China Town Eatery
Price is very good! 5 star price. Food isn’t very fresh. I gave 3 star. People and service are 5 stars.
Great rice dish! Hot pot rice forms nice crispy crust on bottom. Dish is temperature hot!
Gary's Asian Bistro
Gary’s Chinese Asian Bistro & Restaurant is a hidden gem that absolutely deserves the spotlight! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere made me feel right at home. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and made great recommendations. The food? Incredible! Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The General Tso’s Chicken was crispy with just the right amount of spice, and the Lo Mein was packed with flavor. Don’t skip the dumplings—they are a must-try! What sets Gary’s apart is the authenticity and quality of the food, combined with a level of service that truly makes you feel like a valued guest. I can’t wait to come back and explore more of their menu. If you’re craving Chinese food, Gary’s is the place to go. Five stars all the way! Warmly, Dennis Schleicher YouTuber and Instagram content creator
Place is so good I almost don't want to tell anyone because they'll always be busy when I come for food. This is the kind of place I remember coming to when I was younger for a nice Chinese dinner with the family. Cloth tablecloths, amazing service with refilling drinks and all around atmosphere is perfect. Food was prepared quickly at dinner even with the restaurant being half full of customers. Ordered general tso chicken and sesame chicken it had excellent flavor in both dishes. Food was worth the price in quality and portions size. Really well ran place just take a look around you will be impressed with your visit.
Janbo Express
Janbo Express is what affordable Chinese takeout dreams are made of. Located in the Hidden Valley Shopping Center strip mall, Janbo offers a standard menu of American-Chinese fare. The combination plates (lunch or dinner) are the winners. The sweet & sour chicken with the sesame chicken is fantastic! All the sauces are good, but can be overly sweet. That becomes noticeable before you finish the entree. I really like the fried rice. It's surprisingly good. The service is always friendly. It's family-owned, which adds to the overall appeal. It's a small dining room, but there has always been an open table. Doing takeout is an easy process, and the food quality holds up during transit.
I have never eaten in but have ordered through door dash and online. We love their lemon chicken! It comes not covered in sauce so it’s not soggy to start with and leftovers are good. Other things are good to. My kids like the orange chicken, the noodle dishes (I like these well enough but it is a little like spaghetti with a soy based sauce) When we want a lot of Chinese food for not a ton of money this is our go to.
Sake Restaurant
The service was amazing. We had a couple of rolls, including one customized to our preferences. The grilled squid was very good, and the fish was incredibly fresh. The tempura was good, though I would personally suggest changing the type of tempura mix. However, the atmosphere could use some improvement—it feels too much like a cafeteria, and the lighting is overly bright.
Great sushi and Ramen spot! Family and kid friendly. However, no kid menu. Portion sizes were great. Exceptional bowls of ramen! The broth was rich and flavorful, with a perfect balance of savory and umami notes. The noodles had just the right amount of chew, and the toppings were fresh and generously portioned. The chashu was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the egg was perfectly soft-boiled. A truly satisfying and comforting meal that leaves you craving more. Highly recommended for ramen lovers! Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The atmosphere at Sake is absolutely fantastic! From the moment you step in, you're greeted by a warm, inviting ambiance that blends traditional Japanese decor with a modern twist. The soft lighting, cozy seating, and elegant wooden accents create a perfect setting for both a casual meal and a special occasion. The open kitchen adds an exciting energy, letting you see the chefs in action as they prepare your meal with precision. It's a place where you can truly relax and enjoy a delicious dining experience.
P.F. Chang's
After a nice relaxing night, my brother and I decided to get some food. The other restaurants were a tad too busy so we opted to come into P.F. Chang’s. The atmosphere was very welcoming, and we were seated almost immediately. Jenn Was our server and she did an amazing job! Our drinks were constantly refilled And the food came out very quickly and tasted amazing. I highly recommend this place!
Cody is by far the best server ever ! He was very descriptive About the menu and gave excellent customer service! That chicken lettuce wraps were fantastic as well as the Mongolian beef ! I would for sure ask for Cody! He gives excellent customer service and knows the menu very well! I am very impressed ! For sure ask for him!
One Noodle Bar - Sandy
Great place! Lovely atmosphere and quick service! The food is delicious! The gyoza is nice and crispy and comes with a yummy dipping sauce. The ramen is fantastic. A bowl is very filling. I really recommend trying the one that has fried chicken in it. I also add in some minced garlic and it’s amazing.
Pretty good food. Tonkotsu Ramen named Rich Rich, but I think it would be better if the soup is richer. And the egg is a little bit salty. But I like it.
King Buffet of Salt Lake
I am not a kind of person that's into trash talking. But if you put this food in your mouth that's exactly what happens because it's garbage! The sushi was fine the muscles were exceptional everything else was terrible. The food was old at 12:30 in the afternoon. They did have a Mongolian BBQ. But with only two proteins and a limited amount other options. The actual restaurant itself was amazing! I'm talking first class. Which actually made it even more of a bummer. I am sorry King buffet I am never coming back.
There was a really good selection of different types of food. There were a lot of people on Saturday so they kept the fresh food coming quickly. Everything I tried was well prepared and tasty so there are no issues with the food at all.
Ginza Japanese Shabu Shabu
We’re obsessed with this restaurant. We were introduced about a year ago and have easily been back once a month since. It’s now a family go-to for delicious shabu-shabu, great sushi and really yummy BBQ. Don’t let the ordering process scare you - it’s super easy and everything is delicious.
I love this place. I’ve tried every single all you can eat in Utah and this is the BEST! For $36 you get Unlimited Sushi, BBQ, and Hot pot. Amazing deal for the price of 2 rolls at another spot. My favorite spot for date night with my girl. Go here if you have a special occasion for sure.
Boba Break
My favorite is ding tea boba as their boba is so fresh and soft, but after trying this place, it’s probably my new favorite! I always go for a regular milk tea boba or taro. The milk tea was delicious, not too sweet and boba was perfect. Cute shop and after reading the other reviews, I want to try their food options too.
best boba i’ve ever had. it was delicious and i drank the whole thing. the chicken nuggets + fries came with a really good sweet & sour sauce :) everything was DELICIOUS! i was skeptical about ordering food with my boba but it blew me away
Yi Sushi Bistro
I love places that have discounted sushi, and the quality of the food is not compromised. We are big fans of sushi, and having it taste fresh is difficult to find in Utah. We gave this place a shot and really enjoyed it. The staff were kind, the food was made quickly, and everything tasted so good! The Unagi, Play Boy, and Mt Fuji rolls were DELICIOUS. We highly recommend you to try those 3 when you visit.
To be frank, I felt underdressed as soon as we got there. The place was really nice and some of the friends I was going out with were dressed nice too. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere seemed pretty cozy. We were there on a day where it was snowing, so the contrast was nice. I honestly forgot what we ordered since it was a while ago, but the sushi that I ordered wasn't as good as I expected. I ordered the Tiffany sushi - wouldn't recommend that one if you're more into the spices and flavors that punch. But the sushis that my friends ordered were good. Overall decent place to get your sushi!
King Buffet
the only food that had any flavor were the fried dumplings, crab rangoons, egg rolls, spring rolls. all the other foods and sauces were plain and bland. Sweet and sour sauce was missing the ginger flavor. The hot and sour soup was neither. Lo mein was flavorless. The ice cream was more crystallized ice than cream. The service was beyond awesome! For half the price I rather go to 🐼.
Our travel agent guy recommend this buffet to us, that is really worthy buffet that I had eaten, so many food choices, Chinese cuisine , sushi, mongolian cuisine ect, environment is bright, clean and organized, spacious eating area, the price is so so so competitive with many food choices. no matter you are vegtarian or carnivore, you can easily find what you like. Taste is very delicious. Food material is fresh, waiters and waitress are so kind and polite. I will definitely recommand to my friends to come here if they visit Salt lake city in the future. never let you disappoint, really worthy to go.
L & P Bakery Cafe
My family and I love it here and have been coming quite often since we’ve discovered it. The dishes are flavorful, fresh, and still hot when served to us. We love that you can order duck as long as you can be patient. It’s so worth the wait on the duck! The servers are really efficient and polite.
This little bakery has a hidden secret, and it's their amazing and authentic Cantonese Chinese food. We have known the owners for almost two decades now, they used to operate the food court at OceanMart on 90th South. This location is of their own is small and can only seat up to 24 people but it is cozy and welcoming. The food is amazing, especially the roast duck, scallions chicken, and the clay pot rice. If you are going with a larger party, call a day or two in advance to reserve your table, and let them know if you want to order anything that would require long prep time like the Roast Duck or the Clay Pot rice. Give them a try, I don't think you will be disappointed.
