Our family has eaten this food for years, even before they opened the food truck. It's amazing 😋

Ordered the orange chicken with a side of lo mein noodles and an egg roll. Was able to add a ton of mixed veggies for $2. Portions were great. It was two big meals for me. Pork egg roll was big and delicious. Added soy and rooster sauce. Ask for sauces! Looking forward to trying the dumplings and other dishes. 🤩

We ordered beef & broccoli and chicken fried rice to go. The food has no flavor. There was more vegetables than beef & chicken.

So I needed a lot of food for a last minute gathering. So we went in and ordered the family meals. And I do recommend the house fried rice. So food here is over all good. They are fast especially last minute. Now I think it’s an old Taco Bell os something but good food for small town Chinese

My first experience with drive through Chinese. I called ahead and ordered. I forgot egg rolls and added them when I got there. Won ton soup was typical no veggies. Cashew chicken was good it had veggies. Sweet and sour chicken was Good no veggies. Fried rice was just rice without veggies

First ( and not last) time visiting and I’m extremely impressed! The food was fresh, cheese puffs were excellent, and service was perfect.

This used to be the Fortune Restaurant, which has relocated to 620. Atmosphere - interior was redone. Tables and chairs too - they somehow project a classier interior, albeit somewhat bulky. Place was very well lit. Service - was prompt. Sufficient staff were around to take your orders, top off drinks, deliver food, and attend to diners' needs. Orders are taken through tablets that each staff carries on a sling. Food - their lunch specials were $2-3 more expensive than typical ones - but servings were huge - good for 1.5 - 2 persons. Dimsum can be ordered weekdays and the kitchen would prepare them for you. On weekends, they'd be on push carts going around the dining area. Dimsum prices range from $5 to $10 a serving. If ordering tea, the table would be charged $2 per person seated, regardless if the others won't be partaking. There is also a new addition - aquariums hosting libr seafood, assuring fresh supply for your dish, should you be ordering lobsters, crabs, ells, etc.

Tried ordering some dishes off the main menu but the items we wanted were unavailable. Was not able to try many of the dim sum but was able to get the staples as the carts had those on rotation. Har Gow- succulent shrimp, perfectly steamed Siu Mai - bouncy, savory pork and shrimp Chicken Feet- tender but overly sweet, not my personal preference Chinese Broccoli- crisp vegetables with a light soy/oyster sauce, which I prefer over the thick sweet oyster sauce Pork Ribs- chewy in a good way, loved the meat to cartilage ratio Prices are a bit high for dim sum. Most are medium and large dishes priced at $6 and $7. The dishes we had were high quality. Interested in trying more, attributing the lack of variety to soft opening. Depending on when you dine, cart offerings will vary. We had to wait a bit to get the dim sum we wanted, looked like the dishes were cooked in large batches so food came in waves.

A sign on the wall near the front door proclaimed that this is one of the top 50 Chinese restaurants in the United States. I’m a bit skeptical of this, having spent a lot of time in the bay area in California, where every Chinese restaurant is extremely good. But for Austin, this is certainly a very good restaurant. The seating area is nothing special, it’s a pure laid functional, but that’s fine, you don’t go here for a five star experience, you go here for great food. Given this, I would definitely give this place a thumbs up and try it.

I was here for the BBQ and was told no BBQ today.... Force to order something else on the menu, and not impressed. The veggie dish cooked in hot water, then stir fry it. Other dishes are just average at best.

The beef rolls were incredible—worth coming back just for them! Service was quick and friendly. The salt and pepper tofu was crisp but leaned more on the salty side. Overall, a solid experience with fast service and tasty food.

Oh my god. COME TO THIS RESTAURANT. Every dish was soooo flavorful, you have no idea. The pig ear is the best I’ve ever had. The pork feet rice has a more subtle taste, but so rich and satisfying. Then there’s the salt and pepper triple, which is perfectly fried and so tasty.

We came for lunch and it did NOT disappoint. Consistently delicious. The lunch special was a nice suprise and MICHELLE took excellent care of us. We'll be back for our Sundays out for sure!

Michelle was our server today and let me tell you she was spectacular. We had questions about the menu due to dietary restrictions and she was very quick with her responses and recommendations. She never let us have empty glasses and our experience was far beyond what we could have expected. Michelle has convinced us to come back for the great food and to have her as our amazing server once again!

We were greeted by the sweetest Zumu (grandmother) who helped us. Unassuming casual restaurant filled with a very friendly atmosphere. The soups are so rich and flavorful at Twin Lion Chinese Restaurant in Austin. The seasoning is excellent. We had the lunch specials served with an egg roll and soup. We also had crab Rangoon - excellent- amazing fried oozing with delicious cream cheese and their steamed dumplings. The dumplings are big and very tasty. I had Mongolian. Perfect. Just perfect. Hubby had the "Dragon and Lion Fight" was also tasty with the vegetables still slightly crispy. We want to come back and try the appetizer sampler. We give this place for the great fresh food and the casual and super sweet service a 6!!. A restaurant does not have to be pretentious and fancy to be a 6 in my book!!!

Review 2- Oct 25th 2024 This time food was amazing. Andrea is a wonderful lady who helped us to get seated immediately and taken the order and served food quickly and it tasted hot and delicious. We ordered Hot and sour soup and chicken fried rice. Both are hot and fresh. Giving the five star rating for the portion size. Must recommended and much better than many thai and chinese restaurants. Firstly the entrance to the restaurant is a big solid red door, we are confused on whether the restaurant is open or closed until we see a label on the side, and no visibility of the hotel from outside since its all covered. A transparent door might help to invite more guests. Secondly the food is not served hot but it is only warm. We ordered sweet and sour soup, chicken fried rice and pan fried noodles. Portion size, taste, cost are all good except the temperature of the food. Staff is friendly and good to try.

The service and food is horrible. The lady brought my food to go, when I needed to eat it here because I am out of town. She didn't even ask me if I was eating here and did not bring me silverware or napkins. When I ask for them, she gave me one napkin. The tea tastes awful as well as the egg roll. The food was ok, but I would not stopped here if I knew, it was just ok. And, they don't have public restrooms. Not happy....

A no frills Chinese restaurant which serves absolutely delicious food! Huge portion sizes, good prices and amazing taste make it one of the best restaurants in Austin. So many Chinese restaurants skimp on rice which is one of the cheapest foods but at this restaurant you will not have to worry about running out. We always get the dinner portions for lunch so that way there is plenty left over for dinner! Family owned and operated, service is fast, friendly and efficient!!

Edit: I sent an an e-mail to their support and initially received an obvious AI reply from "Tsophie" in under a minute, which was disheartening. I received a subsequent reply the next day which I *believe* was human, although I'm not positive. Consider disabling AI replies or at least be transparent about your use. Original review: Everything was well cooked in terms of texture, but some things severely lacked seasoning. The sesame tofu was quite good, but the egg drop soup was very bland. The noodles in the Singapore street noodles were well seasoned and tasty, but the tofu itself was also very bland. Sesame balls were good and the fried rice was fine. I'll give them one more shot, but it was definitely a mixed experience.

This location has such a cool aesthetic I love how cool it looks - my favorite thing to order for takeout is the Rangoons and Mongolian beef bowl >>> the potstickers are also super yummy

Stopped by on a random chance to try it out, everything was fresh and hot. I would make the drive from San Antonio to floresville just for the food alone. Try it! You won't be disappointed

The egg drop soup smelled like wet dog and the beef tasted horrible! Something was definitely not right. I couldn’t even eat it. I took it to go and threw it in the trash. I paid 20.00 for nothing. I won’t be going back there. No wonder there are never any cars there. Place is always empty for a reason
