Went for lunch with coworkers for lunar new year. We did family style and ordered a bunch of entrees. My favorites were the pea shoots, chongqing spicy chicken, har gow, and fish filet in hot chili oil. Portion size could be bigger and the service can improve a little, though the staffs are friendly. The restaurant is a bit outdated, esp the interior decor and table/seats. Also, would’ve been nice if all the entrees came out at once instead of one entree at a time, esp when we didn’t even get our rice until a bit later. We also ordered a whole peking duck which only half came out first then after we finished that one, the other one came out which we didn’t realize they split it so it was a bit awkward eating the other half at the end when everyone was basically done eating. Not sure if I’d be back to dine here but maybe order their lunch specials from time to time.

One of the best Chinese restaurants, great food, great service and fairly price located in Midtown, NYC (near to Rockefeller Center). I have been this restaurant with my family and friends so many times, and all of them have positively impressions. Service is so friendly and politely no matter the restaurant is busy or not, treat all customers same way. The overall environment of the restaurant is clean with setting up simple wooden tables and chairs, it is not a high-class restaurant, but feel comfortable. My kids are so picky but they like this restaurant so much, and recommend the food, especially Peking Duck, Stir-Fried Tiger Prawns, Salted Egg Yolk Fish Fillet, Beef Tenderloin with Black Truffle Sauce, Soup Dumplings with Crab Meat, Pea Shoots with Chicken Soup and Crispy Eel. We will definitely come back again.

Not great. Small buffet with limited options. The food was barely warm, and the veggie fried rice was bland. We got all three plates (only 2 entrees per plate) and 3 apple juices and a can of soda and spent $45 dollars. I've had better, cheaper asian food elsewhere. We ate it, but I would never go back and never recommend it.

It looked really nice on the photo. However, it literally had no taste. I don't know what other menus taste like, but I don't recommend beef stir-fried noodles.

While ordering I mentioned less salt and less oil. On the order ticket it said less sauce instead of less salt. I requested the lady who took my order, several times, to make sure to correct it to less salt. She was so busy on the phone and kept nodding yes I had a feeling she will mess up the order. Sure enough the food had less sauce. The egg roll was dry. On my exit I said thanks and mentioned politely the food today was dry to which there was no reaction. If you are in the hospitality business shouldn't you say something like I'm sorry or next time I will make it up to you.....nothing !

Food was good, but i ordered fried rice and got yellow rice (unless that’s the new fried rice). Service was great here! Update on my second time buying food here!! I ordered sesame chicken and pork fried rice. The moment I started eating I knew something was off with that chicken. Lo and behold, food poisoning the following day that lasted 4 consecutive days of constant stomach pains, diarrhea and vomiting!!! Never going back!

This is a new eatery in the underground mall at 59th Columbus Circle. I usually hate leaving negative reviews for a new place but this place was awful. Terrible food for the price - ordered some roast pork buns, scallion pancakes and spring rolls. An hour later my husband was constantly vomiting, got terrible food poisoning. He normally eats healthy so we knew it was this place. Overpriced and horrible. Never again.

I ordered (lunch special) general tso chicken with vegetable fried rice. The rice was absolutely delicious 😋 however the chicken was mediocre. Lunch special comes with a soup or egg roll and drink.

I needed a quick byte and this “cafe” looked decent. Well , it was my mistake. Apparently it’s another Chinese food place which you see a hundreds all over Manhattan. It looks different but the menu is the same with one exception - is severely overpriced. I thought that food would be a better quality for a price (teriyaki chicken that you see on the photo is almost 16$!!!) , but it is not. I felt like products are about to spoil so they overcook them. While I was sitting in the place it was constantly loud and delivery guys are screaming in Chinese. And the very last thing- they didn’t put fork or napkins to my order....cmon guys , it’s the very least you can do. 2 stars out of 5

My biggest issue is that the restaurant appeared unclean and clustered. It is a small space and with moderate upkeep it can be tidy with ease. I never understand restaurant owners not caring about the cleanliness of their space. Isn’t this some violation? Even though they have chairs, it would be hard to view such sight while eating, in can’t it would be hard to eat the food knowing that the owners don’t care about cleanliness.

Food here is totally under the radar. They have Chinese food that tastes like how you expect Chinese food to taste. Chicken broccoli 🥦 is saucy you can always ask for extra sauce chicken wings are crispy you can ask for them to chop it up. Staff is very friendly and nice It gets busy here during lunch hours as it's right across from mount sinai hospital.

First and foremost they are very, very rude. Very bad customer service and don't know how to speak to customers, very nasty attitude. Second the food is not all that good. The chicken wings, shrimp lo-mein and shrimp and broccoli is the only decent meal to me. One time I ordered food for take-out they was a baby bird flying around in the waiting area, I left immediately. I miss the old Double Dragon when David and his wife was running the business. Please just be mindful when you order from there. THE FOOD AINT ALL THAT GOOD.

Lunch special is great! They’re also on Ubereats, Grubhub, and Doordash

We dined here on a Thursday night and the service was impeccable, with multiple waiters making rounds and helping us before we had to ask - e.g. hinting to eat a pork bun whole with the spoon in order to retain the broth, passing napkins the moment we had a quiet spill, etc. Everyone we interacted with was kind and patient. While I’m no expert on dim sum, I enjoyed the pork buns and orange chicken which had just the right amount of spice alongside actual orange peels implying a genuine prep process. Honestly can’t say enough about the service - this sweet little restaurant nestled in Chinatown was so much more on it than most upscale restaurants we tried in downtown Manhattan.

Food was too oily and saucy. Not authentic. Space itself was nice.

This place has the audacity and no shame to tell you eye to eye how much tip they believe they deserve after you are done eating. Tips are earned, NOT a right. Let me remind you of that simple fact. They shame you on the spot in front of everybody into submission to the dollar tip amount they announce, HANDS OUT in your face. It's very rude and they are not Americans, def foreigners who don't speak English. They want cash payment and ADD TAX. However, I'm very confident that they do not pay IRS the tax they collected. Go elsewhere. Tacky place.

The food at Bo Ky is absolutely delicious — everything was full of flavor and tasted authentic. I especially loved how comforting and satisfying the dishes were. While the service could be a bit more attentive, the amazing food more than made up for it. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Very frustrating as this place used to be great and now the food is super expensive and it doesn’t even taste good! I’d been okay if the food is decent but it’s not. The scallion pancake is dry and flakey. The soup dumplings have a weird taste. The dumplings are small and it’s not like the ones you’d seen at a proper dim sum restaurant. Portion is bad and the taste is off. I really don’t want to be critical to local business but this place needs a complete rethink of their model otherwise it’ll wash up on the shore of closed business Really hoping for this place to come back!

The food was great, dumplings were amazing, however the service was terrible. The people working here were so rude to us, me in particular. I had given the exact amount to pay on the receipt, because I always leave the tip on the table. I’m from Ohio, so I’m not sure if that’s uncommon in NY or not. They refused to take the bill because I didn’t leave a tip yet. I had also questioned the bill three times because it didn’t seem accurate and each time was ignored. They refused to take the bill again when I got frustrated trying to get answers about the pricing because I still didn’t put a tip. In my opinion a tip wasn’t deserved because of the service. I left one to be nice anyway, but if I could do it all over again I would have left the money to pay the bill on the table and not have tipped at all.

Just back from buying 2 packets of rice. One of which consists of the soy chicken and roast pork. Very disappointing as the Roast pork was very tough and inedible, seemed like it was from days ago! And the rice is also hard! Hoping the other fried rice is OK.

Avoid this place!!! Because it was nearby (0.3 miles) and I decided to order from here, but the food preparation and delivery took nearly an hour just for one dish. I ordered a three-meat rice dish, but the crispy roasted pork belly was super salty that I couldn’t even eat it. I specifically selected and noted that I needed utensils, but nothing was provided, I had to use the coffee stirrer from the hotel to eat. The business is run so poorly, avoid it!!!

In new york, I often go shopping in Midtown and eat in this restaurant. The food never disappoints me. The boss is humorous and has a very good service attitude, which is worth recommending.

Sesame chicken was light and crispy as requested, but very little flavor. The pork fried rice had five pieces of pork that I counted. The rice was light, but had less flavor than white rice. I used to work around the. corner from this place and for 25 years, it was absolutely unbeatable throughout the city and I’m not exaggerating Just a small amount of effort would make such a huge difference The extra pork and the rice probably would cost them less than $.50 so disappointing and unavoidable
