Hoe Toy Chop Suey
I purchased some food 1/3/2025 at 3 o’clock in the afternoon chicken lo mein and veggie egg-rolls. I have been sick for 24 hours. It was the worst food I ever tasted. My stomach is still hurting right now while I’m writing this text.
I ordered food through Uber eats and was totally disappointed. Not with Uber but with this restaurant. The Mongolian beef had jalapeño pepper slices added instead of the traditional small red peppers. The dish was Horrible. The sweet and sour shrimp had so much breading on them which was over cooked. After peeling off the breading, all of the shrimp was shriveled, dried out small pieces. The combination fried rice I had to tolerate because I was hungry and needed to eat something after a hard day’s work. I’d rate it a 2/10. The only thing that was good was the crab Rangoon and the bottle of sweet and sour sauce I ordered to keep in my house. Terribly disappointing. Would never eat or order from there ever nor will I recommend this place.
Thai 55 Restaurant
I honestly can’t rate as I ordered from them through Ubereats for the first time today. But I can tell you I was very happy with the deal. They have a promo on ubereats buy one get one free for both the fried rice and potstickers . The fried rice was delicious the shrimp ratio to rice was overly generous. The only thing was for some reason although the fried rice came at a ready to eat temperature; I had to reheat the potstickers they were cold but once heated up they were also very tasty. I do plan on ordering from that again and trying different dishes. Hopefully my potstickers will come warm next time because they were yummy!
The reviews have always said this place is not the best. My guy decided to order anyway. I ordered the Pineapple Fried Rice and Crab Rangoon. 1st it would be nice if they put a description of what's in the rice. Once I saw the rice, it had peas, green beans, and cashews... all ingredients I would have removed. You never know if someone has a nut allergy or can't have high fiber vegetables. However, there was no description or options to select of deselect ingredients in the rice. Nonetheless, I took my first bite....BLAND!! No flavor! I knew in that moment that I should have listened to the reviews. This place needs some help in the kitchen. Rice always needs flavor because it has none. I'm disappointed because this was a late night order, nothing else, that is healthy, is opened. Never again Thai 55! You all need to correct your food asap. The Crab Rangoon was just okay. I can see why it's buy 1 get 1.
Subway
This man literally kept pouring the old vegetables in the new vegetable bin when i walked in for service. He had me waiting a total of 8 minutes before i just walked out without service.
The girl in there is very rude. She waited until I was leaving out to complain about my 2 yr old leaving a mess. It is their job to clean up. We threw away napkins. Shouldn't have to wipe table too. Bathroom was filthy with urine all over the toilet and floor, so we couldn't use the bathroom. Food wasn't warm either.
See Thru Chinese Kitchen
This place has changed a lot. I came a year ago and it was delicious to eat here. Today I ordered a rice combined with chicken, pork and shrimp to take away and I had to go back to the store and show them what they gave me a box full of pure rice had no chicken or pork or shrimp. For God's sake, I wouldn't go back here.
Since a drive past this place a lot, I wanted to try them for the first time. and I had a taste for chinese food! NASTY GROSS TERRIBLE!! I wasted 30 bucks here!! They fried rice nasty only had shrimp and rice tasteless! and not to mentioned they sweet and sour chicken gross! chicken chucks were not cooked properly! Egg rolls nasty! I threw all my food in the garbarge mas as ever! I will never go here EVER! Don't waste your money like I did!
Chen's House
Not sure why the lower ratings. I have never had any issues with this place and have been going here for at least 10 years. The smoothies are great, everything's fresh and flavorful. Kung Pao, bourbon/orange chicken, beef fried rice and whatever else I'm currently forgetting. You can tell everything's fresh made because there are variations to the ingredients, but ultimately it's all the same.
Rude driver, expensive food, drivers BEG FOR TIPS AFTER YOU ALREADY PAY THE DELIVERY FEE, tip is extra and by choice and if you have the extra funds to give. It is not mandatory and tell that to your drivers ,so I WILL NEVER ORDER HERE AGAIN. In my line of work I get tips But IM NOT ALLOWED TO ASK FOR ONE... And the Food is terrible. IL stick with my first choice next time. They're drivers are Soooo nice and polite and deserving of a good tip ..
Wing's China Palace
The fried rice is good. I ordered orange chicken, egg foo young, and sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was super dry and overcooked, the sauce really didn't help it. I was so hungry and looked forward to my portions, however I was highly disappointed. The egg foo young was tough but the gravy was good. My kids enjoyed the food but I unfortunately will not be back. Everyone's taste buds are different. The atmosphere is nice and so are the people. Still try them, you might like it, it's just not for me .
Love this location! Been our first choice for 20 years!
China Garden Restaurant
I have been getting food from China Garden for over 10 years and they do not miss!!!! The food is always hot and fresh. The staff is also very friendly. I just tried their smoothies recently and they are so good.
My order was completely wrong. See photos of what was ordered and what was picked up. And they charged me $22 instead of $16.50. That's my fault for not checking
Skylake Chinese Kitchen
You know a restaurant is bad when you have to go out of your way to improve their recipes. This is your typical hood Chinese restaurant so expect cheap food at high volumes. As always I have to note that there's a reason these places can do this. They most likely buy old frozen meat on the verge of expiration or "technically expired on that day" for pennies with the intention of getting it out the door quickly. The interior I noted might seem clean, but there's noticeable cobwebs everywhere. It wouldn't be that hard to just vacuum the waiting area every once in awhile and I never understand the reason why these places almost never do it. At least there's plenty of chairs and even tables if someone wants to set them up and eat inside (although I somehow doubt they intend to let people eat inside so it may be a relic of the past.) I ordered my usual test of orange chicken lunch special. The cashier didn't say much and when they did I couldn't understand a word they said. They got my order out within 10 minutes. As I started making my way out some bum attempted to block the doorway and beg for money despite the obvious "No soliciting sign." I don't know who he thought he was trying to intimidate because he would've just ended up at Roseland Community Hospital across the street. Luckily he ended up making the right decision & backing off. Looks wise you can tell they fried the chicken extremely hard. They either overcooked it by accident or were intentionally trying to hide the taste of expired food. The end result were literal bricks of chicken that the meager plastic fork they included couldn't even pierce. Not to mention the chicken was of course dry. The orange sauce is ok, but rather mild. They put just the right amount of sauce so that it doesn't spill yet it still covers all of the chicken. The shrimp fried rice itself was way blander than I'm used to. You don't even taste the soy sauce. They also skimped out majorly on the shrimp since there was only a few pieces for these huge mounds of rice. I was so disappointed that I tried saving the rice by refrying it with more soy sauce and adding toasted sesame seed oil, oyster sauce, carrots, green onions, bok choy, etc. It ended up being much better than what they sold me otherwise the original dish most likely would've ended up in the trash.
The rice tasted stale and had no flavor. I had to drown it with soy sauce. The shrimp fried rice should’ve been called just rice because I had less than 12 shrimps in my rice. Also they didn’t have any eggs in the rice. The chicken wings were cut in half to make 6 pieces. This was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had.
Two Volcano Seafood Boil Buffet
Quite a fascinating and large mix of foods on offer. Everything I ate was great except the egg rolls, which were tasteless. Excellent, prompt service for sodas (included) and ice cream (both included in the upfront price). Huge negative is styrofoam plates and plastic utensils. 😲👎👎 But I did discover there are real plates at the hibachi grill. If I come again, I'll have to bring my own silverware.
I liked this place. $20 a person. $12 - 13 for kids. The food was decent. They have a hibachi line where u can choose noodles, rice, and veggies to build ur stir fry. The sushi was tasty and well prepared. I was impressed. They have party spaces for lease. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Staff was nice and attentive. I recommend. Super clean and the food came out fresh periodically. I'll go back. Takeout is available but they charge by the pound.
China House Restaurant
Crab Rangoon was good first 2 times. Along with pot stickers and fried rice. Got orange chicken next time and it was less than sub par. Crab Rangoon again and I felt sick from the whole oder. Won't back
This food is great! I always get the Crab Ragoon and Chicken Lo Mein. The only thing I wish they had was Red Sweet Sauce. But I just make sure to keep my own at home for that. Other than that the food here is phenomenal!
Nadia Fish & Chicken
I placed an order to deliver, and they canceled the order after 30mins. Prolly cause they didn't feel like leaving. I've never had them, and I ain't missing anything. I hate wasting my time at ghetto places.
Reaally good food. Guy said he was having trouble with the online services so had to call after having an order canceled. It was fine. This ketchup is SO GOOD. Also really good fries. I got a gym shoe and it was delicious. Chicken burger was good too.
South China Kitchen
Freezing in the lobby..I also asked why my order for a large rice and extra egg came to 22.00 ..it was never shown on my receipt. Just the amount owed..You should lways know what you're paying for..so They charged me $4.00 for exra egg. I understand prices going up..but that ridiculous price gouging People please be aware of who you spend your hard earned money with in your neighborhood
Came here last year for Thanksgiving. Now here for Christmas and the New Year. The egg foo young was burnt and not enough egg. Way to many bean sprouts. I love the rice. Please two years in a row same thing. More egg and less bean sprouts.
