New Bamboo
What does it mean if you get a fortune cookie with no fortune in it . If you're heading from the Honeymoon Island State Park take a left into the parking lot at the intersection of Alt 19 and Causeway Boulevard. The Szechuan chicken dinner was fresh delicious and hot when I got it back to my home. The egg roll was also hot and perfectly cooked. The staff was friendly courteous and efficient
I ordered the chicken with vegetables and white rice. There was a large selection of fried rice types as upgrade options. The vegetables are broccoli, celery, pea pods, baby corn with a little red bell pepper, carrot and mushroom. They appeared fairly fresh and the broccoli was crisp. The sauce the chicken and vegetables complimented the dish rather than over power like some places. I very much enjoyed all of it and will come back here to try other dishes. My wife had Moo Shu Chicken and it came with a Ziploc of 4 wraps. She said it tasted very good.
Wong Lee's Chinese Cuisine
In town for a few weeks, residing in the Cozy Cottage in Passe A Grill St. Petersburg FL…when my urge for Chinese food kept me searching to fill my hunger, Wong Lee Chinese Cuisine was the answer! I ordered off the menu, actually, Shrimp Egg Foo Young and their Special House Fried Rice. I was about six miles away but was worth the drive! Give it a try, I did!
The best little take-out restaurant, and the true definition of "mom and pop shop." Run by a couple for the past 37 years, they treat you like family every time you come in. Lots of healthy options. The best part–the prices are incredibly affordable. They should really be charging more for the value they offer. A hidden gem in St. Petersburg. Highly recommend!
Asian Wok
Everybody has their hole in the wall place for americanized chinese food and this is mine. I’ve been going here since I was little and one of the men working behind the counter was a teenager. We’ve moved all around St. Pete yet still make the voyage over here whenever we want chinese takeout because it’s that good. My family quite literally won’t get takeout chinese elsewhere. We always get a lo mein, bourbon chicken, crab rangoon, and general tsos. They are consistently good and I can’t tell you the last time they’ve messed up our order or given us less than ideal food. The food and menu hasn’t changed over the years and neither has the quality. I know the place only had 4 stars, but I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will defend it to anyone. This place is a staple in my family’s life and honestly of my childhood. The food itself is always hot and sizable portions for how much you pay. I’ve never had undercooked chicken or lo mein. The bourbon chicken is my absolute favorite and is always perfectly charred and seasoned. The general tsos is always good and never too saucy.
First time having Chinese food during the pandemic. Was very clean and they weren’t letting any customers into the restaurant which I liked. You just pick up at the window. The ingredients were fresh and the food was tasty. Love the food containers they use as well. Nothing cheap. Didn’t mess anything up on the order and gave lots of condiments as well. Will definitely come back!
China 88
Very friendly service. Ordered online and food was timely. Unfortunately, the food was not to our liking. Large portion of honey chicken was soggy, fatty and very sugary. Sweet and sour soup tastes like straight pepper. Yellow shrimp fried rice not appetizing. General TSO chicken is very sweet and sugary, not spicy as requested. Rolls and wontons were fried to a crisp. Overall, disappointed we spent $40+ on food that just isn’t good. This is not authentic as advertised. American Chinese fast food at best. Salty, sugary and lots of dough used.
The staff was very attentive and helpful with menu recommendations, Also Great quality food at a reasonable price. would definitely recommend!
China 1
They have changed the size of their containers! A pint of vegetable lo mein came in a 5x1 inch container. This is not a pint! And 3 slices of broccoli! Sadly you’ve lost a customer. Money is tight for everyone and you shouldn’t. e ripping us off
The food was horrible no taste and bland. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy. The food portion was laughable and over priced. I ordered orange chicken and yellow fried rice and paid $9.85. The orange chicken had more flour and bread in it the chicken.
China House
Ordered on uber eats. One of the dishes were not correct. As i am now eating that incorrect dish (i ordered chicken chow mein, got chicken and cabbage. No ricenor fried noodles with it) i chomped down on this piece of plastic and was wedge between my molars. Now i dont like hating on places for this just wanna throw out to be careful with what you eat.
I specifically order no mushrooms tell thrm we are allergic n he repeated order twice n still gave me fawking mushrooms Bsffr never again I was a regular im just over constant nonsense
China Express
Absolutely the best house special fried rice I've ever had, it was loaded with excellent shrimp, chicken and pork and fast friendly service. Very surprised about some of the negative reviews, I will definitely be back to try some other things on the menu
Good prices and they always make delicious food! It's cute that they put extras when you buy so much like spring rolls or general tso chicken! Always our Chinese go to spot 😋😋
Saki Endless Sushi & Hibachi
This all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi spot unfortunately falls short of expectations. The food quality is underwhelming, with bland and uninspired flavors. The sushi, in particular, suffers from thin slices of fish, lacking the richness and freshness you'd hope for. Service was equally lackluster. My server was unfriendly and inattentive, leaving empty plates piled on our table and rarely checking in. The only saving grace is the price. For an all-you-can-eat establishment, the value is decent, though it certainly doesn't justify the mediocre quality. If you are a sushi lover, I'd recommend exploring other options for a more satisfying and enjoyable dining experience.
I always enjoy coming here! The food is great and usually comes out fairly quickly. They even have a few desert options to choose from that are included with the all- you- can eat option. They have a large variety of drinks available but alcohol and non-alcoholic. It's good for two people or a whole party.
McDonald's
Sad place actually. I haven't been to a McDonald's in a long time but took my grandson there for lunch, thought we'd sit outside but there was no outside area to sit. We went inside to the empty dining area ...gone are the drink machine, napkins, utensils and staff. Order from a machine and they'll bring you your food....yikes!! McDonald's has become a drive through only.
I made two orders. The first one was issued normally. But the second order was said to be unpaid. But the money was written off from the card. And since their terminals are not working, they did not give me a receipt.! And the head manager said that it would be at his expense. I was very unhappy. I will not come here again. And in general, I do not want to go to McDonald's anymore. Not recommended.
Great Wall 2
Save your money! The pork lo Mein tasted off, the crab ragoon had a very sm amount of filling, less than 1/2 tsp, egg rolls were the size of spring rolls- We ordered & waited at the restaurant & it was made in about 6 min. Which is probably a record breaker lol I've never gotten Chinese THAT fast.🤔
Absolutely nothing is homemade. My guess is everything they "cooked" for us came in a freezer bag and was dumped into a deep fryer. They claim to have a "jumbo" shrimp dinner. The shrimp that came were small to medium sized shrimp. These are clearly the pre-frozen butterfly packaged shrimp you can buy in the grocery store. This is an embarrassment for a restaurant that operates in Florida less than a mile from the ocean. The crab Rangoon half squares are clearly died yellow and likely came from a freezer bag. The fried rice also has an eerie unnatural hue. Even the egg drop soup seems to be dyed yellow. The sweet and sour chicken had about 8 to 10 small pieces total. In the picture you can see all the food ordered. This cost us $51 with tip and delivery. This was enough food to feed about two hungry people. So if you're looking to spend $31 a person to get disgusting pre-frozen Chinese food, this is your place. If you have respect for your wallet and health, get real Chinese food somewhere else.
China 1
Unfortunately, the House Special Fried Rice and House Special Lo Mein at China 1 were not up to par. The flavors were bland and the textures were off. I would not recommend these dishes to anyone. Here are some other things to consider when deciding whether or not to eat at China 1: * The restaurant has an average rating of 3.2 stars on Google Maps. * There are no reviews for the House Special Fried Rice or House Special Lo Mein on Google Maps. * The restaurant is open for takeout and delivery only. Overall, I would not recommend China 1 for Chinese food. There are many other great Chinese restaurants in St. Petersburg that offer better quality food.
Do yourself a favor don't order from them find another place and you will thank me. I ordered boneless ribs ,egg roll ,spring rolls, crab ragoo and general chow chicken. We couldn't eat anything the worce iv ever had. What a waste of time and money. Never again. The best place to get Chinese food their closed for the next month (Asian Wok) next to Publix
Spring Gardens
Absolutely the worst chines food I've ever had. Not only did they show up over an hour and a half late, the food was cold and tasted like it was made three days ago. We couldn't even eat it. The lady who answered the phone argued with me about me wanting a refund for almost 20 minutes. They could only give a small refund back. NEVER AGAIN!!! STAY AWAY!!!!
This place is absolutely terrible do yourself a favor and do not eat here! We ordered the general tso chicken dinner combination and the bourbon chicken dinner combination and when we got home to St Pete Beach a 20 minute drive mind you and we went to eat our food it tasted rotten everything looked Gray. not the right color it tasted like it's been sitting out for days my dog wouldn't even eat it. I called them and asked if we could just get our money back and explained what was going on and they told me if I could make it back and bring the food they would give me my $20 back I told him I lived in St Pete Beach and it would take me at least 20 to 25 minutes to get there they insisted that I do not put it in the fridge and wait till the next morning that I needed to bring it back the night of so instead of coming in and wasting gas I went ahead and wanted to post this negative review you can look at the photos and see that something is off about this food we threw the food out I felt sick immediately. If I could give this a negative 10 Stars I would.
