Pagoda Chinese & Thai Food
I was searching for Chinese fast food and found this place. Conveniently located not far from the airport and the owner was friendly and attentive. I ordered the pork short rib (soy glazed), fried chicken wings (sweet and sour), and curry chicken (very flavorful). Since I got there 30 mins before closure, one third of the entrees were sold out but I’m still pleased with the what I got. I would recommend both curry chicken and chicken wings, the pork ribs are a little bit saltier to my preference. Would consider coming back and try their rice or noodle next time!
I love this place great food great price. Owner and his wife are very nice. You can taste they pour their heart and soul into their craft. Give them a try!
Kingdom Dim Sum
I go to King Dim Sum for lunch all the time and always leave seriously impressed. When I’m craving some good food, this place never disappoints. The crispy lemon chicken is on point—crispy, flavorful, and covered in a tangy, slightly sweet sauce that hits just right. The chicken stays crunchy even with the sauce, which is always a win. The fried rice is just as good. It has that perfect wok-fried flavor, not too oily but packed with just the right amount of seasoning and mix-ins. Every bite has a little bit of everything—fluffy rice, tender meat, and fresh veggies all coming together perfectly. The place itself has that classic dim sum joint vibe—casual, bustling, and full of people who know where to find good food. Service is fast and friendly, and my food comes out fresh and hot without a long wait. I’m always happy when I eat here. If you’re in the area and craving some great crispy lemon chicken and fried rice, King Dim Sum is the spot.
Kingdom Dim Sum did a great job for chicken feet. I can tell this is one of the best chicken feet I’ve had in LA. Their chicken feet can beat some dim sum restaurants in SGV tbh. Other dishes were good too but I definitely recommend chicken feet here if you’re craving for some good chicken feet. Prices are slightly higher than other places but portions are generous so I think it’s worth the price. I’m glad that I don’t have to drive an hour to SGV for dim sum anymore. Thanks again for your good food and service.
101 Asian Kitchen
The California roll was so good and fresh and the Thai tea is perfect love it!
I am not crazy about the meat here. I’ve tried all varieties of their meat products here, and some meat is very hard to chew and bite through. Some meat doesn’t seem all the way fully cooked. (Feel that out for yourself). I personally do not like that they don’t cook their meat all the way through. The meat can taste too “gummy” to chew, or toOo “hard” to bite through. I do like some of their side orders… like the dumplings, the fried rice, the macaroni. Their sushi doesn’t always taste good to me. I also do not like their service sometimes. I used to come there more regularly mainly for their fried rice, and one of the Asian guys who work there, and the woman (his girlfriend) or something… they started talking in “Chinese” or whatever… and would make certain facial expressions and gestures towards me, that made me feel like they were annoyed by seeing me be a regular customer, financially supporting their business. Some people really do NOT belong in business. If I have frequent regularly customers who show up to my business and support me?? I’m gonna have the biggest smile on my face… cuz they are PUTTING MONEY IN MY POCKET AND HELPING MY BUSINESS TO CONTINUE TO OPERATE. These people wanna give you “bad attitude” sometimes, if you chose to be a “regular.” They do NOT always appreciate repeat customers. So I stopped going regularly. Plus the issue I have with them not cooking their meat all the way through properly. The only reason they continue to seem to get “business” is cuz they are opened really late at night… when other food spots have closed. They do tend to give BIG servings of food (which is good). Much bigger servings than say…Panda Express. Which is good. However, beware of the meat. They just always seem to under cook, or overcook their meat. So beware of that. You also can’t relax and dine in there, because they offer no real generous seating… they have “supplies” stacked up everywhere against the walls where there is supposed to be seating with a dine-in option… but they don’t offer it. The space is too tight. I also think they are waaay toOoo overpriced. It’s ridiculous.
TAO
The ambiance creates a memorable dining experience, blending modern aesthetics with Eastern influences. Soft lighting and carefully chosen décor elements contribute to a sophisticated atmosphere. Culinary creations are expertly crafted, showcasing a fusion of flavors and textures. Fresh, high-quality ingredients are used to prepare each dish. The attentive staff provides exceptional service, anticipating guests' needs with grace. A curated wine list complements the menu, offering a diverse selection. The overall experience is one of refined elegance and culinary excellence. This establishment sets a high standard for dining in the city.
The food was enjoyable, though too salty for our taste. The service was generally good, but the staff could improve attentiveness by ensuring tables are fully stocked with essentials. A bit more focus on these details would enhance the overall dining experience
Yang Chow Restaurant
Yang Chow lives up to the hype! I visited Yang Chow for a Saturday lunch and got seated fairly quickly, although a waiting list formed as soon as we got seated. We ordered the sizzling rice soup, which had a really unique, crunchy texture and was perfect with some chili oil; and the famed slippery shrimp. The slippery shrimp was just incredible and honestly indescribable. It’s like the most perfect American Chinese food, and the portion was big enough for two people. Would definitely return, ideally when the lines aren’t too long!
Great chinese place - very authentic and flavorful. I have had nothing like this in Europe. The potions were big with value for money!
Foo-Chow Restaurant
Walnut Shrimp must to try!!! I wasn’t feeling atmosphere to be honest(probably it just me) kinda depressing. Food and service were good. Mongolian beef was kinda mid but I’d comeback to try something else I bet it’ll be good. Our order were ready in like 15 mins, portions are solid(one main dish and bowls of rice could easily feed 2)
It was kinda cool to eat at the famous Rush Hour restaurant, however it needs to be updated. It’s a little old and outdated. The food was good and it’s served family style meaning large portions. We got the dinner special with included a wonton soup, shrimp, vegetable egg roll and the main entree and rice. My husband and I shared the beef and broccoli and the shrimp and veggies. There was so much left over that I even had enough for lunch and dinner the next day!
Woon
To start off, you go to the counter to order and pay before you are seated if there is no tables or come in during rush hour just FYI. The food was amazing to start off with the beef noodles, the steak was tender, and the noodles were flavorful. The wings were some of the freshest and crispiest wings I’ve ever had, add some tableside chili oil to the wings… the fried rice was really solid…. The pork belly boa was by for the best item of the menu we had. The pickled carrots and pickles with the savory and tender pork belly went delicious with the soft bread. I totally recommend this for all four plates, I spent $61 before tip.
Our friend group supper club chose this spot on a Sunday night and weren’t disappointed. It’s a casual vibe with a nice outdoor patio. You order at the counter but don’t let the line of people deter you from stopping by, because the food comes out incredibly fast. I have to say, everything we tried was complex and savory. They also have organic wines to pair with your meal. Between the five of us, we were able to order multiple entrees and appetizers to share. The prices are very reasonable and it was great to try multiple dishes. I definitely recommend this spot for a date night or if you want to bring your dog because the patio had lots of furry friends. Parking can be tricky since it’s tucked into a neighborhood but worth circling to find a spot!
Bamboo Inn
This place is just amazing i would go here as a kid and 20 years later I returned everything was still amazing it doesn’t get any better the food and atmosphere is authentic and the prices you just can’t beat you get your moneys worth and you’ll walk out without regrets don’t let the chain link fence places by the city discourage you it’s easy access just walk in the place is cash only so bring cash if not there’s a atm down the block at a check cash place
The food is authentic Cantonese Chinese food. It’s freshly made to order. The flavor is scrumptious. My Mom and Dad went there before I was even conceived. Now Iv taken my family. The decor has never changed nor been upgrade or kept up. Visually it’s unpleasing and very tight space. It’s a hole in the wall. If you only care about the food then definitely come here.
Golden Tree Restaurant
The atmosphere is eh, but the food is fast served hot and ahhhmazing! We ordered 7 Flavor lamb chops that were smothered in green scallion and crispy garlic. We also ordered combo fried rice and Kung pow chicken. Everything was delicious.
The Combination Rice is amazing—loaded with shrimp, chicken, and more. It's one of my favorite dishes at my go-to family restaurant in Los Angeles. The portions are generous, and at $17, it's a great value. The staff is always friendly, making every visit a positive experience. Highly recommend!"
Northern Cafe
I absolutely LOVE asian cuisine. I LOVE Chinese food. It has always been my favorite food. I have to say this food here in Northern Cafe is literally the absolute BEST CHINESE FOOD I HAVE EVER EATEN IN MY 31 YEARS OF LIVING ON EARTH! Everything was delicious! The Ramen was very good. Each of the meat was seasoned differently, and many different flavors. The spice was actually spicy. This is the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. It is a must try if you’re in the area! And fir the price it was well worth it. It was nit overly expensive here- the price is just like any other Chinese / LA prices. But this food here is actually worth the price!!
Went there on a whim because our nephew recommended it and it was delicious speedy and succinct. This is a friendly place and not for first dates. Food is really good and they have no nonsense approach to service. We loved it
Wallflower
This is place is awesome. I went with friends after another event and it was an unexpected great restaurant experience. when i already though my evening came to an end. ALL of the dishes are so yummy and I it is a delighting tasting experience. I would recommend family style dining to try as many dishes as possible. The cocktails are all very unique and as with the food they are a pleasurable tasting experience. Indescribable! I will definitely be back...
Wallflower takes overpriced to a whole new level for Venice. We’re used to the high prices here but for the most part you’re getting really great food and/or a large portion. The portions here are actually insultingly small for the prices. The food is good, completely forgettable. We have had many comparable dishes in the area for 1/2 or even 1/3 the price. $20 cocktails aren’t uncommon here either of course, but these were just fine. If you want an amazing $20 cocktail - which, for $20 it better be amazing - go to Si Mon a few minutes away. Sure, the ambience is nice. It’s not enough to make the high spend worth it. There are so many better restaurants in Venice, skip Wallflower.
Bangkok West Thai
This is beautiful inside. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly service. We got pad Thai to-go and it was sooo good! I got chicken, my husband got shrimp. Both were wonderful and enormous portions. Kind of expensive, but worth it.
One of my favorite foods is From Thailand, this was an experience unlike any other I do recommend some other Thai restaurants but this has taken over . The soup was so flavorful the service as if I walked in a four seasons, hotel restaurant the food look like artwork and was plentiful. You could see the love from the kitchen in the food. I highly recommend this place for an unbelievable experience in Thai food. Lychee iced tea was one of our But the food was superb. I can’t say enough about it ❤️
