Edit. Went from 5 stars to 2 I'm not really sure if it were due to it being 7pm, but wow. We couldn't even eat our pork fried rice, had to throw it out was spoiled. The smell as soon as you opened it was rancid. Do not get food after a certain time cause it's just old. Eggrolls were melted into a pink color inside and soggy. Just an awful experience. Complete opposite of what we are used to with this establishment. Been going here for a long time so disappointed to say the least, especially when we all look forward to this food. Maybe close the doors at 6pm? Just a suggestion if you are going to give customers food from the day time..

First time trying the food here and was not impressed at all. General Tso's Chickens sauce was extremely runny with no hint of spiciness at all ever ordered it extra spicy. Ordered vegetable fried rice and it was vegetable boiled rice. Would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Been ordering from here from past decade or so. Never had a problem that i recall. Friendly staff, Hǎo shíwù. I usually get sesame tofu. Today I got two veggie spring rolls. Orders come w cookie. They offer lunch special. Indoor seating as well.

The food is great,a little expensive for some dishes but fresh & hot with a lot of hospitality which goes a long way from a hard day's work...

i did not very much enjoy the food, but i am rating 5 stars anyways for these reasons as follows: from the strip mall location, sparsely decorated entry way, the chandelier on the cheap school ceiling, fake flowers and classic paper chinese zodiac placemats on the tables, and the music playing so softly it's almost silent inside save for the clink of forks and plates from the four or so tables in for lunch (forks, not chopsticks, provided) and friendly kitchen chatter just out of earshot, this place sends me directly back to 8-year-old nostalgia, when my father would take me to places like this on days together, back in texas, when life was easy and simple. prompt help, choice of seat. lunch specials (many to chose from) come with pork fried rice, (which i asked to not be included so to my dietary preferences (god-related) so i cannot rate this dish), a choice of soup, wonton chips with sweet-and-sour dip, and a pot of hot tea. the water arrives in a goblet. perhaps i should have studied the menu longer, but my choices were as such: very goopy and gelatinous and disturbingly tasteless beef chow mein (i attempted to sprinkle some pepper in hopes of helping the poor thing out, but way too much came out of the shaker and it was pepper chow mein from then on), and egg drop soup that was ok but still very bland. i dipped my wonton chips into a combination of the soup and sauce which i liked the best out of everything. i really liked the tea. point is, this amount of food is simply worth the $

Ordered food to go. Ordered shrimp with broccoli, got shrimp with cabbage? I couldn't tell honestly. The shrimp was overcooked and rubbery. Overall, super unsatisfying. I don't get why this place is so highly rated. I don't expect awesome Chinese food here in the Poconos, but even for "Chinese food in the Poconos", this place is sub par. Go somewhere else to eat. And why does everyone want tips for me picking up my food?? I worked in the food service industry for years and never expected tips for pick up orders...what exactly have you done to deserve a tip?? I don't get it. Anyway....there is better Chinese food elsewhere.

The Boat House impressed with a delicious lunch. The wedge salad was bursting with freshness and flavor, and their potato wedges were absolutely delicious. For drinks, the pomegranate mule was a real kickstarter, and their beer selection was extensive and impressive. The service, while friendly enough, could have been a bit more attentive and inspired.

Where did the good reviews come from? I guess there were before they changed owners about 18 months ago. We found out the hard way. We came here after reading the reviews for a late lunch. Also, lots of restaurants in this area are not open M-Thurs. for lunch anyway. Upon arrival, we noticed the musty smell that was close to dirty socks or unwashed feet. Lacking options, we stayed. The restaurant was empty- we thought service would be fast. No, it took more than half an hour to get our food even though we were the only patrons. The food was the biggest disappointment after all. The chicken sandwich was cold and tasted like rubber. We ordered 2 appetizers and 4 sandwiches. Only the pulled pork sandwich was edible. Wow!! Worst food in our lives in all the continents we have ever been to. Not recommending to any friend. Enemies, go ahead.

I have been going here for years. The food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. You get a good amount of food for the price. You also get plenty of meat too, not just veggies, unless that what you want. It's takeout only but there is plenty of parking. I can't say what my favorite dish is, because they are all so good. I recommend this place all the time. I love it.

The food here is always amazing. Way better than any other chinese food spot in this area. I always get the spare ribs and they always come out so good with a lot of sauce. Never burnt perfectly crispy and tender. The sweet and sour chicken is always on point, never doughy. The sesame chicken and the orange chicken always comes out. Perfect, a little, tiny bit of crisp around the edges. But nice and fluffy chicken inside and yeah, the sweet and sour sauce. They always get right. I wish they had delivery.I would order from them way more. But it's worth it to go pick it up considering I live right around the corner. I don't order from any other Chinese spot in the area. Because this place is absolutely top notch what you want out of a cheap chinese food spot in your local area. I've honestly tried the rest of them. I just had house of chen last night just because my wife had ordered it by accident, and let me tell you, I do not want any seconds. Whereas this spot I eat this for the whole weekend when i order here. I love it. !!!

Five Star II 0

Five Star II

At **Five Star II**, the culinary experience is nothing short of exceptional, a harmonious blend of flavor and tradition. The **Chicken Lo Mein** was a delight—each bite was savory, with tender chicken pieces and perfectly stir-fried noodles, balanced with a medley of vegetables. The richness of the sauce lingered on the palate, elevating the dish to a new level of satisfaction. The **Pork Fried Rice** was robust and hearty, a perfect accompaniment. Every grain of rice was imbued with flavor, and the tender pork pieces added depth to this fulfilling dish. The **Pork Fried Wontons**, while flavorful, had a slightly firmer texture than expected. Despite this, they were still enjoyable, with a crispy exterior and a savory filling. The **Egg Roll** was simply scrumptious. Crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful vegetables, it was the perfect start to the meal. I wholeheartedly recommend **Five Star 2** for anyone seeking a delicious and satisfying meal. Whether for a quick lunch or a relaxed dinner, this spot promises to deliver a true taste of Chinese cuisine.

This has been our go to spot for years. Each time is incredible. The portions are large, and prices are reasonable. Food isn't greasy, everything is full of flavor, and they're always friendly.

One thing my son and I have been missing since moving to the area 3 years ago are Poke bowls. I was very excited to find out that secret tea house started serving these as an option! Finally made it here yesterday and was not disappointed at all. - Fish is fresh (don't be scared of the fact it's raw) - Lots of options for the bowls including cooked chicken, shrimp, and eel (delicious) - Atmosphere is on point. Really nice, aestheitically pleasing place. - Best boba choices in the area (I'm not a fan of boba but my kids love it) The couple that owns the place are great. The husband grew up in the area. I was NOT paid or coerced to write this review, I just love reviewing places that I feel deserve it, especially in an area like this where we are lacking a thing or two.

SO DELICIOUS! I ordered on Uber eats during happy hour and it was the best thing ever . The cookies and cream boba & the protein poke bowl. I did spicy tuna and crab as my proteins . SO YUMMY !!! I loved everything and I will definitely be coming back . Definitely a need and did not disappoint ! ;)

Tony's Restaurant & Pizzeria 0

Tony's Restaurant & Pizzeria

We’ve been looking for a good pizza since moving from NYC 6 months ago. After trying about 5 restaurants we think we’ve found our favorite so far in Tony’s. The pizza is good, the right amount of cheese and sauce, not too stingy, good dough, sauce is tasty. I liked the spinach roll, good size and seasoned well. My husband tried the pasty and was happy.

I’ve been here quite a few times and have gotten many different things from wings, to cheesesteaks, to chicken vodka parm sandwiches, etc…but I need to talk about this pizza special today. On Mondays you can get a large pie for $9.99 and I had no idea about that until now or I’d be here like every Monday. Delicious pizza, crispy and thin, great cheese to sauce ratio, great seasoning. Carlo from the original Tony’s is here still slinging out some pies and Tommy (who purchased it some years back) does a great job with the food. The walls all have awesome decor from old movies and stuff like that and they took down the old wall that was there that felt unnecessary and now it’s a wide open dining room. I’ll continue to go back…Tonys absolutely - Didn’t Suck!

Goldberg's Bagels and Deli 0

Goldberg's Bagels and Deli

I came here for lunch and was underwhelmed. I grew up in the NJ shore and lived for more than ten years in Manhattan so I know good bagels. The few bagels they had left were quite …ok. The service was Ok. They place survives because it’s across the street from a university and a hospital. They told me there were no baked good goods because the baker is on leave. I came in at noon and the inventory of the other bagels was next to zero- see the pictures. Not recommended at all

Here again!!!! outstanding service and probably the BEST#1 egg cheese and bacon ketchup bagel I have ever had!!!! Goldberg's Bagels is a gem in the area, offering a delightful selection of bagels reminiscent of those found in New York City. These bagels are not only generously sized but also reasonably priced, making for a satisfying and affordable breakfast or snack option. The standout feature of Goldberg's Bagels is their extensive assortment of bagel flavors, all freshly made every morning. Pair these with a variety of cream cheese flavors, and you have a winning combination. It's a bagel lover's paradise. The staff's greets you with warmth and friendliness. The quality of the food is evident, with it high quality from the bagels, spreads and coffee and the staff matches that quality with excellent customer service. Goldberg's Bagels has an outstanding range of bagels, Kasier rolls, spreads and sandwiches with high quality meats!!! the overall experience with staff is 5Stars. A great place to sit and have a delicious breakfast or lunch.

The food was amazing!!! Got the Large plate of Oxtail with white rice and collard greens for $18.00. Everything was amazing. My boyfriend had the oxtail with rice and peas and cabbage. That was amazing too. Had the spicy beef pattie in the coco bread... that was good. Also had the Mac and Cheese as well as the yams. Everything was really good. Quick and friendly strive. We will be back again! Definitely a MUST TRY.

Delicious food ! Quick service ! I am from Allentown where there are numbers of Caribbean food restaurants nearby but this is by far the only location that I CRAVE. The food is too good not to try. Been coming here for 3 years. Highly recommend

Excellent Pizza and Outstanding Service! I recently visited Frank’s Pizza, and it was an amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. Especially for me the Pizza. The crust was perfectly baked, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, making it a great spot for a family dinner or a casual meal with friends. Plenty of parking space. If you’re looking for a place with great food and excellent service, I highly recommend Frank’s Pizza. I’ll definitely be coming back for more! So will you. One trip, and it’s a done deal. Be blessed my friend.

The chicken franchise was soggy and it tasted like the pasta underneath. It tasted like old boiled pasta with old cheese. The shrimp scampi was OK. There was too much liquid in the container and all i tasted was a garlic bread taste. I’m Puerto Rican and my chicken franchise and shrimp scampi is better than this. The so called garlic bread didn’t have no garlic taste to it, but it sure did have red sauce spread all in the inside too over with melted butter. I never seen this before which makes me question. Was this really garlic bread? Was it cooked for my dish or did it come from another dish with some type of red sauce? The lid on the aluminum tray was broken therefore, this can easily lead to a spillage which it did spill all over inside the bag. I am not a picky eater but this was horrible food.

Olive Garden Italian Restaurant 0

It must have been closed to 25 years the last time I eat at Olive Garden! But I still remember its bottomless sausage soup, bread sticks n my go to seafood Alfredo. After all these years, I ate at Stroudsburg's Olive Garden and my go to favorites are still the same. Soup n bread sticks were still tasty n comforting. My seafood Alfredo still has plenty of shrimp n bay scallops. The Alfredo sauce was still creamy to my liking. A few pieces of the pasta were a bit undercooked but the creamy Alfredo sauce was able to mask the undercooked part. Janna S was my server n she's great. A little slow at the beginning because she appeared to be the only server in my section of the restaurant. But she was very attentive half way when more service was needed around my area. Thanks.

I give this place a three because the salad and the appetizer were very good. The entrees tasted good, but very salty. Unable to eat. The manager came over and was very understanding and took care of us. The waitress was very pleasant and always asking you if you needed anything.
