BEST CHINESE TAKEOUT IN NORFOLK! My husband and I have been going here non stop for weeks! We honestly didn’t expect the fresh food, fast service and reasonable prices at first. This is an absolute first pick for speedy lunch takeout. It has never taken more than 10 minutes to wait for an order (even a $40 order!!) We truly enjoy stopping here. We recommend the lunch specials and appetizers!!!! The fried dumplings and the lumpia are amazing!!

There are dead mice in their takeaway shop. It's so disgusting that I dare not eat it.

I will never return. First, I arrived at 10:45 am. The sign was blinking "Open," but it wasn't. I waited in my car. A woman in her car arrived waited a few minutes and then left. The manager/cooks arrived after 11:00 am. I ordered the combination chicken wings with Shrimp Fried Rice but received Plain Fried Rice, which I didn't discover until I arrived home. I also ordered Fried Rib Tips, House special Yak Mein, and two Shrimp Egg Rolls, but I received Plain. The fried rice was dry along with the chicken wings. The Fried Rib Tip just didn't taste good. I gave the food away. After 30 minutes, my food was brought to my car. The only thing I enjoyed was the lemonade. I was very disappointed.

Definitely much better than the other reviews portrait. For Virginia Chinese food is very adequate. The price is good and the food is exactly what you expect from a Chinese food place like this. The crab Rangoon has more crab than it does cream cheese. The wonton egg drop soup is tasty. And the sweet-and-sour chicken is exactly like pretty much anywhere else that you would go. I will say that the rice was a little bit salty for my taste. But for the price it works just fine. Definitely not the best Chinese food I’ve ever had but definitely not the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had either.

This used to be the go to Chinese take out for my (Asian) wife and I. Then a few years ago it was bought by new owners and in our opinion the quality tanked. About 3 months ago I suggested that we try it again to see if it had improved and it has. We have ordered 3 or 4 times since then and I'm happy to say it's much better. It may not be the best Chinese take-out I've had but it is good and convenient. I would give the food 4 stars, the service 5 and as for the atmosphere, well it's a take out, so nothing special is expected, so 5 for that as well. All in all will I go there again, absolutely.

Something about this chicken lo mein tastes the way bug spray would taste.I definitely do not recommend. I really didn't want to write a bad review but I needed to so I can remember not to order from here again.

Ordered online last night at 8:20pm arrived at the suggested time of 8:45pm to find the resturant closed!

First time here, very fresh and hot. Crab Rangoon was super crispy with just the right amount of crab/cheese. The General Tso had a hint of gamey taste to the meat so I was not a fan, plus a few pieces did not have chicken in them which is quite common for these low-priced Chinese takeout restaurants. The chicken in the Chicken Thai Fried Rice was tender and white. Tastes super fresh compared to the Tso. The Thai Fried Rice doesn't have any sauce, almost looks like white rice. I didn't expect that but it tastes good! One thing is for sure, if you eat inside you will get super fresh food hot out if the fryer. Each item was delivered as it was pulled up, awesome!

Just went here today for a quick bite before a tire appt. Once I entered the building, I ALMOST WALKED OUT!! I should have trusted my observations. The pictures speak loud and disgusting!! I ordered fried dumplings, but as you can see, they were burnt, and YEP tasted burnt. SAVE your hunger pains as I should have done THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING!! It probably should be closed down.

Omg I really wish I could give this place a 0 stars I just ordered chicken wings and general tsos chicken with chicken fried rice. This place sucks my husband chicken wings was burnt and over cooked and my chicken was over cooked no sauce and my chicken fried rice was hard and under cooked. Like I have never been to a Chinese restaurant where my food was this bad. And for 20 something dollars it won't work it.. omw back to my favorite place china hut in ov smh . On top of that it's freezing in there colder inside there then outside. Lord help them

Food was fantastic. Was make exactly as I requested in the part you can leave specific instructions. We just asked for our chicken fried hard. BOMB.com Im so sorry we always do a late pickup so by the time we get home none of us are thinking a out pics 😒😒 but portions are great food tasted lovey. They store still give covid vibes not at all that im bothered just wasn't giving we care what yall see or think vibes. 🤣🤣 Food was busting though!!!!!! That's all that matters!!!

Use to go to as a young woman working at Bank of America downtown Norfolk. Lost their great tasting food. Use to be a great experience. My shrimp egg foo young had a refrigeriedator taste, fried rice was horrible. Should of listed to the DON'T GO THERE!

I do not ever put 1 star usually on the food unless it is something that does not match the description of the order, food had very bad taste or poor presentation. ( In my case it was a take out). Today I tried for the first time Golden Fortune Restaurant . I live in Norfolk for 25 years and never been to this place before. It was my misfortune to stop by the Golden Fortune ))) First of all I expected my order to match the description to the menu. It was not right at all and it was made with different ingredients . The food (35$) ended up in the garbage 😔. Kung Pao Chicken at first is made with red peppers, chille peppers 🌶 ,peanuts and scallions and might sometimes have bamboo shoots. But here was not the case. Chicken taste like boiled chicken, there were mushrooms ,bamboo shoots and peanuts. The meal was made with brown sauce as most of the Chinese food in US is made. I also change the rice to fried rice wich is my favorite instead of steam rice. No taste , very blend and had frozen peas as some of them still not cooked . I included the pictures of the food i got and the pictures of the food item as described. You be the judge of it . As for the customer service i can't complain. The lady in front was a resl sweetheart. We go to the restaurant for the high quality food that tastes good and a smile of the personal is an addition. I do not recommend this place and I personally will never buy from them again .

People were nice. They gave me a Pepsi with my food cause I forgot to order a drink. My food was good and hot. I don’t see what’s up with the negative reviews, my food was good. Also if you are getting it delivered, you’re better off doing it via DoorDash because they are extremely busy so I can understand the restaurant taking awhile for it to arrive, have a 3rd party do it.

If you want to order food from here, it’s best to do it online. However, this doesn’t guarantee they get your order right. I ordered Beef & Prawns Szechuan Style, Hot & Sour soup, and Chicken Chow Mein. Everything was strangely oily, mushy, or pale. 1. The chicken chow mein came with no chow mein (Picture 3). Just cabbage and boiled chicken. 2. The Szechuan Beef was chewy and the shrimp disintegrated in your mouth. Not in a tender way, more like it was either horribly frost-bitten or undercooked. It’s also not spicy at all. 3. The Hot & Sour Soup wasn’t spicy either. The mushrooms are clearly old, lumpy, and slimy. And there were random goops of some substance that made the texture inedible. To not get sick I only took a few bites. The food is most likely old because there aren’t a lot of orders coming in.

The food was extremely salty and luke warm. $29 for 2 meals that we ended up throwing away. Not fresh at all. Plus it took forever for someone to even realize that we were there

Sorry. I hate to leave bad reviews, but I believe in good Customer Service. If you pay $4.99 for a bubble tea, and they give you a tea with 1/3 the bubbles that are shown on the pictures, you shouldn't change extra to add more bubbles. It's just simple customer service principle.

Five stars because I don’t blame the franchise for the attitude of the people they hire. I love Panda. The Orange chicken is always on point. I have never had an issue here but today maybe because is a rainy Monday evening, the front of the house acted like they didn’t see me, I’m very vocal when it comes to food. She didn’t greet or acknowledge my existence even though I said Good evening and asked if they were still open. She then stared at me until I gave my request. Chow mien and Orange chicken with a water. She held the bag out and stared until I reached for it just to set it down on the counter. She then walked off. Then turned back and stared. So I asked. Can I have my water? She then pointed to the other side of the counter to where she placed the water. So petty, I don’t get it. If you want a job as front of the house, play the part. Sell it. It’s not that hard. I’m ranting but I hate it when bad employees deliver low blows to an otherwise good place. I still love Panda. I’m still going to eat here. I hope she overcomes whatever ruined her day.

They do NOT do rewards here, so if you have the app, do NOT even try it there! What's worse is that there is not even a sign that tells you they do NOT do rewards there! So please take my advice on that. The only reason it gets two stars is because they are decent at best when it comes to how much they can give you, but I don't eat here often. Still, no rewards program there sucks.

Called, they answered quickly and took my order. Entering into the parking lot is a little tight so keep that in mind. The food was good and the portions were great for the price paid. Inside feels a little...well, interesting but I guess that's par for the course at take out only Chinese places these days. Overall I would come back again for another orange chicken!

The food is always good. The only place I'll go to. Parking is a problem due to the nail place, braiding shop and the barber shop. I call my order in and it's ready when I get there.
