New Apolo

The food was great. This is my new spot for Chinese food. I had a frozen drink, and it was strong just the way I like it. Place is not that big, so it's not great for large groups that want to dine together.

I ordered food from this place the over the weekend and I was so disappointed 😭 the the delivery time was about 40minutes I paid around 22 dollars with the tip included . I ordered chicken broccoli with white rice which was tasteless and all saggy, but the worse was my special fried rice with chicken wings, it was uneatable, the wings were old and nasty looking, the rice brown due the type of oil the put in, I called to complaint and no answer, I end up buying from another place for cheaper and way better food. Not sure how this place has good reviews for me it was the first time and last. I took pictures of my food. I usually leave nothing but positive reviews but this one really deserve my complaint.

JJ Kitchen

Lovely little restaurant with delicious food for a great price. Got the big bowl with fatty beef and spam for $13. Probably the best meal for the price you can get in the area.

First time order at JJ Kitchen. I’m a fan. Soup dumplings were well done. Spicy chicken and rice was terrific as was dry hot pot. My son, who doesn’t like the spice so much loved the pork with black bean sauce. Fried dumplings tasted homemade. Definitely a couple steps, if not three or four, above your average neighborhood chinese place. Very clean, well executed not Americanized. Count me in

Kum Kau

1507reviews

Kum Kau was our go-to for great Chinese food when at Pratt Institute. I know it's changed owners and location on Myrtle Avenue a few times, but was pleased to see my favorite appetizer, roast pork bun, is still on the menu. They're still big and incredibly tasty.. but there wasn't as much meat in them as back in the day (late '90s). Got 3 buns for $9. The current location is much smaller. It was busy so I guess the rest of the menu is still good, too. No seating inside or outside to eat, but has a long bench inside for people waiting for orders. Has a health department inspection sign with an A rating in the front window. Just disappointed that in 2024, I still had to pay with cash (they have a small ATM inside).

Food to me was much better 10 plus years ago just bought today 11/9/24 my opinion not much flavor

Yip Szechuan Chinese Restaurant

one of the best Chinese spots in the neighborhood (only thing is that their crispy fried noodles are not my favorite b/c theyre not like the most common ones that get sold in chinese restaurants but thats just me! i ate them anyway haha, i looooove crispy fried noodles) their chicken + broccoli 10/10 though. will be returning!

So good! I always get the chicken broc, amazing seasoning and flavor and great service run by a great family that has been there for over 20 years! They have great chicken wings and everything in between. I really Recording

New China Garden

Worst food ever do not go to this place if u love urself they cook with old grease the chicken wing were horrible and over priced stay away!!!!

Rice is very greasy. They reuse the oil too much. Wings don't really bring up the taste at all but only add crunchiness to the plate. They should wait out a little longer before just dumping the wings right out of the oil inside the plate. Much of the flavor isn't there. Onion is strong so, you will be feeling the rice / crunchy wings / onion flavor mostly. Compared to other places I've tried. This one misses that essence of flavor and freshness in oil. (Or at least not so much in the rice).

Taste of Taco

55reviews

Shrimp taco is the worst taco ever No seasoning at all They put four steam little shrimp in the shell with tomatos , cheese and lettuce And the chicken wings was old Don’t waste your money or time And the lady was rude

Ordered Steak Fajitas.. Steak was dried out like leather, no peppers or onions but instead was served with lettuce. The Tortilla was dried out like the beef.. just awful, I was hoping they be better, what a disappointment. AVOID

Woks Chinese

The food was excellent. Nothing great about the dining area. The staff was very friendly. The wonton soup was some of the best I ever had. Would definitely recommend and would come back here to eat. Next time I am in the area.

Food came out in less than 5 minutes and tasted amazing. Highly recommend

Chung Chun Kitchen

There food is good but when you call and a female answers she always get the incorrect order. I recommend ordering from the male rep. your order will never go wrong. Female is very rude seems like she’s never wrong. I placed few orders one with white rice and the other with fried rice sends everything with white. I call ed and she got upset telling me she repeated the order and I told her I said ā€œFried Riceā€. This was my to go spots but lately… there are becoming very rude. They won’t see a penny out of me. I recommend also GRACE RESTAURANT which is a few blocks down. There menu is more authentic. Wishing this business all the best!

Food and service at this mostly take-out place has been good since I've patronized them. If eating inside at night, be aware the bright lights attract outside panhandlers inside the shop without any regard for those eating. It's happened too often to count. Management tends to ignore this trend.

King Wok

I’m a regular customer, I always ordered from this spot because it was the closest to my home, one day the guy made me problems with payment, he said he will not let me give him my card information to pay for my sons food, although he knows me and does it all the time over the phone for delivery?? I don’t know what his deal was, but I won’t return there again, there are better spots to order from anyway because their food is not the greatest, especially chicken and broccoli.

Reliably good food. Tasty wings, great fried rice and good shrimp toast.

China City

Used to use them for years. Moved away and came back. Their prices hiked severely. Qualify of food has declined and that whole spend $20 get free egg rolls etc they don’t follow anymore. Spent $100 last night and not one soup or egg roll. Let’s also not forget how the delivery guy will literally hold his hand out staring at you. You give him a tip and it’s not enough apparently so he waits for more

The black pepper chicken is amazing!! I am Chinese and it satisfied my craving for authentic Chinese flavor! Also the lady at the counter is very nice
