First time visit this small local chinese restaurant, having omakase. Food were scrumptious, good portion, affordable price, friendly service, comfy atmosphere

Was passing by and stopped here for dinner for the first time. It's a cozy and friendly family business with a home cooking feel, serving Cantonese food and some more labour intensive dishes that are hard to find nowadays. We got their dinner combos and picked the pan fried barramundi fish with 2 other dishes, a beef with Chinese broccoli and the fried stuffed tofu. All the dishes were prepared very well, good ingredients and the portion size is really fair. For the beef and chinese broccoli, it was carefully prepared as they only served the stems which is traditionally what is served at high end chinese restaurants. The fried stuffed tofu is a labour intensive dish and was also fried fresh and stayed crispy during the dinner though it was covered in sauce. The barramundi was very delicate, fried very nicely with crispy skin and also very tasty. Service is friendly though one guy was wearing flip flops. They use good ingredients and have good classic Chinese cooking technique and flavours.

I’ve been coming here since I was a child, and the food always hits the spot, especially the signature soup dumplings—my absolute favorite! I do wish the dumplings were a bit hotter, though. As for other dishes, the Shanghai noodles could use a bit more flavor and depth, but overall, the other dishes are exactly what you’d expect.

The service was definitely pretty good. They were fast and gave everything i asked for right away. The food was decent, i enjoyed it but personally i think it could have been better. The water was gross tho. Overall it was good place to eat. I forgot to take picture of the dumpling but the dimpling was really good

My wife was craving for dumplings so we came here. She did enjoy the chicken feet and shrimp. I didn’t like it too much. They cover all the tables and chairs to hide them. But service was fast and food was very hot. The pork buns tasted the best. Thank you

It's by far one of my favorite Chinese restaurants! The food is consistently delicious. This is our "go-to" restaurant for any occasion. The variety of dishes that they have is great. They also have set dinners to satisfy any cravings. I highly recommend trying Fancy Chinese Cuisine if you want authentic Chinese food... because it's that good!

We made a reservation on Google Map. We got our table immediately upon arrival. We ordered Shanghai fried rice cake, pork with spicy sauce, steamed crab & pork dumplings, pan fried green onion cake, rice rolls with fried stick and pork in garlic sauce. Most of the dishes were pretty good. The pork with spicy sauce was too oily. The steamed dumplings were good as usual. This restaurant was not as busy as Cantonese dim sum restaurants so we could slowly enjoy our food.

Clean and beautiful restaurant. Nice and cozy Chinese decor. The food is delicious and well presented. Good pricing set. Service is excellent and the staffs are very friendly.

We ordered $888 package. Food, overall, is good. The flavor is much richer and stronger than usual Cantonese cousin. If some dishes can be less flavorful, it will give another dynamic to the feast. My least favorite is the fish. It is the last dish, and the flavor is the same. I'm just kind of tired of it. The baked duck dessert less than 3 stars. The dough is heavy, and the red bean paste is a bit hard. Yet, the duck is very good.

Awesome Peking duck experience, I’d say one of the top 2 that I’ve been to in Canada for authentic Beijing style duck, almost comparable to China. Tip: if you get a full duck, you can take home the duck bones, add green onion + a bit of ginger for great duck soup! Overall the food here was good but I wouldn’t come back for anything other than duck. The service was alright - I’ve also been to the Mississauga location where I found the service was better.

Not bad. There are lots of places like this in Markham and Scarborough still thriving, and this one is up to par. The prices are reasonable. We paid $18 cash for the two dishes pictured. My braised beef noodles were okay. I should have known better than to order beef noodles that were $7.99, and basically got what I paid for. The beef was actually really delicious and well portioned. I just didn't love the noodles, which were very skinny egg-like noodles and did not resemble the typical type of noodle you get with beef noodle soup. And there was a HUGE helping of these skinny noodles. There was also spices in the soup broth that didn't get filtered out, such as the star anise - it's always a shock when you bite into one of those. The other noodles were a decent portion but there was SO much sauce. It was drowning in sauce. This really brought the dish down a level. It was still good value, but could have been made with a bit more finesse.

I've been going here for more than a year now since my kids love their Shanghai beef noodles. The food here is great value for the money. These days it's just impossible to find a meal for $10. The servings have a lot of quantity and the noodles are above average. The beef brisket noodle soup is quite tasty, although the beef can be fatty at times - but it melts in your mouth. The owner lady running the place is really nice and knows exactly what I want to order. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Here is another authentic Chinese restaurant in Woodbine area, newly renovated. The place is small and family owned, so the food quantity are always delicious and consistent. During March break function, ordered party trays here for 20 ppl. Not the cheapest as compared to others, however we needed more gourmet dishes than fried rices and noodles. We are meat-eaters!!! We have an excellent round of good foods and worth the price difference.

Not bad for Cantonese style food. Glad their food don't have that much of sweet taste. 👍 Need improvement on packing. Leaking inside one of the bags.

Food was not great, I probably would have put this place at 2/5 stars, but the service they gave us was horrible, because they started to talking down at us. The price is economical here, but the food is so/so. There wasn’t really a dish that was a wow, but I definitely remember dishes which I will avoid if I were to return. The reason this place got a 1 star is because the service. The waitress talked down on us, saying that the room we sat in usually requires a $800 minimum, but they upgraded us as a good will because they didn’t want to give us 2 tables and separate us in the main room We asked if we could use the TV in the room, and she started telling us that we didn’t hit the minimum on the room and that we “only order $300” of food. Pretty rude thing to say. They also started to clean our table and put things away before we were done eating. Even though we were not the last ones in the restaurant and there was more than one hour left before closing. One of our dishes came with vegetables that we cook in the pot ourselves. But they took away the pot, when there was still food left and veggies left without asking. That dish was only half finished while most other dishes were dishes were finished. Basically, talking down to us and rushing us out early is why I’m giving 1 star instead of 2 stars.

This is a cozy Chinese restaurant where you can enjoy most of the popular stir fry, deep fry dishes. Their soup is a must try item. Weekends are always busy, it is better to make a reservation before going.

2 adults with medium appetites were satisfied :) $22 before tips! 12 dumplings (steamed, lamb & fennel) 1 peanut butter pancake (fresh and sweet) 1 beef pancake ( nice filling) 1 beef brisket bun ( hot and fresh) Good service Spacious Clean

The menu on the wall and above the counter are exclusively in Chinese, making it difficult for non-Chinese readers to order. Although the menu itself has English translations, it appears to exclude the specials. This suggests that the restaurant caters to a specific clientele. The staff are rude and unfriendly, and seem to communicate by yelling at the top of their lungs. They also appear to have limited English proficiency. The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes, but they are heavily seasoned and greasy/oily. This may not be ideal for health-conscious individuals. The restaurant only accepts cash or debit payments. What are those 4 slots machines doing in the store? It says "Win Cash". Are they for real gambling? Is it legal?

The Peking duck that this place was always known for is still good! Also the wraps! They moved here from their Sheppard and Leslie location awhile back, but it's still the best kept secret of Pacific Mall. Definitely worth the trip! Reservations recommended for weekends.

Check out @bredgyeats on Instagram for more food posts! Oh man, Peking man, you certainly deserve the name with your delicious rendition of my favourite Peking Duck. A paper-thin skin that has an addicting cracker-like crisp, concealing a thin layer of duck fat that melts in your mouth, while the meat attached is moist and tender. That wasn't enough to satisfy our hungry stomachs, and luckily they had a giant portion of stir-fried beef noodles for cheap.

New Century will feed a large group. Their lobster, Dungeness crab, and sea bass combo for eight ($798) would satisfy ten or twelve. The individual New Century slow boiled soup is hardest to share but secure some empty bowls and you can divide the hefty portion. In the winter, there’s a silkiness to the piping hot consommé that sooths a dry throat and has an umami essence infused with abalone, ginseng, and pork. There’s plenty to choose from in the house signature combo platter including roasted duck, soy sauce chicken, BBQ pork, pork slices, and seaweed salad. Saving my stomach for the later dishes, I had a taste of the duck (a good start with crispy skin) and BBQ pork (satisfactory and well flavoured). With the generous portion of chicken in the combo platter, the slow cooked chicken with abalone broth seemed like overkill. I’ve never been a huge fan of this dish that’s served cold since I prefer chicken hot. Still, I understand it’s the jelly layer between the skin and meat that people enjoy. And to be fair, the chicken was tender, and New Century certainly didn’t skimp on the ginger and scallion oil. For those who tend to fill-up before the “main dishes”, the stars of the combo arrive mid-meal. The stir-fried Vancouver crabs with silver fish in HK style spicy sauce needs to be eaten at arrival as the crunchy coating is best straight from the fryer. And despite not looking spicy, the dish has a light heat that permeates in the background. Additionally, the crab was fresh and meaty, cooked well so it remained delicately flakey. The amount of sweet and sticky sauce used in the stir-fried lobsters with scallion in Maggie sauce was well balanced, lightly covering the crustaceans. Both lobsters were substantial; even after eating many pieces, we still had plenty of leftovers. This is a long review head to Gastro World for the rest.

The dim sum here is pretty decent. We enjoyed the bbq pork baked pineapple bun. They don’t charge tips in the bill unlike some dim sum places do. The service here is ok.

The food is hit or miss, the portion size is definitely small but the price is also cheaper. The water cook fish wasn’t spicy at all. The lobsters are ok. Not much meat, but that’s because the price you pay. The Fried Big Intestine was not clean, so it had the not clean taste. The Pepper and Salt stir fry squid, did not taste like squid at all.. tasted more like fish texture. The stir fry snails tasty, the first time. Second time we came back.. not so tasty anymore.

This Chinese restaurant is really good! Came here with a bunch of friends and the portion/pricing is extremely fair. The taste itself is super; we had numerous rice, chicken, lobster dishes along with really good hot sauces/chilli oils. I highly reccoemnd coming here to feast with the mandem and splitting the bill. We were shocked to see how low the bill was after it was split amongst about 8 people! 9/10 reccomend this place. There was just a small dog barking inside the restaurant which i personally didn't mind but some people may find a nuisance.
