Tasty Seafood & Dim Sum
Great food and a good atmosphere. This Cantonese restaurant has been around for quite some time, although it seems to have changed names and services every few years. It is more spacious than the last time I visited. The food they serve is still tasty, although the portion is a little small according to the price. The crab is $45 by itself. If you like dim sum and Chinese food, it's worth a try.
Had dim sum on a Saturday morning around 11.30am and there was no line at all. I’m more accustomed to the crazy lines at Fung’s kitchen but wanted to try this place out instead. Pleasantly surprised by the taste of most dim sum items!!! The ma lai gao did not use the right brown sugar so the color was off, but overall we liked it better than Fung’s kitchen. Would rather come back here if taste was the number one priority. Cheong fun was thinner here than at Fung’s. Beef ball and beancurd roll was way better here. Worth a try if you are a frequent Fung’s customer to determine which you like better. They do not do pushcarts here though so that is a minus on the experience. Also, some parts of the restaurant had a weird smell.
Fu's Garden
Honest review * I have been here many times. I want to compliment the servers ( angel & nino) maybe I’m spelling it wrong but they are amazing. They are so welcoming. The Asian lady and man in the front are rude and cheap. Sorry to tell you the truth but why would I lie. They like to save their extra 5 cents vs making a customer happy. Especially the lady. Anytime she’s there it’s bad vibes. I go for the food and waiters because they are just so awesome. Anyways 5 star service but I am putting 4 stars because it’s not that perfect with the people in the front. I stopped ordering take out because she always wants to be complaining about adding one extra spicy sauce to go. Apparently it costs them hundreds of dollars ( I’m exaggerating) but come on now.
This is less about the food and more about the experience. This is typical American Chinese food that most people expect when they order takeout and everything was fresh and tasted fine. I'm gluten free so it made a big difference that they were able to accommodate me. My wife is not gluten free and enjoyed her food as well. I was driving home from work and I didn't want to deal with figuring out dinner so I called Fu's, they made ordering easy, they made gluten free ordering easy, and the price was great, the food was fresh and it took very little time for me to be able to pick up my order. In fact, I called while on the freeway and it was ready by the time I got to the restaurant.
Red Pepper Chinese Restaurant
Took my dad out for lunch on a Friday afternoon (not too crowded) and had a great experience! Service was outstanding from refills to making sure our food was to our liking. As for the food itself it was very delicious (and fresh) loved the chilli oil! I definitely recommend this place for great food at a decent price and service.
The lunch is reasonably priced and the food was good. The restaurant is small and quite busy. Employees are nice and chill. I ordered the beef and vegetables with egg roll and wonton soup, everything was great and not overpowering with sodium like some other places.
P. King Authentic Chinese Food
I ordered take out with uber eats and they did not disappoint. Even though the food took an hour to get to me it was still piping hot, fresh and delicious. I was nervous after reading the bad reviews but it was tasty and exactly what I wanted. Definitely recommend giving them a shot.
I ordered rare filet. as you can see, they ruined my entire meal by cooking to well done. it's awful and now it's trash. thanks for wasting my time!!! I put the over cooked garbage where it belonged. Don't order here if you want them to give you rare meat, the way every other Vietnamese place offers it. now I have to find food to eat because they ruined MY dinner for the night. thanks guys! update: good job guys, you also ate almost all the duck skin off and left me with dry meat. roasted disappointment and the old fruit that is clearing past it's due date? yeah, Im never ordering from this trash hole again.
Wok 1
I hate to give them a bad review because the food is good but it’s losing value over time since I started coming here. When you pay for extra protein ($5 upcharge) you would expect it to be there but they seem to be trying to get away with the regular portion and keeping the money. Come on, chicken is so cheap to get commercially.
It's totally amazing! I was mind blown, and this will be my go-to Chinese restaurant from here on. We did take-out and got our food in less than 15 minutes. Once we got home, the delicious smell of the noodles had me drooling. The shrimp and egg rolls were delicious! 10 out of 10 would recommend. I'm definitely coming again.
Rice Bowl
I paid 15 dollars for this and looked at how much shrimp 🍤 the box had. This is a scammed 😑 and it's supposedly their large Size!!
I enjoyed the orange chicken even though it tastes like I think general tso chicken should taste. The fried rice had a few hard pieces. I still ate all of it. I took my food to go. There was not much room in the location to dine in.
Great Wall Super Buffet
The food was decent. However, the service was not it. For example, she didn't give good customer service. We had to wait about 15 minutes to get refills. She also rushed over when she saw the money and then demanded a tip. We were going to leave a tip either way, but she kept demanding it from me and everyone I was with. We did, however, end up still leaving a $10 tip because I felt forced to, but I am honestly regretting it. Will not be coming back.
The food is hella bomb I’m not gonna lie I been coming for over a year! But these last couple visits have rubbed me the wrong way especially today. I came in with my 7year old 2 year old and 1 year old. Policy is on the door 3-6 years 5.65 for lunch and 7-8 years is 7.89 but if they are 5ft they’ll be adult priced. I’ve never had an issue as far as pricing but today, they charged me for my 2 and 1 year old saying only one child can have free lunch but I brought two. Mind you my 2 year old is very picky and didn’t eat a thing. My 1 year old is a foodie and ate everything I let him try! It was one plate of food he ate off of, fries, grapes, noodles and teriyaki my 2 year old ate absolutely nothing and only drank his juice the entire time! So when they brought the check I told her I wasn’t paying for 3 kids meals and 2 should be free. She explained because I brought two kids only 1 will be free per adult. Which is t the policy in the door as you walk in. I told her I will not pay for a 1 year old child and a 2 year old that ate absolutely nothing she insisted and I told her no. That’s absolutely wrong, as long as I have been coming and bringing my kids y’all never did that before. They changed it to one adult one child. Then stood over me as I paid. Like I wasn’t gonna pay ! So y’all have lost me and my family as a customer again the food is amazing service is horrible.
Che Hong Kong
The only good thing about Che Hong Kong is the variety of Che (desserts) they offer, along with their attractive "buy 5, get 1 free" deal. If you're a fan of sweet treats, this is definitely a perk worth noting. However, I strongly advise against trying their $10 lunch option. The food not only lacked flavor but also seemed old and unappetizing. It was disappointing and not worth the price. Stick to the desserts, as that's where they seem to excel.
Updated 6/16/24 Texas 2024: Destination #8: General description: This place specializes in assorted Vietnamese chè and common homestyle comfort food and snacks. Highlights: The guy owner once told me years ago that his family in Vietnam has been cooking and selling chè for generations. He uses his mom's family secret recipe. I have tasted many homemade versions and versions from different Vietnamese dessert shops, but this place makes it best. This Vietnamese dessert shop has been my family's favorite place to buy chè for almost two decades now. It's all about the texture of the glutinous rice, consistency of cassava and tapioca, and the coconut milk is always fresh since they only make enough for the day. Recommendations: 1. Chè Trôi Nước- The uniqueness about this chè at this place is that the owner uses his mom's family secret recipe to make the glutinous rice to remain soft even after refrigerating. Reheat for one minute and it will be like the texture when you first bought it. Other places I have tried will have a hard texture that just doesn't taste good once it's been chilled and reheated. 2. Chè Bà Ba - coconut milk syrup with tapioca pearls, taro, cassava, and yellow sweet potato 3. My kids like the flavorful sweet and savory marinated chicken quarters. The meat was moist and tender and marinated well. 4. Canh chua gà is Vietnamese sweet and sour tamarind soup with chicken has the traditional canh chua flavor with a little twist of substituting fish with dark meat chicken 5. The spicy lemongrass with chili oil fried tofu made from scratch is worth trying. I love it. 6. Chè chuối - My mama friend and her daughter love the chè chuối, Vietnamese tapioca pudding with Thai Namwah bananas and coconut milk. 7. Chè Hột É - Basil seed chè with poontalai seeds is my daughter's favorite chè here Cons: 1. This shop only accepts cash. 2. My nose did not like the smell the first moment I stepped into the food court of Hong Kong market.
The Mango's Plano
I love to visit small business with fresh cooked food. I visited this small restaurant often after busy work. They freshly prepared and cook to order my food. I believe they learn their Chinese cooking skill from a Chinese owner. Just kind and humble small business. I love they close on Sunday to rest. My rating. 5 is very satisfy. Taste 5/5 Temp 5/5 cooked to order Attentive and courteous 5/5 Cleanliness 5/5 the owner swipe the floor when I arrived. Will I revisit? Yes. Will I recommend? Yes.
Cute little Chinese restaurant with some wholly delicious food! My girlfriend got the seafood combo and tofu veggie soup, both of which she absolutely adored! Meanwhile, I got the fried chicken wings (which I didn’t realize were appetizers—whoops) and they were incredible, some of the best and finest tasting chicken I’ve had to date! Absolutely do not regret stopping by here, and everything was so well priced too! Definitely coming back!
Blue Bambo Chinese restaurant
I eat here literally once a week. Price and quality are top tier! Two sweet men who make your food to order, and the flavor never disappoints.
They have fast food Chinese prepared or to-order. I order the two entree combo with noodles. I chose the orange chicken and the sesame. The food was piping hot. This location is great for a quick bite since the food is already ready. They had about seven prepared entrees, two soups, brown and white rice, and noodles.
Wu Wei Din Chinese Cuisine - Plano Independence
The preserved egg and tofu was light and refreshing. The sauce was missing a little tang for me. The pork soup dumplings were mad fresh. They were soupy and the skin was thin. The golden garlic beef was very good. The pork chop on the pork chop rice was tender but not crispy like what I’m use to. It’s still very good with a 5 spice flavor. Everything was good and I’ll be back.
We enjoyed a fun get together with friends. The food was tastey. The drinks were good. Their menu doesn't label gluten free food, and they don't cater to special diets. I don't recommend eating here unless you research ahead of time. All the drinks are $10 with no happy hour. I found a manager who was able to help me navigate the items without wheat.
Awesome Chinese Cuisine 五餅二魚
This place is definitely a hidden gem. They’ve been open maybe 1.5 years. The owners are as sweet and sincere as can be. The food is absolutely delicious and flavorful, reasonably priced as well. The Peking duck speaks true to form. A must go with your friends so you can order more. It’s a very unassuming place but this place will be a regular
This is a cozy and welcoming restaurant—the staff are all very friendly! They offer unlimited unsalted peanuts as a starter, serve warm water in mugs with lemon slices, and even include free white rice with the beef brisket tofu pot we ordered! We had the beef brisket tofu pot and the seafood crispy noodles. Both dishes were hearty and packed with ingredients, including a good amount of vegetables. We highly recommend this restaurant!
