Hong Kong Kitchen
Been going here for 6+ years, well priced good food. Management and driver are excellent. I often try to tip extra over the long years and they refuse me. These are great people running a great business. I literally can't recommend this place enough, recently renovated the seating area too, when friends come into town I'm going to take them here because I know they won't miss.
I really liked Hong Kong Kitchen around 2020. With the constant price increases and I believe lowering of their own quality this place is not justified into staying in business. Do yourself a favor skip this and go spend $20 a person some place better
Panda Express
I like Panda Express frankly, so I'm a bit biased. But this one was timely as well as efficient. Decent food, and employees were good, I'd come again.
Love this place because I get to be around heroes and patriots that are active duty, retired, guard, and reserves. The food is good and there is plenty of seating. Convenient because NEX, NFCU, and refill pharmacy are all here. The only minor complaint I have is whenever the manager is serving food he is very stingy with the portions.
Mayflower Chinese Restaurant
I got the Shrimp and Broccoli and Orange Chicken, and both were spot on. The shrimp were super fresh, the broccoli had the perfect crunch, and the sauce was delicious. The Orange Chicken was crispy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of sweetness. Big portions, good prices, and really friendly service. Definitely coming back!
I was mildly buzzed walking in this joint. From the door, I didn't see prices besides on the lunch menu, the dining area had boxes stacked on the right side, there was no ambient sound or anyone sitting in there. When I was outside still, the front lady looked me dead in the eyes and yawned like she hadn't slept in 3 days. I knew this place was either garbage or serving straight heat. I go up and ask, "How big is the Sesame Chicken?" She imitates my hands and says, "Big". I ordered that with BBQ ribs and Lo mein even though the only lo mein on the menu was shrimp, she asked, "What kind?". The place gave off trying to make rent vibes, the prices were higher than Blue Pearl but quality was better than Panda Express. I dont usually take left overs but this place had me feeling satisfied and saving some for tomorrow.
Hunan City Restaurant
Absolutely love this place!! Classic comfort Chinese restaurant but the food is actually good. Orange chicken/beef is my favorite and they use real oranges?? Mixed veggies are good and not mushy
Worst Chinese take out I’ve ever had. Sweet & sour chicken was neither and came without any onion, pepper or pineapple. Cashew chicken was WAY over salted. 2 stars instead of 1 only because vegetable egg foo young was passable, as was beef with snow peas. Delivery was speedy.
Panda Express
5 stars for 5 reasons 1. The 2 entree and side is perfect! Beijing beef is delicious and blaz bourbon chicken both were crispy! Seemed fresh 2. Fast service 3. Price is 10.50 for 2 entree and side 4. Good crab ragoons! Fresh 5. Good amount of food.
I hate coming there on my lunch break I swear there’s always new people there can’t serve for shit. They gave u the last of the crumb and it be old. I will never waste my 16.00 there portion be little and old food. I didn’t eat yet just put the sauce on my rice but this the food I received. Panda Express needs to hiring better server that understand to serve better
Famous Wok
Great guys working over lunch hour, but the food was a huge miss. Anything glazed was relatively flavorless. The bourbon chicken was full of flavor, however. And the white rice was perfectly sticky.
In the mall. Ordered from in past. Very friendly staff but the food missed the mark. Ordered 2 meat, 1/2 veg & noodles. Veggies & Teriyaki chicken were way over cooked. Steak lacked flavor & breading was coming off. Noodles lacked flavor .
Pei Wei Asian Kitchen
We eat here often food is always great, order comes out correct and service of employees are always kind! My kids enjoy their kid meal options and are always mixing it up. Also may not be significant to some, but they Never charge for a water cup, which is fantastic!
Trust the reviews, the food here is TERRIBLE. We unfortunately ordered a family feast (so we tried numerous dishes, all of which were intolerable) and not a single member could finish it. Comments were as follows: “this tastes like weird sweet soap”, “the lettuce wraps taste like a burnt curling iron smells,” “why is the chicken that color?”, “something tastes rotten.” PRAYING we aren’t all sick tonight. $60+ down the drain and totally wasted. AWFUL. Do not recommend. (Pictured are leftovers after family of 6 couldn’t eat it)
Golden Chopsticks
First time here. I had the seafood casserole with steamed rice - yum! Cleaned my plate and it was a generous portion. Excellent service and a variety of selections.
I went to try this place after they reopened their new location closer to Herrera's and was very disappointed the first two times I ordered from them. The first time I ordered the veggie plate and was kind of surprised at the the lack of variety of veggies (there was maybe 3, I think), I expected more of a stir fry type dish but instead, the vegetables were sitting in a thick light colored liquid. I was a little too thrown off by it so, I just ate the white rice. The second time I tried them, I ordered the sweet and sour chicken but could only eat 2 pieces as the chicken tasted like FISH. I figured that maybe they used the same oil to fry both? I gave them a third try because their lunch plates are VERY cheap (they include a bowl of soup and an egg roll) and was glad I did because their beef and broccoli was MUCH better than the chicken and veggies. My plate came with two scoops of rice (I went with the fried rice) and a very tasty egg roll! I chose not to have the soup as I didn't like it the first time I got it (dumpling) and didn't want to waste it. The young man who works the counter is very friendly and helpful, while the female is cold and rude, so the 4 stars in service are really for the young man. My opinion is that their lunch plate prices (about 10 bucks) are fair for the quality and taste of the food they serve but I definitely would not pay dinner prices.
Panda Express
It became my favorite fast food for a few months, but I won't come back again. I'm officially done with fast food. There's no consistency in the quality and tonight I found a physical contaminant on my chicken. It appears to be a piece of metal from something they use to clean with. Can't imagine what would've happened if I had accidentally swallowed it.
Paid $10 for beef and broccoli… look at the attached photo and see for yourself. If you’re a vegetarian I recommend the broccoli beef. Otherwise, it’s tastier and more cost effective if you cook it yourself: 1. Cut the meat super thin, season it, and put soy sauce and corn starch 2. Sear it really hard in oil on a pan 3. Take it all out and pour some beef stock into the pan 4. Season, soy sauce, honey, etc. 5. Mix water with corn starch and pour it in slowly until it gets thick 6. Put the meat back in and mix Don’t be a victim of shrinkflation!!!! But the girl at the drive thru window was very nice and it wasn’t her fault. I gave an extra star because of her
Double Dragon II
I have been eating here for years, and both their prices and attention to detail are unrivaled. Spectacular service from the employees and portions sizes are well above expected. Their fried rice, chicken dishes, and spring rolls are some of the best I've ever had, and I couldn't be happier with this establishment.
The food was not good. The chicken rubbery like it was microwaved or over cooked a lot! The eggroll was blan. The fried rice was unflavored and watery. That is my favorite part. $50 down the drain. I don’t think I can chance coming back. Neither, my son, or husband, ate there General Tso and that is their favorite. I had to go get them more food. I heard good things, what a disappointment. Good thing, the service was great! The server was polite and my food was ready. I tipped but the food was just not good. Portion sizes are big, like that just hit the mark on flavor today. Sorry.
Panda Express
Updating as last week no power so had to go elsewhere and now lobby is closed for some reason.. this location has issues clearly. Decent serving size and was hot and fresh. However, the service was bit slow as out of alot so folks waiting around. In addition, lots of the tables/seats and floor were dirty.
This was the first time I actually was super disappointed in the food I got from this chain. I ordered on the app, and requested cook to order food per the reviews. I got old and cold food! The chicken wasn’t even the orange chicken I ordered. I’ve never had this one and I hated it! It was old and just overly crunchy. The noodles were little bits, not even long normal noodles. The Beijing beef was soft, not dark and crispy like normally. I didn’t like this location at all. People would rather wait on fresh hot food, than receive unfresh food that’s been sitting there
Lao Sze Chuan
Amazing restaurant with the best Peking duck you can get in the US. I knew of Lao Sze Chuan because I thought it had the best Peking Duck in the US when I visited the ones in Chicago. When I found out that there is one that I can order Uber Eats while in DC I decided to give it a try and it was so good I decided to come to the restaurant the next day to try the duck while it's warm. The restaurant is huge and very very well decorated. I almost felt like I was in China when I stepped in because of how well decorated it is. The people working here are interestingly not Chinese but I think they did a great job and you can tell they try their best even if they can be inexperienced at times. I'm surprised how much I liked the non Chinese servers here because I usually am picky about that for Asian restaurants. The duck is phenomenally roasted and extremely authentic. It's pretty much the best you can get here in the US. The skin is crispy with the right amount of crunchiness. The cuts are well balanced between meat and skin even though it's not done by a Chinese duck cutter. The girl did decent job even if there are cuts that should look more effortless but I like that she is certainly trying her best. Overall it didn't distract from the amazing taste. The price is also extremely reasonable. The spicy appetizer of beef tendon is also on point. It has the correct amount of spiciness. I know Lao Sze Chuan sometimes is a fusion restaurant and sometimes do mix some Cantonese food such as dim sum and Chow fun but I don't recommend them. I think you should order the duck and some Sichuan food here only. Overall I'm super glad it's expanding to more places and hopefully someday it will come to NorCal. I do hope they can survive because this location is amazing but I'm worried it's not as popular as it should be.
Food was good and so was service but plating of food wasn't setting the price. We ordered a cocktals like Golden tiger: 5/10 Dragon sour: 6/10 Berry Delight: 5/10 We ordered appetizer: Pan Fried pork Dumpling: 6/10 (good taste but plating was ok) Crunchy Cucumber Salad: 8/10 Entre we ordered Cumin lamb served on sizzling iron plate: 4/10 (it was not served on sizzling iron plate) Chef special dry chilli kobee beef: 7/10 (food was good but plating was not at all setting the price) Overall food was good taste was good service was good but not worth the price.
