I order the shrimp and broccoli for lunch. I sit down to eat and bit something hard and almost chipped my tooth. I spit it out and it’s a damn pebble rock. How does a pebble get in your food? Maybe it came off the floor! NEVER EATING THERE AGAIN!!!

Great place for Asian food. Everything is delicious and service was super fast and easy. Online ordering is very easy and straightforward. Fried rice is delicious and lo mein is delicious too.

The delivery is quick and the people who work here nice. I ordered chicken wings and although I ordered 8, it was really 4 wings just split in half. They were super oily. The fries were bad because they were soggy. Fried rice didn’t have much flavor, it was heavy on the oil taste and the meat was boiled instead of fried. Each item was under $10 so I’m not mad but I wouldn’t dine here again.

Today I have another installment of D.C.’s worst rated food. Last week this place was rated 2.0 stars on Google. Magically it’s now rated 3.5 stars. Yelp puts them at 2.0 too. KNOW what to order from these carryout’s!! Trust!! . Where I am: Golden China . Location Reviewed: 1703 6th St., N.W. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes: Steak n Cheese, Fried Rice, Fries, Wings, General Tso’s Chicken, Beef n Broccoli, Egg Rolls, Lo Mein, Soups, Burgers, & MORE!! . Items Reviewed: Their Shrimp Egg Roll (With cabbage, sprouts, shrimp, & Duck sauce $3.30). DECENT. A standard egg roll from a Carryout. Greasy, but…edible while hot. Their Shrimp Fried Rice (with sprouts, soy sauce, & onions $9.10). DECENT. I had to add soy sauce to flavor this, but again…it’s edible. At least the shrimp were deveined. Their Half n Half (Half lemonade, & ice tea $3). DECENT. Sugary, but cold…not a drink for diabetics!! Their 4 Wings & French Fries (with salt, pepper, ketchup, Mumbo sauce, & hot sauce*One word in DC* on the fries, & just Mumbo sauce on the wings $10.15). DELICIOUS! The wings weren’t HUGE (which is indicative of them being genetically modified), and just doused in the mumbo sauce…tasty!! But I may be bias in this, because this meal is nostalgic for me. The Fries…DELICIOUS! This is how I’ve gotten my fries from carryout’s sine I was 12!! Sweet, spicy…eat these IMMEDIATELY, they’ll get soggy quick!! . The food in this place is mediocre, bordering on just plain bad. Ordered chicken chow mein to go and when I got home I saw some weird slop. Strictly speaking it was food. I could see chicken, vegetables, etc., but it was in some kind of clear broth with the consistency and color of snot. Maybe mine was just one in a hundred and the food is usually great. I’ll never know because I won’t return.

Did not fulfill order of 2 bigger plates and one bowl bought for pickup. Came home and one of the plates was missing the teriyaki chicken, the other entree. 2 entrees and 1 side is a plate but I bought it as a bigger plate for my mobile order.

Arrived between 7-8pm and two of the entrees that I ordered I had to wait for. So much food on the line wasn't ready. Kung pow chicken was mostly peanuts. Chicken and mushrooms were ok. The staff was very friendly but the portions were small at least mine was compared to what I saw going out the door. Very inconsistent. You would think they would be generous since I had to wait for my food. My double side of vegetables seemed like only half. Big problem. I'll have to stop going.

Found a roach in my food. I got home & got comfortable poured my food on a plate and it’s a whole bug…. I couldn’t get back to their restaurant fast enough. They were apologetic and gave me a refund but it’s just a no for me. I been here before and never had a problem but after this I can’t return. I lost my appetite & Went to bed hungry🥺

The food here is delicious! I had the Mongolian beef … it’s so good. I treat myself whenever I’m in the area. The staff is also very polite and professional.

Don’t waste your time and order from these cheap people!!! Waited over an hour for food. Then, as you can see in the picture, I ordered 6 wings with fries…where are the fries??????? SIX WINGS and two little Mumbo sauces, after specifically asking for EXTRA mumbo sauce. This irritated me so bad, like yall need to do better this is insane.

Good Chinese food with fast service and reasonable prices. Definitely a solid spot for a quick tasty meal, especially during during lunch special.

I ordered the beef with broccoli dinner. The beef was rubbery, the broccoli was over cooked, and there was too much sauce. It was tolerable because I was hungry. But, the worst part was the long hair that was in my food. As I was about to eat my next bite, I felt a pull. I looked down at my bowl and saw the long, black hair hanging from my fork as I was lifting it up to put in my mouth. It was the most disgusting experience ever! I question the sanitary conditions of this establishment. I gag when I think about it. 🤢🤢

I used to love Major's pre lock down. I have moved away and I order now. They are horrible now. They ignore order notes. I like hot oil. They don't give it. I don't like mumbo. I tell them to keep it. I don't want fries or rice, but they make you order one or the other. I choose rice and get old raggedy fries. The shrimp was mushy in my mei fun. 3 strikes you're out. I am not ordering from them again. I don't have money to waste, and when I order, I'm hungry. I hate having to cook after I ordered, because the food is bad. I could've just cooked.

$5.95 lunch special till 3PM. Good value. Super friendly staff. I called in an order, and they even called me back after 10 mins to ask when I was arriving to pickup. No eating area inside.

Pretty extensive menu. I got the sweet & sour chicken and hot & sour soup. The chicken was okay but the fried rice was really good and the soup was hearty and delicious. And you really can't beat the prices. Worth a stop for sure

This just might be the most ghetto restaurant I’ve ever been in so you got the people sitting in there high off of what God only knows what threatening you spitting on the window, spitting on the floor you have a high flux of drug addicts in and out the door and now let’s get to the food The food is horrible. I ordered a fish and cheese with french fries they gave me last week french fries reheated and when I asked for new french fries he said 10 to 15 minutes. I waited to 15 minutes when he says with a smile oh, you could’ve been your stuff been ready. I told you five minutes I said now you told me 10 to 15 minutes cause I definitely asked it’s gonna take you 10 to 15 minutes to make new fries OK so then you give me half cooked fries because I said I want them so I don’t want them fried crusty and hard so now you what you don’t have to do is worry about me ever coming back to your restaurant S

It’s ok but… I ordered 3 wings with fried rice when I get home I open my food the I saw two wings really small I thought it was pigeons wings and the other wing was ok so my advice don’t buy chicken wings you will be disappointed

Some reviews are too biased, maybe from competitors. I always order foods for delivery in here, sometimes carryout. The cashier and other staff are really nice, and most importantly, they make delicious wings, shrimps, and fries. Fried rice is good too. Will order again.

I’ve searched high and wide for mumbo sauce closest to the OLD style 80s mumbo where it was Rich, thick burgundy color not all watered down like this new Mambo sauce, but I know supply and demand made carry outs start ‘stepping on’ the ingredients. This place here tho.. as far as TASTE, definitely is a hint of the Golden days. It’s my Go-To
