OK, this place is progressively getting worse and worse as far as food quality I’ve been eating in this place for many years I want to chicken and broccoli tonight taste like chicken broth taste like something. I would make at home and screw up.lol that’s my honest opinion case like something that should’ve been that couldn’t have been lol Did they change the sauce? It’s weird I feel funny telling them, but their prices are expensive and i should tell them so the food only can get beter The managers just came up to me and she’s gonna give me Steam chicken She was very polite. We both agreed there was a new chef on. The waiters and waitresses are very very polite and they deserve a compliment for shure The food is no reflection on them But if it doesn’t taste right, make sure you tell these people so they fix it because it progressively getting worse as I said at the past five months

The service we received was good. We were greeted with a smile by the host and she was very helpful and patient when we asked questions. The food however was nasty. My boyfriend’s rice tasted like it was a month old rice instead of a day old rice. My shrimp lo mein didn’t have an ounce of seasoning. I had to use some of the soy sauce from my dumplings to bring it to life a little. The chicken was dry. My dumplings however were amazing. Overall I would go back for the dumplings and that’s about it.

Came here while visiting a local friend. I was amazed with the ambiance of the place. I asked to be seated near the newer renovated area and was kindly given permission to. My attendance as during a weekday around 12/1pm and the workers present were limited. Regardless, we were served promptly and were provided clarification when we asked questions. The food options were limited for the lunch special however the main entrees were all available. When the food arrived at the table we were shocked at the portion size. Having been to many Indian restaurants, this restaurant offers smaller portion sizes. In addition to smaller portion sizes some the meat dishes were not as tender as other restaurants I’ve been to. Spice route Indian Cuisine offers customers a nice ambiance and clean environment go enjoy Indian food, but should consider larger portion sizes and more tenderization of the meat ( particularly the lamb ).

Some of the dishes are excellent and exceptionally good. For e.g. Panner Achari was just amazing. Manchow soup and sweetcorn soup were just awesome! Malai kofta was comparable to taste but not the best. Breads were alright. Daal tadla was average, but Makhani was better. Deserts were good. Service is excellent. Prices are definitely on the higher side. We were 8 of us, and Bill ran up to about $30+ average per person.

I called to ask how busy they were as I have leukemia and can’t have a lot Of exposure to a lot of people, she said it was not busy at all and she could seat us far away from others. We arrived at 4 pm and there were only 2 other tables (4 people) there. We ordered, our food came out quickly, was hot and delicious. For appetizers we had the crab Rangoon and the chicken satay, both were excellent, at first I wasn’t sure about the peanut sauce as it was a bit heavy on the curry but 3 bites in and it was addictive! I had the Hunan chicken, (which I’d never had before) the amount of vegetables in it was impressive and everything was fresh. My husband had the chicken pad Thai which was excellent. Portions were very generous and we took home enough for likely 2 more meals for us. The staff, wow! Our waitress Sage was incredibly kind, courteous, respectful and considerate. Every time she came to our table she put a mask on l, which I can’t tell you how much I appreciated that. I didn’t ask her to, she just did it and that shows me that she values others and respects their situations. She was attentive, friendly and quick, and clearly a hard worker. So refreshing as you rarely get this kind of experience anymore.

The staff was SO FRIENDLY!!! Very clean place, nice big menu, everything was delicious. The seaweed salad was amazing. If we were local this would definitely be a regular spot!

Last time we got takeout, in both my husband's meals he found long hair. Obviously we didn't want to finish.

Will be eating here again. Wouldn't eat inside, but their take out surprised me. Shrimp toast, chicken wings, steamed dumplings & wonton soup was all tasty. Plus they have a special of spending $50 get a free 2 liter.

Quick, affordable and very consistent and delicious food. Great local Chinese restaurant for take-out. Very lucky to have it in the neighborhood. They will accommodate your spice level, more or less, depending on how you'd like it. Very friendly. Highly recommended.

I don't understand how one order of general tso chicken and crab Rangoons came out 29.00 dollars. My order was processed by children so I am not about to argue with kids about prices but I feel like I got over charged. Will not shop here again.

The meal I had at China Castle was the best Chinese food I have ever eaten. Each part of my meal was juicy and tasty, to the point of me going out of my comfort zone and try a mushroom in my dish, which I usually avoid and dislike. Even when it was something I normally do not enjoy, the food was amazing. The water chestnuts in my dish we're not too hard or too soft, the one bite of sweet and sour combo amazed me with the tempura batter, somehow being absolutely perfect. It was like the sweet and sour chicken I had growing up was somehow made wrong, and I was awoken to a perfected meal. My one regret is discovering such meal right before their day of the week off. My meal was wonderful, and my wallet is not in ruin.

Awesome Yum yum! Try the sesame chicken all white meat! (There is a little up charge but so worth it!) Always fast, always amazing . Thank you. Still, amazing food has been consistent, plus they have dine in, and no stupid mask neeed like other places.

Egg drop soup is see through and no flavor. I got a combination orange chicken and lo mein with ZERO flavor. Never again will we be ordering from here. Save yourself the money and order from somewhere else!

I went to order food for delivery and worker there was so good darn rude and disrespectful towards me. She tried pushing me to get a combination meal and wanted the lunch meal I stead and had an attitude about it and all.

Order was wrong. She misunderstood the order. Paid for food that was provided. Checked everything over on the receipt. Was shorted a beef lo-mien so I went in to get another and told her I asked for 2 over the phone. Waited 15 min longer for correction. Got home and opened the bag. They gave me beef on a stick instead of ribs! 😞 How hard is it to get an order right? 🤦🏻‍♂️😒

Never had any issues before Order online which is very easy But I guess they did not ready the order all they way. See our order Asked for extra soy sauce for 3 Got no chop sticks which requested Only got the large wonton soup but not the one requested for the combination sweet and sour chicken. Only gave us one container for the sweet and sour sauce, we ordered a separate order of sweet and sour chicken (one should come with each)

google says you open and when i call i get a message that says you are closed but you will be open the next day. Everytime i go to order from here you closed i wont waste my time trying again. the fact i recommended you to soo many people i will not anymore!!! 😡😡😡😡

Not sure why ratings were good that’s why we ordered. First time ordering. Pretty expensive. Lo Mein was bland dark meat chicken and loaded with undercooked onions, no flavor at all. See picture. Chicken fried rice was bland also. Cheese wontons were good but very crispy and sharp on the mouth. Egg rolls garbage. Would never order again, worst yet in Scranton. Try Hot Wok for some good edible Chinese.

Has to be the oddest Asian food restaurant I have been to with the food. All the reviews said it was the best in the area so we decided to give it a try. All the sauce in the food we ordered was like a thick jelly rather than a liquid. The “jelly” stuck to the food and lacked a flavor so it did not enhance or elevate the main ingredients. Maybe we will try some steamed dishes in the future, try and avoid the jelly.

Yo Po is arguably the best Chinese place I’ve found around here in terms of balancing price and quality. $8 after tax for this lunch special is a bargain—undercutting the cost of most McDonalds meals while being way healthier. Their fried rice and lo mein are top contenders compared to all other Chinese restaurants I’ve tried in NEPA. Being a North Pocono graduate, I’ve eaten from here for years and their food has always been consistently good. When I moved to Scranton I really started to miss it. Now that I work at the Verizon store in the same plaza, I’ve been grabbing lunch from here at least once a week. Cannot recommend this place enough.

FuDa was great. We ordered the shrimp hibachi and steak and chicken Hibachi. I loved the fried rice, but my shrimp was more on the chewy side. Each order came with a soup and a salad. I had the orange flavored ramune soda which was amazing. I would definitely come back again, our server was very helpful and kind. The resturant looked very clean.

Dined here for the second time. I had the Dragon and Phoenix. Very beautiful dining area. Service was top notch. Overall great experience on both visits. I had the orange chicken today and it was very tasty. I ordered it extra spicy.

Hands down, some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. The place is really small (only one eat-in table), but the food was AMAZING. The staff is friendly enough, but they mean business, too. They do an amazing takeout business as well. Everything we tried was delicious. We're from out of town, but we'll be back if we're back in this direction again. SO good!!!

I honestly cannot say enough great things about the quality and tasty food Eastern Wok provides NEPA. I’ve been a patron for years and will be for many years to come. Over many years, I believe I’ve tried every single Chinese takeout restaurant in the Scranton area and, as a transplanted NY’er, my standards are high and the only Chinese takeout in the Scranton area that comes the closest to Canal St. standards is Eastern Wok. Like many others have told me, the tiniest of holes in the wall always have the best food. Thank you Eastern Wok for providing our area respectable, delicious and tasty Chinese food!! The delivery is excellent, quality food at reasonable prices. As a transplanted NY’er, we love our Chinese food on Friday nights and Eastern Wok absolutely is far above the best of every other Chinese takeout restaurant I’ve tried in over a dozen years. The high quality ingredients, quality meats and fish, vegetables and small details like dishes not being overwhelmed with salt, grease and sugar show that someone cares in the product they are serving and delivering. Since I’ve discovered this hidden gem, I’ve never once had a bad dish and I appreciate that because it’s a treat for me to enjoy takeout and appreciate the value I get for my money. Wonderful menu to explore, quality meats, fish, vegetables and not drowned in salty, sugary sauces. The best choice for Chinese in NEPA, in my opinion.
