Panda West
Absolutely disgusting interior, I don't see how many sane person would walk in there and eat. Look at my pictures and you'll see how black and dirty it is. I picked up an order on 1-31-2023 for the first time and I love locally. I refuse to walk back in there, they need to be shut down. I reported them to the health department. Seriously, 11+ for one dish that wasn't even a plate full. My wife said the food was good but I'm afraid of them poisoning someone.
Take out on Christmas Eve, extremely busy but our food was really good. Sesame chicken 5* Beef and Broccoli 5* Lo main noodles 5* Teriyaki chicken 2* it was the texture of the chicken. It didn't seem like real chicken. Maybe some kind of generated meat.
China Express
While on lunch I was craving some Chinese food. Ironically it’s an American staple and we consume a ton! As I placed my order and waited impatiently my mouth was already watering. The restaurant smelled like good wings and sesame chicken. The first bite was different but didn’t want to bash it until I was sure. The chicken was certainly marinated in something that made it crispy but the taste was off. Upon breaking the wing the interior of the wing looked like something that’s been sitting there for a while. I immediately lost my appetite. As for the rice the red meat was chewy as I’m assuming was the pork. I’m not saying all of their menu items would be this bad but I would think twice and probably call and ask about freshness before ordering. I’m never going back as the first impression means a lot.
Love this place! We repeatedly order lunch to go and their food is always deliciously consistent. Big fan of their general tso and orange chicken.
Panda Express
This is how much beef you get. These employees skimp so badly as if the food is coming out of their paycheck.
Yall need to teach your employees the correct portion sizes. Literally what’s this, three pieces of beef🙄 do better?
China Cafe
I recently tried beef bowl from China Cafe, and it was absolutely delicious! The bowl was packed with tender, flavorful beef that was well-marinated and cooked to perfection. The assortment of fresh vegetables—crisp carrots, sautéed spinach, zucchini, and seasoned mushrooms—added a nice balance of texture and color. The rice underneath soaked up all the rich flavors, and the savory sauce tied everything together beautifully. The portion size was generous, making it a satisfying and wholesome meal. I highly recommend this dish for anyone looking for a flavorful and hearty option. Definitely a go-to favorite!
I recently tried this stir-fry dish featuring tender slices of beef, vibrant snap peas, red bell peppers, dried red chilies, and fermented black beans. The dish was coated in a glossy, savory sauce that had a rich, umami depth from the black beans and garlic. The beef was well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, maintaining its juiciness while absorbing the flavors of the sauce. The snap peas added a pleasant crunch that balanced the richness of the beef and sauce, while the bell peppers brought a slight sweetness to the mix. The dried chilies added a subtle heat, though not overpowering, giving the dish a satisfying kick without dominating the other flavors. Overall, it was a well-balanced, flavorful dish that delivered on both texture and taste. Perfect for someone who enjoys bold flavors with a touch of spice. I’d definitely order this again!
Asian Garden
don't eat here! My husband orders an order of orange chicken and sesame chicken, everything was fine until we started eating, it felt very greasy and I found burnt bacon and a disgusting hair on top, we couldn't eat more, I don't recommend it at all! a waste of money
I have ordered here twice this week. The vegetable egg rolls are The Best! Try them with duck sauce and some of the hot sauce. Very much delicious!!! Tonight, one of my dishes was cabbage cooked with brown sauce and egg fried rice; one of my weird cravings. They had no problem fulfilling my request. The owners are such nice people!! Plus, the food is always hot and Fresh! I love this place!
House Of Leng
Food is always delicious, hot, and as expected. Patient and courteous front desk servers. This is were I had my first Strawberry Boba Tea experience...Loved it every since.
I ordered sesame chicken with fried rice. Horrible. The rice was mushy, overcooked, and the chicken were big pieces and not chopped up usually how sesame chicken portions are in smaller pieces. This was my first and last time trying this place. They are a bit expensive compared to other places, and the quality of the food is not worth the $$ spent. It’s so hard trying new places in Charlotte, and it ends up being a waste of money and food.
Golden Gate Chinese Fast Food
I recently visited this restaurant after seeing the viral Egg Foo Young trending on TikTok. It had been a long time since my last visit, so I decided to give it a try and called in an order for Shrimp Egg Foo Young with Shrimp Fried Rice, substituting garlic sauce for the traditional gravy. When I called, I was told the total would be around $20, although I didn’t catch the exact amount. However, upon arrival, the total came to $26.53, which I found quite steep for a Chinese takeout order. The food was packaged in two separate containers one with three large Egg Foo Young patties and another with shrimp fried rice. Unfortunately, the rice container was not filled, resulting in an uneven ratio of Egg Foo Young to rice. After eating one patty with the rice, I was left with two more and nothing to pair them with. The garlic sauce was particularly disappointing thin, watery, and lacking flavor. To make matters worse, the container wasn’t even filled completely, so there wasn’t enough sauce to accompany the remaining patties. At nearly $30, a full portion of sauce should be a basic expectation. I also noticed a significant difference in quality compared to previous visits, which might be due to a recent change in ownership, as mentioned in other reviews. I used to regularly order their garlic wings with fried rice and remember the sauce being much more flavorful in the past. This order did not include an egg roll or a drink, which further added to the feeling that the meal was overpriced. Ultimately, I gave the leftovers to a homeless individual rather than throw them away, as I couldn't justify wasting the $30, I had spent — but unfortunately, the food was so unappetizing that I cannot recommend it. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Between the high prices, poor quality food, and lack of consistency, I won’t be returning.
I never knew you could ruin a Singapore Rice Noodle dish!! The noodles tasted watery and it barely had any flavor! I was disappointed and live on the other side of town, otherwise I would have brought this dish back and requested a refund!
Cottage Express Restaurant
Do not order DoorDash from them. I have ordered their shrimp on multiple occasions. I ordered them about two months ago and I received spoiled shrimp and then I try to give them a second chance today and receive spoiled shrimp. I don’t know what’s going in the kitchen or they don’t understand how to properly prepare Seafood, but serving customers spoiled shrimp is not OK and I have notified upper management and have not received any type of call or consolation.
11 pm closing time is why I rate this place with 4 stars. Not many good food choices in this area with late business hours. Evening cooks seem to cook food better than day time cooks (tasty & fresh in the evening, opposed to bland & sloppy food during lunch/afternoon hours). Customer service is not the best any time of the day, but decent food portions for the price. Delivery time is usually always more than an hour wait time, so pick up is your best choice.
Cottage Restaurant
Cottage Restaurant is a no frills pick up Asian cuisine... Their food is good that egg rolls are awesome they're shrimp fried rice was like a 2.5 only because the shrimps were so small but the rice was tasty. I have ordered from here several times so obviously the food is good.
Ordered delivery and it took around 35 minutes (not bad). Food was still hot when arriving. Overall chicken has very good texture, make sure to ask for extra spicy for more flavor. Quantity of food is extremely high. A lot of food for the money. Great deal.
Golden Coast II
I just got food from here, and I’m pleasantly impressed! The vegetable fried rice was great, and the sesame bean curd was absolutely delicious. Thank you! I’ll definitely be ordering more and recommending this place to anyone considering it. It's not too salty but also not bland... Perfect balance.
I always order food from here whenever I feel sick. The spicy sour soup always helps. I usually order and pick up but today I door dashed and the food was warm and delicious. 谢谢你们!加油!
Hunan Park
I have lived on this side of town for about a year and a half and had always thought about ordering from here, but didn’t until about 2 weeks ago. Been back 3 times already. The food is delicious and comes out hot and fresh. When they say it’ll be ready in 10 min they mean it. 10/10 love this place
Just grabbed a Wonton Soup to help warm me up since it’s been cold out and wow, so worth the visit. I’m so happy I stopped by. This will be my new go-to for the family. Thanks so much!!!!
Chia Bistro
If you are looking for a place that's nice and quiet, warm and inviting cozy and warm. Then this is your place. From the time that you walk in your greeted by a pleasing smile and a hearty hello. The food only adds to the atmosphere. The food comes out hot and every dish has its own unique flavors. It's not overly pricey and the food portions are what you would expect at this price point.
Chicken was over cooked , rice didn’t taste like fried rice taste like Mexican rice with soy sauce . The worst Chinese I’ve ever had. The chicken wings were big and dry . Better off going to China bowl on the plaza .
