Jade Island

855reviews

I looked up recommendations on Facebook and saw that a lot of people were recommending jade island for dine in so we gave it a try. I am so happy we did. We had a great experience. The service was exactly how service should be, we kept getting our water refilled without having to ask, they came over with a fresh bowl of crispy noodles before the old bowl was finished and asked us if we needed anything plenty of times. Very friendly and welcoming the whole time. The food came out fast and everything was fresh and delicious. Great chicken low mein, the best I’ve had in a long time. Fun atmosphere. My family will definitely be coming back and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a night out.

Jade Island dropped the ball on New Year's Eve 2024, literally. My wife, son and I made reservations for 6:30pm. We arrived at 5:45 to check-in and maybe have a drink before being seated. Forget it. You could not even walk in to the lobby. The place was mobbed. People either complaining about not being seated or the orders not being ready for those who ordered takeout. No maitre d' to be found. Completely unorganized & unprofessional. Mismanagement at it's finest. It's understandable that it will be busy on a Holiday, but if you make a reservation, there's no reason it shouldn't be honored within 2 hours of your original time. We ended up leaving and going to Miller's. I'll have to reconsider ever attempting to eat here again after this experience left a bad taste in my mouth, regardless of what anyone says about how good the food is. Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen. I'll go elsewhere.

East Pacific

My boyfriend’s family had been coming here for years before he took me here for a date. Now, it’s our special occasion dinner date! Last night we celebrated our anniversary with their delicious lemongrass pork chops. The portion of one dish is enough to feed us both for a wonderful price as well. I’m not a fan of pork chops, but East Pacific changed my mind because of the flavor. The quality of their food is unmatched. You HAVE to have a combo of the sauce, pork chop, white rice, and mango salad. The sauce is packed with flavor and the mango salad is refreshing. We also got an appetizer, the crab meat money bags as it’s called on the menu, and they are also carefully crafted with high quality flavor. Dinner is always a big hit and we can’t wait to go back. I’m excited to try their duck next time!

DO NOT go to this restaurant for any celebration EVER! My family and I made the reservation for my mother’s 62nd birthday last night. We ordered 10 lbs of King Crab along with 10 other dishes. First of all, the King Crab supposed to have in total 56 pieces of crab meat in shell, one king crab legs got divided into 7 little pieces, 8 legs X 7 pieces =56, as you can see in photo(that’s the photo I took right when they served, no one touched the plate yet), there isn’t close to 50 pieces, approximately 40 pieces I would say. I paid for my meals, was I not supposed to get what I paid for? If any of the kitchen staff they want a taste of King Crab, pay for it ON YOUR OWN, please! NOT stealing your customers food and make them your dinner, that’s unacceptable and rude. Second of all, Typhoon Shelter Crab( 2nd photo i posted), mostly all flour, barely any meat, I just want to say, did I pay for 10lbs of King Crab or 5lbs? Because i literally DID NOT get what I paid for and my family were still hungry from the $1000 meal last night. We celebrated our mother’s birthday once a year and King Crab was always in our list, last year, we went to a different restaurant in Brooklyn, we actually had tons of left over to bring home for next day, this year there wasn’t any leftovers, we barely have enough to split between 5 adults. Lastly, we also ordered Fried River Snails, as soon as they arrived on our dinner table, they smelled bad, real bad, so strong that after we complained and they brought them back to the kitchen that smell was still stayed on our table for few minutes long. I was very disappointed, I saw the decent reviews and thought it was only 10 mins away from our house, saved us some hassle, let’s try it. Instead, it was a horrible experience and a waste of money. Overall, I have to say, food was awful, the kitchen staff was/were a thief/ thieves, but our waiter was nice and it wasn’t his fault that their food wasn’t fresh and unreasonably, we still gave him 20% tip plus $40 tip extra, because we thought that’s fair. Hope East Pacific will manage your restaurant better or you will lose more customers besides us, our friends and families!

Oriental Plaza

Went today for lunch with my hubby. The women who seated us didn't say a word nor crack a smile. The place is very outdated and needs a complete make over! Getting servers to take our order was very slow, but once they did food came quick. Wonton soup very doughy and was a bit cold. Beef & broccoli sauce super heavy General tsao had heavy batter, but was OK. Noodles & duck sauce were my favorite part.

I used the website to place an order and I picked it up. Ordering on the website was easy. I didn’t see any options for a drink. My order was ready in 20 minutes. I got the general tso meal, fried dumplings and wonton soup. General chicken was tasty but the inside was a little dry. But it was very tasty and the portion was a good size. Wonton soup was excellent! Fried dumplings were very good! Egg roll was very good.

Empire East

Empire is definitely my place to go when I’m craving Chinese food. I usually order the chicken chow Mein and my Wonton In Egg Drop Soup which this is the only place that I feel makes the soup perfect. I just order Thai Basil Chicken , which I have to say it was delicious definitely be ordering that more often. All the years eating from Empire I never had a bad experience.

I came here because I just tooked a break doing UE deliveries and decide to go to a chincese place. When I ordered the Chow Main Shrimp and a tea, pay and wait patiently. When the girl at the front desk gaved me or receive the plate, for my surprise that looks like something else. For me it does looks like lobster sauce or something, plate looks slammy/sloppy and not apetizing and they didnt gaved me the tea that I request it. I went back to the girl and explain what kind of food is this one? She reply and told me that I maybe was thinking “Lo Main” and not Chow Main. But didnt offer an exception of exchange the correct plate. In addition to this the rice felt uncooked! Ive been 30 years in Staten Island and have ate chinese all my life. I dont know what kind of service is this but for sure I wont comeback! This is a restaurant with poor quality overall. I know because I am a Chef in NYC and I do UE on the side. I know what is good service and poor service in the kitchen. This is a poor service served.

I ordered 3 hours before closing time, so I’m very disappointed by the Old fried rice, old and hard cream cheese puffs, old and hard wonton chips, and old zoo animal a$$ tasting egg rolls.

I hadn't been here in years, the quality took a dive for a little bit. But I decided to give them another try as I was craving fried rice noodles. I would normally get the veggie version but I got beef this time and oh my! The beef was juicy and succulent. The whole dish was rich with flavor and they didn't skimp on the meat and veggies. The plate was sagging from the weight of the food. I also got the spicy chicken wings which was pretty good with lots of fragrant herbs. The fried biscuits were the only thing I'd pass on next time; they were fried a bit too hard for my liking and I only got them to help meet Uber's purchase threshold. Otherwise, everything was so fresh and delicious. The price was amazing, given the quality and portion sizes. We barely put a dent in half of the food but were filled and satiated.

Master Wok

Pretty solid Chinese food that comes out hot and flavorful. A little overpriced as to be expected in the mall food court but the meals themselves were tasty after a long day of shopping. The vegetable lo mein, chicken and broccoli, and BBQ chicken were all good. The staff seemed polite as well.

We were shopping at the mall, got hungry, we made the worst food choose. Very expensive, baaaaad food, baaaad taste. Four plates for $87!!!! We had better meals before at less than half the price. I gave one star just because there’s no Zero star.

Peking Taste Chinese and Thai Restaurant

This is by far the best Chinese food I have had. the sesame tofu is fresh and delicious. The portions were large and the gentlemen is very nice! great recommendation. I will be back

Today my friend and I had dinner at Peking Taste. The hot & spicy beef was really delicious, and we will come here for dinner more often in the future.

Red Ginger

Got the sesame chicken w/ egg fried rice and crab rangoons. Pretty tasty Very easy to order on their website.

For starters I am a regular customer and order from here ALL THE TIME LOL. And this is the first bad experience i have had I think its a bit ridiculous i ordered the mongolian beef with a side of white rice and only get 4-5 pieces of “beef” in a bowl full of onions and sauce. I called to ask why this was and all I got was the person on the other end being quiet and just repeating what I was saying. Its very frustrating to pay 15 dollars for a bowl of onions mixed veggies and sauce and get barely any protein. I usually order the beef pad thai and its delicious and always packed with protein. I know inflation is real but cmon this is not cool!
