Iron Chef
The portions are great! The Hot and sour soup is so flavorful and the perfect level of spice. Great fresh tuna and such I rice. Service is professional and friendly
The place is small, but the one time I ate in, the service was good. I ordered takeout tonight, and the tender beef was very chewy and not tender at all. The sauce was good, though. The orange chicken was delicious, but on multiple bites, I bit into a very bitter piece of orange peel which tainted the flavor. I will be back, because it is convenient and normally good, but I will avoid these dishes in the future.
Su Chang's
Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed. We ordered the platter for 2. The steak and chicken teriyaki were over cooked and dry. Crab Rangoon was small and had very little filling/ dry . Chicken Lo Mein was excellent. The individual meals looked great (observed surrounding tables). I would not recommend the pu pu platter. It’s obvious they reheat and don’t cooked the appetizers fresh per order. All items were very oily. Our waiter was nice but clueless. We returned 95% of what we ordered. He asked how everything was because of how much we did not eat. We showed him how overcooked everything was. No apology or action taken after bringing t it to his attention. We only ate the lo mein. We paid the bill in full and tipped 20%. We are not the type to complain but we will not go back nor recommend it to others. We moved..20 years ago the food was incredible! Sadly it appears that impression is no longer. Left disappointed.
I wanted to put down a review of the best Chinese style take-out I have ever had. This is not my first or second time eating Su Chang's, but the food has been so consistently delicious and plentiful over the years that I wanted to acknowledge this! I tend to order the same things, so this time we ordered quite a bit so that we could properly review different types of food and also to see what else was tasty! I have included a lot of pictures of the food straight from the box before we even took them out of the take out dishes. Once again, Su Chang's hit it out of the ballpark. Every single thing we ordered was HOT, delicious, and plentiful! We had to drive 20 or so minutes to get home, but the food in the box was still so hot that I had to use hot pads on the table just to photograph it. Excellent job of keeping the food hot and fresh! We ordered the following: Spring Rolls (AMAZING!) Vegetable fried rice Shrimp fried rice General Gao's Chicken Sweet & Sour Chicken Beef and Broccoli (to die for!) Chicken Lo Mein This came with two 1lb plastic tubs of sweet & sour sauce, two smaller tubs of hot mustard and a plethora of fortune cookies (yum!), soy sauce, etc. All of this together cost just over $100, but there is a LOT of food! The spring rolls are large, crisp and delicious. They go well with the sweet and sour sauce (with a pinch of the hot mustard mixed in!). One of the best spring rolls I have ever had. The General Gao's was understated and so goooood! Just enough sauce to stick to the breaded chicken and not overwhelm it. Not overly spicy, but does have a delicious, tangy zip to it. The Sweet & Sour chicken was breaded with a different sweet and sour sauce. It was sweet and tangy with veggies and pineapple chunks. Beef and broccoli was to die for. The beef melted in my mouth and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. The sauce covered both and is very close to becoming my new favorite! I have never had this before! So good! The Chicken Lo Mein was full of plump noodles, chicken and veggies. Very tasty! I have never had this either. it was not my favorite of all of the meals, but it was very very good! (Honestly, everything had a difficult time standing up to the beef and broccoli!) My husband prefers shrimp fried rice, but I love the veggie fried rice. It goes with anything you put it with and we appreciate that there is so much of it! I like to mix the sweet and sour sauce with a bit of hot mustard and mix it into the rice. That has a wonderful taste as well. They now pack it into a larger black food dish instead of the chinese take out boxes like they used to use a couple of years ago, so there is more in the portions. The fried rice (of any type and they have 4 or 5 kinds?) is really really good! Make sure you get some of this! We ordered all of this food around 1pm today and were told, "Okay, it will be ready in 10 minutes!" We had to let them know it would take longer for us to get there. Honestly, this delicous meal would have been ready in a quicker amount of time than going to a local fast food restaurant. It's hard to believe that they can make some thing this wonderful in such a short time period. Kudos to everyone at the restaurant for such a wonderful meal! I miss the dine-in experience with going to Su Chang's, but the tables are a bit too close together inside and it feels a bit too tight for me to relax, but their take-out service is so delicious, I do not feel that I am missing out. Do yourself a favor and try it! You will not be sorry. The food is amazing!
Lucky Dragon Restaurant
I recently visited Lucky Dragon in Lynn, and the experience was utterly appalling. I had already ordered the food online, so I went to pick it up in person. The moment I walked in, I was greeted by the sight of premade rice sitting in a big, uncovered white bucket. Right next to it, there was another white bucket filled with already cooked chicken wings, also uncovered. Both were in large quantities, ready to be refried. This setup was less than 10 feet from the door, where anyone entering could easily cough or sneeze, contaminating the food. The open kitchen concept might be trendy, but here, it’s downright alarming and unhygienic. Hoping the food would redeem the initial impression, I took home my order of chicken fried rice. To my disappointment, the chicken didn’t even look fried. It seemed they added the chicken to the already cooked rice, shook it around in a wok for a few seconds, and called it a day. The lack of effort was evident in every bite. Determined to give a fair review, I sampled the other items I ordered. The egg roll was decent, but nothing to write home about. The ribs were more bone than meat, and the chicken fingers were just okay. Overall, the food was far from spectacular, and certainly not worth the health risk. To top it off, I developed a sore throat a few days later, which I suspect might be from the questionable food handling practices I witnessed. Interestingly, they have an “A” rating from the state’s health department. I can only assume they must know when the inspector is coming because if they randomly popped up, this place would fail! Needless to say, I will not be returning to Lucky Dragon. If you care about hygiene and quality, steer clear of this place.
I ordered sesame chicken with veggie fried rice. It is the best I’ve had in quite some time. I’m so happy I ordered from this place!
Tandoori Chef 2 - Authentic Indian Cuisine
The dining experience was exceptional, bringing authentic Indian flavors rarely found in Jersey City. Without a doubt, this is the best Indian restaurant in town. Every dish was crafted to perfection—there wasn’t a single item that felt anything less than outstanding. Highlights include the Kale Papdi Chaat, Samosas, and Malai Kofta, which are absolute must-tries. Each dish offered a delightful balance of spices and textures, making the meal a true culinary journey through India’s rich cuisine.
Absolutely delicious meal! We sat outside on a beautiful evening and had a wonderful dinner. Service 10/10! Love the extra rice with our to-go bag. BYOB is awesome too.
Jade Pacifica
Every time I am in Massachusetts I stop there for some takeout. I live in upstate NY now and the Chinese food is not the same here especially the shrimp with lobster sauce. Everything is delicious and you have to get their crab rangoon
The spring roll was the best thing we had. Beef and pork either flavorless or dried out. Lo mein was OK but not much flavor. Server very nice and attentive.
Gourmet Garden
We used to love this place but since the new owners took over the food quality has continually gone downhill. The service is always good but all of the food has no taste. The hot and sour soup was one of the best but now lost flavor and sometimes comes cold. The beef was always so tender but now grizzly and poor gravy. We are through with this place.
This was the first time I came here. The service was friendly and I had Sashimi which was sooooo fresh and absolutely 😋
Fantasy Island
The fried wontons are not fried wontons??? They are filled with nothing, no meat. I am confused how it is a wonton. The price of 9 dollars for just a wrapper fried?
Great Chinese restaurant! I had the General Tso's chicken and a Mai Tai and both were excellent. Fair prices and big portions. Would be happy to come back again soon 😁
Kikis Chinese Food
Great service food and order for my work place 130 for all this food is amazing. Thanks again.
One of the best local foods in the area! Combos are portioned well, the food is always made fresh, and the people here are the sweetest. Highly recommend for takeout on a Friday night!
Honga
Been doing business for over 25 years. I keep hoping it’s gonna get better. The quality and the inconsistency has failed immensely. So disappointed that I had to write this review. It’s better to go up on your prices then go down on the quality of your food. Haven’t been happy for quite a while.
Love Honga been ordering for a long time! Someone from group needed gluten free - when I asked if there were any gluten free options they said it’s all gluten free! How can that possibly be? Know your ingredients! Some people can’t tolerate any gluten!
Chef Co Restaurant
Tried this spot for the first time the other day and I was pleased! The staff is so friendly and helped me come up with a combo plate. The food was both hot and fresh AND tasty! I think we found our new go to Chinese food spot.
I ordered off of the Vegetarian Menu... I got General Gau's Tofu, and vegetable fried rice (with no egg). The tofu was awful. It was not made properly. It definitely wasn't General Gau's. Instead of being a dark, thick, spicy sauce, it was a very watery, buttery- tasting sauce. It looked like a really watered- down apple sauce or something. I couldn't eat it, and my coworkers tried it and said it was awful. This was not General Gau's! It was not even something close! So disappointing! As an aside, the rice was dry and had a weird taste. I swear that there were a few pieces of meat in there, too.
Lucky Garden
This place is horrible I ordered a combination plate & this is what I got half empty plate over cooked rice & a plate inside were my rice is at that probably been all over this store this is not healthy idc place trash 📌 pluss over charged 40 dollars for this no
The menu has already stated that there are no combo lunch boxes available during the New Year.
Dozo Sushi Asian Cuisine
The service was fast efficient and friendly. The ambiance was off because of the television that was broadcast 24 hour cable news. There were three chefs rolling sushi so our order of 5 rolls and 6 piece of sashimi came out in about 20 minutes. Not the most delicious or beautiful sushi I’ve eaten but a solid place I would come back to if I was in the neighborhood.
The food was delicious. 😋We enjoyed our rolls, particularly the sweet potato rolls. The owner was super friendly. It was a simple, nice and quiet dining experience. We will return when in the area.
