Kim Tran Restaurant
Service was great! Our server took care of us and was very attentive, food was very good and well spiced. I would recommend this place for lunch with friends or family :)
I don't like giving bad reviews, but sometimes you don't have a choice. The lemongrass chicken was bone dry the sweet and sour pork was mostly dry and flavorless. The only way I can describe the service is indifferent. Trust me the pictures look much better than they taste.
Golden Kirin Restaurant
Good Hood Chinese! Very nice staff and great food, only one bullet hole in the windows which is pretty good for the place and good in price too!
Food is made fresh and hot. Their specials are good. Only one thing lunch specials doesn't come with soup. It would be nice if they did. Friendly servers, good service. One thing female toilet doesn't work when you flush it. It doesn't have enough pressure for the "Crap" to go down. Reported it to the server she said, it doesn't work. Health department needs to look into this.
Best Quality Daughter
Visited on a whim for a late lunch/early dinner and absolutely enjoyed the experience — great service and ambiance! Our fave dish was the curry shrimp fried rice; the cashew chicken was also a group favorite. If you go, you should know that 1) your food is brought to the table as they finish it (versus waiting until everything is done to bring it out) and 2) they serve their dishes family style and they’re meant to be/best shared among the group. We were a party of four that shared pot stickers, hush puppies, and 3 family style meals and enjoyed ample sized servings of all.
I loveeee this place! First, the name is hilarious, the atmosphere is lovely, and the food & drinks are best top quality. We had Above my Pay Grade, Are you there God.., Standard Deviation boozy boba, Garlicky noodles, Taiwanese Popcorn chicken, Eggplant, Marinated Bamboo, and Black Sesame ice cream. Everything was so delicious, I came back the next day and ordered almost all of the same. I highly recommend if you’re in the mood for super good Asian food.
Noods Mexican-Asian Fusion
Wow I'm so glad I tried this place out! I was interested in the different style of food they offer and the pictures looked fantastic. I wasn't expecting it to be a food hall with very little seating and the area it's in is a bit sketchy. Aside from that the way you ordered was pretty neat and the food was phenomenal. I got the spicy chicken tacos, side of noodles, fried dumplings, and Thai tea. So fresh and appealing to the eye. I look forward to trying more of their menu!
My order was via Doordash so I cannot speak for the service or atmosphere but the food was delicious! The Nachos and Pad Thai were amazing! Will definitely try again next time I'm in San Antonio.
Golden Star Cafe
Awesome awesomely served great people mellow music, just great over all! Whoever the cook is dammn man you get down and the waitress you are awesome 🙏
I have been going for over 30 years and still love the fish and gravy. Only place I go to for my fish n gravy.
April's Chinese Restaurant
Best Egg Drop soup in town. Great place with awesome service and great prices! Highly recommend 👌
Been going to Aprils for a very long time. I have to admit, it looks dirty, never see their health scores posted and their bathrooms smell so so bad like sewage!!! What the heck is happening inside their drainage system?? You can’t afford to at least buy air freshener from the dollar store? Really! It stinks!!😷 Well we went on Friday and the time was 8:35 and we were turned away! The male waiter motioned to me and my husband like they were “closed” with his hands. So then he asked the girl behind the front counter and she tells him no by shaking her head! It wasn’t the regular Hispanic lady. She didn’t have the courtesy to talk to us or say sorry. They close at 9 pm, I get it, it was close to closing time. But the fact that they serve super fast, we had time to eat and leave before or at 9 pm! Never had a restaurant turn us away before closing time. Also note we don’t enter like 20 minutes before closing hours. They surely didn’t appreciate our business! That’s the worst way to lose customers and business. Also, the wait staff never talk to their regulars or any customer at their restaurant is just poor service! We just cancelled them off our restaurant list. Fix your nasty and smelly bathrooms. Also need to display your health scores by law.
Pacific Moon
It's a Pan-Asian restaurant. The teriyaki chicken bowl was delicious and the potion size was big! It had an egg on top (I opted for scrambled ), so it was a new flavor combination for me, but it tasted great together. It has a nice calm vibe for dining in and the service was great! I think I'll try the sesame chicken on a future visit.
Items of note: Small extra charge for credit card. Friendly staff Delicious food Well stocked bar Had a wonderful time at Pacific Moon. Staff were super-friendly and attentive. The Raman bowl, I forgot the actual name, was really good and well seasoned. The portion is huge, with lots of noodles and vegetables. They will split it into two bowls (my picture shows split portion, vegetable) for a small charge. Oddly enough, this is a place I've seen often but never went in. I'm glad I did this time. A hidden gem. Went inside and it seemed to be quite popular. I found it amusing how they knew some of the customers names, whom I assume are regulars. Prices for the food range from around $10 to $30, and the drinks were reasonably priced. May be our go-to place for an occasional evening drink.
YuFeng Asian Cuisine
We ate: General Tso’s Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Crispy Spicy chicken, pork egg rolls, sweet corn soup, Deep fried Ribs, sea Food Lo Main and Twice cooked pork Belly. Everything was amazing, original Chinese flavor. Everything was very fresh and made at the moment. The Bubble tea (frozen) was delicious. Definitely one of the best Chinese place that I’ve been and ate. We’ll come back.
Good lunch specials with an attentive staff. The food was quick and fresh. Haven't had hot and sour soup that actually had some spice heat to it in a long time. It will catch you off guard. Want to come back and try some of the seafood dishes next time.
China Stix
Ate here a week and a half ago with my wife. Had been a long time since we'd last eaten at China Stix (pre-COVID), but very glad to see they survived and are doing well. I ordered the Orange Chicken and Broccoli dish and it was outstanding. Do not be put off by the "spicy" symbol on the menu--it truly is not--but it has really good flavor. Broccoli was cooked perfectly. Iced tea was very good, as were the egg roll and fried rice. Service was very efficient and super-quick. An overall very good experience!
First timer. I ordered the Kung Pao Delight lunch special. Waitress was nice and attentive. We received our food in less than 10 minutes. I absolutely loved my dish. The Kung Pao Delight included beef, chicken, and shrimp. Great taste and perfect serving. Lunch Specials are very reasonable. We will definitely be going again.
Delicious Garden (San Antonio)
This restaurant is a great spot for a quick lunch. While the ambiance is nothing to write home about, the friendliness of the waitress stood out. She was efficient and focused, though it was clear she was feeling a bit worn out, not unfriendly. The food was delicious, and I truly enjoyed my meal. I noticed a sign outside claiming 'Healthy Chinese Food,' which piqued my curiosity, as I didn't see any specific menu items that supported this claim. Overall, I would return for a casual lunch or takeout, but not for a fancy dinner."
I’ve ordered from here a few times and the dishes are consistent and good portion sizes for the money. Staff is friendly when I call for questions and my items are always packed nicely. The presentation is nice, but more importantly, it’s very tasty. I’d argue it’s the best Chinese restaurant in San Antonio.
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
First time to this location. Been to other Pei Wei locations many times. We were promptly greeted when walked in. Our order was taken by a friendly person. The food was brought to our table by a friendly person. I ordered a sweet and sour soup. And a spicy crispy beef and white rice. It was all delicious. Loved it all. The staff were great here !! Really made a difference.
Stopped by for lunch in between appointments and asked for extra spicy and it was delicious! Huge portion size and very fresh! Definitely will be back! :)
Genghis Grill
We stumbled upon this place and was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious, the service was outstanding, and the portions were generous. I especially loved the ‘make your own bowl’ concept—such a great idea! As first-time visitors, we really appreciated the ladies taking the time to explain the process and recommend sauces—they did an excellent job. The only downside is that the building could use a little TLC, but overall, a great experience. Highly recommend!
This date night was a blast!! This was my first time here and I must say . I enjoyed every moment! DJLibraSun was awesome and had the beats coming 🙌 Our server Charles made the experience even better! He was so informative, and he was one of the best servers I've ever had. Food was amazing and the whole experience was great! Thank you 😊
