If you’re a fan of spicy food, this place is a must-visit! The Sichuan dishes here are absolutely incredible – packed with bold flavors, numbing spice, and just the right amount of heat. Every bite was bursting with that signature Sichuan kick. I especially loved how authentic everything tasted – it’s the kind of food that makes you sweat a little, but you can’t stop eating. Highly recommend for anyone who loves real, flavorful Chinese cuisine!

So yummy! This restaurant, recommended by a friend, was truly a delight! The menu is very diverse and the food is just too good! The stir-fried green peppers with baked skin is especially delicious!

Invited by a friend, we were there at around 2pm to have late lunch, yet we still waited for about 5m for a table. This place is so popular that by 4:30pm there were already ppl lining up waiting outside of the restaurant waiting to get in before they re-open after their daily break between 2:30pm to 5pm! The kitchen stopped taking order at 2:30pm daily yet the servicing staff was still there helping us. The food is delicious! Best of all, the edamame, the miso soup and rice are all free and you can ask for free refill as well. Price of the dishes are very fair as well. Strongly recommended! Will be worth the waiting!

Extra! Extra! $11.99 menu lunch /dinner is a bargain ! My favorite is the 3 flavor squid! So different and delicious! That was the dish that got me hooked! Nice quiet ambiance! Definitely a hidden gem!!

Language barrier was definitely an issue on this trip. Three “aunties” working and none spoke a word of English. That’s not the real issue though, as I was able to get what I went for which was some crispy roasted pork. Ruby down the street was closed (even though they were supposed to be open), so I searched and found Auntie’s. Ideally, I would have ordered a two item combo as I saw in a previous order pictured, but didn’t find it on the menu. Oh well, pointed to it hanging and settled for a pound, which I assumed was the minimum since they kept saying “one pound” over and over :). I agreed, but then it came to 1.5lbs and I’m the only one eating. No biggie. I love left overs. I wanted some hainan chicken and rice to offset the richness of the pork, but they pointed to what looked like a duck, but said it was chicken. Not hainan style and no rice, but I’m tired and getting hungry so asked for half only. Once I get home and try the “chicken”, I’m confirmed it’s duck and it’s not very flavorful. Oh well, I just won’t eat as much and have plenty of leftovers. Then I get to the roasted pork which looks great, but once intook a bite, I realized the piece has been there all day and was chewy instead of crispy. Decent flavor, but not great and without the crispy skin, total bummer. A couple of minutes in the air fryer and lots of siracha made it edible. Again, not bad but not all that good either. Oh well, at least infelt like I helped a small business of auntie’s :) Pro tip: don’t go near closing time. Take pics of what you want or take someone who speaks Mandarin :)

I was in the area with my friend & we were looking for a noodle soup spot. This had some great reviews and the pictures looked good. I ordered the mayonnaise shrimp, bbq pork noodle soup, wonton soup and others. The mayo shrimp was excellent and reminds me of walnut shrimp at other locations. The bbq pork of the noodle soup was delicious and the broth was on point. I would definitely come back and try their other menu items. Parking was descent and a great spot to get some noodle soup.

Very affordable dim sum with quick service. Stumbled upon this place on a Monday around noon and the place was packed. You pick the dim sum items from a menu and they will steam it and bring it to your table. They also have a line for take out dim sum. I enjoyed the seafood dumpling, porridge and spare ribs. Most of the food was food was pretty standard, but the chicken feet were kinda sour and the turnip cake was too dry (they only pan fried it alone, didn't add any eggs so it was tough and dry).

the price is reasonable starting to get packed around 10 am during sunday steamed chashu bao is alright i like the bread bun one better shaomai is pretty good i like their turnip cake as well thousand years egg porridge is amazing, remember to ask for the white pepper i just dont like the taro coconut dessert

Won’t be coming here anymore.. the food is good don’t get me wrong but they never fail to find hair in my food it’s not the first time it’s happen to me various occasions and i always have to return or throw it away.. i have given them chances to try the food again but one thing i have noticed is that the employees in the back don’t make the effort to wear hair nets or anything of that sort so if your gonna come here check your food 🫢

A tray full of delicious and filling cuisine for just about 11 bucks, you already know the deal. Gets the job done. Kind customer service too.

Personally I think this is the best Chinese food in the area. The menu isn't large, but each item tastes good, a 2 item combo costs less than $10, which is a steal in this day and age.

The food is affordable and delicious. Keep it up and I will come again😋

We needed a quick lunch before our next destination. It was 2pm. Google mapped it. This little restaurant had 5 tables and one waitress but she had it down. Food was definitely home style. It’s definitely a mom and pop operation.

Let’s keep it real. Looking for a grand room where carts offer up selections well this is not that. If you are looking for a place to order and take some dim sum home with you well this is it. Parking is a bit small but manageable. The dim sum is not sitting there waiting on steam tables getting soggy. They are steamed fresher for your order so you may need to wait a few minutes. We ordered the typical stuff. The ribs were ok as was the steamed pork bun. The dumplings were great. Good texture and lots of flavor. The fried shrimp was great. Ambiance can put you off a bit.. it is not a sit down location so level set expectations. Definitely will be back when I have to go into the office.

This is a carry out place, not a sit-down restaurant. Dim sum portions are bigger than most other dim sum places, shrimp dumpling and shu mai are very tasty. Overall food is not too salty.

I've been going here for over 15 years. I've gotten to know the Hispanic cook. All the staff are always welcoming. The food is great chow fun, tofu with egg, any of the chicken is great. I eat lots of Chinese restaurants and this place serves different kinds of food.

A client recommended this place. A variety of food & drink to choose from. Did not like the taste of the soup.

Our friends told us this is the best Chinese restaurant in LA area, so naturally we must give it try. I am generally not too keen on trying highly publicized places as most were overhyped, nonetheless, I came here with a wide open mind. Thankfully, I wasn’t disappointed, it is one of the best Chinese restaurants in LA area by a wide margin. Let’s start with the decor, which resembles an old time tea house from China with period furnishing and decorations. A nice touch. Next, the service was excellent, my tea cup was never empty for long and dishes were explained clearly. Finally, the food. I must say most dishes are common, but I could taste each ingredient distinctly and all ingredients were very fresh. The final dessert plate of 8 different items of 4 pieces each was very intriguing, but on the pricy side. The leek buns (韭菜盒子)was excellent with its very thin crust and simple but tasty fillings. The deep fried shiitake mushroom was something new for us and we totally enjoyed the dish. The cold appetizers were very well made as well. The boneless drunken chicken wings were very good. All in all, an excellent experience dinning here.

We had one of the private rooms. The service was attentive. They did last call on the early side, it was week night but during the Holiday season. Food is good, with very nice presentations. Yes it is on the expensive side for Chinese food, if you want no frills there's other places to go. However for a special occassion we thoroughly enjoyed it. Knowing what it is, a solid experience overall. It's Michelin mentioned/rated/starred, and that accounts for something, if cost conscious then take that into consideration.

The food is really delicious and authentic, definitely be back order more . The service is really friendly.

Wow! This not your usual smokehouse or Chinese BBQ place. It is amazing *if* you like MaLa spice. This was our first time here and we got a few things to try (and loved them all!). First, we got some quail eggs - deliciously smoked. Probably the most traditional and expected taste of them all. Wonderful. Next, smoked sliced lotus root. They are dark and moist, but crispy and delightfully MaLa, just a little numbing, again, wonderful. Lastly, we tried one of their green peppercorn chickens. These are small, dark birds, but what flavor! I was speechless as I ate my first leg and thigh. What an amazing flavor, unlike anything I’ve ever had before. My wife couldn’t stop praising it and I couldn’t find words. There are so many more things to try, we will be back again (steamed dumplings next!). The woman who helped us was so bright and kind and was very patient with us as she answered all our questions. Be brave, try a small amount of one of their many dishes and you will be coming back too! (sorry no pix of the chicken, we ate it before I thought of writing a review) UPDATE: Feb 2, 2024 Stopped in for lunch and got a bunch of stuff! This is our third visit so I thought I’d do an update. Today we tried some of their bread food and the chicken soup. Shepherd’s Purse and pork steamed dumplings. Disappointing. Our homemade ones are much better and Kingberg Kitchen up the road are also much better - you can actually taste the veggie. They are also very small. Pork and Green Onion Bao. Tasted very good and were very juicy, but . . . No green onions Chicken Soup. Best dish on the table! Rice noodles were well cooked and the broth was very good. I had two small bowls but then it started to get too salty for me. Overall, just ok today. Not everything on the printed menu is available every day, so be prepared to be disappointed! I still think it worth a visit as this type of food is very good and hard to find.
