China One
No Shade But My Chicken Was Hard As A Rock But Still Seem To Have A Good Flavor i Also Had Cream Puffs That Was slightly Burnt But cream Filling Was Good So Definitely A 4/10 it’s Other Things On The Menu That Looking Worth Trying. I wouldn’t recommend dining in😅
Yuck! was in the area, decided to give it a try. WORSE MISTAKE!!! wings and chesse puff smelled like they were fried in old grease & cheese puff was straight cream cheese. only good thing was the free cold drink (even tho it was hot) and cheap price. NEVER AGAIN! DONT GO HERE. ALSO PLACE SMELLS WEIRD
China Ko Restaurant - Houston
Food very bland. I've never had Cheese puffs that have mozzarella Cheese and not cream cheese. Very disappointed. Eggs rolls nasty as well. Water had a funny taste. Didn't have to pay for the egg rolls but they would not take Cheese puffs off my bill. I definitely will not be coming back here.
Wonderful service and great food and portions. We got the meal deal for 4 people and we left with tons of left overs.
China Star Buffet
Went here during lunch time and the restaurant was better than I would have thought for a Chinese Buffet. There was no waiting in line. The menu items had so much variety of food that I was surprised. Anything from traditional Orange Chicken with noodles and rice🍚 , to Mexican food like Chicken Quesadillas🌮 , to last but not least Italian food like Chicken Alfredo and Pizza🍕. The waiter was super attentive and kept my refills drink full and was polite. The restrooms were also clean as was the whole restaurant. I enjoyed my time here and can't wait to visit this location again for sure. It's around $17 with tax per person, which is worth it in my opinion with all the taste and delicious food this restaurant serves.
Very nostalgic place for me. The food is pretty much the same. Not over the top great but not too bad at all. Great customer service and the all food types stay full.
Hunan Garden Express
I am puzzled by lots of people's comments on pricing. I tried all the Chinese restaurants in Kingwood. And all of it is so bad. They cooked my green beans fresh and egg-foo young on point.
I ordered the rib appetizer that comes with 4 ribs for almost $10. This is the 3rd time I've had an issue with their ribs. I received 2 full size juicy ribs and 2 dried out rib pieces. The meat on those are dry and tough, you can't eat them. I did not call to complain because they just argue and gaslight you when you do. I wish they were consistent with their food. I order my rice with no spice when kids are eating it and mild spice when it's just me. The rice was so spicy, I could not eat it at all, so I called to let them know. She proceeds to look at my previous orders in the system and tell me it's cause I always order it with no spice so I'm just not used to their spice. I was like lady, I'm mexican. I can do spice! I used to order 1 to 2 times a month but it's down to 1 to 2 this year.
China King
the food was pretty good, the seafood casserole was my absolute favorite! definitely recommend. the service was alright, ive been here a couple times and depending on who you get the experience is different. the place is quite dirty unfortunately, trash on the floors and flies buzzing around. its kinda nasty and unsanitary.. other than that though, things there are pretty decent.
The food was OK not great at all. And to top it off we were the lucky winners by finding hair wrapped around the crab leg. Will not be coming here again. Very disappointed it was even busy and it was dinner time. The person at the register very disrespectful and she was blaming the customers that someone had put the hair in the food. She was arguing with me because she says her chef will never do something like that. But yet we found a hair in our food which made us stop eating.
Teriyaki Madness
I’ve stopped by twice. The food is prepared fairly quickly. The teriyaki was pretty flavorful the first time, not so much the second. They probably should consider the proportions of protein (meat) to rice, because I ran out of meat REAL QUICK & had a lot of fried rice left. That really bothered me, but I’ll probably return one more time to see how it goes. The picture shows EXACTLY how much meat I received (for the large) and how much rice was left after eating the meat AND some rice‼️ **RE-VISIT** I went a third time. It’s quite tasty. I spoke with management and she let me know that the proportions are set and basically it is what it is (she was very nice). She suggested I pay a little more to have extra protein added. I did and yes, it made a whole lot of difference. I didn’t really care to be paying more, but it was well worth it.
My first time. New to the area and I found my new favorite! Service was warm and welcoming. Menu was explained easy peasy....the food was just what I was looking and tasting for yummy. Fresh made to order and delicious 😋 I will be back!!! CFF...customer for life.... thanks!
Yang's Kitchen
Yang's kitchen has great food and outstanding takeout service. I did read a bunch of poor reviews, but after eating the food Im taking them as the person having a bad day. The orange chicken was hot and delicious, spicy chicken wings were out of this world!!! Cool way to separate yourselfs from the others was the wheat fortune cookie. :) Overall I cannot complain bout anything I will be returning. Keep up the hard work!!
The food is rancid! Stay away! Do not order! Do not eat! You WILL become sick. The smell alone was horrible!
P. King Authentic Chinese Food
Allegedly Houston is the most diverse city in the United States, I find that hard to believe being a native of New York City, but with that being said I'm making it a point to seek out more international restaurants whenever I'm in the city. P. King is not your typical Chinese spot, the restaurant is enhanced with a ton of high tech additions that you don't usually see including LED screens with the menu as well as a kiosk you can order at. It had a lot of space, plenty of seating for big groups and was very clean, I'm sure a big part of that is because no one was inside lol. Service was fine, a young lady at the front of the restaurant let me know I can place my order at the kiosk, it was a simple process it reminds me of the machines they have at a lot of McDonald's these days, you just tap on your order pay for your meal and you get a print out with your order number on it. Not much human interaction while I was here which I can view as a negative and a positive, depends on what you have going at the time and how technology savvy you are! Food was good, the portions were really big, I ordered the sesame chicken and there was definitely enough chicken for two servings. I don't think they gave me enough rice though, but I would rather have more chicken if I had to choose between the two. You can tell the ingredients are fresh, a lot fresher than your typical chinese spot you can really taste the broccoli, it is not swimming in sauce. All that being said I think it is way overpriced, even with the portion size it is not enough to justify what I paid for it but I guess you get what you pay for between the size and the fresh ingredients.
Incredible food and open late night, what more do you need? The staff was insanely kind and helpful. I'll dream about the crispy duck skin.
Mr Soysauce Chinese
Ordered beef lo mein, pick up was easy. Beef tasted and smelled really weird. I split a piece open and it wasn’t fully cooked, almost RAW. Huge puddle of oil sitting in the corner of the container as well. Super disappointing as this was almost $20. Food lacked taste as well. Will be trying to get a refund of some sort.
First time picking up food here. I got the hot pork (I think that's what its called), mushroom chicken and lo main. Wasn't too big with the pork. Just wasn't impressed but that's just me. It tastes pretty good though. The mushroom chicken was awesome. Totally loved it! Definitely going back to try other food on the menu.
The Hunan
I needed food while working in the area. I was very happy with good quality and portion. Tasted good and fresh. Take out was my choice. They do have a seating area. Unfortunately, it does not have that appeal for someone to want to sit and eat. I recommend the chicken wings.... great for price point. As for the service, the lady who took my order was not very friendly over the phone, very to the point. When I went to pick up my food, she was very straight to point, very lacking in niceness, lol.... if you want a quick bit to eat with good portions and great price points, then i highly recommend this joint.
I hadn't been here in years maybe 8 years I got there at 11:00AM they haven't done any upgrades in all these years old pepper shakers, old tables and chairs and the cooking area , etc you can see when you walk in, the restaurant was a little warm BUT the chicken fries rice was cooked to perfection it was hot seasoned great. Now the cashier wasn't very friendly she wasn't rude just doesn't have a friendly demeanor but the food was great I don't travel down that road anymore but glad I stopped this morning. 09-25-24 update I went back today the food wasn't good the rice must have been leftover it was gummy very few Vegetables the chicken was big Clumps Don't know what happened yesterday it was great so I took the stars away the AC isn't working one of the guys in the back bought water from the back to put into the machine to cool down the restaurant I think today was my last day I took pictures today I think it's time to call the health department
Chopstix express
Besides the deli area inside Fiesta, Chopstix Express has been a staple for decades inside the Fiesta store on Kirby. I decided to place a to go order of mixed vegetables (Vegetable Delight) with fried rice, and the special offered - chicken dumplings. The vegetable delight and chicken dumplings were freshly prepared and tasted pretty good. The fried rice was a bit on the dark side, but there was plenty for me to have after eating some of it with the veggies and dumplings. Price is VERY good for the amount of food. Photos of food and costs are provided for viewing. Total bill was under $16.
Fairly massive amount of food. My order was big enough to split with a coworker. Inexpensive. Freshly made. Only Chinese in the area, but has a little bit of a Hispanic flare. Friendly staff. There’s a sitting area that is big enough to seat 28. Total perk is that you can shop for your food before or after ordering as this is located within the fiesta grocery store
Kung Pao Kings
1 star is too much. Most disgusting restaurant I've ever been to. I ordered a rice dish and the food literally had a dead COCKROACH in it!!! Then when I complained to the manager, he basically giggled and asked if I would like something else instead. I got up and left. Avoid this awful restaurant. I've reported them to Food Safety and Inspection Services.
Firecracker chicken was just the right amount of spicy and crispy and saucy. Fried rice was a lot better than my expectations. Really glad I tried this place!
