Consistently great food! Every time I'm working in the area this is my go to place for takeout. I love the chicken fried rice it's very tasty & not expensive a small is a generous portion & only $8, for me it's two meals. Another favorite of mine are the chicken egg rolls, always hot & crispy. The staff is friendly & helpful & they have earned my loyal business. I've been coming about 3 years now & never one bad experience. I can't say that about many places.

Ordered to-go 2-5-25 chef took the order over the phone. He was happy to accommodate my special order request of chicken vegetable soup with a clear/white broth. Me and my wife are under the weather and we're very happy to come home and enjoy this wonderfully prepared soup. Shrimp egg rolls were also delicious.

Tried Rice King for the first time and I’m glad I did. Ordered takeout of Hunan pork, vegetable lo-mein and steamed dumplings. Both vegetables and pork were very fresh and each dinner was seasoned as it should be with generous portions. The dumplings were large and savory. I arrived few minutes early from pickup time given when I phoned my order to find everything ready and nicely bagged up. The owner greeted me when I entered and was pleasant to talk with. I’ll visit Rice King again.

Was just passing by on a road trip and stopped at Rice King! The food was really good! Very flavorful, and served in generous portions. The staff was friendly, I don't know why the negative reviews about the lady but she was nice and had a positive attitude, definitely recommend this spot if you're craving some tasty Chinese food around Pittsburgh area

I really wanted to like it cause it has the best kind if dumpling- chonky bois. They were good but not amazing. The Capital Chicken was a weird version I've never seen before. Very watery, bland taste. It's not the flat crunchy capital chicken. Service was top tier!!! Very friendly staff~ I'd recommend trying it out for yourself.

They have great food with the dining hall is closed right now. it’s all carry out.

I ate there yesterday, but held off making this review to see if I got sick last night. The food is subpar for a Chinese restaurant. The General Tso was not spicy and tasted like they added ketchup. Most entrees on the buffet were bland and lacked vegetables. There were two glaring issues from someone who eats Chinese at least once a week. The wonton soup and egg rolls were flavorless. Second, all the tables were disgustingly sticky. I overheard the waiter tell a husband and wife who came to eat, after they refused to sit at two dirty tables, the reason the tables are sticky is that they are 25 years old. Seriously!!! All that being said, the silverware and dishes were all clean. They had some amazing pot stickers, nice after eating ice cream selection, a large desert/fruit area, and my waiter was very nice. Haven't eaten here in over a year and I can tell you the place has gone downhill. Shame because it used to be good.

The food was terrible dry, over cooked, hard to bit into. Trays were pretty bare minimum. This place is gross and dirty. Kitchen looked dirty and place did not seem to have heat they had electric heaters in the bathroom. No prices listed for the buffet we never got straws or napkins I had to ask for them. The waitress was very rude acting the service sucked. We finished our food because we don't like wasting food. I found two good things to eat there out of 8 things I had. After we were done we decided not to go for seconds we went to checkout and pay and my friend paid for us. He asked for his change oh your not leaving a tip and he said no we are not she was very rude about everything and she did not even give him the right change back like she was gonna pocket it. Please what ever you do don't waste your time in this slum hole it's like walking into hell and wanting to leave as soon as possible.

The chicken with rice soup tasted like they added rice to the boiling chicken and called it a day. It didn't come with crackers but it was disgusting anyways. My egg rolls were super hard and barely had any shrimp PIECES in it. Second time here. Second time disappointed.

Been ordering here for a few years and every time it’s absolutely delicious! The portions are great, the food is amazing! Always great service, friendly and fast. Definitely one of our favorite places!

The food was fresh and hot. The egg roll was so crispy and hot, and the general tso’s chicken was crunchy and not soggy.

Used to love this place but it’s been going downhill. After today I will not be returning. Went there for a soup and chicken with broccoli… chicken was chewy and then I find this in my soup, nope never again.

Food is delicious but packaging is awful. Use 2 bags for big orders in the future instead of stuffing 1 bag so full that the sweet and sour sauce gets crushed and spills on everything.

I have been ordering from Green Garden for over 10 years. My staples are sweet and sour chicken, chicken fried rice, chicken lo mein, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. Their food is always good and very consistent. You easily get 2 meals worth of food for dinner entrees. The food is very much "no frills", but delivers in taste.

Apparently when you order a small at panda this is what you get. my orange chicken was about the same size. White rice tasted like it was a week old as well. I assume the McKnight Road location doesn't have many repeat customers.

Excellent quick and tasty Chinese.food. This location is always clean and staffed with great people.i highly recommend it!

Very, very good Chinese food! I've been wanting to try out more local Chinese spots, so this seemed to be a great stop. I ordered the sesame chicken (similar to general Tso) and a chicken egg roll. They were both quite tasty! They give you a huge portion for the main dish. And, the side rice that accompanied the chicken was equally large! The quality of the chicken seemed to be quite good. Not too chewy or fatty. It seemed to be white meat but could have just been a high quality dark meat as well. It maintained its crispness even after sitting in the car. Their sauce is delicious and definitely on the sweet side. A little bit of sesame and some broccoli to top it off. I would have preferred a little more broccoli, but that was essentially more only quarrel with this dish. The egg roll is pretty good, but not the best I've had. Was still a little crispy but nearly all cabbage, and I could barely taste the chicken. Portion was a bit smaller than at comparable places. They do give you quite a few different sauces on the side for free (duck, soy, mustard). I enjoyed the soy sauce combination the most since it gave an extra salty pop to the cabbage (somewhat like sauerkraut). Also, can't forget the complementary fortune cookie! All in all, this was very tasty food. The portion sizes are great for the price, and the quality of the meat seems to be quite high. Their sesame sauce is sweet and delicious, but I would have liked more broccoli. Egg roll is okay. Would recommend!

This restaurant serves typical Chinese foods. The interior is spacious and nicely decorated. The employees were polite and timely with their service. Our server accidentally brought out teriyaki beef rather than teriyaki chicken. We enjoyed the taste of our crab rangoons, orange chicken, and kung pao chicken. Ingredients were very fresh, and serving sizes were very large. Prices were very reasonable.

Great service. Great food. Friendly staff. Great experience all around!

The food isn’t terrible, but I’ve had way better, and I think there are better options nearby as well. All I tried were the simple pan fried pork dumplings. As I mentioned, the food wasn’t bad per say. They gave me like 7 or so dumplings in an order. The shells were super thick. It was greasy on the outside. However, they were cooked pretty well. On the inside, the meat itself was pretty tasty. Well cooked. Seasoned decently. But, there was way too much dough. The side dipping sauce was also not my favorite. Usually, the best sauces have a good balance of sweet and salty. This sauce was solely acidic and salty. It didn’t have a nice hint of sweetness for balance. Also, the serving was small. All in all, I probably won’t come back here. There is far better Chinese food in the area. Dumplings are subpar.

This place was decently close to getting a 5 stars from me. However, one item I tried was essentially inedible, and it was an entree, so I can't give the, full marks. Tonight, I had the fried donuts, mango cake, and roasted pork egg roll, and honey chicken. The first thing I tried was the mango cake, which seems to only be seasonally available. It was very, very good! It tastes homemade too. Not too sweet, fluffy, and delightful. You won't feel terribly full or on sugar-overload after finishing a few of these. And, the value is amazing: 3 pieces for just over $2! (4.75/5) Next, I tried their roasted pork egg roll. It was also very good. The pork didn't really taste "roasted" but it was decent. They give you plenty of sauces to dip the roll in (duck, soy, mustard). It's crispy and filled pretty well (4/5). Their donuts were also delicious. Clearly they are quite simple to make, but again, the value and flavors matched my expectations and definitely satisfied me. A full 10 for just $6 and change. Plenty of sugar drizzled all around them. (4/5) Now, for the only majorly disappointing factor in this meal, the honey chicken. If the entree is terrible, the rating and pleasure you get from a meal is going to drop significantly. Here, it was just a mess. Gloppy, most breads, soggy, no flavor in the sauce. Portion size was okay, bit smaller than other places but it's also cheaper. I will say that I like that they are using white meat chicken. (2/5) They give you the standard free fortune cookies with any visit or order. There's also complimentary free rice with every entree, I believe. But, their rice is a bit weird. Small kernels and odd aftertaste, too crunchy as well. (2/5) All in all, this place definitely has some delicious options, but some entrees miss the mark entirely. I recommend staying away from the breaded/fried meat options and choosing something like ribs or chicken and broccoli instead. Mango cake, egg rolls, and donuts are quite good, though.

My favorite place to get Chinese takeout in Pittsburgh. After moving from NYC, we have been looking for 1 decent Chinese place for delivery and I think this is as good as it will get in Pittsburgh. Delivery is always fast and shows up hot and fresh. Egg rolls are my favorite and have a hint of cinnamon and the “amazing” chicken was the worst thing we had (Americanized junk).

Standard Chinese fare & sushi in a traditional, informal and safe place. Place is full or artifacts and has a lovely fish tank.

Food is delicious and great prices! Got dinner for me and my fiancée and had the sweet and sour chicken and chicken fried rice with a drink total was under $30. The staff there is super friendly and the environment is clean and pleasant. Have been back a few times since the first visit and it’s always delicious. Definitely will be a customer for a while!
