Curry NaanStop Indian Grill

117reviews

This Indian restaurant is a true gem, offering an authentic and flavorful culinary experience. The goat curry was tender and rich, bursting with perfectly balanced spices, while the chicken biryani was fragrant, hearty, and packed with flavor. The butter chicken and garlic naan complemented the meal beautifully, showcasing the variety and depth of Indian cuisine. The staff provided exceptional service, ensuring every detail of our meal was tailored to our preferences. With its warm ambiance and outstanding dishes, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Curry Naanstop, a new Indian restaurant in town, it exceeded all expectations! The menu is both expansive and innovative, offering a variety of dishes that cater to all tastes, from the familiar classics to unique regional specialties. I started with the Tikki Masla, which was bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. For the main course, I had the Butter Chicken, which was rich, creamy, and packed with aromatic spices—definitely one of the best I've had in a while. The Naan was fresh and pillowy, a perfect accompaniment to the dishes. To end the night I had Gulab Jamun, which was super sweet. What really stood out, though, was the exceptional service. The staff was super attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food they serve. Overall, Curry Naanstop is a fantastic addition to the local food scene. Whether you're a seasoned Indian food lover or new to the cuisine, I highly recommend checking it out. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of their menu!

Asian Noodle House-亚洲面条

Nothing fancy with reasonable prices. A great mom and pop restaurant with friendly attentive service. Water were offered once we seated, food arrives shortly after placed our orders. Spring rolls were good. Chinese broccoli crispy garlics oyster sauce were tender with freshly crisp. Weekend special Bak Kut Teh w/ mild herbal flavor and thick broth, fall off bone ribs w/fried dough. Interesting taste, but good. Chicken was overcooked with generous portions of flavor rice and dipping sauce . Chunky Beef stew wasn’t much of flavor other than slightly salty to me. Mild broth of the noodle soup with perfectly cooked noodles. I highly recommend Bak Kut Teh soup.

We are really surprised by the price and food they offer. It is hard to find dishes below $10 in downtown Chicago but this one offers great value and a lot of dishes are like 8-9. In addition to that, the flavor is great, authentic Malaysian flavors.

Joy Teriyaki

I cannot believe it’s taken this long to find this place but it finally happened! I’ve been to this place twice this week because I was really surprised with the flavorful chicken teriyaki. I have to say that the chicken yakisoba is definitely my favorite!! Everything in it is so delicious and fresh. The portions are generous so you’ll have some to take home. I always do 🙂 I will be definitely be back to keep trying everything else in the menu (if I ever get tired of the yakisoba 😋)

The kind of quick and tasty Asian place I love -- a generous portion of meat piled on top of rice and veggies. The lunch meals are pretty good deal, though I wish they came with a drink.

Great food! My favorite were the szechuan soup dumplings, an absolutely must try! Definitely check out the dry chili chicken as well.

1. ⚠️The food is served in an unsanitary environment. There were foreign particles floating in the water that just been brought to us, and the cup for my alcoholic drink had mysterious white residue on it. When I asked the staff what it was, they couldn’t answer and simply said it was safe to drink. The manager eventually apologized, saying that they had mistakenly used the cup that had been used elsewhere, which made me even more uncomfortable. It makes me wonder how they manage their utensils. 2. There is a serious communication barrier with the staff. I don’t expect the waiter to speak perfect English, but basic communication should be possible. When I complained about the residue on my cup, the waiter mumbled and couldn’t explain what it was. He just kept repeating that it was safe to drink. 3. The taste of the dim sum is significantly worse than that of nearby dim sum restaurants. The shrimp and pork in the dim sum had no flavor whatsoever. The ingredients didn’t seem fresh, and it’s clear that this restaurant does not invest in quality ingredients.

THAI GARDEN

We came hungry and ate family style, ordered the Satay Chicken, Crab Rangoon, Cucumber salad, and Chicken Egg Rolls to start; all was delicious and we definitely worked up an appetite! As our main dishes we really enjoyed the Pad Si-ew, Tom Yum vegetable soup (my favorite!), and the Panang curry! The environment is welcoming, nicely decorated, great service, and smiles all around. A yummy dinner before a Friday evening movie night with the family, there’s an AMC right nearby!

Whoever makes the egg rolls has the hands of an angel. Egg rolls are the best, so crispy I could eat 20 of them in one sitting. Curry fried rice with pineapple is also super good, portions are so good. I’ll eat half at night and then half before the gym the next day and the carbs mixed with the amount of protein works wonders. Whoever makes the curry fried rice, give them a kiss for me, same with whoever makes the egg rolls. Thank you

House of Pho

My lunch is ordered through Uber Eats. I am really impressive because it spend more than 30 minutes to deliver but it’s still tasty. My Pho is regular but looks like large one and lots of vegetables provided as you can check from the pictures. So I divide into two portions and heat it via microwave again. I would like to say it’s really delicious. I also order a sandwich as a late-night snack which is flavorful too.

Amazing food however upsetting that they changed their menu. We used to be frequent diners however the changes began to be the change to frequent. This place used to make the BEST Pad Thai and took it off the menu. As for the rest of the current menu it’s still delicious however new management and smaller portions have lead to make the past few dine in’s and to go’s feel less enjoyable. Biggest recommendation is pay closer attention to the cleanliness of the bathrooms.

I recently ordered catering for a party of 50 people and was thoroughly impressed with the quality and service. The vegetarian menu was exceptionally well-prepared, offering a wide variety of flavorful dishes that catered to every taste. From the vibrant starters to the hearty main courses and decadent desserts, everything was fresh and beautifully presented. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, earning compliments from all my guests—even the non-vegetarians in the group! The portions were generous, and the team ensured the food was delivered on time and at the perfect temperature. Their attention to detail and professionalism made the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend this catering service for anyone looking for outstanding vegetarian food for any occasion. They truly exceeded my expectations!

I have been eating there for the last 14 months and have never experienced anything but excellent food and great dine in service. When I request my food extra spicy (like Thai places over the Lincoln tunnel) I get exactly what I asked for. Also, they have the best food I've eaten in all of North Chicago. I recommend either the lamb or goat curry.

bb.q Chicken Rolling Meadows

The crispy texture and the flavorful seasoning of the chicken are out of this world! Even my friend, who’s not usually a fan of chicken, loved it. On top of that, the owner was incredibly kind, making the experience even better. If you’re a chicken lover, this place is a must-try!

It's not often, but every couple of months I go to this store. It's a local store with friendly, intimate service. However, the marinated chicken I picked up last week was not properly coated with sauce. I ordered the original and marinated at the same time, so I noticed the difference even more. The seasoning was not evenly applied and it looks like they just threw it on as if it was a bother. Anyone who receives chicken like this will never order seasoned chicken again. The kitchen seems to be less friendly than the person working in the hall.

Asian Island

Dont buy Naan from here to go. It is so small . Two bites Naan and price is same as Regular Naan. Food is not that great also, seems very old food sitting for few days or weeks. Not sure about Grocery prices

I don't understand why people are writing bad reviews on this place, to be honest I came to this store recently a little scared by the reviews. I thought the food and service was going to be bad but turns out very lovely and welcoming people were there to serve me. I ordered a goat biryani and a chicken 65, it took a bit of time to get ready but the quality of food was amazing. reasonable pricing as well. This is proof that recent reviews are just fake people that don't have a life are trying to bring good businesses down. "very bad couple runs business and don't be fooled by fake 5 star reviews" well I can very much tell you that this 5 Star review is VERY real. I don't get why people are negative in this world, this small store deserves more recognition. Try new things out, don't be afraid of fake 1 star reviews.

India Foodie Lounge

Nice food and decent choice. Loved the food and drinks. We ordered chicken tikka and veggie pakora. Tikka was spiced up really nicely. Loved the food - Garlic naan, onion Kulcha, chicken curry etc - all were cooked nicely with right level of spices. I have been to India foodie lounge in Bartlet and that was little different with some curries offered in clay pots with lids closed with clay top and tightened with a piece of naan bread. Looks interesting. Not sure they offer here as well. Overall food taste was fantastic in palatine location.

Our party of 3 had a delicious weeknight dinner here and I'll go with 4.5 rounded up to 5 stars. They have a nice corner strip mall location and an open and spacious though somewhat plainish interior. Naga, who is the operating partner here, was our welcoming server and his wife was the chef, so it's a homey and authentic mom and pop operation. We ordered the following: - Tandoori mixed grill which included tandoori chicken, a unique cilantro chicken, and shrimp ($25). The cilantro chicken was moist and delicious and had a bright green color from the cilantro. - Chicken tikka masala, $18. Delicious, but the accompanying white rice was on small side. - Vegetable biryani, $13. This was a particularly generous serving. - Garlic naan, $4 - Onion kulcha (pita bread like), $5 - Kingfisher beer, $6. All in all, we were very happy with our meal and it was a comfortable place to eat at a leisurely pace. The food came out a little on the slow side, but it did start getting busy for the lone chef just as we ordered, and we were in no hurry. Highly recommended, and I hope to return someday to try some other dishes.

Shakou Restaurants

Probably the best sushi that we have had in the Chicago area! This restaurant is huge with two floors of indoor seating, two bars, and a roof deck where you can sit while you watch the sunset. The service was very good and friendly. We were happy with the menu, which includes many good vegetarian options. We had the special spicy tuna and eel/scallop rolls, and they were both absolutely delicious. My wife had the seaweed salad, and it was a larger portion than what is usually served at Japanese restaurants. Prices were moderate, and probably lower than expected for such amazing food and ambiance. We will definitely return here again sometime soon!

Very, very impressed by management. We had 7pm reservations mid week for the rooftop for 3 people. When we arrived, they said our table would be ready in a few minutes. 20 min later, they said it was ready and we could head up. When we got upstairs, someone else was at our table and it would be more of a wait. The manager came over and asked us to wait at the bar having drinks and appetizers on him. We got our table about 5-10 minutes later. Great sushi and service from our waitress. Then a desert was delivered as an additional apology from the manager. They went above and beyond to make things right and it was very appreciated!
