Tipsy Shanghai 蘇杭餐厅
We just had an absolutely incredible dinner experience at this amazing spot! Rita was simply outstanding! Her professionalism and expertise were unmatched, making our dining experience unforgettable. The service was truly top-notch! And let’s talk about the food—it was absolutely delicious! The restaurant was spotless and impeccably organized. We can't wait to return and explore the rest of the menu! What a fantastic evening!
A cute little spot with amazing food. The pork XLB were juicy with a light, savory flavor. Shredded Pork and Salted Vegetable Soup had a delicate flavor that really showcased the vegetables. For dessert I highly recommend the creamy coconut red bean soup.
King Garden
Love LOVE this place. I always have a hard time with Chinese takeout and this is my go to spot. They were closed I assume for reconstruction and every place I went to during the time didn’t feel as fresh or the same. Such an amazing spot and the staff is always so friendly :)
I’ve been ordering from King Garden for well over a decade. I usually get the fried tofu and broccoli with garlic sauce, fried chicken wings or General Tso Chicken. What strikes me every time is how fresh the vegetables are, tasty and clean tasting (and not gloppy) the sauces are and fresh and pure the tofu is. Also, I love their egg rolls! Not too greasy - crunchy and flavorful. They know me by name now and we catch up about life when I come by. Very nice owners with pride of ownership! Another thing - the orders are done fast and the delivery is always quick!
Chop Chop
I’ve worked in Glatt kosher Chinese restaurants before… Chop Chop is by far the best quality and tastiest I’ve ever had. The noodles of any kind are amazing and the beef dumplings a MUST! Plus… owner Matthew Chan is a real mensch! Can’t wait to go back. (Or get delivery 😉)
After so much fake promotions on Facebook drove half hours or more from upper East side ordered three Small dishes from Menu but charged for large asking for copy of take out menus there was none. Only a sit down menu . On line menus posted is not what you get charged for. Asked the girl sitting playing w her phone if chopstick and it paper plates are in package food she nodded . Could care more for her gesture. As far as the taste of food the chicken w / mixed vegetables and chicken with nuts were tasteless. Sesame chicken so sugary unbearable . Rice Under cook and very little. Still prefer the Chinese on 34 th street in NYC . Would I go back most probably no .
MáLà Project Bryant Park
I love the dry pot. The spices and herbs used in their MaLa sauce is just so good. We did have to wait a little to get seated but once we were, the seating had nice spacing. We loved the thousand year egg and the beef noodle soup was pretty good as well. Some other items on the menu like the dumplings and the pickled vegetables were just okay, noting really noteworthy. Overall I love coming here when i'm in NYC for the dry pot.
I revisited this spot after a long break since pre-COVID, based on a friend's request. I used to enjoy it a lot back then. The branding and online presence (website/menus) have been nicely updated. A minor suggestion: a paper checklist or interactive online menu for ingredients would be helpful for ordering the DIY dry pots. The interior also has some updated branding elements, and it was interesting to see a more diverse clientele. However, I also found the price to be quite expensive for what was offered. Unfortunately, the dining experience had some downsides. Despite being seated under the AC on a humid, rainy day, it was still uncomfortably warm. We ordered two DIY dry pots (spicy and less spicy). While the food arrived quickly and the portions were larger than I recalled, the flavor profile had changed significantly. The "spicy" pot lacked any noticeable spice and was surprisingly sweet, which isn't the typical savory and spicy profile I expect from mala dry pot. Perhaps offering more distinct spice levels would cater to a wider range of preferences. Service was generally good, with polite and friendly staff, though we did need to ask for water refills occasionally, and there were a few small errors. Overall, a place I once greatly enjoyed is now one I'd hesitate to return to due to the altered flavor and pricing. However, I can see how the current taste might appeal to a broader audience unfamiliar with authentic mala, and it's positive to see Asian cuisine thriving.
Mr. Wu Dim Sum
Cute little spot with great dumplings 😋 Had fantastic pork soup dumplings, recommend. The noodles were okay, the soup was a bit bland, but the shrimp wontons were filled and delicious. Staffs are welcoming. Spent about $35
Absolutely lovely little spot! The service was amazing, the ladies at the front were so nice and conversational, got very good vibes from them. Went with my husband & my best friend we all got the beef braised rice noodles and the chicken soup dumplings OMG SO GOOD! Debated on ordering more to-go lol. Overall very delicious homey, comforting food and amazing service! Would definitely recommend going! Will definitely be coming back on our next NYC trip!
Din Tai Fung
If you’re in New York and craving some seriously good dumplings, you’ve got to check out Din Tai Fung. From the moment I walked in, the staff was super friendly and made me feel right at home. The vibe is nice—modern but cozy. The Pork Xia Long Bao are perfectly made, with a thin skin that just bursts with flavor. I could eat a dozen of those without breaking a sweat. And don’t skip the Dessert Xia Long Bao! They’re filled with this sweet sesame paste that’s just the right way to wrap up the meal. The service was on point too—attentive but not overbearing. Overall, Din Tai Fung is a must-try if you love Taiwanese food. I’ll definitely be back for more!
Din Tai Fung always stands out for its authentic flavors and consistent menu. This location, right in the heart of Manhattan, delivers the classic Din Tai Fung experience perfectly. The wait can be a bit long, but once you're seated, the food comes out quickly, so it’s not too bad. The service is always friendly, and every dish we had was delicious. When it comes to xiaolongbao, this might be the best spot in all of Manhattan.
Dim Sum Darling
Hawkers Market review #2 (I reviewed the coffee spot earlier and came back to Hawkers Market to eat at as many places as humanly possible) this place was pretty good. I tried the three dumplings here to get a taste of what they had to offer. The flavor was really good, and I liked the extra green onion they threw on top for me. The only downside that kept it from being flawless was that the dumpling wrappers were a little overcooked so they fell apart as soon as I tried to pick them up and left a few sort of mushy bits at the bottom of the container. Other than that the flavors were all still there, they might just want to consider thicker wrappers or a slightly different cooking technique that's all.
We ordered and tried the darling bowl, meat supreme bowl, one build your own and dumpling. The food tastes great! it’s flavorful, just the right amount of spiciness.. very fulfilling and warm.. they may improve on the portions, but full points for hospitality and taste. particularly Eve- very friendly and kind staff
The Corner Chinese Restaurant
A good variety of food that could appeal to everyone’s tastes. Not everything is the most authentic but the food was still good and perhaps more approachable to those less familiar with the cuisine. The portions are big (you could share two among three people) and pretty affordable for NYC.
I had their lunch offering of stir-fried BEEF with scallions ($14) which was tasty and I enjoyed. It came with a tasty egg roll and choice of white or brown rice. There was not a lot of beef, but what was there was of a good quality. Their egg drop soup was watery and I stoped eating it after two spoonfuls. The same thing with LAMB was poor because the lamb had no taste.
Bites of Xi'an 56
Not alot of seating, but This place is a great lunch spot. I ordered the popular stewed beef noodle soup w.pulled noodles. I prefer the regular noodles. The soup was flavorful and the spice was perfect, it wasn't too spicy.
The beef burgers and the pork burgers are my favorite items there, the noodles look amazing though I’ve never tried. The burgers are loaded with meat and flaky and crispy just perfect. Prices are good and the vibes are chill and employees are helpful.
Wu Liang Ye
Went here on a whim with 3 of my employees to take them out to eat. Service is very impressive. Food came out quickly and tasted well, but if I had to choose, I would prefer taking a trip to Chinatown for food there.
The Sichuan food here is excellent. We’ve been coming here for years, and the service and the quality of the food is consistently outstanding. We ordered the steamed fresh bacon with garlic soy vinaigrette, sliced scungilli with roasted chili vinaigrette, hand shredded chicken with spicy sesame vinaigrette, ox tongue and tripe with roasted chili-peanut vinaigrette, dan dan noodles, sautéed chicken with roasted chili and peanut (kung pao chicken), braised whole fish with sichuan chili miso sauce, shredded pork with spicy garlic sauce, sautéed baby bok choy, and sautéed string beans with Yibin City spices. Everything was absolutely delicious. We always recommend this place to friends and family, and we will definitely keep coming back!
Panda Express

queen bakery II
I went there for some food with my friend. They served the food at 4:50 pm. When we were eating the food, one staff was clearing the floor, i said maybe you can do it later as we were eating our food. It was so dirty. The lady replied rudely and complained if we were not eaten now, she could finish all the job and went home as they closed at 5 pm. i think they should show their business hours on the door or the wall. When we placed an order, they should let us know they close soon. Actually, we had not finished our food. It waste my money. It was really bad experience.
Nothing special. Soup broth has no flavor. Health dept rates it “B”. It has the feeling of a take out place / mini food court with plastic disposable bowls and plastic forks and knives. Would not go back. Definitely better at the restaurants in Chinatown.
