Panda Express
The girl at the front, I believe her name is Jimenaz has a horrible look. The whole time ordering food she gave me such a weird creepy stare that I regretted ordering. I wish they gave me more food also as it was not even a real meal for me. I remember that they use to give out more food than what they do now, and yet the prices are up more and they still give you very little. I would avoid this place for now. This place shouldn’t be that stingy.
3/5 just because lately….the young women that work there don’t seem to care. I went for a pickup and my order wasn’t even ready considering I arrived a little late anyways. One girl had told me I had to wait 5 minutes for the rice….I waited and I wasn’t paying attention but the few time I looked up she kept looking. Turns out it’s because she knowingly didn’t put the white rice in my bowl. If I had to wait longer, she could’ve said so. It was disappointing and ruined my appetite. Other than that, there is many times I’ve ordered here and I have gotten what I asked for. On time or not, the food is always cooked well and package well.
Panda Express
My wife just bought two entree dinners and while the food tastes great they served a mountain of rice with 3 pieces of steak from beef broccoli in mine (two in hers) and then 4 pieces of orange chicken which is ridiculous and a con. And half the rice is inedible it’s like a rock
I recently had some rather bad news (medical) and the here staff were so nice to me. It sounds like such a small thing, but they really made my day a little more pleasant, and I'm happy to add that the restaurant is always clean whenever I drop by!
Wing Wah Restaurant Chinese
Wing Wah must have gotten new owners because everything i ordered that I've been ordering for years ALL tastes different and nasty!!! Everything tasted like cinnamon! The egg rolls, egg foo young and fried rice all tasted like it had cinnamon in it. Definitely not the same food and the original lady that is always there was not there when i went there to pick up. Awful, absolutely awful tasting food!
Well I've been buying the food in this place over 20 years. Always been good. . Now they got a new owners but the food is still good so definitely recommend and really nice new owners
Panda Express
Always great and fast service. We have tried different things at different times. Their orange chicken is our favorite. No vegetarian option. You would have to get a side of chow mein or fried rice or spring roll. No protein like tofu. I wish they added at least one veg dish.
This Panda Express has been a very pleasant experience visiting it. The manager Shechora, has provided me with excellent and friendly customer service and the food was delicious and yummy. I would recommend you visit this Panda Express location over others in the area. I would come back based on customer service alone and the restaurant cleanliness as well.
Fon Fon Chinese Cuisine
For my first time, eating there and spending over $100 the food wasn’t all that the rice was dry. The eggrolls are super small. There was only a few pieces of shrimp in the shrimp fried rice and the crab Rangoon was a very thin spread.
If I could give this food zero stars I would. The rice was bland. The shrimp egg foo young was old and the gravy was dark brown. Also no flavor. A waste of time and money.
Sky Chop Suey
All the other times I've ordered here the food was good but last night it was HORRIBLE. THEY REHEATED OLD FOOD FOR MY ORDER. The sesame chicken was old & when I chewed it, it turned into hard shreds inside my mouth *see photos*. The fried shrimp was old, hard & the shrimp were dried out from reheating. You only have to get me ONCE..........I WILL NEVER EVER NEVER SET FOOT INSIDE THIS PLACE NOR ORDER ANYTHING FROM THERE EVER AGAIN. And if anybody ask me to recommend a good Chinese food restaurant......it sure won't be this 1. How awful do you have to be to charge someone $34 for old reheated food, pretty DESPICABLE 🤬 I should report them to the BBB & the city inspectors.
This place is amazing! The food is amazing. I got the Hawaiian fried rice it comes with pineapple, shrimp, chicken and mushrooms and it’s honestly the best rice I’ve ever tasted. It’s very flavorful and everything is very fresh. The atmosphere was good. They were a bit busy so the customer service was lacking but overall I’ll give five stars I will be a permanent customer.
Seashell Restaurant on 69th
The employees are rude and their portion sizes for fries are horrible I paid $50 for chicken and the fries were barely enough to feed 2-3 people. When I came back to ask about it the worker ignored me then when she finally came she was rude and just brushed it off and said that this is their extra large fries I won’t be back here
Pretty good fast food. Mainly cooked to order. Fish or chicken is not greasy. Newly remodeled inside this week with more space to sit and eat. Lots of parking. I am not paid to give good or bad reviews by Google or franchise.
Oriental Chop Suey
Orange chicken - Price - $10.85 for lunch special comes with a large amount of orange chicken as well as a huge amount of chicken fried rice no pop and but it has an egg roll. 4.5/5 Presentation - Beautifully glazed chicken nice and moist almost gets into orange sponge territory but it's definitely not that. Fried rice has printed plenty of veggies they didn't overdo the soy sauce it's got eggs scallions onions you name it beautiful. 5/5 Taste - Chicken is drenched in orange sauce, tender, juicy & perfectly cooked. Would've loved if they fried it a little harder to get out of sponge territory, but fantastic none the less. You can actually taste the oranges in the sauce unlike the cheap ones where they use General Tso's sauce & just shred some orange peels into it. Chicken friend rice has a tremendous amount of flavor, but you can definitely taste the oil. Nice size chunks of chicken but rather sparse. Compliments the orange chicken perfectly. I literally don't want to stop. 5/5 Mongolian Beef - Price - Same as orange chicken. Higher cost than standard, but tremendous value for price. Presentation space - Tremendous. Tons of veggies onions peppers celery on top of the beef just a giant mound. Rice also looks amazing but a little dry. 4.5/5 Taste - amazing truly amazing. Beef is perfectly seasoned they had five levels of spice. I chose medium spice and they get it perfect not too hot not too mild just right in the middle. I've honestly never seen it done like this before. The mound of vegetables along with the mound of meat are just fantastic. the sauce is mild and soaked into the tender meat 5/5 Egg roll - A fat boy! Nice & chunky. Packed with meat & value. Great flavor & way to end the meal. 5/5 Sweet & sour chicken - Price - great value for the price. Presentation - sauce on side. Nice clean and Neat. 4/5 Taste - Perfection. Perfectly cooked, oiled & seasoned. I want to bottle this sauce for my own. 5/5 Chicken fried rice - Superb beautiful, perfection. Everything you want in rice, the classic fried rice we deserve. Shrimp egg foo young - Price - great value Presentation - lots of gravy, lots large proportions 4/5 Taste - Ed could use a little bit more seasoning but overall everything is just perfection. The egg is warm in the middle. Lots of indifferent ingredients just combine into just a great egg foo young. Just could use a little bit more salt and a little bit more pepper. 4/5 Thai noodles combination - Price - $14 is kind of pricey considering it's just noodles and meat. What makes it great is that there's tons of meat with nice big chunks and it fills you up. 5/5 Presentation - Enormous chunks of meat. And a great helping. The slightly pinkish tinge everything has is kind of off-putting. Noodles are a bit too overcooked (soft.) 3/5 Taste - Not getting any ground peanut or lemon taste. Tamarind sauce could use some work in order to bring out the flavor more. Everything like always is perfectly cooked with the chicken being grilled as well. Flavor city from everything. 4/5 Crab rangoon - Hands down the BEST cran rangoon I've ever had. Perfect golden brown would seemingly real crab. Excellent blend of sweet & sour 5/5 Overall, Oriental chop suey is one of those hidden gems in the hood that a lot of people will miss. the food is just fantastic some of the best Chinese food I've come across in Chicago. The prices are a little bit above average but it could just be the the price difference on Uber Eats that they're accounting for. Nonetheless it is worth it. Presentation is great everything that is packed nice and tight and neat the egg rolls are seemingly handmade and packed with a ton of ingredients everything is perfectly cooked. And most of all it fills you up! 4.5 out of 5 stars
So after reading reviews I was reluctant to eat here but it was on my way to the house and it was getting late and there was no line inside so I decided to go for it. They have a very extensive menu so I took a while to decide and prices were great. I decided to NOT take a chance and just order Jumbo shrimp fried rice. I ordered large and it was a good size. I also ordered a veggie egg roll. It was ready in 15mins and the restaurant looked clean. **Drum Roll** it was delicious! And it was a lot of shrimp and it was clean shrimp. I was so happy. I will go back and order different dishes Excited to have a new place to try.
Panda Express
Got the bigger plate with a double orange chicken and teriyaki chicken with chow mein. Generous portion sizes for the cost, and the taste is absolutely delicious. The worst thing about picking up food from panda is the drive home, a 15 minute drive home with the fumes coming off that orange chicken is dangerous!
Food was made to perfection and the staff was very attentive and welcoming!!! First time to this new spot and I will make the drive to come here again!! Staff works together well even with irate customers along the way. Cooks delivered food very fast and the servers were all beautiful and we were greeted and tended to top tier! 😋🩷🔥
See Thru Chinese Kitchen
I always came here every week, have known the owner 12 yra.from their original on 87th and Dan Ryan However, my Cantonese fried shrimp were burnt and they refused to take them and make more. I went back and forth and then cancel my order. These people can take Black communities money but never want to address our concerns. I'm done 225 yr.customer and I have told all my hospital coworkers not to come here anymore.
This by far has to be some of the absolute worst food I’ve ever had. I ordered Black Pepper Steak, Shrimp Fried Rice, and Crab Rangoon. The Black Pepper Steak looked and tasted like it was cooked in ketchup. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice looked as if the were precooked salad shrimp (honestly kinda looked like an Apple Jack cereal) and the rice was hard and flavorless. Can’t tell you all about the crab Rangoon because I gave up😒🙄😒
Lotus Chop Suey
It's too much going on surrounding this place. I have been eating here since I was a kid. The food is so good. If only they could be in a better area like 83 or 87, they would get move business . But I don't care they got the best food ever
Born and raise around this place. 15 years ago this place was okay but now the only thing I would order from here is a sweet tea and to be honest I probably would be a little worried about ordering that, no way I would eat from here and if you eat from here than you nasty! My little dog eat damn near anything I eat, but for some odd reason he won't eat from here, I wonder why. 🙄🤔
Grand Chinese Kitchen
The guy that took my order was very rude, unpleasant and disrespectful. My shrimp fried rice was burnt, the veggie rice was burnt, egg Foo Young was descent the only thing that was good was the shrimp egg roll. Will never go back there just to be treated like that and I'm spending my money and be mindful they only take cash....I paid cash for trash!!!!
Have been supporting this place for a long time prices have increased which is understandable. The food has fell off with taste and looks as if something has been thrown together. My issues tonight was a lady ask if I could help she was hungry I did and stated to the order taker that orders are separate but being paid for together now this visit can be long but to shorten this she totaled the order gave one price then as being given the money she say it's more money with an attitude that being said I asked but what or how did you add up the order when being told payment is for both orders. Well you can imagine it was a back and forth thing but they have lost this customer I wii go all the way to China Town before every coming back here. And last but not least when you see a well astablisted place and now it's almost empty this should say something about what's going on now 🤔.
