Pho Hung Cuong Restaurant

Nice place. Fast friendly service. Reasonable prices. Appetizers were great, arrived hot and timely. I was disappointed in the Peking duck. My only previous experience with Peking Duck was a couple of years ago in Beijing where i tried the two major versions. This was nothing like either of those. Now, to be fair, if you haven't had Peking Duck previously you might enjoy this version. It wasnt BAD, just nothing like my previous experiences in Beijing.

I had the Vietnamese egg roll, pho and a Vietnamese coffee. The egg roll was good, it had lots of meat and was hot and crunchy. The pho was okay, but I found the broth a little too salty and the meat was not the best, but it was okay. I feel like it was all overpriced for the quality of the food. The restaurant also needs to be cleaned up better, there were stains on the walls.

Wasabi

We had a quick birthday lunch there. The food is very standard Chinese-Japanese. We came during lunch special time, but - they charged us full price making up stories about special rates and still over charging. The booth table was dirty with our arms sticking to it. It was too dark and very gloomy. Overall, quite disappointing. Now, all three of us have upset stomachs. Did they change the ownership lately?

A little lonely by the time we arrived but sushi was amazing and service was great. Prize is in the middle low range, so you will get a very good sushi for a low price. Recommended!

Asia Chinese Cuisine

We were looking for a good Chinese food place and this might be our new spot. The food was very fresh and had great flavor. The egg drop soup was delicious and the the other sides were really good. Don’t trust the online orders calculations. It says 15 minutes and it took 45.

I want to start by saying the lady who checked me out when I went to pickup our to go order was friendly but this review isn’t about staff. This review is about TASTE and AUTHENTICITY two things this place doesn’t have. The food is bland and I had to add my own sauces to finish my dinner. Spent $36 when frankly, I could have spent less and got more taste from Panda Express. I ordered the lemon chicken, Hunan beef, and wonton soup. Chicken was overcooked, lemon was just basic lemon gelatin dip which I could have done without. Hunan beef needed more flavor. Also, fried rice isn’t just white rice with some soy sauce in it but it appears that’s how they do things here. I can tell the cooks aren’t versed in how to make it but they can find a simple recipe online that would blow this out the water with ease. My wife got sweet n sour chicken with a spring roll. She was pleased with the spring roll but the chicken was overcooked. I honestly don’t understand how more people in these reviews aren’t speaking more about the rice specifically but guess locals here don’t understand good taste. Our search for good Asian cuisine continues…

South Garden Chinese Restaurant

It had been a while since i've been here. And the food was just as great as I remember. Only I don't remember the portions being so big! We had the combination Lo mein ( beef chicken shrimp) and sesame chicken. You will need to go plates.

Went with three other people it was very busy. We got seated within less than ten minutes. I ordered chicken almond, hot and sour soup, egg roll, steamed rice, and ice tea. All was served very fast and hot. My plate has lots of chicken, celery, carrots, and a delicious sauce. I've eaten here many times and have always been very satisfied with food and service. I've also had the orange chicken which is also very good but this time I wanted a dish with vegetables. I'm a big eater and I took almost half of my food home. It will make a good dinner for the next day. Don't pass this place by. Good job South garden. I'll be back.

Lucky Noodle House

Stopped in to try some noodles. Ordered ice tea, sweet and sour cucumbers, and sweet potatoes noodles with lamb. Tea and cucumber salad came out quick. Was amazed with the variety of flavors on the cucumber salad. Then the main dish sweet potatoes noodles with lamb was placed on my table steaming hot. As I tasted the bowl, I could tell the spice was very good and powerful just how I liked. It took me a while to finish the bowl because it was a big bowl and certainly filled me up. I can testify this was a spicy but good bowl of noodles that completely filled me up. Very much enjoyed dining here.

I was craving for some cold noodles so much but got lukewarm noodle instead. Too much noodle and I did not understand what was so special about the sauce. I expected some tangy and savory sauce but this one was not it. Hard to describe it but definitely not usual cold noodle sauce.

Kai Japanese Sushi Restaurant

Very cool place with good food. I got the chicken lomein no veggies, my wife got the Mike special roll fried. Both were very good. The sushi roll was huge and covered in meat. We will be back.

Based on one visit but there will be more!!! Summary: Excellent food and good service. Food Details: We tried a bento box and 3 sushi rolls. The Batman roll was my favorite but others in the group preferred the malibu and my ds liked the mango roll. All the rolls were very good, just personal preferences. The bento box was good but personally I would probably order a plate instead next time. We liked the orange chicken and lo mein.

Jasmin Thai Restaurant

Our favorite Thai restaurant. Amazing service, wonderful food. Could not ask for more. The lunch specials are even offered on weekends and include a cup of soup entree and 2 spring rolls. Everything we have ordered is excellent. The customer service is top notch and superior to even the finest dining establishments.

was a little nervous when I pulled up because the shopping center was a little run down, and parking was very tight. However, the food was fantastic. I was afraid I would not like it because Thai can be hit or miss. The red curry was amazing. The right amount of coconut milk and spice. I also had the cheese rolls. They were also very good. I'll be back when I am on this side of town again.

Phoenix Chinese Café

After making a delivery for this place I decided to give it a try since I noticed they had lunch specials. I ordered the Orange Beef with an egg drop soup and they were kind enough to give me both the egg rolls and Rangoon since it was my first time eating here! The food itself was good and fresh, like you could tell the egg roll was recently made! The portions for a lunch special felt just right, left me satisfied and I'm usually a heavy eater. The waitress was attentive and made sure my needs were met before giving me the peace to enjoy my meal. They have the QR menu scan thing but THANKFULLY they also brought me an actual menu to look at. Big plus! Will definitely come again in the future!

This is the first Chinese restaurant in San Antonio that I’ve found serving halal food, making it a fantastic option for those who want to enjoy authentic Asian cuisine with halal choices. The owner, manager, and staff were all incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive, making our dining experience even more enjoyable. We visited for a group dinner and were treated to a delicious spread of diverse meat options. The Mongolian beef and shrimp dishes were outstanding, and the soup was flavorful and comforting. The restaurant’s location is also a plus—conveniently near the SAT airport and Northpark Mall, making it easy to stop by whether you’re in the area or just passing through. I’m excited to have discovered this hidden gem and will definitely be returning!

I've been a loyal HEB shopper for years and have always appreciated their commitment to quality and customer service. However, my recent experiences have been concerning. On multiple occasions, I've seen customers with dogs inside the store. While I'm a pet owner myself, I believe there are places where animals shouldn't be allowed, and a grocery store is one of them. These weren't service animals, just regular pets. This raises concerns about hygiene, potential allergies, and even safety. Not all dogs are comfortable in crowded environments, and the close quarters of a grocery store could potentially lead to unexpected behavior. I hope HEB will address this issue to ensure a safe and comfortable shopping environment for everyone.

This is the equivalent of a run down Denny's. We got the cinnamon roll, breakfast tacos and the texas two step. The cinnamon roll was strange, like it had been frozen too long and had a slightly chewy texture, the icing was not quite cream cheese (it wasn't as sour as cream cheese) but not quite a traditional icing either. It was just odd, like most of the food here. The tacos were great if you don't like flavor. The only thing that we could recommend was the pancakes they were actually tasty, that might be because everything else was so plain.

Max and Louie's New York Diner

Came here with a friend and it turned out great! I ordered the Philly Cheesecake omelette with a side of potatoes and man, that was delicious!! It was well seasoned and just flavorful overall. My friend got chicken waffles and loved the waffles the most. They didn’t care too much for the chicken, but everyone has different opinions. It very cute inside and has a welcoming vibe. Our server Waylon was great! He probably checked up on us too many times but I didn’t mind.

We stumbled upon Max and Louie’s NY Diner and glad we did! I ordered their breakfast tacos which were really tasty and had very fresh ingredients. House potatoes were okay, could be more seasoned. Biscuits were the best we had hands down though! Will definitely be back to try more as their menu is quite large and so many to choose from.

Fred's Fish Fry

I go the drive-through. I love the staff there. Always so nice...

Getting too expensive cup of tartar sauce 2.50 jalapeño 80 cents not even provided a fork. All in all 16.42 for a seafood platter no drink. I will go to Chinese buffet next time for fish.

House of China Chinese Restaurant

I'll start with whenever we want Chinese delivered we choose the House of China! We were actually in the area one Saturday and said, Let's go have their food fresh, and boy, was it a treat! We were greeted and seated right away, the restaurant was clean, spacious, and a bit fancy! Our drink and app orders were taken right away. We received our drinks quickly and our appetizers about 8 minutes later. We got the Fish balls which had a great sauce on them and a wonderful filling. My wife said these were her new favorite fish balls! We also got the smashed cucumbers which were fresh and garlicky! We then received our entrees' we got the combination Udon noodles and they were saucy, chewy and delicious and all the meat was fresh and tender! I also got the Salt and Pepper chicken, which was fresh and crunchy and so very tasty! I know we'll continue to order and visit this restaurant when we want Chinese food!

When you start off with Miso soup that exceeds expectations, you can only hope the entrée will be as good. I can tell you it was even better! From the simple salad with a wonderful house dressing to some of the best Mongolian beef I've ever had. For me, even the egg roll raised the bar. I know it's been a while since I've had a proper egg roll, but this also had to be one of the best. Fast, friendly, clean, and even affordable. Especially after spending the day at Sea World. Great job, House of China. We are saving you in our favorites, so we can dine again when we come on vacation.
