Merry Land Chinese & Sushi - Long Beach
I made an order at this place, first great food but the delivery guy was just rude. I didn’t give him a tip due to the fact that I found out the amount they told me on the phone wasn’t the same amount when the guy arrived with my order. so I didn’t have enough for a tip then he asked me “your not going to tip” “ I was shocked and I said no sorry” he continued “ridiculous, they don’t even pay me to deliver “ he just went on and on. My husband and I were stung on his abusive comments. Mind you the food came up to $68 for my family. When I can give a tip I would but I don’t think I would order delivery again if I have to hear a man complain to my face about a tip. It’s not obligation to give a tip.
I’ve gotten food from here plenty of times and it was always good, last few times i got it not so much. Now tonight i tried it one last time and it was actually awful. like inedible we took 1 bite and threw it out. the chicken and broccoli was in a very watery sauce with a gross flavor and the dumplings tasted reheated. won’t be coming back
Kam's Kitchen
While the food is good and comparable to other places, what sets this place above the rest is its lightning fast delivery time. It seemed as though the chef was cooking my order the same time the words were coming out of my mouth. Then, after hanging up, the delivery driver is already packed, loaded, and hitting the pedal to the metal. It had to be record speed delivery with fresh cooked food. This place should be called, Lightning Kitchen! Makes all the difference when you're hungry and don't want to wait an hour or more.
Excellent food. The best ribs around - the only ones my husband likes. Large shrimp in their shrimp rolls. Quality in everything they do. Highly recommend.
Chun Mei Restaurant
My favorite, go-to Chinese take-out restaurant in Massapequa. Tasty, delicious sesame chicken and fried rice. I would high recommend trying Chun Mei if you are in Massapequa and are craving Chinese food.
First time ordering. don't waste your money. I've never seen black meat pork spareribs looked like they were cooked and precooked a few times black as night and hard as rocks never again
Asian Moon Restaurant
Pretty awesome spot. This is a mix of Chinese, Thai and Japanese food. So I'll put this in the category of Asian food. The menu is both tight and has variations, they offer the best of what they do best so it all taste amazing. We had the shrimp shumi, Pad Thai and Sashmi, all worth it with beautiful presentation. The decor is on point, I love the low light setting and various unique seating arrangements. I felt like the theme was half the pleasure, the other half was the food. The staff was lovely, I wouldn't be posting if they weren't, and I felt like the bill was very reasonable for what we experienced.
I went to Asian Moon on 7/12 with my boyfriend. This place puts the 'experience' in dining EXPERIENCE. We decided to sit at the sushi bar and do Omakase. We were omakase virgins.. and if you wanna have a good first time, do it here ;-P. We had Sam the chef cooking for us. He was a knowledgeable professional but still fun and lighthearted. We started with a pureed fish with caviar served with toast and seafood ceviche as appetizers. It wasn't all completely my taste but that is bound to happen with some dishes during omasake.. a risk you will have to take. In between dishes, he gave us shots.. one of which was Yamazaki and he told us the fun history of the pricey whiskey. Drinking and history lesson? Yes please! Then we moved on to the main show, the sushi. He brings out his big wooden box of seafood and cuts your pieces fresh off. He gave us fatty toro, tuna, the works. He explains where the fish is primarily found, how much it's sold for, how it's prepared, how to eat it, etc. Most pieces were raw, others were given a singe to draw the fat out. It was a show as much as it was a meal. Everything exquisite. It seems weird to say the fish melted in my mouth, but it DID, in the best way possible. He really lets the freshness of the fish speak for itself and adds only a touch of freshly prepared wasabi, soy sauce or sea urchin. He lets you have soy sauce on the table but warns you not to overuse. I usually completely bathe my sushi in soy sauce (don't judge me, that's how I like it) but for these guys, there's no need or even desire to do so. We finished off with wagyu steak.. seared just a bit on one side and even less on the other side, cradled in seaweed and topped with sea urchin. Tasted like a crazy upscale Philly cheese steak!! Sounds a bit odd, but totally awesome. I would go if I were you. My boyfriend and I agreed we felt like Tom Hanks and Scarlett Johansson in Lost in Translation. We both felt mentally transported. Go, do yourself a favor and just go.
Red Chopsticks
Red Chop sticks in my new favorite Chinese takeout! The egg-rolls and wantons were unique in that the dough tasted of egg. Like they were freshly made. Wantons were much larger than other places and filled with a lot of meat. The entrees we ordered Spicy Chicken and Garlic Chicken combo platters were great too. They made them with more spicy for us. Garlic Chicken was especially good tasting and it included larger than usual mini corn cobs. Red Chopsticks elevates Chinese take out steps above the rest. We can’t wait to order again.
OK, so this is my first time here because I googled the best Chinese and eastern Nassau so I decided to come here and lo and behold. I ordered a beef egg foo young large vegetable fried rice two pan, fried dumplings, three spring rolls and an order of general tso chicken. I was upset about the total of $74 but I understand inflation blah blah blah but when I actually opened up my food and realize that the chicken that they charge me $17 for 10 pieces of chicken with broccoli underneath, I was so angry and just for that, I’ll never go back here No, other place on Long Island does it?
Sake Asian
This is a place I keep getting invited to for group gatherings, and for good reason! This is a fairly small all you can eat Japanese restaurant but they have a ton of options. You order pretty much everything on a provided iPad and in a decently short time it is brought out. I personally recommend trying out their unique sushi rolls! My only complaint is the cramped parking lot but I usually find a space. A good place to eat!
It's amazing for all you can eat sushi. Don't expect the best fish ever but great texture and taste, it's just not the melt in your mouth you'd want from the best of the best. That being said for the price it's very good.
New King Dragon
I have been missing some good Chinese food. This place hits the spot and is very reasonably priced! The wonton soup has port pieces in it. The egg rolls are crispy and tender inside. The rice is good no egg though. The general tos chicken and pepper steak is very good. Must try. Very friendly and helpful staff!!
Consistently good! We rotate between these and are never disappointed: steamed dumplings, sesame chicken, massamam curry, coconut chicken fried rice, lo mein, crab meat wontons, ribs, and more. Everything is great. Staff is consistently great too.
Great Asian Kitchen
The only place in town that DOES NOT use MSG! Family owned and friendly. Great place to pick up dinner or lunch. Update: 2 years later and they are still the best food in town. Whenever my nephew has a cold, he asks for their delicious wonton soup. The owners are wonderful people and have raised an amazing son who is incredibly polite and makes sure your order is perfect every time. This is my favorite Chinese take out restaurant on Long Island. Considering I'm in the top 10% of restaurant reviewers on Google, and have over 71 million views, I can honestly say they are really that good!
The name says it all. Best take out Chinese spot that I’ve found since moving to the area. Their shrimp toast is the best i’ve ever eaten.
Wahs Garden Kitchen
Came across this small and quaint take out spot with plenty of parking. Greeted by a friendly smile. Food was delicious and flavorful. Restaurant was clean. Highly recommend
best Chinese food ever, been eating here 10 years+
Meet Rice
Easy online or phone ordering and pick up. Kitchen looks very clean and food was very tasty. The go to Chinese take-out in the area.
Good Chinese food. Fast, friendly service. Delivery quick and effective. Food always comes well prepared and fresh. Always hot and delicious. Has a website where you can customize your orders and order easily. Expansive menu. One of my go to Chinese restaurants. Good food. Good service. 5 stars easily. Closed on Tuesdays but if I want Chinese food on a Tuesday, there's many other great options, so I'm okay with that.
Taste of Mumbai
I love the taste of this restaurant. Goat curry is a MUST try. Tomato chicken curry gives a kind of refreshing acidity flavor. Another vegetable dish is potato and cauliflower dish. Naan texture is soft not chewy. I love to eat Naan with Goat curry sauce. Even my kids who is always picky eating like to eat this restaurant. But there is one thing to remind, this restaurant is a little bit crowded during weekend lunch hour.
I absolutely love this little restaurant. I order here often for takeout and I occasionally dine-in. The service is always very good. The food is delicious. I always get their Gobi Manchurian because it's one of my favorite things on the menu.
Cinnabar
Had a good time here. Its a not cute restaurant with decent prices. They sell pretty much most things you can get at a regular Chinese store, their portions are pretty good tho. I had the shrimp and broccoli, the broccoli was cooked to perfect! Their calamari was great too and their wings! Service was good and the atmosphere was nice and cute! I'd definitely come back!
Great spot. I guess it was an low key weekend as there was no hustle and bustle but our experience was still top notch. Service was amazing, food was delicious, drinks were making you want more. The Crazy Rich Asians margarita was a party in my mouth with a Pop Rocks rim!! I couldn't get enough of it! Ambiance was really nice!! Will definitely go back and hoping for a bigger crowd next time for socializing.
