Food is great , large portions and food comes out hot, Which is a huge thing being Asian. Have come here for multiple events , with family etc and has never disappointed. Large food selection and everyone is very friendly and accommodating
Ok, this is my favorite place in the city for Chinese food!! Every time we've been here (about a dozen in total), the service has been wonderful. Today's service was exceptionally expedient, and the food was fantastic, as it always is. We ate from 4 dishes, family style, so that everyone had a little bit of each dish. There are many selections on the menu, but I really enjoyed the different flavors of the menu items we selected today, in particular. So, if I may make a suggestion based on our most wonderful experience today, here's what we had. Whether you're new to this restaurant or have been here before, I think this combination of dishes provides an experience, rich in flavor, varied in textures, and tied well together to satisfy one's palette. Our selections: Flat Rice Noodle with Beef and Brown Sauce . Warm, savory, earthy. Soft textures, just melts in your mouth. This is the reason we come here. We order it every time. At this point, I feel it's safe for me to call this "comfort food." I'm sure it's the equivalent to a large warm towel fresh from the dryer after a shower. Seiously, if you were to throw this dish into the air, it would turn into sunshine. #iykyk Eggplant with Basil sauce. This was the surprise hit for me! I'm normally not a fan of eggplant dishes, but this may have been my favorite thing I had today. Rich, aromatics of the Basil in a darker brown sauce, that had just a hint of a kick to it. Thinly sliced onions were the perfect compliment to the sauce, along with the Eggplant. I found myself going back to it for the sauce alone. It was delicious mixed in with the steamed rice. I hate to keep going on about it, but I can't stress enough how much I just don't care for eggplant and never really have, but this dish was truly STELLAR! Tangerine Beef. (pictured) This one is SOOOO GOOD! Citrus, combined with aromatics from the ginger slices in a brown sauce tie in nicely with the Basil from the Eggplant dish, but is a little sweeter, (which in turn translates well to the 4th dish we ordered). The textures on the beef are fantastically contrasted between the soft, tender, generous slices of beef and the firm, crispiness of the breading around it. Not sure if it's doubled fried, or how they achieve it, but it reminds me of a chicken fried steak type vibe, but the sauce!!!! This was our "big hit surprise" from a few visits back. We only recently discovered it, but it never disappoints. Always a table favorite! And finally, the Walnut Shrimp. (pictured) This one has become a staple for us over many visits. This is the one dish with the furthest deviation of flavor profile from the other dishes, but hits on a different level vs. some other places where we've had the same dish. The shrimp are HUGE! Perfect, thin, crispy texture on the tempura coating. The sauce is light, creamy, and a little more on the sweeter side. Large chunks of glazed walnuts provide a soft sort of crunch. The sauce is nicely proportioned to the (did I mention they ARE HUGE?) shrimp, so as not to overpower it. All of it served atop very thinly shredded lettuce and cabbage, which combines nicely with the sauce and shrimp to give a light and sweet taste of slaw, without feeling like you're eating soggy coleslaw. Cabbage and carrots are still firm, sauce is sweet and creamy. It's simply done, no real big surprises, but the difference is, they do all of these things at an elite level. Everything is executed at the highest level with the freshest ingredients. It's just simply well done. I suggest these 4 dishes and even in the above order...just a small plate of each one, from the flat Noodle to the shrimp. Call it "around the table" and enjoy! I made more than a couple "round trips" myself!
Perla's Chinese Kitchen
I came back to this spot because I had a great experience in the past. To make a long story short, I ordered a 4 piece wings with veggie lo mein and received the exact opposite. Whatever you all do, make sure you're getting what you've ordered because they're false advertising. And to top it off, the guy with the ponytail told me, "it was nothing he could do, and there aren't any refunds." WOW is all I can say, never again will they get my business. However, I had to let you all know, make sure you're getting what you order. I'd highly advise them to revise their menu.
Absolutely amazing! First place to remind me of NY chinese food. I got Shrimp with Broccoli, it wasn’t on the menu but they made it. Definitely going back
R House 華洋
I ordered lunch specials here. Ordered 3 dishes. $6.50 each. The lady that answered the phone hung up on me before giving me the total and time frame. I had to call her back to confirm. 30 mins wait for pickup. When I arrived she looked confused and busy calculating the ticket price for another customer. I wait maybe ten more mins there before she pack my orders to pickup. Food overall was good. Portion was good, big box of rice. The outer part of salt pepper tofu was a little hard. Not crispy. So most likely won't order that. the other one bitter melon with eggs and eggplants are good. For the price I'll go back and try their other dishes.
I feel good for my meals here despite dinner or lunch. Every time I come here, I was treated with delicious food and welcoming service. Food always fresh and gorgeous, taste very full. They know how to cook, in the picture, they provide vegetable in the dish that make the taste improved better when serving the beef stew. Price are competitive with other, which means it is better than other places, comparing for the portion and taste. Always come back.
China Gourmet 福州风味小吃
I really want to say I liked this place because of the reviews but this was unfortunately not for my tastebud. The mix noodle tasted mushy and the other noodle dishes were bland and one of the dumplings had a sour taste. The service was pretty bad. We asked for water and the server gave a group of 11 just ONE cup of water. Seems to be many workers but just 1 server. We ended up getting our own water, it was in a cooler (similar to the big Gatorade jugs) This restaurant was a little hard to find since the door was hidden behind the pole. It looked clean but don’t let that fool you. The tables were really sticky, luckily I had wet wipes handy to wipe it down a little. While I was getting my food and spinning the lazy Suzy a spider came crawling out from underneath!
This place serves authentic food of Fuzhou, China. Most food are small tasty dishes. However you can also order few larger dishes off the menu. The cost is very reasonable.
Crown Seafood
I came to Crown Seafood to get some pictures with dumplings. I ordered a cup of tonic soup to eat in and a rice noodles to go. Soup and dumplings were good. But the noodles were all broken apart. Not sure if that's how it should be. The flavor was good though.
Another Dim Sum adventure in Houston, Tx @ 10796 Bellaire Blvd. Birthday girl picked the new spot try out. Will say it’s been hard to find a great local Dim Sum here in town, but think we found a great spot that we can be glad to return to and recommend. It’s if priced right for what you’d normally spend. On our visit it was about $27.00 per person. Tip is included on large parties. Service is non-stop. You’ll have so many different servers come and check on you. Just make sure to speak up if you need anything or want more. Even if there’s a language barrier, their number system via pictures is easy enough for you to fill out the paper on what you’d like to try. There’s so many great foods here, it’s hard to pick one. Check out all the pictures if you need any recommendations. We will be back! Until next time.
Chongqing Chicken Pot
The frog pot is the standout dish—tender, perfectly cooked frog meat with a rich, well-seasoned broth that’s both savory and slightly spicy. What’s even better is the hotpot experience that follows. After finishing the main dish, the remaining broth serves as the perfect base for cooking vegetables, meats, and noodles. It’s a fantastic way to extend the meal and savor every last drop of the delicious soup.
The flavors are incredible! We asked for no spice, and it is impressive how much flavor they added without the aid of spice. The crispy pork was not oily, and we left satisfied and warm, with a lot of leftovers. Servers were sweet. Prices were more than fair.
Golden Dim Sum
The place feels dated and dark. Food tastes good but is not fresh and the ingredients they use seem low quality. Shrimp ha gow has the shrimp minced and not whole shrimp. Some of the steamed dishes are still cold. The price is affordable though.
Yummy food, nice atmosphere with no frills dining. Service was fast but could be further improved by adopting Lean Six Sigma principles around double checking table numbers and distribution of loading food on carts, and mapping more efficient paths for carts to take around the restaurant — in order to reduce mean kitchen_to_table time.
Lucky Bento V.I.P. Cuisine
The food here can make me cry. We ordered four dishes. Every dish is impeccable. Why are northeastern people so good at cooking pork! The sour cabbage has such mild but strong flavor. The kidney and liver were cooked barely well done, very tender. Sweet potatoes can have the sugar pulling one-meter long. I cant wait to come back again.
We recently visited Xiao Shen Yang for our weekly team dinner, and it was a fantastic experience! Here's what we tried: Spicy Shredded Bean A simple yet delicious dish, with beans sliced evenly and cooked perfectly. Very appetizing! Crispy Yellow Croaker The fried fish was crispy and tasty, an excellent choice for seafood lovers. Pork and Sauerkraut Stew A unique dish with a flavorful sauerkraut broth, tender pork, and pork blood. Highly recommended for those who enjoy bold flavors. Cucumber and Noodles with Sesame Sauce A refreshing and delightful cold dish, combining crunchy cucumber with rich sesame sauce. Smoked Pork Pancake Layers of crispy pancake paired with savory smoked pork, a must-try! Sweetened Potato Best enjoyed hot, this dessert features crispy caramelized sweet potatoes with a soft interior. A perfect way to end the meal! The service was quick, and the staff was very friendly. Overall, a great place for a delicious and enjoyable meal!
Great Wall Chinese Restaurant
Great food. Just be careful at night.
Y’all don’t have a sign up on the wall so how can people find y’all are open or closed? I give y’all 4 stars for no location on the map.
Maad Lamb Cuisine 小羊馆
One of my favorite restaurants. Excellent service! Everything tastes great and authentic. The skewers are amazing! Hotpot is exceptional. This is always my go to place for group gatherings.
I love this place. The lamb tripe with sesame & Chinese mustard sauce is my favorite. We finished it and ordered another one to go . The lamb skewers were really tender and flavorful. The boiled lambs were tender and big portion. Will visit again.
Dough Zone Dumpling Houston Westchase
Not exactly the dumplings you get from China, but it's definitely the next best thing. Excellent food presentation with flavors that match what you see. Service is fast and the waiter/waitress attention is spot on. Well worth a first visit. I'm sure thereafter, you'll be back for more.
The food was hot and flavorful. The cucumber appetizer was delicious. The service was fast and nice. They treated us very nice and the music was not loud but relaxing. Tell your family, friends and coworkers to come spend a check in here. It’s definitely a hidden gem!!!
Xinjiang BBQ
Had a fantastic time at this Xinjiang BBQ restaurant! Plenty of options for group gatherings. The meats were abundant and flavorful, and the sauces were delicious. Everyone left satisfied and full. Highly recommend for a fun and tasty dining experience.
The food is good, a little salty but basically delicious. The stir-fried bean sprouts with leeks are highly recommended, and the white rice is also surprisingly delicious. The only thing I don't recommend ordering is the tofu skin, it's so thin that I'm not even sure I've eaten it. But even better than the food was the wait staff. When I accidentally dropped my chopsticks, the waiter immediately brought me a new pair without telling her.
