Honeymoon
Fast, fresh and very friendly! That describes the food, service ans Hospitality, at Honeymoon! Wonderful young couple who runs and owns this Place are the best!
This is a great place for a quick lunch. My order today was exceptional. The shrimp lo mein was the best I have ever had! Also, the egg roll was so good! Keep up the good work, Honeymoon!
Asian Star Chinese Restaurant
Very good local Chinese restaurant run by a local family. I've ate here a few times and the quality is always good. The online ordering could use some help because the order I got was wrong because items were combined and I got pork instead of chicken but I'm glad it got messed up because I've never tried the pork with broccoli and it was really good too.
Pretty much take out. Does have a couple of booths. Food fair, but inexpensive
Yamayoshi Asian Fusion
Nice and convenient. The waiter was funny and pleasant. Food was excellent. I had pad thai, which was pleasantly different from the common style of preparation. Noodles were thinner and the sauce was more savory than the typical sweet sauce. Jasmine tea was excellent. Atmosphere; tucked away right off the cute main street of sewickly. Easy walk from the hospital
Has changed management and added a few items. They now bring crisp wontons at the beginning and they're so good. The chirashi is not traditional chirashi - it was little bits of chopped raw fish (tuna, salmon) instead of slices of sashimi. Sauce was good. Hawaiian poke bowl was good, but not amazing. The takuan was watery instead of crisp and salty. Seaweed was great! Edamame was somewhat boiled (probably cooked earlier and then presented later). The sushi rice is delicious. Perfectly cooked and with rice vinegar. Service is fantastic. Drinks are reasonably priced. It was too warm inside, but the weather has just changed, so that could be seasonal.
Asian Cuisine
I ordered tofu and fried rice & my boyfriend got dumplings. He loved his dumplings & while I didn’t love the fried rice the tofu made up for it. Their sauce was very flavorful and the breading on the tofu was perfect 🥢
Like how quick the takeout is -- we order online and it's ready to go in around 20 minutes. Affordable and filling. Dinner combo is my go-to, and might be more than I should eat in one sitting.
China Fortune
Awesome Chinese restaurant that knows how to make the difference sauces it's not just a brown sauce that they put on everything on the menu. Very good and nice amount of spice and the hot and sour soup is one of the best I have tried.
The food is usually pretty good. My one complaint is the frozen vegetables that they use are sometimes not always cooked. Otherwise food is good.
Asia Tea House
I used to go to Pitt, and liked these guys well enough to go when I didn't want the extra-greasiness of Szechuan Spice. But, despite it being awhile since I'd gotten food from here, I was still hesitant because I remembered the chicken always being dry. But I really wanted bourbon chicken, and it's hard to find around here, so I went here. And it was pretty dry. Yeah, the sauce at the bottom helped (to reference the owner's apparent response to another review), but you shouldn't have to drench chicken in sauce for it to be easier to eat. And frankly, there wasn't enough sauce in the bottom to compensate for the dryness anyway. Pretty good if you're a stoned/drunk college student or can't eat super greasy food without it triggering your chronic illness, but I guess it'll just be awhile before I have bourbon chicken again. The flavors also weren't particularly strong, and in retrospect I think I should've just gone to my usual spot. Would've taken longer and they don't have bourbon chicken, but it would've felt more worth the money. I feel like I've always ended up there later in the day, so I would suggest try going there closer to when they open, maybe it won't be so dry then. At the very least, the little tent they put up against the front during the colder months is a very nice touch.
Chicken was so hard, couldn’t even pick it up with a fork or chew it. My children choked on it. I called to tell them about how dry and hard the chicken was, they talked over me and told me the sauce went to the bottom of the container. Then told me I could get a refund after I raised my voice to talk over them. I didn’t want a refund. I wanted to eat a meal with my family. I could’ve went to the mall and had better food. Now I’m sitting here mad and hungry.
New China Inn
I was hungry after school and decided to take my boyfriend out to eat. We both loved it!! But the only knit pick was the flavor that it needed, but it was overall good, nice, and hot. We made sure to tip the owner after we left. The food was overall good, but it needed flavor.
Very run down Chinese spot. If your hungry, sure stop and get some food. I got the "lunch special" which I asked for fried rice and still received white rice. I wouldn't order them again but like I said if your hungry sure. Just nothing special in my opinion.
Dagu Rice Noodle
The place is known for its noodles which are solid. However, the fried chicken is AMAZING! We typically order the original flavor (don’t use the chili dipping sauce that comes with it as it detracts from the tasty fried chicken flavor in my opinion.) The chicken always comes out hot and fresh and they are delicious. I would highly recommend them. Kid approved as well lols. Service has always been great here and the wait staff is very attentive.
Ordered a boba. There were foreign objects in the drink. Finger nail sized, plastic looking objects that were breakable. The lady in the photo had the audacity to blame it back on me and said that I put the objects in the drink just so I can get free drink. Unbelievable.
How Lee Chinese Restaurant
Ordered take out . Food came nice and hot and accurate. Egg rolls were good . The wontons in the soup 🍲 were kinda a weird texture to me. General tso chicken wasn't bad. Ordered the pepper 🫑 steak 🥩 and got more peppers then anything so that's a lil disappointing. Steak was a little hard to chew. The fried rice was flavorless. I think it might be the worse rice I have had in terms of flavor. It didn't taste like anything when you ate it.
I had high hopes for this place, but it just didn’t compare to my usual choices for Asian food in Squirrel Hill. We were steamed quickly and the service was prompt. We ordered a scallion pancake to start, which was inarguably the best part of the meal. Following our entrees came out almost too quick. I ordered chicken and broccoli which was just okay and lacked flavor in the sauce. My friend had the General Tso’s combo meal. The chicken was decent but the fried rice was mediocre at best. Wouldn’t be my first, second, or third choice in the area.
Chan An Restaurant
Decent food at cheap prices. Grabbed a small veggie chow mein to go, which was done quickly and very hot and fresh. The atmosphere inside was nice and clean, and the cashier was very polite and professional, even ensuring I was aware I was buying a meal without noodles. I'll definitely come back.
Every meal I've had here was delicious and satisfying. This is my " feel good" food place.
China Buffet east liberty
I came here on Sunday around dinner time and for lunch earlier today. The cashier at the front was friendly and made sure we were taken care of as soon as we came in. The food selection on Sunday’s visit was a little slim and unfortunately, because of it being a less busy time, the food was lukewarm and I didn’t really enjoy it. Thankfully, today’s experience was slightly better because I tried to come at a peak dining time. I could see myself coming back again, but only for lunch time.
Worst Buffet EVER. Dry old food one row of options to chose from. $7.99 a pound carry out deal is good price but definitely a scam to get rid of that nasty out of date left overs they call a buffet wanted to make my day better food was so bad I cried
Hong Kong Taste
Classic comfort American-style Chinese food. We did a take out of crab rangoon (10 out of 10), beef with hunan spicy sauce (9 out of 10), and orange chicken (7.5 out of 10). Great service, generous portion, and so worth it for the price!
Hot & sour soup. (Rainy day? Easy fix) Pork lo mein!! (Do it) Sauteed string beans (vegetarians take note) Steamed rice please. No. 5 spicy!!! Lunch special, yes A working class delight!
