Stumbled into Mian and was not disappointed. Ordered the pork dumplings, clear broth beef noodles, and the house beef noodles. The clear broth beef noodles are great for those looking for something without spice. The house beef noodles were the best of the three dishes and weren't overly spicy. The dumplings were also very good. Overall, the atmosphere was nice and we had good service. If you like noodles and dumplings, you will likely find something on the menu that hits the spot. P.S. Chopsticks, no forks... As I would expect from an authentic noodles and dumplings house.

Really good noodles, wished they closed later and had physical menus, but it is very yummy. Whenever I come here, I will usually order a bowl for quick lunch. Their broth is not very heavy and it’s very filling. The noodles have great chewiness and it is so soothing to eat after winding down from a long day of work. It’s always quiet and the workers are helpful.

Fresh Ingredients and Great Service The quality of the ingredients at Liuyishou really stands out. The beef was tender, the seafood was fresh, and the vegetables were crisp. The staff was super helpful in explaining the menu and recommending items. The broth was rich and flavorful, and I appreciated the variety of options for different spice levels. It’s a bit pricier than some other hot pot places, but the quality and experience are worth it!"

Another suggested stop by some friends, as their favorite HotPot in town. Liuyishou, didn't disappoint. From start to finish, they were attentive, quick to serve, fresh ingredients, wonderful flavors, filling, and priced fair for what you're getting. If Hot Pot is your thing, come check them out. The special broth had the perfect amount of flavor & spice. By the end of the meal, we were both sweating a little bit. Hehe. But if you like more heat, don't be afraid to ask for more. They can accommodate. The chicken broth was also amazing! It had such a robust flavor that I couldn't get enough of it. By the end I was mixing the two together and enjoying it my own way. The side bar, has everything from: seasonings, spices, vegetables, sauces, fruits, and more. You just have to grab a plate or bowl from under the bar and help yourself. The unlimited fresh watermelon drink just hit the spot as the perfect drink with the spicy special soup. This was another different item we really enjoy here. Parking can be difficult at times here, but there are multiple parking garages. Typically those are your best bets to get in and out quickly. Price I believe to be very fair for what you're getting. Fresh ingredients, fast service, and all you can eat for $30-$40 a person. That's hard to beat. We will definitely be back for more! Can't wait to try more of their variety of soup bases. What's your favorite? Any suggestions on the side dishes we should get? Until next time.

Very impressed with this place. We ordered delivery which was very prompt. The sesame chicken was good and very tender. The Wula chicken was extremely good! The Wula had more heat than anticipated, and though my tongue was burning, I couldn’t put it down because it was so flavorful! Both dishes were served with rice and both were $14.00 each. The spring rolls were basic but good. They were an add-on to the order. I will definitely order from this place again. I’m sure they use that heat in their other dishes.

We decided to venture outside of Chinatown for some of the best Sichuan cuisine in Houston. Upon arriving, we were greeted by tasteful and eloquent decor as well as friendly staff. The tables were equipped with traditional silverware as well as disposable chopsticks. Adequate for our liking. After placing our order, we rolled out our traditional place setting and prepared for a feast. We ordered the Sichuan Crispy Chicken, Sichuan Beef, and Sichuan Jumbo Shrimp. They were very delicious. The jumbo shrimp was the most unique compared to other sichuan restaurants we have eaten at and probably the best of the three dishes. The chicken and beef were on par with other highly rated Sichuan restaurants in Chinatown. The service was very good. Water and rice refills were on point. The waitresses were friendly and attentive. If you want to try something outside of Chinatown or simply don't want to deal with Houston traffic, this is a nice little gem in the world of sichuan cuisine.

First time order. Order was easy to place online, good prices for alot of food. I accidentally entered the incorrect pickup time, and was able to call and change it, the lady who answered was very nice. Ordered special fried rice and special egg foo young. The fried rice was really good, shrimp included were clean (which is very important to Me). Egg foo young wasn't BAD, but had a pasty floury undertone to it, but overall it was OK. Gravy was good. I'll be ordering from them again soon, looking to try the Mu shu.

Not disappointed in my first visit. Small but good customer service and food at reasonable prices.

I purchased General Joes from here last Friday, Dec 6th. The food was good and fresh. I was enjoying it until I found a long strand of hair wrapped in between the chicken pieces. I am AA and currently have in braids, so it absolutely was not my hair. I reached out online to admonish the business but hadn't received a response as of yet, so im placing it here. This is in no way to discourage other ppl, but I don't feel my concern was acknowledged. Please make sure that ALL workers have hairnets. I know they might be uncomfortable, but it is very NECESSARY. I wasn't feeling very well for two days after my visit. I hope someone sees this and uses it to change the workplace etiquette.

I always get the Special Fried Rice Large , ask to make it spicy. They never fail me and the price is right. Thank you Rice Bowl on Bellaire

They forgot our large fried rice… The food was overcooked. The beef sticks and chicken wings were an edible.. if you’re looking for a good restaurant THIS IS NOT IT!!!!

Terrible Chinese food. Chicken was dry and fried rice was the worst rice I've ever tasted in my life. Atmosphere was dark and dirty looking. Inventory for.kitchen supplies is stacked in the dining area for all to see. I don't even want to imagine the cleanliness of the kitchen.

This place has been here since I was a kid and nothing has changed other than the quality, which has improved. This is the most basic of Chinese buffets but done just right and for the right price. Nothing fancy here just working class families and a working class Chinese buffet.

I’ve gone here since I was a little kid, I cannot express how much I like this place! Amazing. I’d come here everyday if I could; I only care about the food, nothing else.

We checked out North China after some friends raved about it, and wow, they weren’t kidding—it was fantastic! From the second we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome. They were super friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right without hovering. You could tell they genuinely cared, which made the whole experience even better. We tried the San Dong Tofu, the Pong Lai Beef, and the crab puffs. Let me tell you, the flavors were on point. The tofu had this perfect texture and was loaded with flavor, and the beef was crispy and tasty. Every bite was a winner—honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite between the two. The atmosphere was great too. It felt cozy and inviting, the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy a good meal without any fuss. Whether you’re going out with family, catching up with friends, or even just craving a solid dinner, this place has you covered. Bottom line: North China is def worth the visit. Great food, awesome service, and a chill vibe. We’re already planning our next trip back to try more dishes. Highly recommend!

This place was delicious! We were seated right away! The food was fast. Everyone was super friendly. Anita was our waitresses. I haven't had pepper steak and rice in ages. Myvhusband had the sesame chicken. This was authentic and fresh. Not too much either. I would highly recommend

This Vietnamese restaurant is delicious! They offer a large, diverse menu with plenty of options to choose from. Every dish is fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Whether you're craving cá kho tộ, canh chua, or a stir-fry, there's something for everyone. Highly recommend!

One of my favorite restaurants from child to my adulthood. The fried squid and seafood rolls are best of all china town. Can’t also beat their lunch specials for $10.50. Yall must try them. 45 years standing tall.

**They do NOT have dim sum or the rice noodle dumplings anymore!!** I came here on a weekday, so that may have been what caused the problem I had. I ordered the Peasant Family Braised Pork ($18.95) and it would have been really good if it was actually hot. The Chinese spice flavor was there and the meat was tender and fatty, but it wasn't really hot. I was expecting it to be fresh hot because 1) it's a restaurant and 2) the other Google reviews said that their food took a while to come out because the food was being made fresh. However, my dish came out only 2 minutes after I ordered, which is great since that's really fast. HOWEVER, upon eating the meat, I realized that it wasn't exactly hot. It felt like it was made earlier in the day and then left under a heat lamp and then barely reheated for less than 2 minutes and served, which is kinda disappointing because I thought it would have been really amazing if not for that. The rice also tasted like it was made earlier in the day and then kept in the rice cooker/pot. It wasn't super hot and tasted like it was just about to go stale. It wasn't, but it was on the verge of being stale. The service was pretty good. The waitresses were attentive and helpful. One of them placed everything in a to-go container for me while I was paying the bill, which was really helpful and nice.

FRESH! It is very evident that the food cooked to order. It was an amazing flavor fest. The menu is quite traditional and lots of interesting items. I did ask for one item to be not spicy and they did an amazing job of keeping the flavor without the spice. You can order single meals but it is more fun to share. The rice was perfect. My only dislike, not a complaint, was that the food took a while to make, but there again, totally fresh and hand prepared, worth the wait. The atmosphere was good with the decor, but it would be a lot better with traditional music playing.

This was our first visit for dining in. They are geared for to go orders more than dining in. All the food came to the table in to go containers and the cutlery was very flimsy plastic. The wonton soup came in small plastic bowls. My wife aand I both got combination meals. The meals came with a choice of spring roll or egg roll, both of us chose egg rolls, they were pretty good. We both chose wonton soup, also good. One of us got steamed rice and one got fried rice, average. My wife did not like her moo goo gai pan, chicken was flavorless and fatty. I liked my slightly chewy General Tso's chicken, I had a hard time cutting the chicken into smaller pieces with the flimsy silverware.

We have ordered for delivery a few times. It's usually just okay. I enjoy the hot and sour soup, dumplings and crab Rangoons. This last time, I placed our order online through their website, knowing they won't automatically give chili oil. So I called to ask for some to be delivered with our order......or attempted to call 22 times (no joke)!! During one call, a guy answered, was rude and acted so confused that I was able to place an order through THEIR OWN WEBSITE! I asked if we could get chili oil with our order..he said a manager would call me back...they never did, so I attempted to call..and call...and call, to no avail. When I FINALLY got the manager to answer, the delivery driver was literally pulling up to drop off the food......with no chili oil!!! Also, the soup was incredibly hot, but everything else was barely warm! It'll be a long while before we order from here again...too many other affordable take out/delivery places around. But really...how many people with my same exact name and/or order number were ordering at that time that the guy couldn't just add the oil to the bag??..I mean, come on. And cold food? Nah.
