Taste of Sichuan (Palace Sichuan)
Mostly a good experience. We ordered several things to share family style. The food came quickly and the service was very good. The fried appetizers however tasted a bit burned like the oil was old or too hot. Everything else was very tasty and no issues. The prices are a tad on the higher side but the serving sizes were large. We left with plenty to go and satisfied.
I always forget this place exists. Today was my first time trying it! My fiancé and I were the only ones in there on a Saturday at 2pm. Our server was amazing, filled our water when it was low, gave us an extra spoon to share the wonton soup & extra napkins when needed. The food was delicious & everything is made without GMO’s too. We mentioned it was our first time visiting and we’re giving complimentary egg flour soup. Definitely will be back!!
Golden Palace Restaurant & Lounge
Great food and staff. Reasonable prices too. Their bathroom could use some work and the booths are pretty uncomfortable. I’ll probably order takeout next time
1st time eating here, lunch time. This is an older style Chinese restaurant (old school decor). Very clean, booths or tables were available. We only saw one waitress, she was very polite and professional. There were about 6 other tables that she was waiting on. Our food came out from the kitchen very hot and quickly. I ordered one of the lunch combos, Kung Pao Chicken. My friend ordered the dinner size Mongolian Beef. The flavors were good. The service was good. The portion size was good for the money. Downtown Longview on 14th street, a hidden gem. Thumbs up!!
Corner of Tastes
Love, love, love Corner of Tastes! I've yet to have anything that hasn't been incredible. My favorite might be the ping pong chicken, but I'm still working my way through the menu and enjoying every moment. The people here are wonderful, kind and considerate. They offer free soup while you wait.
First time coming here with my family. The food came out hot and in the amount of time that they stayed (
New Dragon
Pretty decent food, nothing too special but good. Service was awesome and my daughter and I were the only ones in there so the ambience was nice. We ordered sweet and sour soup, shrimp fried rice, bbq pork, spring rolls and salt and pepper shrimp. There were huge pieces of shrimp in the rice, sweet and sour soup was good and the salt and pepper shrimp had lots of good veggies. The spring rolls were a little too mushy and pork dry. I can see myself revisiting and trying something new.
Very unique setup. One half is a traditional Chinese Restaurant and the other half in another room is a Sports Bar with pool tables and pinball. I went to the Restaurant and you couldn’t really hear the bar side which is nice. The food was good and the service was very friendly. Sports Bar was busy and seems like a solid place to hang out, not often you get to have fresh cooked Chinese food and then go play pool.
Szechuan Brothers Chinese Restaurant
Great food, great service. Our server, Geo, was fantastic. He gave us some really great recommendations. Flavorful foods. Good amount for the price. I didn't really care for Honey walnut shrimp. Was more like an orange chicken flavor. Was really on the sweet side for me. Squid could be a little fluffier in texture. Wonton chill oil soup (recommended by Geo) was delicious!!! Sesame soup (Geo recommended) was delicious!!!! I would definitely be back again in the future.
We have waited for over 25 minutes to get someone to even ask for our order. At this point, it's passive-aggressive, and there's no way it's an accident. We have come here for a long time. There is a semi young mid aged waiter who walked past us over 15 times. Took the order of 3 other people, 2 of which just had shown up. But not our order. She has acted in this way before, but not this bad. I am so sad and disappointed that this restaurant allows this behavior. A different waiter had to come ask us near the 30-minute mark. Well, you guys missed out on $200 and I will mever tip if i ever decide to come back unless it's beyond amazing service. We wasted now an hour of our night.
Good Taste Restaurant
Very expensive for potion size. None of the dishes had a pleasant flavor. Placed an order for take-out and order was incorrect. When I called them back they stated "we made a mistake" oh well. Would not recommend. $80 for this and 80% was thrown away.
Had lunch. Food was not tasty. It came out on time but flavor was off. The temperature was OK. Veggies were cooked well. Part of the meats on my were over done. I was there with a friends; however, we had a reservation, prearranged. It was busy. I got my food but never received my beverage order, (hot tea). Restaurant was clean. Lots of parking.
Green Tea Kitchen
I have ordered from Green Tea for years, always consistently excellent food, this time the owner went above and beyond delivering my dinner in the snowy weather, can’t thank them enough.
We (my 17year old daughter and I) ordered 1/2 size chicken lo mein, 1/2 size crab puffs and 1/2 size sesame chicken. There was no meal that would accommodate what we were craving and it cost us almost $50. Everything was dry. There's no crab in the crab puffs. The sesame chicken barely had any chicken in it, it was mostly batter. And the chicken lo mein was just noodles with soy sauce, Panda Express is better. Save your money and goes to House of Bejing! We would have but they were closed. Never trust a drive through Chinese place. We thought we would give it a go but never again. We both threw up our dinner. After reading the reviews, I hope we don't get food poisoning.🤮
Mar's Chinese Cuisine
We went to Mar's Chinese on a Friday night around 7 pm. No waiting. Ordered the hot and sour soup, which was very well with the right amount of sour to flavor. The portion size was a lot bigger coming out in a small bowl. We also ordered the pot stickers, which were excellent. I think they are made on site and are some of the best I have had. Our main dish was the Kung pow shrimp, which we ordered mild. Flavors were good, and it tasted very fresh. Service was quick and friendly, and this was for $40 + tip.
We ordered 4 combos - 2 pork fried rice, pork chop mein, and fried shrimp, 1 rice, chow mein, and egg roll and 1 rice, fried shrimp, and sweet and sour chicken for 4 of us. All of us got at least two full meals out of our combos, it's a lot of food. Good amount of pork in the rice and chow mean, but the chow mein was more cabbage than noodles. My big problem though, is the egg rolls. What is all this black stuff inside?! It's extremely off putting and I couldn't eat them.
Golden palace at battle ground
For at least 15 years this is my "go to" Chinese restaurant. I've dined in a couple times but we normally get it to go. Either way it is consistently good food with enormous portions. I love their chicken sub gum, and the broccoli beef is amazing. Chinese is my favorite cuisine and this place is one of the reasons why!
We always order carry out, and it never disappoints. Kind and caring customer service and a clean kitchen putting out delicious lunch and dinner fare
Lucky Dragon
I've been driving by this restaurant on I-5 for years and decided to give it a try. Upon entry, I noticed it was at 80% full. We were seated after a couple of minutes, and menus were provided along with waters and teas. We ordered Mongolian beef combo #9 and almond chicken combo #7 along with hot and sour and egg flower soups. Wine was ordered. Soups arrived after 5 minutes. 10 minutes later, dinner was served. The wine was forgotten, and it took a while to get the waitresses' attention to serve the wine. We had finished our dinner and waited another 10 minutes for the check. The floor in the restaurant is dirty. There are signs of roof leaks, and the drywall is buckling. The bathroom floor was dirty, ventilation dirty, and there were no paper towels to dry my hands. The pricing is above market. The portions were generous, but sauces were lacking in flavor. Parking is limited.
Got the combination B for 2 people 20 dollars a person. and on my gosh it’s so much food! Had plenty of leftovers. Service was fast and employees were so friendly. Parking is limited. Food was good, we got the sesame beef and orange chicken with the sauce on the side and it was nice and crispy! The only thing I didn’t think was the egg roll which has shrimp in it, not a favorite of mine. But I loved the egg flour soup and pork fried rice . Definitely will come back.
Happy Family Restaurant
Wednesday we went and ate in the bar, before we even sat down bar tender asked what we wanted to drink. Then she rudely said we had to order drinks before food. We ordered the hummingbird plate, do not order. The noodles were hard and not edible, the scallops was disgusting. My husband made a comment and bar tender threw a fit.two ladies yelled throw them out. We weren't even getting loud about complaining. We said the crab puffs delicious, but not main course. So if you don't want a bar tender that always sounds rude and doesn't smile don't go on Wednesdays. Go on the weekends when there are two nicer bartenders
Quite the little surprise in old Town Battle Ground. Went in for the first time and was initially worried about the clutter around the restaurant. We sat at a comfortable booth and were immediately served hot tea and waters. We ordered from the lunch menu, which seemed very reasonable. For $9.50 you ordered an appetizer, side and main meal. We recieved huge portions of food that tasted freshly prepared and was delicious. I took off one star due to cleanliness.
Dynasty Restaurant
I have eaten a lot of Chinese food, and when our hotel front agent recommended this place. Me and my family not thinking much decided to stop by. We had no idea we would be eating the best Chinese food of our lives. The dumplings are made fresh in the kitchen, and yes they rocked our world. It's a family place that provided top notch food. I live in Seattle and my parents in south OR. We have decided that we will be back in the future. You know it's good, when people order more, because it is just that good. Thank you for showing us what amazing chinese food tastes like!
Did not disappoint! My husband and I were visiting the area from out of town, and after a long day of exploring we were exhausted and wanted to pick up something easy for dinner. What sounds better than Chinese food takeout after an exhausting day? We both got combo dinners - wow! Not only did my sesame chicken taste great, but what a great value! Portion size was great also. The wonton soup was delicious. Thank you!!
