Grand Wok
I ordered online for pick up Dining area itself is fine for counter service. Good was tasty I had the roast duck buns. They were delicious. The bread puffy and soft. Loved them! The scallion pancakes were crispy and the sauce was the perfect foil for them. However, I found not a single scallion in them. It’s like someone forgot to fold them into when making the dough. Lady behind the counter got annoyed when I asked for hot sauce since I didn’t ask for it online. Would try more things next time.
To say the staff is “rude to customers” is an understatement. My family I have ordered from here a handful of times. The food is decent but a bit overpriced. We have admittedly referred to this place as “that place with the mean woman.” Yesterday when I needed to grab some takeout, I felt bad about my statement. After all, running a business is difficult and everyone has a bad day, right? So I decided to give this place another try. Lo and behold, the woman at the register had a nasty attitude. Don’t waste your time. There are plenty of other local, family owned restaurants that treat customers with respect.
MP Chinese Kitchen
MP Chinese Kitchen in Montvale is a gem for takeout! The food is consistently tasty, with standout dishes like the sesame chicken and crab rangoon. Portions are generous, and the quality is always high. The staff is friendly and quick, making pickup a breeze. The restaurant is clean and efficient, perfect for a no-fuss meal. If you’re looking for reliable, delicious Chinese food in the area, MP Chinese Kitchen is a top choice!
MP Chinese Kitchen in Montvale is my go-to spot for delicious Chinese takeout. The food consistently delivers with great flavors and generous portions. The General Tso’s chicken is a standout, and the fried rice is always fresh and flavorful. The service is quick and friendly, making it easy to get a tasty meal on the go. The restaurant itself is clean and efficient, perfect for a casual takeout experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Chinese food without the fuss!
Ramsey Chinese Restaurant
Ramsey Chinese is the best Chinese food there is! We’ve been loyal customers for 20 years, it’s our regular spot. Have tried cold sesame noodles everywhere and these are the best in the biz if you like a very thick peanut sauce. Their sauces in general are on the thicker, more flavorful and sweet side. Excellent steamed pork dumplings, sesame and General Tso’s chicken, pork and shrimp dishes, beef and broccoli. So grateful for this establishment!
Been a patron here for 20+ years and it's our favorite Chinese delivery around. The selection of dishes is the standard Chinese/Chinese American cuisine offerings (at least for the NJ/NY area) and we enjoy all of the dishes. If you are looking for solid Chinese take out or delivery you won't be disappointed. Very fair prices. Reflecting on other reviews, we don't get any breaded foods so I can't speak to those menu options. Lots of vegetarian options. Throughout our entire time patronizing Ramsey Chinese, the staff have always been friendly and professional, are always quick and always get our orders right.
Vanessa's Dumpling House
Not sure why the reviews are so low We waited roughly 20 - 22 minutes (which is more than reasonable) Food: 5 Dan Dan mien noodles 🍜 (my order) 3 bubble milk tea 🧋 4 mango 🥭 smoothie 5 chicken and spicy beef dumplings 🥟 and the oil provided tasted great (according to my sis) Atmosphere: 4 seating area great for families and couples There were mostly families and tourists eating peacefully, and great food options within walking distance on the same level I would definitely eat there again Recommendation: Dan Dan Mien noodles w/ hot oil
Well I’m pretty confused about the other reviews. This place tastes nothing like the original location in grand Street. The dumplings are even smaller. They sell kimchi?? It tastes more like Cole slaw. The noodles and the pancakes are good. I guess I made the mistake of ordering dumplings at a dumpling house
Gourmet Garden
By far the BEST Chinese restaurant in Bergen County! I've been going here for 20+ years and it's always excellent!
A take out place Great food
Dragon House Asian Station
Bug in food. A refund still doesn’t make it ok. I think they changed cooks. A face to face apology from the manager would have been nice, but when I walked in she just looked at me and continued to eat her dinner in the corner. She made the nice girl that hands you the food give me the money.
Where do i start. Chow mein is one of my favorite dishes to order whenever i order American Asian food. I've ordered so many times in the last 30 years of my life that I lost count. This is what I ordered today. When it arrived, as you can see in the picture, it's just chicken in watery vegetables. Chicken chow mein is supposed to be made with noodles. I know this because every time I've ordered it, it came with that. A simple Google search will tell you this as well. However, instead of admitting to error, the woman insisted that there's no such thing as noodles in Chicken Chow Mein, and also told me that I can ask anyone how chicken chow mein is supposed to be made and they will tell me its not made with noodles. Im almost certain I'm not the first person to come across this issue. If (without noodles) is a variation , it's certainly not the norm here and they can at least state that on the menu. I attempted to eat this soaking wet slop. The chicken chow mein was practically flavorless. I would only eat this if no food was available to me. The fried dumplings were also very sad. They were flat, and not crispy at all. Kinda soggy. Still way better than the chicken. I don't recommend this place for anyone looking for quality.
Look see
Look See is currently my favorite Chinese restaurant in the area and has been consistently ranked as one of the best too! I have been going to Look See for over 30 years with the previous and current owners. I have always been very happy with how good their food always is! >>> Be sure to try their delicious specialties, or you’ll be missing out on their authentic Chinese dishes such as, Chef Wang’s Chicken, Triple Fragrance, Jumbo Shrimp in Ginger & Scallion Sauce, Chef Wang’s Chicken Chinoise, Look See Singapore Mei Fun and many more! Our server the past 3 times eating dinner there has been Lu-Lu and she is such a pleasure to deal with and to talk with. Feel free to asked for her!
When Look See was near the Interstate Shopping Center it was the best Chinese take-out you could ever wish for !!! The shrimp, beef, scallops were perfect. the sauces all tasted homemade and not like dark brown greasy sauces from the older Chinese take-out only places. It was clearly a cut-above the rest. Well then they moved to Kohls shopping center and it was still very good, for a while. I always gave them 5 star reviews. After last night's $300 holiday take-out (no it wasn't crowded), I know their days are numbered. They missed one of our dinners, my specialty dish (which I always get Jumbo Shrimp and Steak Kew) was terrible. The "steak" was black, overcooked, tasteless and tough. the flavor and sauce were lousy. And yes the prices are "insane" for what you get. Triple Fragrance another favorite has gone downhill as well. Do you want to know why you never see any diners inside anymore, I KNOW WHY!!! To top it off all the food was luke-warm at best and I picked it up on time and went right home. Everyone was heating their meals in the microwave. I think many of the dishes and ingredients are being made ahead and and tossed into the plastic dishes. We're done !!!!
Wah Sing Chinese
More sour than sweet on the quart size sweet & sour chicken. Most Chinese food restaurants provide adequate sauce but every now and then I encounter a restaurant that skimps. Wah Sing unfortunately is one of them. The food wasn’t horrible.
Food is decent, typical Chinese food. A tad greasier than others. A bit pricey. My first order was a small pork fried rice and an egg roll and it was $11. My most recent order was chicken and broccoli combo (comes with PFR and egg roll) and it was $14 for a container that is a bit smaller than the usual Chinese container size. The chicken was very soft and the broccoli was very crunchy - I typically like both the broccoli and the chicken cooked more. The egg rolls were good but extra greasy. The inside dining area is not very inviting, but they take the orders fast and make the food quickly for takeout. They don't give you any sauce, noodles, fortune cookies, etc in the bag, you have to take from the counter and I think there are extra charges for some of those. In summary, it's a tad pricey for ok Chinese takeout.
Oakland Chinese
First ever review, my job decided to order lunch from this restaurant. So this was not out of my pocket. I ordered chow mein chicken and this is what I got, looks to be stripped onions, celery and chicken
We order here often on Friday’s from work. Ridiculously rude delivery driver, didn’t even get out of the car. Refused to make change for his tip and stated “This isn’t a pizza place”. I was under the impression that all delivery drivers provided change, not just pizza delivery drivers. Between the smell of smoke on my food from the chain smoking driver and the owner’s willingness to defend her rude empty, this will certainly be our last time ordering! ***after trying the white rice, to say I am disgusted is an understatement. How do you mess up white rice?!? It’s basically mush shaped as rice!!! Ewww!!! ***
Moe's Southwest Grill
The portions were tiny, barely half a scoop of meat, and definitely not worth the high price. The food was cold even though I dined in, and the chicken was gross, fatty, and completely flavorless. To make things worse, the soda machine was missing almost all of the options, with no warning when I was asked to purchase a drink cup. This is the reason everyone should just go to Chipotle. Horrible experience at Moes. This place has gone downhill.
Moe's changing corporate logo, all sites will be changing their interiors. MOE Monday's specials went up one dollar. Clean, neat site, enjoyable food. This locations hours changed: Mon - Sat 11:00 am to 8:30 pm Closed Sunday
New Asia Restaurant
I recently moved to the area and have been relying on takeout. Chinese food is my default choice when I don't feel like deciding on something else. After trying several places, I struggled to find one that nailed the fried rice. Upon my wife's recommendation (she's from the area), I decided to give this place a shot. Despite initial hesitations due to mixed reviews, the enticing pictures of their rice convinced me to take the plunge. Contrary to some negative reviews mainly focusing on customer service, my experience was excellent. Their rice was just like how I expected it. Very flavorful and rich with pork ( since I got to the pork fried rice and the beef with Chinese veggies) .The staff, particularly a young lady, provided seamless customer service. They've also streamlined the delivery process by partnering with Uber, linking your phone number for a hassle-free experience.
Some of the worst I've ever had. Lo Mein was seasoned like with garlic oil only. Everything was double fried to just burnt except the dumplings. Dumplings were flavorless. I've never thrown out Chinese leftovers before this.
Suki Hana
They give very little portions of chicken for a meal you’re paying $12 for.
Knocking off 2 stars.. the sauce is now salty instead of sweet. And by salty, i mean too much salt unfortunately. I think i will skip suki hana next time im here. This was twice in a row now that the sauce is too salty and no sweetness at all. If the owner or manager reads this, please bring back the sweet teriyaki sauce. 5/21/2022 ** end of update ** Suki Hana is a great Japanese Teriyaki chicken restaurant inside the Garden State Plaza mall. This replaces Sarku Japan's spot. The chicken is delicious and they have other menu options too. I was here on the opening day in March 2022. The employees are friendly. The prices are very good at $9 per meal with tax(no drink). The drink prices are a bit high, but thats true of the entire food court. Since this was the first day, they were a little slow at making the food. But it was worth it! The chicken tastes a little better than Sarku and is a little more sweet and a little less salty too. Pros: Yummy Teriyaki chicken! Also have beef, noodles, shrimp and other items Good drink selection Friendly employees Acceptable speed, but a bit slow on opening day Great location Plenty of seating Real plastic straws!! Cons: Slightly pricy drinks(but same with entire food court) No plastic bags(not sure why not? Othet malls have plastic bags for takeout food. Common sense)
