A must-have eight-treasure rice for the New Year - rose bean paste filling
Every year during the Spring Festival, I steamed a bowl of eight-treasure rice by myself, and a few days ago I saw this eight-treasure rice with roses on Xiaohongshu and thought it was very beautiful, and I also learned to steam two bowls. The finished product has a good effect, beautiful color and shape, amazing taste, soft and glutinous, sweet and not greasy. Edited the recipe to share.

Glutinous rice: Mix two kinds of rice, add an appropriate amount of water and soak for more than 2 hours.

Put it in the rice cooker, the water is 1 cm above the rice, select the steaming rice mode, and steam the rice.
3. Add 20 grams of lard (or butter) and 20 grams of sugar (increase or decrease according to your preference) while hot, stir well and let cool. -
When steaming rice, use jujube to make roses, as shown in the video. I made two, the big one was 6 dates and the small one was 4 dates.

The finished red dates and roses are wrapped in a foil wrap and tightened like candy.

Spread the bottom of the bowl with high-temperature plastic wrap (so that it is easy to take out and not deform) and cut the roses into slices.

Look side down, then stack into the bottom of the bowl and add some raisins and ripe pumpkin seeds.

Take some glutinous rice and pat it into a flat cake and press it on it, then stack rose slices on the façade of the bowl, and then press a layer of glutinous rice to fix it. Make a nest in the middle and add about 150 grams of red bean paste filling. (You can put your favorite stuffing inside, such as bean paste filling, purple potato taro paste filling, etc.) This time, I didn't make the stuffing myself, and I bought the low-sugar red bean paste mooncake filling.

Finally, cover and flatten with glutinous rice and cover with plastic wrap.

Steaming: After the water is boiled, steam for 30 minutes, remove from the pot, turn it upside down, and it can be eaten. If you don't eat it right away, leave it cool. Refrigerate for a short time, preferably frozen for more than two days.
