Sweet Bamboo
The food is tasty. However, I didn't pick combo because I don't like my rice and protein in the same container but that is how it was served. The rice was a little too salty but tasty. I just wish the food wasn't all together in one container. I don't think I will order from here because of this.
The manager and staff goes the extra mile to make sure customers are satisfied with their service. I moved to the area in 2023 and have started ordering Chinese food from Sweet Bamboo. The food from this place has been consistently great. Every time I walk into the restaurant, the staff always greets me with a smile. Tonight, I ordered general tso chicken, beef with broccoli, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and chicken wings over the phone but forgot to mention adding extra shrimp to my shrimp fried rice. Once the food was delivered, I called the restaurant to inform them that I’m a regular customer and the fried rice didn’t include extra shrimps. The manager was very polite and mentioned that they would make another fresh shrimp fried rice for free and deliver it to me, while he checked with his staff on the issue. Within a few minutes after my call, the manager called me back and mentioned that they actually use a call center to take call-in orders and that the company provided a voice recording of the order. I listened to the recording and was embarrassed that I never mentioned the extra shrimp, lol! Nonetheless, the manager apologize for the inconvenience and still delivered the new fried rice. After 10 minutes, the new order was delivered to me. The food was hot and fresh! This exceptional service was unexpected from a Chinese restaurant. All the past Chinese restaurants I’ve been to would probably just ignore or charge me extra for the new fried rice. Other than the service, some dishes that I highly recommend are the General Tso chicken, fried chicken wings, and chicken with mixed vegetables. Their canned soda is just $0.75, probably the lowest price you will ever see nowadays from a restaurant.
Shanghai
This is a clean neighborhood spot where you’ll always find the locals. It’s on Sutphin Blvd and 97th Ave so parking can be tough if you’re driving. The food is always fresh and tasty.. The owner and workers are all friendly. I stop in when I’m in the neighborhood. There are a couple of new smaller hotels in the area when I’m sure would enjoy it
I go to this place very often. Always delicious food, friendly staff. A little small space to sit inside, but that's not the main thing
Long Hing Kitchen
The delivery guy is rude! I had to ask for my 3.75 change because he was keeping it as a tip without being told, I have no problem with tipping the guy it's just the way he does it, very disrespectful to my 10yr sister just because she couldn't understand him. The food is good just this rude delivery guy!!!
The delivery guy is an ass hole likes to yell at people. He gets frustrated because he doesn't know English. Cursed my 10 year old son
New Butterfly Restaurant
Their garlic wings and crab sticks are always delicious! Anytime I've called or visited, I've received good customer service! I've only had their garlic wings, fries, and crab sticks.
Today wasmy first time buying at this place. I read the reviews and it wasn't good but being the offspring of a chinese chef, there are certain things you become privy to. That said i ordered shrimp with vegetables and steamed rice. To me it was perfect... not salty at all which is synonymous with chinese food. Chinese people are generally quiet, blunt and extremely reserved individuals thats why sometimes they come off as seemingly rude. And as for the ambience....what can i say... its your typical chinese hole in the wall shop.... but it definitely does not mean they are nasty or the food is nasty! Panda King
The food was horrible. They don't know how to cook. General to was watery and tasteless. Wonton soup dumpling over cooked and it was only hot water thrown on the dumplings. Nasty food and tasteless. Would not recommend 😕.
Food is good but the egg rolls were stale and the cut their wings. They give you half of drum part and tiny pieces for the chicken wings if I’m paying 8 for chicken wings I want the whole wing not these baby pieces.
Apple Garden
This place is in need of a clean up I am not sure how they passed its Health Inspectors code I guess as long as the food temperature is right it's passable. The food was not bad but if you look from the outside you wouldn't want to eat from here.
Something happened to this store! They used to be good but lately they have been very cheap with their food. Look at the pics for proof. They barely gave me any rice. Like I pay money for food to full me and this what I get. Very disappointed! Fix this asap or u will lose customers.

Food is usually good but they could work on customer service. My family and I have been ordering from them for years now. Most times, they are pleasant, other times a bit rough, but the prices and food keep us coming back, 🤷🏾♀️ . They have really good house special fried rice, we always customize though 😋
Food is decent but the driver is horrible ! He literally harassed my family over a tip ! Personally texted our phones and threatened us over a tip. This is horrible service!!!!!!! Y’all need to do better
Chang Pai Halal Thai and Chinese
It's probably the worst halal chinese food I've ever had. Ordered Veg fried rice, Veg chowmein, Chicken Pakora and Chili Chicken (dry). First of all they got my order wrong, despite reconfirming with me 3 times what I ordered (they gave me shrimp fried rice, and chili chicken (with gravy), wrong. Second of all, the chicken was very rank (smelled bad and had a slimy taste). Third of all, the fried rice and chowmein had no seasoning (tasted like it was a cook was learning). Fourth of all, the hot sauce wasn't even hot. It was sweet. Top it all off, it was expensive. Wont recommend.
I recently dined at what claimed to be a Thai restaurant in New York , but it was far from an authentic Thai experience. The restaurant's interior was quite bleak and reminiscent of a bygone era, making for a rather depressing atmosphere. The sole staff member, a young woman, seemed to be juggling multiple roles, from greeting guests to serving and handling cash. It was evident that she deserved better compensation for her efforts. Firstly, the menu was a blatant copy of another Chinese-Thai restaurant, setting the stage for disappointment. The prices were shockingly high compared to the restaurant's location and the level of service provided. We started with the mixed Thai soup, which was a letdown. It contained only shrimp and bits of beef and had an oddly sweet taste. I'd give it a mere 4/10. The chicken wonthon was overcooked and lacked flavor, earning it a mediocre 5/10. Surprisingly, the mixed fried rice was the highlight of the meal, with a score of 7/10. However, the beef chili dish was an absolute disaster and couldn't even earn a single point. In conclusion, I would not recommend this restaurant unless you have no other options in the area. There are plenty of renowned Bengali restaurants nearby, such as Panshi and Ghoroa, where you can enjoy a more satisfying dining experience.
Sagar Chinese
Went to the Jamaica location today and it was a pretty good experience. They definitely need to upgrade their restaurant because it most certainly is dated. The food was pretty delicious, we got the Fried Rice, Noodles, General Tso’s Chicken, Thai Soup and Lollipop Chicken. The only thing I would like to suggest is why do we need to pay for Water? What happened to the days when we would be served old fashioned tap water? Can’t believe we have to pay for bottled water now, but I guess that’s the outcome of inflation.
I have been to the restaurant many times with my family, and it's always good to eat there. The food is good. Over time, I have tried everything on the menu. It's a good combination of Chinese/Desi taste of food. I highly recommend going there.
new King wok
Good food but terrible service over the phone!!!! WHY DID I MAKE A MISTAKE IF I DIDNT RECIEVE MY 9 COMPLETE ORDERS even when i spend 90$ they refuse to fix the order they MESSED UP. STOP PUTTING SMALL ORDERS IN LARGE CONTAINERS AND BLAME THE CUSTOMER SAYING THE FOOD IS THERE! You ARE SCAMMING PEOPLE AND CLOSING LIDS WITHOUT PUTTING THE FULL ORDER ! TERRIBLE SERVICE! I CALL OFTEN AND THEY ARENT EVEN CONSIDERATE ABOUT THEIR REGULAR CUSTOMERS! TERRIBLE !!!
Walked over from Archer to eat here. It’s was worth the walk. Typical 5 table eat in area but the good food overshadowed the modest atmosphere. Will come back.
May Luck Kitchen
The woman who took my order speaks fluent English and Spanish! Food was ready in 5 minutes which is great when you're in a rush. And my sweet and sour chicken was crunchy and tasted fresh. Sauce on the side so I could add as little or as much as I wanted. I'll certainly be back!
Of all the Chinese Restaurants I have been to around New york, this place is extremely rare. Not only do they not have any menus but the only food they have available is posted on the pictures behind the counter which is beyond ridiculous. You can get more options from a Food Truck than this Place. I would never spend my money in here and neither should you
Chef's Garden
I’ve ordered several times from this place and I called to complain that I asked for sesame shrimp and told her I got a sweet-and-sour shrimp with sesame sauce. It was full of breading. It was disgraceful. . I told her I would like to have something else that it was really bad, owner said no ! I said I’ve been ordering for years. Don’t you care that you will lose a customer if you don’t satisfy the customer and she said we simply just don’t care, I was appalled she said we’ve been here 25 years. We just don’t care!!!. I can’t believe a business owner said that. do not order from this place.
Firstly, the service was extremely lackluster. The staff appeared disinterested and inattentive, taking an eternity to even acknowledge our presence. It felt like we were invisible, waiting ages for someone to take our orders and then again for the food to arrive. The food quality was a major letdown. Despite the appealing descriptions on the menu, the dishes were underwhelming. The flavors seemed dull and uninspired, almost as if they were prepared hours before serving. The presentation lacked finesse, and it was evident that attention to detail was sorely lacking in the kitchen. Cleanliness was another issue. The tables weren't properly cleaned before seating guests, and the overall tidiness of the place left much to be desired. It's disappointing when the beauty of a garden setting is marred by unkempt surroundings. Lastly, the pricing seemed exorbitant for the subpar experience. I wouldn't have minded paying a premium for quality, but the value for money here was far from justifiable. Overall, my visit to Chef Garden was a letdown. With poor service, lackluster food, cleanliness issues, and inflated pricing, I'd hesitate to recommend this place to anyone seeking a delightful dining experience amidst nature.
