I Ordered online and I thought I was ordering from the regular all day menu but they gave me the lunch special, no where was I able to say what kind of rice, I wanted white and I got fried, I could not order a soup choice and I got an egg roll no soup (my fault for not asking) general tso chicken was tough and chewy, I will not be back. I used to go there a few times a month back when Pooh was there. Down Hill. I should have gone to China Pavilion IV.

I ordered a side order of boneless spare ribs small and a egg roll for my mom the ribs were very good and delicious šŸ˜‹ perfectly cooked and not greased my mom enjoyed the egg roll. The prices are very good šŸ‘ and cheaper than other Chinese restaurants. The young Asian lady who works there was very nice and sweet. Also the place was very clean and easy to find. I will definitely order again. ā˜ŗļø They don't offer delivery but you can use door dash but it's very close to where I live so I don't mind pickup.

We have been coming here on and off for 20 years. We stopped coming because of the service but decided after a year to try again.......big mistake, nothing changed. The woman who took the order never said hello, was on her cell phone while taking our order, never said thankyou. I loudly said "THANKYOU" and she did not even get the hint I was being sarcastic. Asked for our food to be spicy, they forgot. The cook was yelling at 2 different employees,it was so embarrassing. Their menu states "We have recruited our cooks from many parts of China to prepare unique flavors of Chinese and gourmet dishes using selected ingredients and oriental seasoning". Zero ginger,garlic,5 spice, sesame etc detected in this boring food. I make better. Will NOT be going back.

Food: I literally got 3.5 wings in my order instead of 4 šŸ˜‚ My wife’s French Fries were old and filled with oil, CLEARLY not fresh. As someone who works in food service as a cook, I can tell they don’t put much effort into their product. Service: Google says they close at 11pm, I called around 10:05-10:10pm and was rushed off the phone before I could get a price and/or confirmed they got my full order. Got there around 10:40pm and the owner was rushing me to pay, stating that they close at 10:30pm. I paid over $25 for my full order (4 wings w/ shrimp-fried rice & 4 wings w/french fries) and most places in my neighborhood offer AT LEAST a canned soda with purchase of $20-25, this place offers nothing. Atmosphere: pretty small eating space, luckily I got my food to go. It was clean, but then again, they were closing so I’d expect the area to be clean at that time. Overall, pretty meh experience šŸ˜•

This is my favorite Chinese takeout restaurant in the area and there are many. Food is always well prepared and tasty. Highly recommended. It’s really N/A for atmosphere because it’s a takeout.

Make the wrong dish that i ordered. I ordered shrimp with lobster sauce and they give me chicken with... not even sure what sauce that is, but it taste bad. Its inevitable, had to throw it away. The ribs were dry and over cooked. Not sure how they made that mistake, she repeated the order after me. Never going there again. If I could give them zero star, I would.

Peking Chinese Kitchen

Don't waste your money in this place. I did and regret it, I usually go to "China Garden" on Mt. Pleasant but it was closed so I gave this place a shot. Ordered beef with Chinese vegetables, Chicken fried rice and Dumplings (which was the only decently prepared dish). Beef and vegetables were a joke of a portion, barely any beef and veggies, when I opened it I could literally count how many pieces were on the container and you could see the bottom. The fried rice had barely any chicken or vegetables and was halfway cooked. Called the place to let them know and the guy who picked up the phone got offended. If you don't believe look at the pictures. Never again.

The rice was bland and had a burnt taste, the wings were stale, and the egg roll was not stuffed also overcooked on outside. Overall the price was great but the food was trash.

Sun Wah Kitchen

Tried ordering delivery and the lady kept hanging up on me . When she finally took my ordered she said they will not deliver my food if i don’t tip. I told them i will tip in cash and they said they are not doing that and hung up the phone . I called back and said i will tip $5 and then said that was not enough and hang up again. Absolutely terrible customer service

My family has been eating from the Sun Wah kitchen for well over 20 years. We're no longer eating from there because the food was awful on our recent pickup order. Additionally, no sauce packets were included. The egg drop wonton soup was ok, but there was a very small amount of soup with an excessive amount of wontons. The pupu platter's meat sticks were dry, the fried shrimp was more breading than shrimp, and there was some sort of flat wonton with a tiny amount of something resembling cream cheese in the middle. The spring rolls were greasy and tastely. The 2 chicken wings were inedible. The Lo Mein barely had any meat in it and was bland and unseasoned... And without sauce packets we couldn't try to season it more ourselves. The "Seafood delight" was hardly as delight, it was mostly mushy imitation crab, with 1 small piece of lobster, some shrimp and a few rubbery scallops. The flavor was okay in the sauce. My mom called to complain about the food as we (were) a long-time customer, thinking maybe it was a new cook. She spoke to someone that said that they were the owner, who she wanted to bring the food back to either have it replaced or refunded for the uneaten amounts. He offered to give us a little more soup broth was the only recourse offered. We thought we were accidentally disconnected, but it turns out she was hung up on by the owner, when we called back and he said no he hung up. A very disappointing meal and experience for a family of long term customers.

Lucky Fortune Chinese Food & Japanese Food Restaurant

I ordered the Mongolian Beef and a the Chef Special Lo mein. The Lo mein was an add on only because my friend raved about how good it is… I was Disappointed to say the least. It had no flavor and I had to drown it in soy sauce. The Mongolian Beef was flavorful however, there was barely any beef. It was all onions and scallions. The picture I posted was AFTER I had picked out most of the scallions (approx 1/2 cup) and I was still left with a container full of onions. Call me crazy, but for $13 I expect more beef and less onions.

Where do I begin? If I could rate this place a zero, I would. The prices are inconsistent. My coworker ordered the same thing on the same day and he was charged more money one time. They have $15 minimum in order to use a card payment. The women running the restaurant is extremely rude, disrespectful, and racist. She’s rude to black customers.Today I went there to order and I was dreading it because it’s always an unpleasant experience. I should’ve known better, the only reason I went is because The New Great Wall is closed on Mondays. Which is another Chinese take out which is walking distance from them. They provide better customer service and the food is better. I was ordering some food and I didn’t understand the question the owner asked me and I had her repeat herself. She got so frustrated, she slammed her fist on the makeshift counter they made due to Covid. I was shocked at how comfortable she was displaying her anger towards me. I cancelled my order and I knew I would never return, it was the last straw. On top of everything the food is trash from past experience. They don’t deserve to be in business with the quality of customer service and food they provide. They definitely lost me as customer. They need to understand there’s too much competition for them with their lack luster food and disrespectful personnel, good luck and good riddance.

Grateful that this place is open late & has pretty much everything you might need last minute. I even bought toilet paper here once. The owners Sue & Jimmy are always polite & welcoming & will accommodate you as much as they can.

(Closed for December)Chang Xing Chinese Restaurant

Please do not go here for good Chinese food. 2 stars is probably too nice but I'll give it because by error, we came here a second time. I noticed the shrimp in the shrimp fried rice looked old and like it was going bad. I was able to eat the food without getting sick...thank goodness. Usually Chinese food can last even up to a week if stored in a nice cold fridge. THIS DID NOT last 2 days. You should be able to save left overs and eat it the next day! It went bad. And I noticed when I warmed up the chicken and took a bite, it was spoiled! During this pandemic we usually eat home but felt like ordering out and were craving Chinese food. I remember the first time we purchased from here we ended up going home to re-fry everything! Who re-cooks Chinese food?? Anyway, had I known my relative was buying from here again, I would've stopped them in their tracks. We usually never get Chinese food around this area. Either downtown or elsewhere. Big mistake and never again. I understand business is hard right now but this seems like a habit they don't care to fix and I've never had to give such a review. Unacceptable! They were also rude on the phone when we ordered. After saying they dont deliver during the pandemic the lady hung up. Ummm...okay so can we give our order and pick up the food? How rude. My relative was nice enough to call back and continue (which he made her aware of by saying "Yeah you hung up on me. I wasn't done.) Customer service needs to be taught in these establishments...yesterdayšŸ˜‘ and we are not the kind of customers to be difficult. But a sis is tired!

I have been eating from this restaurant for many years. The food is fairly good. If you have never eaten Chinese food cooked correctly. What they consider Chinese fried rice here. Surely is not what you will find on Fifth Avenue. If you want the best cooked Chinese food head over to Fifth and Sixth Avenue in New York City or go to China. What you do get here is fairly good cooked food and nice customer service. Their egg foo young is cooked with far to much onion and overly salted. You have to inform them to go light on the salt. Their garlic chicken is wonderful for this small takeout restaurant. They don’t do such a bad job with Shrimp fried rice. If you never eaten traditionally cooked Chinese food. Than you will like the food here. If you get a cold may I suggest that you try any of their soups. They are delicious and actually help shorten your cold....ā€ It does so for meā€. If you want the greatest Chinese food eating experience. Well this isn’t the place for you. If you just enjoy eating it period. Than feel free to enjoy yourself. It’s a block in a half from a police station and across the street from West side park. Not anywhere I would walk to at night. It’s okay doing the daytime hours. It’s not over priced and you get a pretty decent amount of food for your money.

Wok II Chinese Restaurant

Restaurant is attempting to rip me off and I have no clue why. Used Uber Eat to order for delivery. Order was canceled for some reason. Reordered for pickup at 4:11pm. Food was supposed to be ready at apx 4:45pm. Wife goes down to pick it up. Says he remembers seeing our order but only has 2 of many items ready. Fast forward to 530pm and food is still not ready and the only worker there is acting like he knows nothing of the order. Wife doesn't want to wait any longer and wants a refund. Has all the uber eats and transaction information which is being refused by the worker. Tells us we he has no receipt to give us and won't look for our confirmation number in his work tablet. Tells us to call uber. I tell him he's marked the order as delivered even though we never picked it up. We tell him we'll wait but he's still telling us to call Uber anyways and is now refusing to give us the food even though we've already been waiting for an hour. Says to come back in 30 minutes. Wife leaves and we try to call. Says call back in a few minutes. We call back and is workers are now not answering the phone. Calling numerous time. Filing a dispute with both Uber Eats and PayPal. No real responses yet for help. As of writing this Uber randomly responded to me in Spanish saying they'l send this to their team to discuss. l Might be scammed out of $62.55 and get no help. UPDATE: UBER EATS CUSTOMER SERVICE CAME THROUGH. Offering me full refund despite not even being able to contact the this business because they are refusing answer calls. Uber Eats gets 5 star. Wok II has by far been the worst restaurant experience my family history in Newark.

The food was horrible last night I ordered a small egg drop soup It was tasteless My chicken had a bunch of feathers on it I ordered chicken wings they gave me six small drumsticks with a bunch of feathers two wings with no tips on them I’m never eating there again
