Jue Lan Club
This place is a whole vibe. Super trendy and chic; dope ambiance, fire music, and dim lighting. The food was amazing as well. Fresh/ high quality ingredients and I was even more impressed that we had a super large party but all of the food came out at the same time and was hot and fresh. The deviled eggs were delectable, the filling was so light and velvety. I also had the shrimp lo mein which I loved how they weren't stingy with the shrimp and they were very nice sized as well. The pork fried rice had nice sizes of shredded pork, almost felt like ribs, in it. The filet mignon was very tender and the chicken wings were fried perfectly, extremely crisp and seasoned. The service was also on point and friendly all across the board. I'd def recommend this spot and can't wait to return.
I recently visited Jue Lan Club in NYC, and the experience was nothing short of incredible. The food was absolutely amazing—I’ve never had Asian cuisine this flavorful and perfectly executed. Every dish, from the appetizers to the desserts, was exceptional. One standout was the chicken satay (if I’m recalling the name correctly). It was phenomenal and left a lasting impression. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Panda Express
Panda Express, there is comfort in knowing what to expect with decent food! We love the consistent good experience of this location, esp during the lunch hour - they are constantly refilling with hot and freshly made food! This is a clean location with seating, the staff are friendly, and a nice rotation of new dishes to try.
Came on 27 May around 5:15pm. My first time ever at a panda express and the staff were really friendly and the food really good! From the ordering process to the payment and to the experience of eating authentic Chinese food, it was a 5 star experience overall. Highly recommend!
Six Happiness
Food was OK. We ordered veg dumplings, veg soup, Singapore noodles, and eggplant broccoli mushroom with garlic sauce. The dumplings and the noodles tasted pretty ok. The soup was nice, and the garlic sauce was not bad but a little too oily. I would also recommend takeout over dining in, as there is only one table and the food is served in a takeout bag. Overall, the food wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either.
I recently placed a large catering order (30 people) with Six Happiness-uptown. The food was delicious and I got a lot of positive feedback about it from my team. The delivery was fast and the restaurant had truly excellent communication. I also loved that the food was packaged nicely and stayed piping hot. The catering menu made ordering easy and the meal was super affordable. I will be ordering here again for future team lunches. Thank you!
Dragon Family
Solid Chinese takeout, fast delivery and great prices. The spring rolls were full of fresh veggies (a lot of placed they taste mushy like they were frozen). The egg foo young and lo mien were both good. I'll definitely be ordering from them again.
Living in this neighborhood, I was so excited when Dragon Family opened. But sadly after ordering from here 8 times, only 3 were good and I’m done trying to give Dragon Family another try… I ordered sweet & sour chicken twice (1 was horrible), General Tso Chicken (2 times were horrible, 1 was good), Chicken Fried Rice ordered 3 times (2 horrible, 1 good). Not to mention how greasy and oily the Pork Egg Rolls were (tasted like old, stale oil) Sadly, I won’t be back again after my awful dinner last night that left me constantly running to my bathroom because of diarrhea…
Go Noodle
Excellent neighborhood spot for fast, consistent food. We have ordered from Go Noodle more than two dozen times and it's always tasty. If there’s ever an issue with an order (i.e., the DoorDasher didn’t shows up), these guys are FAST to correct it. If you’re looking for a local place that delivers reliable quality and stands by their customers, you can’t do better than Go Noodle.
Good value for the food quality and taste. Literally half the price of all other Chinese spots in Manhattan. I found the food to be piping hot and delicious. Not sure what all these negative reviews are about, but notice that the Asian names (south, southeast or east Asian) are giving all 5 star reviews. I trust them the most to review Chinese food.
A & C Kitchen
This place has become my go to Chinese spot in the neighborhood. Most of the things that I’ve tried have been pretty good. The delivery is usually within like 20 minutes. They save my number and address so I don’t have to repeat myself every time I call which is great!
Been going there for years but going to switch to another place. I ordered my usual broccoli and bean curd w garlic sauce over the phone. I thought I misheard the price until I got there and it rang in at $19.50. I could sit in a real restaurant and eat way better food for that. No point to spending $20 on not very good food from a hole in the wall like this.
Bings & Noodles
Craving authentic Chinese street food? Look no further! From friendly staff to cute decor, the experience is as delightful as the food itself. Our order included mouthwatering jianbing, savory noodles, pancakes, and more! If you’re in need of a quick and satisfying meal, Bing Noodles is the answer.
The staff was great. The jianbing taste was not balance well too salty . However, they hit the points of making traditional jianbing. It included egg, veggie ,and crisp fritter. The size was pretty big. The stinky tofu was not that stinky and too salty. I felt they over fried the tofu and it had remaining taste of oil. It made it taste greasy. I gave it 3 stars for the service but 1 star for the food. They have much more improve space to be valued at that price point. After tax for these two was around $20.
Rong Hang
It's an authentic Fu Zhou restaurant but can be a little daunting for people not from this area. Servers spoke Fu Zhou accents and menu items mostly are at market price. However the seafood is very fresh and tasty. You really have to bring a friend who knows their language so that they can order off menu items! They allow smoking in the restaurant which I don't really like. It can get very noisy too sometimes.
We did not intend to come here, but they have an A grade and the place we were going to next door had a C grade. The food is ok. The prices are questionable since most the menu is "SP" which i think is market price. They give you a peanut/pickled something dish as an appatizer which isnt bad. The shrimp dish was a little pricey for what it was. But it was fresh. And they have beer if you want it. We also got two lobsters for $50 which isnt a great deal, but it did taste good.
A1 Seafood Restaurant
Very good prices! Their seafood are provided by the seafood supermarket right across, thus super fresh. Best dishes are lobster, crabs, scallops. Special $30 for 2 lobsters, good size. Restaurant is clean and spacious, service is good, free cashews and fruits.
Grand opening! I came during dinner time and ordered the lamb stew with bean curd skin in casserole and also fried fish fillet and bean curd. Also got 2 bowls of rice and a heineken. Casseroles we’re good and flavorful. The service is very good. They came around multiple times to refill tea, water, check in and see how it was going. They also gave us sliced oranges at the end of the meal. For the price of $70 that was a bit expensive. I recommend going there during lunch time for their lunch specials instead.
East Broadway
Best kept secret in Lower East Side, open 24/7. Best dumplings and authentic noodles for the cheapest I've ever paid for the quantity and quality. I order the dumpling and stir fried noodles with seafood every time and it never disappoints me. It's conveniently located by one of my favorite bars so I like to sneak off and have me some food whenever I get a good buzz going. I found this place by googling 24 hour diners in LES and this came in clutch! Go get you some nom nom's.
An unassuming Fuijianese cuisine restaurant with a very creative restaurant name. A place with older exterior and interior design like the owners don't care about what it looks like inside and out. Frequented by locals and returning customers. They speak English and Mandarin. Most days it's quiet and there's no wait even on weekends. I've gone to other FJ food places in lower Manhattan and nowhere can beat East Broadway's soup noodles. I love their oxtail noodle. It's complex in flavor and doesn't leave you super thirsty after eating it. I also got the pork intestines and pepper and was warned it was spicy. It was kinda spicy and very flavorful. The menu has all sorts of delicacies, from eel to pork blood. It's good for adventurous eaters and people for like FJ food. I Can't wait to return to try all their options. The service is pretty good and the food comes out really fast. You can literally see them cook it in the kitchen in the back. They also have chinese take-out food (Something over rice) on the bottom of the last page on the menu.
Xing Wong BBQ
We often get take outs from Xing Wong. Their Lobster Cantonese style was nicely cooked with minced pork. The roasted pig, roast duck and roast pork were very tasty. Their soy sauce stir fried noodles were delicious. We also like the shrimp with stir fried eggs. Best of all their prices are lower than most restaurants in the area!
One of the most affordable Cantonese cuisine in town with a fair portion. They serve delicious roasted poultries and Cantonese style lunchbox. Parking was a hassle. I was only there to pick up food pre-ordered. The cashier took forever and I ended up getting a parking ticket.
88 Palace
You don't go for the surroundings. You go for the spectacular dumplings and steamed buns. The menu is very small, only 7 items, and nothing is vegetarian. They focus on sweet and meaty steamed buns, packed with flavor and so so juicy. Best part...nothing is more than $5!
This place is not easy to find. It is located on the second floor of a small building. They serve dim sum at 9:30 a.m. The dim sum are carted around in steam carts. We tried some favorites: shrimp harkow, chicken feet, sticky rice with meat, shrimp and beef rice rolls. We also tried some "new" (new to us) dim sum and we were not diapponted. We were pleasantly surprised with the tag price which came to about $15/person with tip. Service is very good, staff is friendly. BTW, they will not accept credit card for less than $25 (before tax).
