Sam Woo BBQ

The OG Chinese BBQ spot in the GTA. Every time I visit my mom, this is a must. Half a BBQ duck and 1lb of BBQ pork (fatty). The atmosphere screams 1990s. A very happy period in my life so atmosphere gets 5 stars ... not for everyone lol. Superb flavours! Go visit your parents and bring them some BBQ!

My first time back to this place in 25 yrs. And it’s better than ever. The ginger and green onion lobster was divine, very fresh, beautifully done. And the beef tenderloin was equally amazing. The service is not warm and fuzzy, I like that. I hate pretentious service. They are efficient, polite and are 100% focused on getting fresh, high quality food to your table. That’s their goal.

Yang's BBQ

This is our second visit in 2 months. We ordered BBQ Lamb skewers, BBQ chicken wings, BBQ steamed buns and the cumin fried rice with lamb. On our previous visit, we also had the BBQ pork belly which was also very good. This is one of the best grilled meat, I’ve had and prices are very reasonable for family dining of 4. We ended also ordering take outs on both occasions. Must try. Yang’s barbecue does not disappoint.

The food was great and well seasoned. The chicken was kind of more curry like which was interesting. The service was normal. The prices were normal. The portions are good too. Nothing to really complain about besides that it was kind of loud. Closing statement: Overall a pretty decent place.

So good! Friendly staff and delicious food. Will definitely go back. Had the crispy spicy chicken and the hot dumplings. They serve beer here too. Great atmosphere with plenty of tables. Would recommend this place if you are from out of town and want some good Chinese food. Next time I'm trying the crispy beef. Looked so good in the menu picture.

There are a few really good dishes. The spicy chicken is quite flavourful and hot. One of my favorites. Lunch specials are ok but don't come with rice. Portions are ok. Not terribly expensive, but not super cheap. Overall it's quite good IMO. Service is so so.

Good portions for the lunch special.. Atmosphere was very quiet, clean and had the old chinese aesthetic. this would not be bad for a regular dine in. Service was just great, Vincent, i’m not sure if I got the name right but he was good, and gave fortune cookies at the end of dine in as well. Would love to see more people dine in tho. Definitely coming back

No one ever leaves this place hungry. The portions are large and the food is top quality. They have a lunch special for 7.95. There was eight of us for a birthday party. Half of us had the lunch special and half had individual orders that they shared.

It's my first time here! We came for dim sum at lunchtime. I was surprised by the size of their dumplings. They were double the size. It is filled with meat and thin skin. Yummy and filling, everything was good. Price was fair for the portion size. You need to give it a try! Have a look at my pictures and press the like button! If you like what I do, press the follow button to see what I do next!

Very busy place for dim sum. Parking wasn't too difficult to find. We were a table of 2 and was lucky a table was available right away. The hostess was a bit aggressive guiding my gf to the table. Aside from that the dim sum was pretty good quality. A bit pricier.

Shaxian Snacks

I ordered some foods and the waiter did not provide any other service except delivering the food to the table. When I paid the bill, I did not choose to tip. So the waiter came out and tried to force me to tip. I said I had change in my car and if they insisted on a mandatory 10% tip, I could give you the change. The waitress refused again. This was the first time I encountered this. Isn't tipping based on the customer’s feeling?

As a person who ate Shaxian food a lot in China, I think overall the food in this restaurant is OK (at least higher than my expectation) despite that non of these are authentic enough. This is the first time I came here so I ordered the most popular and common food I would order in a Shaxian restaurant. The noodle was good actually but the wonton soup was just so so (very little meat in wonton and the soup base is not bone based, just like water base). They have quite good service! However, the sanitation needs improvement. If you look at the photo there is a short hair in the plate and some other small stains. I didn’t touch that plate at all and it was definitely not my hair (I have long hair).

I drove over and saw that the store was closed.

Good take out place! Very cheap price. Food is very tasty . Fried rice and noodles are must try! Would buy again definitely. Hope they had more vegetarian options.

I can’t speak to the food but the environment looks very unsanitary. I went in to order food and the restaurant reeked of cigarettes smoke and harsh clearers. Everything in the restaurant was stained yellow form the smoking. It was dirty and gross. Wanted people to be aware before ordering there.

Shanghai 360

Shanghai 360 is a solid pick for a quick, affordable lunch. The restaurant has a clean, organized vibe, with a colourful menu and a nice touch of traditional decor on the back wall. It’s inviting and easy to navigate, just communicate with the staff what you would like to order. I went with Combo 2, where you choose one meat and one veggie. There are labels for the food options, but I found myself just pointing at what I wanted, and the staff added it to my container. The egg noodles were a bit on the greasy side but delivered that satisfying comfort food feel. The spicy beef wasn’t the finest cut, but it was flavourful and hearty enough to enjoy. The mixed veggies, while not the freshest, were well-seasoned and balanced the meal nicely. Portion sizes are generous, so you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. If you like a bit of extra kick, spicy sauce is available upon request. Overall, this spot is a great choice for a filling, budget-friendly meal that doesn’t skimp on variety. Perfect for a quick stop when hunger strikes!

Worst food I have had in the recent times. I found a big colored hair in my food. 🤮 Chicken tasted old and stale. No spice, nothing. I had to throw away the meal because it tasted so bad and unhygienic. Dont ever come to this place. Save your money.

Hakka 6ix

This was a good Hakka experience! I tried chowmein noodles with spicy chicken and sweet sesame chicken! It was delicious. What I loved most was it did not have a lot of oil unlike other places. The spice level and everything else was so perfect. I will definitely go again! Give it a try. I haven’t tried with their rice, which looked really good! 💗

I ordered a wrap and the wrap had no sauce, vegetables or seasoning. The chicken was stale and dry. The wrap itself was a paratha clearly bought from a grocery store. It was no bigger than my pinky. I saw the worker microwaving this before giving it to me and refused a refund. False advertising and horrible food that gave food poisoning. Don't waste your money here.
