Wow Bao
Disappointing for Asian Cuisine After a shopping session at Water Tower Place in Chicago, I decided to stop by Wow Bao to satisfy a sudden hunger and opt for a healthy choice. Having traveled to several Asian countries and enjoyed their local cuisine, I was curious to try their food. Unfortunately, I was completely disappointed. I ordered a rice dish with fried chicken and vegetables, but it was severely lacking in flavor. The spices, which are a hallmark of Asian cuisine, were almost nonexistent. Honestly, the authenticity and richness of flavors you’d expect from Asian cuisine were missing. Asian cuisine deserves much better than this. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for authentic flavors.
If you looking for good steam buns, this is the place but the chicken teriyaki was the worst I ever had. Please take it off the menu if you cannot make it right.
China Express
The front worker was very kind and handsome. Hunka hunka! The food was very yummy and the fried chicken very crispy and flavorful. I will have to bring back all of my friends and family to come eat at this hidden gem in the getto. 10/10 certified hood classic.
The food was good. It was a very warm and welcoming place. The guy in the front was very kind and attentive to my order. 5 stars would come back.

This was my favorite spot. Now, this place is terrible. 2 weeks ago I ordered and the food was off, I gave them another chance, I know everyone is not perfect. I thought maybe the Chef was having a bad day. I ordered today, and the food was worse than 2 weeks ago. Rice felt old. Orange Chicken had a completely different taste than what it should, and I have had Orange Chicken here for the past 10 years or more. Sorry but they have lost a customer.
I was so excited to find this place close to my work bc it had good reviews and the food looked good. And then I ate and found a cockroach in my food 🤮🤢 I'll add a photo somewhere if I can
Beijing Chinese Restaurant
The staff act like antisocial awkward rude NPCs. BUT…. The food is good. Just be ready to be treated cold and straight to the point with an angry passive aggressive attitude. Just be like: “I want orange chicken” hear the price and pay and go about your day. Don’t expect a hi or welcome or thank you.
The food here is excellent. The lady in here is not very patient or friendly. She was rude , but then she had the gentleman working with her help me instead , he was very polite and patient. I had never been here before and went on a recommendation from some people in the office. Outside of the customer service aspect , the food was everything I heard it would be and more! Very tasteful and nice serving sizes.
Fung's Chop Suey
Horrible! Had it delivered which was fine. Shrimp fried rice was dried out and not even edible. Egg rolls I could not even eat. They were awful received a Pepsi rather than the diet Coke that I had ordered and paid for. I have never been this disappointed. It was my first time trying, and I regret every dollar of it. NEVER again!
The quality of the food at this restaurant has gone down so much over the years. I ordered sweet-and-sour chicken the sauce that goes with the chicken tasted like nail polish remover. The chicken was overcooked so it was hard and dry. Even the rice was questionable. I used to love coming here. I don’t know if it’s because they’re trying to run lottery at the same time cook food in between customers, but this ain’t it!!
Cai
Located on the 2nd floor in Chinatown square. Mostly we come for dimsum, however we came for dinner to celebrate a special occasion with family. We ordered many typical Cantonese style dishes. Everything was good for the dishes we ordered.
It's maybe $30-$50/per person. But I accidentally ordered too much, so it was $430 for 8 of us. Most of the food/dimsum I ordered were tasty. We like the roasted duck, dumplings, squid,.... But the Xiaolongbao was disappointed. It was too salty. I accidentally ordered too much so the staff packed the remainder into boxes to take home. However, when we got back to the hotel, we discovered that they did not give us chopsticks and dipping sauce. If you are in the same situation as us, you should tell them you want more dipping sauce and chopsticks. I think it wasn't too expensive because we packed the remaining food and brought it back to the hotel for breakfast the next day. So the 8 of us got 2 meals for $430.
Elaine's Chop Suey Restaurant
Food was great. I ordered $55 worth of food and selected the free large orange chicken. My husband gets the food and asks to make sure we have the extra one and they say yes. I go home and no extra orange chicken. I call and the lady is screaming on the phone telling me I never told her anything. I go here all the time but once I matched her energy she calmed down and told me to come pick it up. Lady on the phone needs a reality check
They use to have the best orange chicken, not anymore! Food was disgusting! I believe the owners changed and these new people are still using the name! The orange chicken I ordered today was all crusted with no chicken in it and with a super sweet brown sauce. Shrimp fried was over cooked, old, mushy and bland. The rice had no eggs & bean sprout, hardly any green onions and the tiniest shrimp. The shrimp and chicken veggie delight was also bland and not fresh. Some of the veggies were canned. The couple of shrimps were overcooked and the chicken was so soft(the way it broke apart). It was based in a beef broth which I told them no beef!!! They just serve anything and I really want a refund!!! This is the 4th time trying to post this it keep on deleting!! It won’t even allow me to post my pic and video.
Happy Cafe
There are lots of choices in the menu that would be perfect for a group to share. But there are also items good for solo eaters. Dropped in for a quick lunch and had a spicy shrimp rice bowl. Staff was very friendly. If you are looking for authentic Chinese food, you won't go wrong with this place.
Interior is unpretentious but does need to be cleaned, smudges all over had me second guessing my pick. Food was extremely flavorful and delicious I have never had anything like it!
King's Chop Suey
I ordered the sweet & sour chicken combo with shrimp fried rice along with a side of broccoli. The chicken was old & hard and barely any sauce. The rice was greasy as well. Arguably the best item was the broccoli smh. I'm not sure what happened because this used to be my spot but my last few orders have been a complete disappointment. I don't think I'll be revisiting..
Food was delicious! I had the orange chicken with combination fried rice and an egg roll. Also ordered a mango smoothie with tapioca that was amazing! Service was excellent; the lady was very welcoming and wonderful, will definitely be coming back!

Ordered from Door dash and this is the lowest quality Chinese food I've ever seen. I'm convinced they are using AI generated images of their food. The chicken soup came out NOTHING like the picture. To top it off the container was filled with mostly rice and chicken broth and was missing vegetables. See the pictures below. The nice one picture is what was advertised on doordash. Do not order from this place.
I highly recommend their fried chicken wings they was delicious also shrimp chow mein (fried noodles) and shrimp fried rice with extra green onions
New Grand Chinese Kitchen
Don't waste your money!!! Food is terrible! Old food, burnt, egg rolls are spoiled and the inside of the restaurant is dirty!! Beware of ordering online!!! Been several times I order veggie because I am allergic to seafood. They would send me something with shrimp!!! than when I called to complain they tried to put the responsibility on me to call or make a note on my order instead of making what ordered correctly and apologizing.
We order the 2 🥡and 3🥡 Combination platters/trays. Family portions every time we order. The food is always so flavorful, hot🔥 and delicious. As a mother I love how well packaged the containers are so the food does not separate. 💯 🥢🥠

I ordered egg foo young extra spicy spicy spicy and also chicken fried rice spicy there was nothing spicy about my order. I called first they said they’ll come back and get the order and fix it right then they called me back and asked me would chili oil or pepper or whatever they use would be OK and I said yes, they did not send enough for the order that I had only thing about this place that I really enjoy was the delivery driver don’t get me wrong. The flavors were there but I love my spicy if it wasn’t for Enrique, the delivery guy I would’ve been totally pissed. Thanks Enrique. Stay safe out there . I’ll give them a four out of five if my spicy was there it would’ve been 100%.
I ordered a combination rice and 2 egg rolls the egg rolls wasn’t any good they tasted spoiled and sour as if they went bad which in turn made me not want to eat the rice a complete waste of $20
