.

Great Dim Sum and really good Lychee Martinis. Was walking by and had a craving for dim sum. This atmosphere is lovely and the staff were so friendly. Steamed dumplings were excellent. They were light and so tasty. Truly authentic upscale Chinese food. Happy Hour 3-6 with great pricing.

Would come here every time I will have dimsum cravings, specifically hakao (steamed crystal shrimp)! It was so plump. I should have ordered another round. I will just come back. Other food we ordered were the wonton soup, the salted egg yolk custard buns, the chicken and broccoli, and the red bean paste shortcake (dessert). The soup was a good start. The buns were really good too. Not too salty, and it had just the right balance of “sweet and salty!” The chicken and broccoli came with one cup of rice, which was enough for me and my husband. The sauce was not as sweet as I expected, which was good! It wasn’t overwhelming. We ended with dessert, the red bean paste shortcake. It was served warm/hot, a yummy end to the meal!

If you’re looking for an exceptional dining experience in New York City, Tao Uptown delivers on all fronts. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed, especially with the fresh, delectable sushi. Here’s a breakdown of my experience: Walking into Tao Uptown feels like stepping into a chic and vibrant oasis. The stunning interior, dimly lit with a warm glow, is complemented by its grand Buddha statue centerpiece. It’s the perfect blend of luxury and zen, creating an atmosphere

Here’s your reminder: Tao Uptown has a fantastic Happy Hour deals from 5-7 PM, Monday through Friday! Enjoy gob-smacking delicious $1 dumplings, $15 martini flights, $5 canned sake, wine, and beer, plus $5 small plates. Things to keep in mind—Happy Hour seating is only available in the common area, and it fills up fast, so get there early! The ventilation isn’t the best, so you might want to move around. Pro tip: there’s an upstairs bar that offers the same deals, and it’s often much less crowded. When I visited, it was practically empty. The dumplings were incredible, but the martinis were a bit on the smaller side. Next time, I’ll be ordering wine instead. Overall, it’s a great Happy Hour spot, especially for Uptown Manhattan!

Ambience was fantastic. It was giving Japanese oligarch vibes. Very chic. The food was good, flavorful, the rock shrimp appetizer was the best thing I tried. Overall, it was a good experience but the price for what it was, was outrageous but if you want to pay for fancy Chinese food & feel special then it’s not a bad choice. My brother said the beef n broccoli was like Chinese takeout 🤣 Good for a date night All of this seen here came out to $310 with gratuity added in, definitely not worth the price. Kind of outrageous, but a nice experience.

Really great food - everything was amazing. BUT I do have to highlight the apple tart from their dessert menu. The vanilla ice cream has cinnamon flavor to it and the tart is so delicious - literally falls apart, so tender, soft and flavorful. MUST TRY if you come here! One of the best desserts we ever tried.
