Came here for my birthday and had a really lovely experience! Compared to other michelin restaurants I have been to, the taste and presentation of every dish was very consistent. If I had to nitpick, I would say that the appetizers to me did not really seem Chinese at all- it was moreso broadly Asian (ex. tuna tartare with caviar which is not the most groundbreaking starter). Still delicious, but wish it could have been more innovative. My favorite dishes were the Wagyu and the deconstructed Shumai. I was also happy to be seated near the kitchen area so we could see the staff working, but I was a bit confused as to why the restaurant would place huge plastic tubs with food inside right in front of our view. I included a picture with our drinks and you can see this in the background. Everything else service wise was really great, it was just this part that was a bit distracting/not as elevated as I expected for a michelin experience. Nearing the end of the meal, I was starting to get worried that my partner and I would leave hungry because the portions are quite small even for fine dining standards. It ended up being fine for me in the end because we were loaded up with the extra desserts, birthday cake, and snacks, but I wish there was more substance in the appetizers/mains rather than in the backend. After our dinner, my partner did have to eat some food we had at home because it wasn't quite enough for him so if you have a big appetite you should keep that in mind.

There are not many Michelin rated Chinese restaurants, so we were excited to give this a try. Turns out, it's more like a typical Michelin restaurant but this one is "inspired" by Chinese cuisine. It was still very good but not what I had hoped for. The first three starters ("snacks") were my favorite. They were all full of flavors and spices and you could feel the Chinese influence. The next 4 plates were the main courses and while all tasty, didn't have as much of an asian feel - I could imagine them in any good tasting menu. Finally, the desserts lived up to the Chinese influence by being dull and average. Nothing much to note there. The wine pairing was very good and sorta reasonably priced - worth it. Overall it was very good but I may switch to visiting the bar where I can do a la carte.

This is a new Chinese restaurant (that replaced a former longtime neighborhood Chinese spot) and I have to say it did not disappoint. First off, they accept credit cards which the former did not. Delivery time was quick and food was hot. (The chicken wings are large and fried perfectly. I will say I tried the plantains as well and they just didn't do it, sort of dry and seemed like they needed salt or something. We also tried the general tso chicken and fried rice combo - this was better than expected. Rice was tasty and generous amount of chicken. Will be trying again soon.

I tried this place last night. I noticed they are different from the restaurant before. I like that they accept cards which is almost rare for Chinese food take out. They opened recently. I hope they keep the service and quality. Portion is decent. I was able to get something for under $10. I liked the food so far. Will be my go to take out in this area.

Friedman's West and La Salle Dumpling have merged into one restaurant. The good news is that two people craving different cuisines can now dine together at the same place. However, the downside is that those unaware of La Salle Dumpling's presence inside Friedman's may find it nearly impossible to locate the restaurant. This unique establishment offers two completely distinct cuisines, prepared to perfection. In particular, the xiao long bao and Chinese-style noodles are exceptional. The brunch menu exceeds expectations, and both the coffee and iced tea are outstanding.

As other reviews have noted, this place is inside Friedman's. Stopped by here for lunch today and really enjoyed the pork soup dumplings (fresh, tender, and hot, with a tasty filling). The General Tso chicken was also great, using 2 kinds of peppers (but not over-spiced). Friendly staff and attentive service!

I’m new to neighborhood and went there in person ordered and was very satisfied every time. BUT THE FIRST TIME I ordered for delivery the guy got my order wrong. He didn’t even charge me. I had to call back and tell him he didn’t take my payment. Then after I got my food. I called because the total charge was higher than what was told me. I needed to know if it included the tip so I could add it. The lady said I ordered something I didn’t. They proceed to tell me I didn’t ask for what I know I did. Then fixed my order by sending me burned chicken. They had someone who was gonna pay a lot of their bills. But he basically called me a liar. Then sent me crap that I can’t even eat out of spite. That’s horrible service. I could never eat there now. fear they will taint my food with their spiteful hearts.

Great go to take out Cheese food in the neighborhood. Fresh and delicious as always. Highly recommend Lo mein and chow fun. Delivery is fast and service is friendly.

This place is so good , I get a small strawberry boba every time I go there the taste is amazing, and the lady working there is very nice.

Whether I go pick up food at the store or order delivery, the food is always made to order and piping hot when I get it home. Some of the best Chinese food. I’d say not to judge their storefront by how it looks. The food is always good. Very nice people. It takes a minute to cook the food when you walk in and order, so be patient. Glad I stumbled on this spot when I moved to East Harlem. It’s a fave and I’m loyal to it forever 🙌🏽

Great overall Chinese restaurant, but especially for peking duck. BYOB, so you can bring your own drinks. For a party of 4, an order of peking duck and 3 side dishes were enough. Clean interiors, and spacious. Didn't walk in expecting Michelin star service and was pleasantly surprised!

Service was prompt for our walk-in party of 7. We ordered 2 Peking duck, seafood lo mein, Chinese broccoli in oyster sauce, and the jellyfish salad appetizer. The duck was juicy and the skin was crispy, 10/10. The lo mein noodles themselves were good, but they skimped on the seafood

This restaurant was phenomenal! The waiter was extremely friendly. Service was quick! The sweet and sour shrimp were colossal! The crab rangoon was the best I’ve ever had! This is my go to place in Washington Heights. Family owned for decades and their recipes haven't t changed much, and STILL it's amazing food for its price point. This Cuban/ Chinese restaurant makes amazing Spanish dishes and the best boneless chicken crackling. Below is the grilled fish that is fresh and flavorful. Their red beans and frijoles with white rice is money and you need to try their ropa veija that's succulent and tender.

Old school style and service. No frills vibe. Simple menu old school chinese style. I ordered special fried rice, crackling chicken bone in, plantain and a frozen lemonade. Everything was fresh since I was literally waiting at the door when they opened. The chicken was definitely a highlight as others may have mentioned. Delicious, crispy and moist. But the special fried rice, ugh so damned good! Really authentic with a light char flavor that I wasn't expecting but definitely appreciated. The frozen lemonade was perfectly balanced not too sweet nor bland. The plantain was okay. I was enjoying my food so much I lost track of time and damn near pushed a tall, handsome, gentleman out the way to hurry and pay because I had to run to work lol he was a good sport about it though and I apologized. The service was one little asian man running pretty much everything except the kitchen. I tipped him great and left in a hurry but I'll definitely be back for more!

A simple counter-service spot offering rice noodles and rice dishes, though the quality felt a bit off during my visit. The beef noodles were very mild in flavor, while the string beans side dish was overly salty, leading to imbalanced flavors overall. It might have been an off day, but I left feeling underwhelmed.

Fast casual serving authentic chinese food. There is a kiosk or order through the person behind the counter. Then, they give you a number and they call out the food. The wait time was around 10 minutes since it is made to order. I was not expecting to get a lot of meat but for the price it was surprisingly adequate. However, the beef soup was not hot at all. Overall, it is pretty decent food for the amount of you get, but there is still room for improvement. Also, the bathroom could be cleaner.

This location is close to my place and I order takeout from time to time. I placed my order at the kiosk and waited less than 10 minutes for my food to be ready. I ordered the Spicy & Tingly Beef Muscle Hand-Ripped Noodles (extra spicy) and Spicy Asian Cucumber Salad. Both dishes were delicious, and surprisingly, the extra spicy for the noodles weren’t bad at all esp given I have a low tolerance for spice. Pets aren’t allowed but I was able to carry my pup in to order and grab my food.

What a find! Noodles and dumplings were great! If we weren't staying near Central Park we would definitely come here again tomorrow. Great dive place like others have mentioned.

my friend recommended me this place and it ended up being very good. i had never tried a dim sum place before and i really liked that there was a menu you could check off but also a main menu. the food was absolutely delicious, my sister and i both got the orange chicken and it was nice and crispy with enough sauce, as well as a side of white rice which was fresh. we also got chicken dumplings and the taro dumplings from the dim sum menu. i will definitely be back

I’ve dined here once and have done takeouts plenty of time. This time, I picked up some chicken congee and shrimp dumplings which both were tasty. Also the price for the congee is great cause I thought it would be a pint but ended up being a quart. There’s two entrances and one is for takeout and the other is to dine in. Plenty of dim sum options and their beef chow fun is delicious. Love getting their Portuguese egg tarts as well. It’s great not having to trek all the way to Chinatown to get dim sum.

Today 3/24 I ordered Vegetable Hand-Ripped Noodle In Soup. Sub for rice noodles. I've added pictures, one from their website of what I ordered vs. what I received (my photo). This was just completely disappointing! The taste did not make up for the presentation either.. 😣

This place was a huge disappointment. We were in the area and saw this place and was very excited to give it a shot. I am a big fan of Xian Famous Food and was hoping for something similar. First of all the noodle was not even chewy. It was big, flat, soft and just boring. Did not taste the hand pulled noddles at all. We ordered the spicy beef noodle soup and the vegetarian noodle soup and both were extremely disappointing. The vegetable one was especially bad. It lacked in flavor and just bland and boring. We also ordered the spicy cumin lamb burger and the beef burger. And both were way too salty and lack flavor again. The chicken dry noddle was also bad... Really a shame...the place is cute and we really had high hopes. But a complete copy cat of Xian Famous food that failed. People who thought this place is good really don't know Chinese food..there I said it...
